  • the attachment shaft extends from the body portion.
  • first support surface region and thus also the first counter-support surface region are approximately orthogonal to a chisel receiving opening longitudinal axis and thus also a longitudinal chisel axis, transverse stresses may arise in the milling operation, which leads to considerable torsional and shear stress where the attachment shaft adjoins the body region. which may also lead to a demolition of the mounting shaft in unfavorable cases in the design of the mounting shaft with a comparatively large shaft cross-sectional area.

  • This angle has therefore proven to be particularly advantageous, since it has been shown that in milling operation, the forces acting on a chisel are generally not parallel to its longitudinal axis and therefore not in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the chisel receiving opening, but slightly inclined. This inclination can be accommodated by the employment of the shaft longitudinal axis with respect to the longitudinal axis of the chisel receiving opening.

Since both the base part and the chisel holder are generally produced as forgings, the surfaces serving as support surface areas or counter-support surface areas in the context of the present invention are thus basically manufactured and / or reworked in terms of materials. In this way, the high precision required for a substantial relief and accurate positioning of these surfaces can be ensured, which would not be feasible in a merely machined in a forging surface.
  • This process can then be repeated several times with recurring wear then, of course, in conjunction with the same set on a milling drum base part. If wear also occurs in the area of a base part, then of course this can also be done by a milling drum be solved by separating the holding this welding connection and replaced by a new base part.
