Description

The present invention relates to a lamp housing and adapter of street lighting with LEDs as a light source, consisting of a substantially rectangular, flat, cast, metal housing, with rear and front end faces and parallel longitudinal edge surfaces and on an upper deck surface with molded heat radiating ribs and a bottom of the Housing with a flat glass plate under which the LEDs are mounted on LED support plates mounted therein, wherein from the rear end face to the Lampengehäusemitte extending elevated structure is integrally formed by an upwardly open recess is arranged, in which a replaceable adapter for connection the lamp housing is mounted adjustable with a lamp housing carrier.

Until a few years ago, the main focus in street lighting was only on optimal illumination. Thereafter, more energy-saving street lighting was used for cost reasons. Only in recent times comes as an additional aspect, add the problem of light pollution.

After the light-emitting diodes have become more and more efficient, and have also come on the market as white light-emitting diodes, street lights have been used which are equipped with LEDs. These LEDs have many advantages, in addition to the energy-saving operation, these increase the lighting security, since the failure of a light emitting diode hardly affects the overall illumination. Another advantage is the fact that LEDs produce much less stray light and thus counteract the light pollution.

Street lighting of the type of interest here are known from various industrial property rights, in particular from the documents US 2009/0262543 . WO 2010/112205 such as US 2011/0060701 are those according to the preamble of claim 1, known.

The latter two documents also show street lighting with adapter, the adapter according to the WO 2010/112205 is not interchangeable and in the solution according to the US 2011/0060701 Depending on the purpose of attachment condition on the housing condition, whereby the economic advantage of an adapter is lost.

These street lights with lamp housing made of a metal casting are relatively expensive and accordingly one endeavors to use such a form for as many different applications. Street lighting is essentially made up of three different types. These are on the one hand street lights that are attached to so-called pillar candelabras, these are absolutely straight candelabra at the upper end of the lamp housing is attached. Here, the candelabra is relatively far away from the center of the street and the illumination would illuminate without appropriate precautions practically only the roadside or the sidewalk. A second type is the so-called cranked candelabrum, in which on the one hand a vertically upwardly running column is present and at the upper end to the middle of the road is inclined obliquely upwards or at the upper end of a directed toward the middle of the road arm is formed. The third, common design provides as a lamp housing carrier instead of a candelabra before a suspension rope and the lamp housing is now arranged centrally above the street hanging. Here, of course, the street lighting should allow as far as possible in the road direction illumination. These different conditions have to date for each case requires a specially adapted lamp housing. It is now the object of the present invention Lamp housing with adapter to create that can be used universally with all the usual lamp housing carrier.

This object is achieved by a lamp housing and adapter of a street lighting according to claim 1. Further advantageous embodiments of the subject invention will become apparent from the other dependent claims and their meaning and effect will be explained in the following description with reference to the accompanying drawings.

As already mentioned in the introduction, street lighting consists of a lamp housing carrier and a lamp housing attached thereto. The term lamp housing carrier is therefore chosen because the lamp housing according to the invention can be strengthened both when used on a candelabra as well as tensioned on the road suspension ropes. Lamp housing carrier is thus used as a generic term for candelabra of any shape and suspension ropes. Depending on the type of lamp housing carrier is in the mounted state, the lamp housing directly on the roadside, namely when using a so-called pillar candelabra or laterally protrudes a little way into the street area when a cranked candelabra or a candelabra with extension arm is or can Finally, if a suspension rope is used as the lamp housing carrier, also be arranged centrally above the road.

The inventive lamp housing with omission of the adapter is in the FIG. 1 viewed obliquely from above on the top of the lamp housing. The lamp housing 1 has a top surface 10 with a plurality of parallel, directly formed heat radiating ribs 14. At the edge of this top surface 10 here inclined end surfaces are formed. The front-side end face is denoted by 12 and the rear end face opposite this by 11. The two parallel lateral surfaces with respect to the longitudinal extent are referred to here as longitudinal edge surfaces 13. Starting from the rear end face 11, a raised structure 15 extending toward the lamp housing center can be seen. This structure 15 is integrally connected to the top surface and the rear end surface 11. The top surface of the 10 projecting part of the structure is aligned in the region of the rear end face 11 with this. Starting from this rear end face 11, a recess 17 is formed in the lamp housing 1 or in the raised structure 15. This recess 17 serves to receive a lamp housing adapted to the adapter, which establishes the connection between the lamp housing 1 and the lamp housing carrier.

In the FIG. 3 Now the lamp housing 1 is connected via an adapter 3 with a lamp housing carrier 4 only slightly recognizable. Clearly recognizes how the adapter 3 engages in the recess upwardly open 17 in the elevated structure 15. It can also be seen that the longitudinal axis of the adapter 3 and the longitudinal axis of the lamp housing 1 enclose an angle which according to a preferred embodiment is variable and as will be shown later, is relatively easy and accurate adjustable.

In the FIG. 2 is the adapter 3, as in FIG. 3 visible, shown by itself. This consists of two firmly interconnected parts, namely a pipe socket 31 and a pivotally mountable coupling piece 30. The pipe socket 31 has a clamping ring 31 'in which a clamping screw thread 31 "is arranged in the clamping screw thread 31" can screw a clamping screw, not shown here and thus hold the adapter 3 and its pipe socket 31 in the desired angular position form-fitting and non-positive. Usually three clamping screw threads 31 "are provided.

On the pipe socket 31 and integrally connected thereto, the coupling piece 30 is formed, which serves for pivotally mounting in the recess 17. This coupling piece 30 has a U-shaped cross-section, transversely to the longitudinal direction of the adapter 3. It consists of a top surface 36 and two lateral bearing cheeks 39. In these bearing cheeks 39 which are directed towards the lamp housing are arranged bearing bores 38 in their end regions. Accordingly, such bearing bores are formed in the recess just in the side walls. The connection of the adapter 3 with the lamp housing 1 can by means of lateral bearing pins or by means of a take place through the bearing axis, which are each secured in the axial direction by means of a Segerrings.

A second form of adapter 3 is shown in FIG FIG. 4 shown. In this case, the top surface 36 of the coupling piece 30 extends perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the pipe socket 31. The pipe socket 31 is in turn provided with a clamping ring 31 'in which clamping screw threads 31 "are formed in. The adapter 3 shown here is used in this form for connection to a column Candelabra as lamp housing carrier 4.

Its coupling piece is designated here by 30 and is designed such that it fits in the same recess 17 of the lamp housing 1. Instead of an axle-mounted, pivotable connection of the coupling piece with the lamp housing 1, the coupling piece 30 is designed here for screw connection. The adapter 3 is thus held firmly in the recess 17. At the screw-coupling 30, an arm 34 is formed, which ends in the mounted state of the adapter 3 on the lamp housing 1 from the rear end face 11 toward the front end face 12 obliquely upward above the top surface 10. At the coupling piece 30 opposite end of the arm 34 is a pin 41st arranged and at this pin 41 a stool 40 is held with cable clamps 35

Again, the coupling piece 30 consists of two lateral bearing cheeks 39 and a top surface 36 on which the arm 34 is formed. The bearing cheeks 39 rest on the lateral walls of the recess 17 here as well. The bearing cheeks are preferably provided with a bearing bore 38 and can be penetrated by a bearing pin, which results in a stable connection between the coupling piece and the lamp housing. Nevertheless, for additional security, the coupling piece 30 may be provided with a front plate 43 which overlaps the recess 17 on the lamp housing laterally or downwardly and results in an enlarged edition. In the end plate 43 also has two through holes 45 are provided, which allows a position-immutable connection of the coupling piece 30 with the lamp housing, and a Einstellschlitz 44, if one with the aforementioned central console 170 in the lamp housing movable and adjustable angle connection is to be realized.

Here, as in all the above-mentioned solutions, the coupling piece 30 engages over the centrally located in the recess 17 console 18. This console can also be used in the solution described above, namely by a bracket 18 through the second bolt is performed for securing, the is connected to the coupling piece 30, so that if necessary, this coupling piece is held by means of two bolts.

The modular construction of the lamp housing according to the invention ends not only in the different connection of the lamp housing 1 with a lamp housing support 4, but depending on the lamp housing support 4 is, as already mentioned, the lamp housing at different locations relative to the street to be illuminated. Therefore, it is envisaged that 1 LED support plates 2 are mounted replaceably in the lamp housing without this adjustments to the lamp housing are required. In the FIGS. 6 and 7 two such LED support plates 2 are shown in detail. While the LED support plate, according to the FIG. 6 , are typically realized for a lamp housing, which is arranged partially or centrally across the roadway, the shows FIG. 7 an LED support plate 2 which is suitable for a lamp housing, which is arranged on a lamp housing carrier side of the roadway.

Each LED support plate 2 has on the inside of the lamp housing on the side a flat Aufschraubfläche 20. On the opposite side of the Aufschraubfläche 20, the LED support plate 20 is provided with a plurality of inclined faces 21. These inclined faces 21 form the LED mounting surfaces. This is most evident in the FIG. 10 recognizable. In total there are four inclined partial surfaces intended. This allows the attachment of four rows of parallel juxtaposed LEDs. Every LED is in the FIG. 10 denoted by 5. In the market are also LEDs, which in principle consist of two light-emitting diodes next to each other, but which are arranged on a pedestal and are provided with optical light-scattering or concentrating lenses. In the LED carrier plates according to the FIG. 6 Each of the two outermost subareas 21 'is more inclined than the two centric arranged subareas. These centric lying surfaces are here provided with 21 ".

Zur Speisung der LEDs führen entsprechende Durchbrüche 23 von der Längsnut 22 zu den einzelnen Teilflächen 21.The second embodiment of an LED support plate is in the FIG. 7 shown, wherein also here the support plate 4 has partial surfaces 21, wherein these partial surfaces extend shredder-like, wherein one of the zuauszuger lying partial surfaces is arranged at the steepest and decrease the inclination of the subsequent partial surfaces 21 in the inclination. Furthermore, it can be seen that in the sub-areas 21 threaded holes or blind holes for non-positive and or positive locking mounting of printed circuit boards by means of screws or rivets are available. The LED carrier plates 2 have planar webs 24 between the partial surfaces. In the areas of these webs mounting holes 25 are mounted, by means of which the LED support plates 2 are internally screwed onto the flat surface of the lamp housing 1. In the assembled state, the LED support plates 2 are with their Screw-on surfaces 20 in intimate contact with the lamp housing on the same, with the exception of a longitudinal groove 22 which extends over the entire length of the Aufschraubfläche 20 extending. This longitudinal groove 22 serves as a cable bushing. For feeding the LEDs, corresponding openings 23 lead from the longitudinal groove 22 to the individual partial surfaces 21.

The use of the LED carrier plates is particularly advantageous for various reasons. On the one hand, thanks to the LED carrier plates, the LEDs can be aligned in such a way that, despite the low light scattering, a large and specifically designed illuminated area can be achieved. Depending on the desired light field thus does not need to be changed in each case the lamp housing, but it is sufficient to choose the LED support plates accordingly. On the other hand, the LED support plates 2 made of solid metal and thanks to the flat mounting surfaces and the corresponding plan inside of the lamp housing can achieve optimal heat dissipation. Of course, this heat dissipation also serve the heat radiating fins 14 mounted on the top surface. It is absolutely essential that the heat dissipation be optimally solved, since this determines the life of the LEDs. The LED carrier plates used here combine the advantages of an optimal light field design and a particularly favorable heat dissipation.

In the FIGS. 8 and 9 is shown the particularly advantageous possibility to align a lamp housing in the already mounted state optimally to the lane to be illuminated. Here you can see the lamp housing 1 and the adapter 3 with the pipe socket 31. At the pipe socket 31, the pivotally mounted in the lamp housing 1 coupling piece 30 is shown cut. In the bearing bore 38, a bearing pin 38 'is used here, which is secured by means of a segmer ring 38 ". The coupling piece 30 is offset from the bearing bore 38 to the pipe stub 31, again provided with bearing bores by a first pivot pin 171 only in the coupling piece 30 on both sides arranged in the lateral cheeks 39. In the recess 17 there is an approximately centrally disposed bracket 18 and in this bracket a bearing bore is also mounted, in which a second pivot pin 173 supports both pivot pins 171 and 173 are penetrated by an adjusting screw 172. A clamping ring 174 is placed on the adjusting screw 172 at a distance from the first pivot pin 171 on the adjusting screw 172, while a washer 175 rests against the first pivot pin 171. A return pressure spring 176 is mounted between the clamping ring 174 and the washer 175. In the cover surface 36 of the coupling piece 30 is e inserted in slot 37, the access to the adjusting screw 172 allowed. The inventive lamp housing a street lighting can now be mounted by means of the adapter 3 on a lamp housing support 4 and then can now by means of the adjusting screw 172, the generated light field can be directed to the street to be illuminated.

Ultimately, in the FIG. 10 the underside of the lamp housing 1 with an eye on the already mounted LEDs 5 shown in an open state. The top surface with the heat radiating fins 14 is therefore not visible. The interior of the lamp housing 1 has a front part in the direction of the front end face 12 by two LED support plates 2 are arranged parallel to each other in the longitudinal direction of the housing. A partition 19 divides this interior into the front area with the LEDs and a rear area in which the LED power supply is housed. Here, for example, elements such as a transformer 51 and a rectifier 52 may be arranged. The power supply can be done through bushings 53. At least one of these bushings can simultaneously serve the exchange of air so as to avoid condensation in the lamp housing 1. Parallel to the end faces 11 and 12 and the longitudinal edge surfaces 13, a peripheral collar 100 directed toward the cover is formed on which a sealing profile 101 is placed. The lid 102 has a peripheral frame 103 in which a glass plate 104 is held. This glass plate 104, which extends over the entire surface of the lamp housing 1, is sealingly on the mentioned profile 101, as well as on the partition 19. The lid 102 is mounted by means of corresponding hinges pivotally mounted on the rear end face 11.

The mentioned console 18 is arranged outside the middle to be outside the range of the feed cable feedthrough. This can be seen on the one hand on the arrangement of the elongated hole 37 and on the other hand on the overlying wall of the screw-coupling 30 in the FIG. 5 in which a corresponding, laterally offset recess is provided, through which the console can reach through.

Thus, with a single lamp housing cover all applications, with only the adapter 3 must be selected according to the selected lamp housing support 4 and in the lamp housing, the LED support plates 2, in turn, depending on the type of lamp housing support 4 can be attached. The cast metal lamp housings 1 according to the invention are more expensive than conventionally formed from sheet metal lamp housings. Thanks to the versatile use, however, large quantities can be produced, which can reduce costs again. This also brings benefits for the supplier since he only has a lamp housing with regard to storage and adapters 3 adapted for the various applications.
