Definitions

  • the present invention relates to the field of tables, and more particularly that of tables having a tray and one or more movable feet (s).
  • Such tables are already known, conventionally characterized in that the movable foot, if the table has only one, or each movable foot, if the table has several, is able to be moved to adopt at least one predetermined position in which the table is in a stable use configuration.
  • the table includes a foldable rectangular tray; and two movable feet which are both pivotable about an associated vertical axis, so that both feet can be arranged both in the lateral direction of the tray, when it is desired to fold the latter, than in the longitudinal direction of the plateau, when it is desired to deploy the latter.
  • the wheelbase i.e. the inter-foot distance
  • the width of the plate is limited by the width of the plate.
  • the small range of movement of the movable legs of a table according to this patent requires the designer to have to make an exclusive choice between ensuring a good stability of the table in its expanded tray configuration and prefer to opt for a tray having a large length.
  • the present invention proposes to realize such a new kinematics.
  • a table according to the present invention is defined by claim 1.
  • horizontal is meant a direction that is substantially parallel to the upper face of the plate (ie the face of the plate which is intended to serve as useful surface of the table, on which objects can be placed) and the ground plane when the table is placed on its feet on a supposed horizontal ground.
  • vertical will be used to describe a direction that is substantially perpendicular to the upper face of the plateau and to the ground plane, when the table is placed on its feet on a supposed horizontal ground.
  • the first foot is not connected directly to the plate but on the contrary via a connecting rod.
  • the first leg is pivotable relative to the connecting rod, which itself is pivotable relative to the plate.
  • the first foot can thus deviate and approach the first axis with a range of motion that depends only on the size of the center of the connecting rod (the distance between the first axis and the second axis).
  • first foot and / or the rod can further translate in the lateral direction of the table during their respective movement between the first and second position of the first foot (For example, to allow locking / unlocking the first foot in its first or second position), it is still preferable to prevent these translational movements to increase the robustness of the table.
  • first leg is pivotally rotatable about the second axis of the connecting rod to move from a first position in which its first end and its second end are respectively turned towards the plate and towards the ground, to a second position. position in which its first end and its second end are respectively turned towards the ground and towards the plateau.
  • first and second ends of the first leg are both free to move relative to the plate while allowing that in the first position, the plate rests on the first end of the first foot.
  • the table may advantageously comprise means for wedging the first end of the first foot relative to the plate in the first position, so as to prevent any inadvertent movement of the first foot when the latter has adopted his first position.
  • the stability of the table can be improved when the first foot occupies its first position.
  • the connecting rod is connected to the first foot in a place of the latter which is located between its first and second ends (in an intermediate position of the first foot which is located between the first end and the second end of the first leg) and at a distance of these.
  • first and second ends of the first foot can both describe a circular path in the reference frame of the connecting rod.
  • the fact that the first foot can be returned can be advantageously used so that the table is able to rest on the first foot not only when it adopts its first position but also when it adopts its second position.
  • the plate can advantageously be supported on the second end of the first foot when the latter is in its second position, so as to increase the rigidity and stability of the table in this configuration.
  • the table may optionally include means for wedging the second end of the first foot relative to the plate in the second position, so as to avoid inadvertent movement of the first foot and thus increase the stability of the table when the first foot is in its second position.
  • the first foot since the first foot is connected to the connecting rod by a pivot connection whose axis is the second axis, the first foot forms a first angle with the connecting rod when it adopts its first position, and forms a second angle distinct from the first with the connecting rod when he takes his second position.
  • any value for the first angle and any value for the second angle can be chosen, provided only that, from a first position in which its first end and its second end are respectively turned towards the plate and towards the ground, the first leg can be returned by pivoting around the second axis of the connecting rod to adopt a second position in which its first end and its second end are respectively rotated towards the ground and towards the plateau.

  • the table may advantageously comprise a substructure to which is connected the first foot via its connecting rod and the second foot.
  • the tray can then be fixedly mounted on this substructure when it is desired to assemble the table to use it.
  • the tray can also be detached from this substructure when it is desired to disassemble the table to store it.
  • the tray is stored separately from the substructure which can occupy a minimized volume advantageously taking advantage of the kinematics of the present invention so that the first foot in its second position is close to the second foot.

Description

La présente invention concerne le domaine des tables, et plus particulièrement celui des tables comportant un plateau et un ou plusieurs pieds mobile(s).The present invention relates to the field of tables, and more particularly that of tables having a tray and one or more movable feet (s).

Such tables are already known, conventionally characterized in that the movable foot, if the table has only one, or each movable foot, if the table has several, is able to be moved to adopt at least one predetermined position in which the table is in a stable use configuration.

These known tables all have the same defect of implementing movable foot movement kinematics which allow only a limited range of movement of this foot, which results in various disadvantages inherent to the kinematics used.

Nous pouvons également prendre le cas particulier de la cinématique conventionnelle divulguée dans le brevet US 1,516,323 .For example, we can cite the patent FR 1,283,277 which discloses a first type of conventional folding table. We can also take the particular case of the conventional kinematics disclosed in the patent US 1,516,323 .

According to the latter patent, the table includes a foldable rectangular tray; and two movable feet which are both pivotable about an associated vertical axis, so that both feet can be arranged both in the lateral direction of the tray, when it is desired to fold the latter, than in the longitudinal direction of the plateau, when it is desired to deploy the latter.

In this type of table, it is necessary, especially for issues of size and aesthetics, that the two movable feet do not exceed the plate when they are arranged in the lateral direction of the latter.

As a result of the small range of motion allowed by the kinematics according to this patent, the wheelbase (i.e. the inter-foot distance) of the table in its deployed plate configuration is limited by the width of the plate.

Therefore, the small range of movement of the movable legs of a table according to this patent requires the designer to have to make an exclusive choice between ensuring a good stability of the table in its expanded tray configuration and prefer to opt for a tray having a large length.

There is therefore a pressing need for the development of a new movement kinematics of a movable foot of a table allowing the latter a greater range of motion.

The present invention proposes to realize such a new kinematics.

Plus particulièrement, une table selon la présente invention est définie par la revendication 1.More particularly, a table according to the present invention is defined by claim 1.

By "horizontal" is meant a direction that is substantially parallel to the upper face of the plate (ie the face of the plate which is intended to serve as useful surface of the table, on which objects can be placed) and the ground plane when the table is placed on its feet on a supposed horizontal ground.

Similarly, the term "vertical" will be used to describe a direction that is substantially perpendicular to the upper face of the plateau and to the ground plane, when the table is placed on its feet on a supposed horizontal ground.

In addition, it will be characterized later "lateral" direction of the table any direction that is parallel to the first and second axes.

Similarly, it will be characterized later "longitudinal" direction of the table any direction which is horizontal and perpendicular to the first and second axes.

It is understood that, according to the present invention, the first foot is not connected directly to the plate but on the contrary via a connecting rod.

Thus, the first leg is pivotable relative to the connecting rod, which itself is pivotable relative to the plate.

As a result, the range of motion of the first foot in the repository of the board is increased.

The first foot can thus deviate and approach the first axis with a range of motion that depends only on the size of the center of the connecting rod (the distance between the first axis and the second axis).

It is thus possible to obtain at least one stable configuration of the table in which the distance between the first and second feet does not depend on the dimensions of the plate.

As a result, it is possible to simultaneously optimize the wheelbase of the table and the dimensions of the plate.

Although it is not excluded from the scope of the present invention that the first foot and / or the rod can further translate in the lateral direction of the table during their respective movement between the first and second position of the first foot (For example, to allow locking / unlocking the first foot in its first or second position), it is still preferable to prevent these translational movements to increase the robustness of the table.

In addition, the first leg is pivotally rotatable about the second axis of the connecting rod to move from a first position in which its first end and its second end are respectively turned towards the plate and towards the ground, to a second position. position in which its first end and its second end are respectively turned towards the ground and towards the plateau.

It is thus understood that the pivoting extent of the first foot relative to the connecting rod can thus be increased.

It is further understood that the first and second ends of the first leg are both free to move relative to the plate while allowing that in the first position, the plate rests on the first end of the first foot.

Given this freedom of movement of the first and second ends of the first foot relative to the plate, the table may advantageously comprise means for wedging the first end of the first foot relative to the plate in the first position, so as to prevent any inadvertent movement of the first foot when the latter has adopted his first position.

As a result, the stability of the table can be improved when the first foot occupies its first position.

Advantageously, the connecting rod is connected to the first foot in a place of the latter which is located between its first and second ends (in an intermediate position of the first foot which is located between the first end and the second end of the first leg) and at a distance of these.

It is thus understood that the first and second ends of the first foot can both describe a circular path in the reference frame of the connecting rod.

Furthermore, the fact that the first foot can be returned can be advantageously used so that the table is able to rest on the first foot not only when it adopts its first position but also when it adopts its second position.

Therefore, the plate can advantageously be supported on the second end of the first foot when the latter is in its second position, so as to increase the rigidity and stability of the table in this configuration.

In this case, the table may optionally include means for wedging the second end of the first foot relative to the plate in the second position, so as to avoid inadvertent movement of the first foot and thus increase the stability of the table when the first foot is in its second position.

Moreover, since the first foot is connected to the connecting rod by a pivot connection whose axis is the second axis, the first foot forms a first angle with the connecting rod when it adopts its first position, and forms a second angle distinct from the first with the connecting rod when he takes his second position.

It should be understood that, in the sense of the present invention, any value for the first angle and any value for the second angle can be chosen, provided only that, from a first position in which its first end and its second end are respectively turned towards the plate and towards the ground, the first leg can be returned by pivoting around the second axis of the connecting rod to adopt a second position in which its first end and its second end are respectively rotated towards the ground and towards the plateau.

For example and without limitation, it can be chosen that the second angle is close to zero (in particular less than 10 ° in absolute value), so that when the first foot is in its second position, the latter is substantially parallel to the connecting rod.

It can indeed reduce the size of the assembly consisting of the first leg and its connecting rod, when the first foot adopts its second position.

Therefore, to further reduce this space, it is advantageous that the first foot has a recess in which at least a portion of the rod is housed when the first foot adopts its second position.

Advantageously but not necessarily, the first foot is substantially plane. In this case, the second axis and the first and second ends of the first foot are substantially contained in this plane.

Therefore, the plane of the first foot can advantageously be substantially vertical when the first foot adopts its first position.

Similarly, the plane of the first foot can advantageously be substantially vertical when the first foot adopts its second position.

It is understood that these particular arrangements make it possible to minimize the torsional torques exerted by the weight of the plate on the first leg.

Furthermore, the plate may advantageously be non-deformable (i.e. be constituted of a single kinematic sub-assembly), for example monobloc, which is less expensive but more cumbersome when it is desired to store the table.

In this case, the table may advantageously comprise a substructure to which is connected the first foot via its connecting rod and the second foot. The tray can then be fixedly mounted on this substructure when it is desired to assemble the table to use it. The tray can also be detached from this substructure when it is desired to disassemble the table to store it. In this case, the tray is stored separately from the substructure which can occupy a minimized volume advantageously taking advantage of the kinematics of the present invention so that the first foot in its second position is close to the second foot.

According to an advantageous alternative, the plate comprises a support portion which supports the first axis of the connecting rod, and at least a first folding portion pivotally mounted relative to the support portion, so as to be able to move between an unfolded configuration in which the first foot can be placed under the first folding part, and a folded configuration in which the first foot is placed under the support part.

It is understood that the first position of the first foot is obtained when the latter is placed under the first foldable part in its unfolded configuration, while the second position of the first foot is obtained when the latter is placed under the support part so as to be able to fold down the first folding part.

It follows that the mobility of the first foot can be used to clear the foot from below the first part foldable to allow the folding of the latter.

The first folding portion in its unfolded configuration may advantageously come to bear on the first end of the first foot, when The last one adopts its first position, so that the first foot participates in maintaining the first folding part in its unfolded configuration.

In addition, the table may advantageously comprise means for securing the first folding part in its unfolded configuration.

Similarly, the table may advantageously comprise means for securing the first foldable portion in its folded configuration.

Advantageously, the second foot of the table is a fixed foot. It is thus understood that it is always the same two ends of the second foot which are respectively turned towards the plate and towards the ground.

According to an advantageous alternative, the second foot is a movable foot.

In this case, it can advantageously be chosen any kinematic displacement for the second foot.

However, it is preferable that the second movable foot is similar to the first foot, so that its range of motion is also maximized and optimize the overall aesthetics of the table.

In this case, the table comprises another connecting rod which is associated with the second foot and which is similar to the connecting rod associated with the first foot.

The term "analogue" is intended to mean that the second foot and associated connecting rod may advantageously and arbitrarily have one or more of the characteristics which are described above or hereinafter in the present application in association with the first foot and its connecting rod.

In particular, the table may advantageously be such that, from a first position in which its first end and its second end are respectively turned towards the plate and towards the ground, the second leg is able to be returned by pivoting around the second axis of its connecting rod to adopt a second position in which its first end and its second end are respectively turned towards the ground and towards the plateau.

In addition, the plate may advantageously comprise a second folding part pivotally mounted relative to the support part, on the side opposite the side to which the first folding part is connected to the support part, so that the second folding part can move between an unfolded configuration in which the second foot can be placed under the second folding part, and a folded configuration in which the second foot is placed under the support part.

According to the invention, the table occupies a stable position both when the first foot is in its first position and when it adopts its second position.

According to the invention, the vertical distance between the plate and the second end of the first foot in its first position is substantially equal to the vertical distance between the plate and the first end of the first foot in its second position. To do this, one can for example adapt the dimensions of the connecting rod and the first foot, as well as the positioning of the connecting places of the connecting rod with the plate (the position of the first axis) and the connecting rod with the first foot (the position of the second axis) ..

Therefore, it is sufficient that this vertical distance is substantially equal to the vertical distance between the plate and those of the two ends of the second foot which is permanently turned towards the ground, when the second foot is a fixed foot.

Similarly, when the second foot is a mobile foot similar to the first foot, the table can advantageously occupy a stable position when one of the first and second feet is in its first position, while the other of said feet is in its second position. position.

To do this, one can for example adapt the dimensions of the second foot and its connecting rod, as well as the positioning of the connecting places of this connecting rod with the plate and the connecting rod with the second foot, in a similar way to that described above.

In addition, when the plate comprises a support part and at least a first folding part, the table can advantageously be stable both in the unfolded configuration of the first folding part and in the folded configuration of the latter, in which case the table can then be used as a console that has a small footprint, the useful surface of the console on which objects can be arranged being formed by the support portion.

Furthermore, when the second foot is a movable foot which is similar to the first foot, the table may advantageously comprise at least one compass with two branches adapted to be spaced respectively between the first and second feet in their first position to maintain spaced said feet .

It is understood that such a compass can thus adopt a configuration in which its two branches are spaced between the first and second feet, when the latter are both in their first position.

As a result, such a compass makes it possible to stiffen the table in this configuration, and to increase its stability by preventing any inadvertent movement of the two feet.

In addition, it can be advantageously provided that the compass has a hard point of maintaining its two branches in their spacing configuration between the first and second feet.

It is thus clear that this hard point materializes means for maintaining the two branches of the compass in their spacing configuration, which the user must overcome by providing a force when he wishes to fold the two branches of the compass to allow the first and second feet to change position.

Advantageously, the two branches of the compass are pivotally mounted respectively on the connecting rod of the first foot and the connecting rod of the second foot.

Advantageously, the two branches of the compass are adapted to be brought closer to apply respectively against the connecting rod of the first foot and the connecting rod of the second foot when the two feet adopt their second position.

It is understood that the size of the two arms of the compass can thus be minimized.

To the figure 1 , there is shown an illustrative and non-limiting example of a table according to the present invention.

Selon l'exemple illustré, la table comprend un plateau 10 et deux pieds 50 et 50'.According to the illustrated example, the table comprises a plate 10 and two feet 50 and 50 '.

Le premier pied 50 est un pied mobile. The first foot 50 is a movable foot.

More specifically, the table comprises a first connecting rod 80 connected to the plate 10 by a first horizontal axis X1 and to the first leg 50 by a second horizontal axis X2, so that, from a first position in which its first end 52 and its second end 54 are respectively turned towards the plate 10 and towards the ground, the first leg 50 is adapted to be pivotally turned around the second axis X2 of the first rod 80 to adopt a second position in which its first end 52 and its second end 54 are respectively turned towards the ground and towards the plate 10.

According to the illustrated example, the first position of the first leg 50 is a spacing position in which the distance between the first foot 50 and the first axis X1, in the longitudinal direction of the table, is the largest.

Similarly, according to this example, the second position of the first foot 50 is a close position in which the distance between the first foot 50 and the first axis X1, in the longitudinal direction of the table, is the smallest.

When the first leg 50 is in its first position, the plate 10 of the table rests on the first end 52 of the first leg 50, which is turned towards the plate 10.

The first end 52 of the first leg 50 is embodied by a single bearing surface, or several bearing surfaces 53 spaced in at least one direction, in particular the lateral direction of the table, which is (are) arranged (s). ) so that the plate 10 bears against said bearing surface (s) when the first leg 50 adopts its first position.

In addition, when the first leg 50 is in its first position, the second end 54 of the first leg 50 is turned towards the ground so as to bear on the ground.

The second end 54 of the first leg 50 is embodied by a single bearing surface, or several bearing surfaces 55 spaced apart in at least one direction, in particular the lateral direction of the table, which is (are) arranged (s) to bear on the ground when the first foot 50 adopts its first position.

Advantageously but not necessarily, the plate 10 of the table rests on the second end 54 of the first leg 50 which is turned towards the plate 10, when the first leg 50 is in its second position.

Dans ce cas, le plateau 10 prend appui sur la ou les surfaces d'appui 55 définissant la deuxième extrémité 54 du premier pied 50.In this case, the plate 10 bears on the bearing surface or surfaces 55 defining the second end 54 of the first leg 50.

In addition, when the first leg 50 is in its second position, the first end 52 of the first leg 50 is turned towards the ground so as to be supported on the ground.

Therefore, the bearing surface or surfaces 53 defining the first end 52 of the first leg 50 bear on the ground when the first leg 50 adopts its second position.

According to the illustrated example, in particular figure 9 the first foot 50 comprises a central portion 58 which branches out into several branches 56 spaced apart from each other.

More particularly, the first leg 50 comprises four legs 56 which are spaced apart so that the first leg 50 is substantially X-shaped.

However, it would be possible to provide, without departing from the scope of the present invention, any other arrangement and / or number of branches, so that the first foot 50 has a completely different shape, for example an I-shaped, Y-shape, in H, two T reversed, or other.

The first end 52 of the first leg 50 is embodied in this example by two bearing surfaces 53 which are spaced in the lateral direction of the table, and which are respectively formed at the end of a first of the four branches 56 which is the farthest from the central portion 58 and at the end of a second of the four branches 56 which is furthest from the central portion 58.

The second end 54 of the first leg 50 is embodied in this example by two bearing surfaces 55 which are spaced in the lateral direction of the table, and which respectively correspond to the end of a third of the four branches 56 which is the further away from the central portion 58 and at the end of the fourth leg 56 which is furthest from the central portion 58.

The first folding portion 30 is pivotally mounted relative to the support portion 20 so as to be movable between an unfolded configuration which is illustrated in FIGS. Figures 1 to 4 , and a folded configuration that is illustrated in the figure 5 .

As illustrated in particular at figure 11 the first folding portion 30 is connected to the support portion 20 by a third axis X3 extending in the lateral direction of the table and which is parallel to the first and second axes X1 and X2.

According to the illustrated example, the first folding portion 30 and the support portion 20 are interconnected by a pivot connection whose axis is the third axis X3 and which prevents any translation movement of the one relative to the other in the direction of the third axis X3.

To do this, the connection between the first folding portion 30 and the support portion 20 is formed by means of a hinge with one or more hinges 22, in particular two hinges, which are secured to a lateral end of the first folding part 30.

However, without departing from the scope of the present invention, it would be possible to connect the first folding part 30 and the support part 20 by a sliding pivot-type connection, for example to allow the first folding part 30 to be locked / unlocked. unfolded configuration.

According to the illustrated example and not limitation, the plate 10 is substantially rectangular in shape and comprises two smaller sides in the lateral direction of the table, and two longer sides in its longitudinal direction, when its two foldable parts 30, 30 ' are both in their unfolded configuration.

To do this, the two foldable parts 30, 30 'and the support portion 20 are themselves generally rectangular in shape.

However, without departing from the scope of the present invention, it would be possible to provide an entirely different form for the plate 10, for example a circular, oval, polygonal or other shape.

According to the illustrated example, the table has a plane of symmetry corresponding to the median plane of the support portion 20 which is parallel to the vertical and lateral directions of the table.

It follows that the second foot 50 'is also a movable foot which is identical to the first foot 50, and which is connected to the plate 10 via a second connecting rod 80' identical to the first rod 80.

It also follows that the second folding part 30 'is identical to the first folding part 30, and is pivotally mounted relative to the support portion 20, the opposite side, in the longitudinal direction of the table, the side to which the first foldable part 30 is connected to the support part 20, so that the second folding part 30 'can also move between an unfolded configuration and a folded configuration.

It further results that the second foot 50 'may comprise one or more of all the features which have been previously described or which will now be in association with the first foot 50, so that the description of these features in association with the second foot 50 'will not be repeated.

Similarly, the second connecting rod 80 'may comprise one or more of all the features which have been previously described or which will now be in association with the first connecting rod 80, so that the description of these characteristics in association with the second rod 80 'will not be repeated.

Also, the second folding part 30 'of the plate 10 may comprise one or more of all the features which have been previously described or which will now be in combination with the first folding part 30, so that the description of these characteristics in combination with the second folding part 30 'will not be repeated.

According to the illustrated example, the first connecting rod 80 and the second connecting rod 80 'are both connected to the support portion 20 of the plate 10.

More specifically, the support portion 20 supports the first axis X1 of the first link 80 and the first axis of the second link 80 ', so that the first axis X1 of the first link 80 and the first axis of the second link 80 'are spaced in the longitudinal direction of the table.

We will now describe the kinematics of the first foot 50 when it moves from its first position to its second position.

To the Figures 1 and 2 the first foot 50 has been shown in its first position. The latter is obtained when the first foot 50 is placed under the first folding part 30 in its unfolded configuration.

Thus, when the first leg 50 adopts its first position, its first end 52 and second end 54 are respectively turned towards the first folding portion 30 in its unfolded configuration and to the ground.

Comme illustré par la flèche à la figure 3, lorsque l'on souhaite faire passer le premier pied 50 de sa première position à sa deuxième position, il suffit de faire pivoter le premier pied 50 autour du deuxième axe X2 de la première bielle 80.As illustrated by the arrow at figure 3 when it is desired to pass the first leg 50 from its first position to its second position, it is sufficient to rotate the first leg 50 about the second axis X2 of the first rod 80.

According to the example shown in figure 4 the second position of the first foot 50 is reached when the latter has sufficiently rotated to be turned over and placed under the support part 20.

It follows from this reversal of the first foot 50 that, when the latter adopts its second position, its first end 52 is turned towards the ground, while its second end 54 is turned towards the support portion 20 of the plate 10.

According to the illustrated example, the first rod 80 is pivoted relative to the plate 10 about the first axis X1, when the first leg 50 passes from its first position to its second position.

As illustrated in figure 5 the first folding portion 30 of the tray 10 can be folded down so that the latter adopts its folded configuration, once the first leg 50 is in its second position.

Lorsque l'on désire faire passer le premier pied de sa deuxième position à sa première position, il suffit alors de déplier la première partie rabattable 30 et de retourner par pivotement le premier pied 50 dans le sens inverse de celui illustré par la flèche de la figure 3.When it is desired to pass the first foot from its second position to its first position, it suffices then to unfold the first folding part 30 and to pivotally return the first foot 50 in the opposite direction to that illustrated by the arrow of the figure 3 .

Moreover, as illustrated in figure 1 , the table is able to occupy a stable position (ie a position in which objects can be placed on at least a portion of the upper face of the tray, when the table is placed on a floor) in a first configuration which corresponds to its classic configuration of use. This configuration is obtained when both feet 50 and 50 'are both in their respective first position and respectively disposed under the two foldable parts 30 and 30' of the plate 10 in their respective unfolded configuration.

Indeed, since in this example the two feet 50 and 50 'are identical, the vertical distance between the plate 10 and the second end 54 of the first foot 50 (which is in this case that which is turned towards the ground) is identical to the vertical distance between the plate 10 and the second end of the second foot 50 '(which is in this case that which is turned towards the ground). As a result, the upper face of the plate 10 can be horizontal when the floor on which the table is placed is also.

It may be noted on the one hand that this first configuration of use of the table corresponds to that in which the two feet 50 and 50 'are the most spaced apart from each other in the longitudinal direction of the table, and on the other hand that this spacing distance of the two feet 50 and 50 'does not depend on the longitudinal dimensions of the first and second folding parts 30 and 30'.

In addition, as illustrated in figure 5 , the table is able to occupy a stable position also in a second configuration of use, called configuration "console", which is obtained when both feet 50 and 50 'are both in their respective second position and when the two foldable parts 30 and 30 'of its plate 10 both adopt their respective folded configuration.

Indeed, since in this example the two feet 50 and 50 'are identical, the vertical distance between the plate 10 and the first end 52 of the first foot 50 (which is in this case that which is turned towards the ground) is identical to the vertical distance between the plate 10 and the first end of the second foot 50 '(which is in this case that which is turned towards the ground). As a result, the upper face of the plate 10 can be horizontal when the floor on which the table is placed is also.

This console configuration according to the illustrated example is advantageous because the two feet 50 and 50 'are found under the support portion 20 when they adopt their respective second position, which allows to fold down the two foldable parts 30 and 30' of the tray 10.

Therefore, by placing the table on the ground so that the first end 52 of the first leg 50 and the first end of the second leg 50 'both bear against the ground, the support portion 20 then forms the useful surface a console on which objects can be arranged and whose size is minimized in the longitudinal direction of the table.

Moreover, as illustrated in figure 6 , the table is able to occupy a stable position also in a third so-called intermediate configuration, wherein the two feet 50 and 50 'are arranged head to tail.

In other words, this intermediate configuration is obtained when one of the two feet is in its first position, while the other of the two feet is in its second position.

Therefore, the folding portion of the plate associated with one of the two feet adopts its unfolded configuration, while the other folding portion which is associated with said other of the two feet can adopt its folded configuration.

According to the illustrated example, it is the second foot 50 'which is in its first position, while the first foot 50 is in its second position. In addition, it is the second folding part 30 'which adopts its unfolded configuration, while the first folding part 30 adopts its folded configuration.

The dimensions of the first rod 80 and the first leg 50, as well as the locations of the first and second axes X1 and X2 are adapted so that the vertical distance between the plate 10 and the second end 54 of the first leg 50 in its first position is substantially equal to the vertical distance between the plate 10 and the first end 52 of the first leg 50 in its second position.

Since the second foot 50 'is in this example also a movable foot, it must have the same characteristic to allow the table to be stable in this intermediate configuration, which is the case in the example shown since the second foot 50 'and the second connecting rod 80' are respectively identical to the first foot 50 and the first connecting rod 80.

Therefore, the vertical distance between the plate and the end of the first foot 50 turned towards the ground (its first end in the example shown in FIG. figure 6 ) is substantially equal to the vertical distance between the plate and the end of the second foot 50 'turned towards the ground (its second end according to this example). As a result, the upper face of the tray can be horizontal when the floor on which the table is placed is also.

Par ailleurs, comme illustré en particulier à la figure 9, le lieu de liaison de la première bielle 80 avec le premier pied 50 ne se situe pas exactement à mi-hauteur de ce dernier (à équidistance entre sa première extrémité 52 et sa deuxième extrémité 54).Moreover, as illustrated in particular in figure 9 , the place of connection of the first rod 80 with the first foot 50 is not exactly halfway up the latter (equidistant between its first end 52 and its second end 54).

En effet, il est prévu selon cet exemple que la première bielle 80 soit reliée au premier pied 50 en un lieu de ce dernier qui est davantage proche de sa première extrémité 52 que de sa deuxième extrémité 54.Indeed, it is provided according to this example that the first rod 80 is connected to the first leg 50 at a location of the latter which is closer to its first end 52 than its second end 54.

In other words, the distance between the first end 52 of the first leg 50 and the location of the latter which materializes the second axis X2 is less than the distance between the second end 54 of the first leg 50 and this location.

It is understood that this characteristic contributes to obtaining a vertical distance between the plate 10 and the second end 54 of the first leg 50 in its first position which is substantially equal to the vertical distance between the plate 10 and the first end 52 of the first foot 50 in his second position.

According to the illustrated example, the first foot 50 is substantially parallel to the first rod 80 when the first leg 50 adopts its second position.

In other words, the first foot 50 in its second position forms an angle with the first rod 80 which is close to 0 °, for example equal to 0 ° ± 10 °.

As a result, in this example, a first plane P1 passing through the first and second ends 52 and 54 of the first leg 50 is substantially parallel to a second plane P2 passing through the first and second pivot axes X1 and X2. These two planes then form between them an angle which is close to 0 °, for example equal to 0 ° ± 10 °.

According to the illustrated example, the first foot 50 is substantially vertical when the first foot 50 adopts its second position. In this case, the first plane P1 is substantially vertical when the first foot 50 adopts its second position.

Similarly, the first rod 80 is substantially vertical when the first leg 50 adopts its second position. In this case, the second plane P2 is substantially vertical when the first foot 50 adopts its second position.

In addition, according to the illustrated example, the first rod 80 forms an oblique angle A with the vertical direction when the first leg 50 adopts its first position, for example an angle of 55 ° ± 10 °. In this case, the second plane P2 forms an oblique angle A with a vertical plane when the first foot 50 adopts its first position.

Moreover, the first foot 50 is substantially vertical when it adopts its first position. In this case, the first plane P1 is substantially vertical when the first foot 50 adopts its first position.

Therefore, the first plane P1 and the second plane P2 form an oblique angle in this example.

It follows from the features of this example that the distance between the second end 54 of the first leg 50 and the location of the latter where is made its connection with the first rod 80 (ie the location of the first foot 50 which materializes the second axis X2 ) must have a similar value, for example a relative difference of less than 20%, the inter-axis of the first rod 80 (ie the distance between the first axis X1 and the second axis X2).

A.Similarly, the distance between the first end 52 of the first leg 50 and the place of connection of the latter with the first rod 80 must have a value close to, for example a relative difference of less than 20%, of the value of the product of this dimension of the inter-axis multiplied by the cosine of the oblique angle A.

As illustrated in particular Figures 13 to 15 , the first rod 80 is substantially flat or slightly curvilinear.

The width of the first rod 80 in the lateral direction of the table, when the first rod 80 is assembled with the plate 10, varies from its first end 82, which is the place of greatest width of the first rod 80, until at its second end 84, which is the place of smaller width of the first rod 80.

However, without departing from the scope of the present invention, it would be possible to provide a first connecting rod 80 of substantially constant width in the lateral direction.

La partie la plus large de la première bielle 80 présente un évidement de matière 85 traversant toute son épaisseur de manière à optimiser la masse de cette bielle 80.The widest part of the first rod 80 has a recess 85 passing through its entire thickness so as to optimize the mass of this rod 80.

The first end 82 of the first link 80 is pivotally mounted on the plate 10 via a pivot connection whose axis is the first axis X1.

It is understood that the enlargement that the first rod 80 has on the side of its first end 82 allows a better recovery of the forces that the plate 10 transmits to it.

According to the illustrated example, this pivot connection is made by two sleeves 86 with symmetry of revolution and coaxial whose common axis is the first axis X1.

These two sleeves 86 both protrude in the lateral direction of the table and in opposite directions, respectively from the two longitudinal walls of the first connecting rod 80, in the vicinity of its first end 82.

These two sleeves 86 are able to be inserted respectively in two housings with suitable dimensions (not shown) that presents the plate 10, in particular its support part 20.

It is understood that the two longitudinal walls of the first rod 80, from which the two sleeves 86 project respectively, can advantageously act as axial stops preventing any translation of the first rod 80 relative to the plate 10 in the direction of the first axis X1.

In addition, the second end 84 of the first rod 80 is pivotally mounted on the first leg 50 via a pivot connection whose axis is the second axis X2.

According to the illustrated example, this pivot connection is made by two sleeves 88 with symmetry of revolution and coaxial whose common axis is the second axis X2.

These two sleeves 88 both protrude in the lateral direction of the table and in opposite directions, respectively from the two longitudinal walls of the first rod 80, in the vicinity of its second end 84.

These two sleeves 88 are able to be inserted respectively into two housings 62 of suitable dimensions that presents the first foot 50.

The two sleeves 88 are split radially for reasons similar to those previously mentioned.

As illustrated in figures 4 and 9 , the first leg 50 has a recess 60 in which at least a portion of the first rod 80 is housed when the first leg 50 adopts its second position.

Ce renfoncement 60 est formé dans la portion centrale 58 du premier pied 50.This recess 60 is formed in the central portion 58 of the first leg 50.

The portion of the first rod 80 of smaller width is adapted to be accommodated within this recess 60 when the first leg 50 is in its second position.

It will therefore be understood that the narrowing of the first connecting rod 80 on the side of its second end 84 allows the part of the first connecting rod 80 which is received in the recess 60 to have a small size, so that the central portion 58 of the first foot 50 may also have reduced dimensions.

Moreover, it can be observed that, thanks to this housing of a part of the first connecting rod 80 inside the recess 60 of the first leg 50, the first and second previously defined planes P1 and P2 can be substantially or substantially coplanar.

As a result, when the first leg 50 adopts its second position, the bulk of the assembly constituted by the first leg 50 and the first rod 80 can be minimized in the longitudinal direction of the table, without hindering a substantially vertical positioning of the first leg 50 and / or the first rod 80.

Le lieu de liaison de la première bielle 80 avec le premier pied 50 est situé à l'intérieur du renfoncement 60 du premier pied 50.The place of connection of the first rod 80 with the first leg 50 is located inside the recess 60 of the first leg 50.

More specifically, the two housings 62 able to accommodate respectively the two sleeves 88 are formed in the two longitudinal walls of the recess 60 which are spaced in the lateral direction.

It will be understood that this example thus represents a particular solution for implementing a connection of the first connecting rod 80 with the first leg 50 at a location of the latter between its first and second ends 52 and 54 and at a distance of these last.

As a result, the first and second ends 52 and 54 of the first leg 50 are both spaced apart from the second horizontal axis X2 which connects the first connecting rod 80 to the first leg 50, so that these two ends 52 and 54 are both capable of describe a circular path in the frame of the first rod 80 when the first leg 50 pivots about the second axis X2 of the first rod 80.

Moreover, the table can advantageously but not necessarily include one or more means of reinforcing its rigidity in a given configuration.

For example, as illustrated in particular in figures 8 , 11 and 12 , the table may advantageously comprise means for wedging the first end 52 of the first leg 50 relative to the plate 10, when the first leg 50 is in its first position.

According to this example, these wedging means comprise "horizontal" wedging means configured to wedge the first end 52 of the first leg 50 relative to the plate 10 in one or more horizontal directions; and "vertical" wedging means configured to wedge this first end 52 in the vertical direction, when the first leg 50 is in its first position.

More specifically, the horizontal wedging means comprise at least one pair of horizontal wedging members consisting of a projection 32 that includes one of the plate 10 and the first end 52 of the first leg 50, and a recess 64 which is formed in the other of said elements and which is able to cooperate with the projection 32 to wedge the first end 52 of the first foot 50 relative to the plate 10 in one or more horizontal directions, when the first foot 50 occupies its first position.

This pair of horizontal wedging members constitutes a relief allowing wedging in one or more horizontal directions of the first end 52 of the first leg 50 in its first position.

According to the illustrated example, the first foot 50 is placed under the first folding part 30 of the plate 10 when it adopts its first position.

Therefore, the projection 32 is formed on one of the first folding part 30 of the plate 10 and the first end 52 of the first leg 50, while the recess 64 is formed in the other of said elements.

According to the illustrated example, it is the plate 10 which has the projection 32 and the first end 52 of the first leg 50 which has the recess 64.

In addition, the shape of the projection 32 and that of the recess 64 are adapted so that the first end 52 of the first foot can be wedged in any horizontal direction, particularly simultaneously in the lateral and longitudinal directions of the table. .

To do this, it is chosen in this example that the projection 32 and the recess 64 both have a symmetry of revolution along a vertical axis.

The protrusion 32 consists of a positioning or centering pin, while the recess 64 consists of a hole.

According to the illustrated example, the horizontal wedging means comprise as many pairs of horizontal wedging members as the first end 52 of the first foot comprises bearing surfaces 53, so as to wedge horizontally each of these bearing surfaces 53 relative to the plate 10.

Thus, according to the illustrated example, the horizontal wedging means comprise two pairs of horizontal wedging members which are respectively associated with the two bearing surfaces 53 of the first end 52 of the first leg 50, so as to wedge horizontally each of these two bearing surfaces 53 with respect to the plate 10.

According to this example, two recesses 64 are formed respectively in the two bearing surfaces 53 of the first end 52 of the first leg 50, and are able to cooperate respectively with two projections 32 which project from the underside of the first folding part. 30 of the plate 10, when the first foot 30 is in its first position disposed under the first folding portion 30 in its unfolded configuration.

Furthermore, the vertical wedging means comprise at least one pair of vertical wedging members consisting of an elastic contact portion 34 that includes one of the plate 10 and the first end 52 of the first foot 50, and a wedging surface 66 that comprises the other of said elements and which is adapted to cooperate with the elastic contact portion 34 to wedge vertically the first end 52 of the first leg 50 relative to the plate 10 in the first position.

This pair of vertical wedging members constitutes a relief allowing a wedging in the vertical direction of the first end 52 of the first leg 50 in its first position.

According to the illustrated example, the first foot 50 is placed under the first folding part 30 of the plate 10 when it adopts its first position.

Therefore, the elastic contact portion 34 is formed on one of the first folding portion 30 of the plate 10 and the first end 52 of the first leg 50, while the wedging surface 66 is formed on the other of said elements.

According to the illustrated example, the elastic contact portion 34 is such that, from a rest position in which it cooperates with the wedging surface 66 to retain in the vertical direction the first end 52 of the first foot 50 in its first position, the contact portion 34 is adapted to be spaced by elasticity of the wedging surface 66 to release the first end 52 of the first foot 50.

According to this example, the cooperation of the elastic contact portion 34 with the wedging surface 66 is in a plane parallel to the longitudinal direction of the table.

Selon l'exemple illustré, le plateau 10 comporte la partie de contact élastique 34 et la première extrémité 52 du premier pied 50 comporte la surface de calage 66.According to the illustrated example, the plate 10 comprises the elastic contact portion 34 and the first end 52 of the first leg 50 has the wedging surface 66.

More specifically, the elastic contact portion 34 consists of an elastic tongue which protrudes under the plate 10, in particular under the first folding part 30 of the latter.

According to the illustrated example, the vertical wedging means comprise as many pairs of vertical wedging members as the first end 52 of the first foot 50 comprises bearing surfaces 53, so as to wedge each of these bearing surfaces 53 vertically relative to the plate 10.

Thus, according to the illustrated example, the vertical wedging means comprise two pairs of vertical wedging members which are respectively associated with the two bearing surfaces 53 of the first end 52 of the first leg 50, so as to wedge each of the these two bearing surfaces 53 with respect to the plate 10.

According to this example, each of the two wedging surfaces 66 is formed by a portion of the periphery of the associated bearing surface 53, this portion extending in the close vicinity of this bearing surface 53 and from the longitudinal end thereof. the last furthest in the lateral direction of the other bearing surface 53.

Furthermore, the horizontal wedging means may further comprise one or more stops 36 which protrude from the plate 10 and which are able to wedge the first end 52 of the first leg 50 in a horizontal direction, when the first leg 50 adopts its first position.

According to the illustrated example, in particular figure 12 each of the two bearing surfaces 53 defining the first end 52 of the first leg 50 is wedged in the longitudinal direction of the table by two abutments 36 which are spaced apart from one another in the longitudinal direction and between which the circumference this bearing surface 53, in the vicinity of the latter, is positioned when the first foot 50 adopts its first position.

At least one of these two abutments 36, preferably at least the one farthest from the first axis X1 in the longitudinal direction, has a ramp portion so as to further ensure a displacement guiding function of the first foot 50 arriving. or leaving his first position.

Furthermore, it has been seen that, according to the illustrated example, the plate 10, in particular its support portion 20, bears on the second end 54 of the first leg 50, when the latter adopts its second position.

According to this example, it is chosen that the plate 10 simply rests on this second end 54, when the first foot 50 is in its second position.

More specifically, the two bearing surfaces 55 of the first leg 50 which define its second end 54 simply come into contact with the support portion 20 of the plate 10, in particular with contact surfaces 28 which project from the lower face of the support portion 20 so as to adjust the height of the point of contact of the support portion 20 with the two bearing surfaces 55.

However, it could be provided without departing from the scope of the present invention, the table comprises means for wedging the second end 54 of the first leg 50 relative to the plate 10 when the first leg 50 is in its second position.

Such wedging means may advantageously be similar to those described above for wedging the first end 52 of the first leg 50 in its first position.

It is thus understood that means for wedging the second end 54 of the first leg 50 with respect to the plate 10 in its second position may advantageously comprise, by analogy, one or more of all the characteristics which have previously been described with regard to the means of horizontal wedging and the vertical wedging means of the first end 52 of the first foot 50 in its first position.

Moreover, as illustrated in figure 16 , the table comprises means for securing the first folding part 30 in its unfolded configuration.

In particular, these securing means comprise a locking device comprising a fixed member 38 with respect to one of the first folding part 30 and the support part 20, and another member 24 mounted to move on the other of said elements, so that, from a locking configuration in which the movable member 24 cooperates with the fixed member 38 to lock the first foldable portion 30 in its unfolded configuration, the movable member 24 is adapted to be moved to adopt an unlock configuration in which the movable member 24 is released.

Selon l'exemple illustré, l'organe fixe 38 est fixe par rapport à la première partie rabattable, tandis que l'organe mobile 24 est monté sur la partie de support 20.According to the illustrated example, the fixed member 38 is fixed relative to the first folding part, while the movable member 24 is mounted on the support part 20.

More specifically, the fixed member 38 is formed by a vertical flange that has the first folding portion 30 and which extends in the lateral direction of the table.

The movable member 24 consists of an elastic contact part, in particular an elastic tongue, which advantageously projects from the support part 20.

This elastic contact portion is such that, from a rest position in which the elastic contact portion cooperates with the vertical flange to lock the first folding portion 30 in its unfolded configuration, the portion of resilient contact is adapted to be spaced from the vertical flange to adopt an unlocking configuration in which the elastic contact portion is released.

In order to reinforce this securing of the first folding part 30 in its unfolded configuration, the securing means may advantageously also comprise a securing member 89 movable relative to the movable member 24, so that, starting from a security position in which the securing member 89 cooperates with the movable member 24 to secure the locking device in its locking configuration, the securing member 89 is adapted to be moved to leave the securing position and allow the release of the movable member 24.

Selon l'exemple illustré, l'organe de sécurisation 89 est solidaire de la première bielle 80.According to the illustrated example, the securing member 89 is secured to the first connecting rod 80.

The securing position of the securing member 89 is obtained when the first rod 80 adopts the particular position it occupies when the first leg 50 adopts its first position.

According to the illustrated example, the securing member 89 comes into contact with the elastic contact portion so as to prevent the latter from moving away from the vertical flange, thereby securing the resilient contact portion in its locking configuration.

Specifically, the securing member 89 consists of a portion of the periphery of the material recess 85 of the first rod 80 which is adapted to come into application against the elastic contact portion.

Moreover, as illustrated in Figures 17 and 18 , the table comprises means for securing the first folding part 30 in its folded configuration.

In particular, these means comprise a first securing element 39 that comprises one of the first folding part 30 and the first connecting rod 80, and a second securing element 90 that comprises the other of said elements and which is adapted to cooperate with the first securing member 39 to maintain the first foldable portion 30 in its folded configuration, when the first foot 50 adopts its second position.

According to the illustrated example, the first securing element 39 consists of a clipping tab (see, for example, the figures 2 and 6 ), while the second element fastening 90 consists of a clipping recess adapted to cooperate with the clipping lug.

In addition, it is chosen that the clipping lug is integral with the first folding portion 30 so as to project at a place thereof which comes into direct contact with a portion of the first rod 80, when the first leg 50 adopts its second position and the first folding part 30 adopts its folded configuration, and that the clipping recess is formed in this part of the first rod 80 so as to receive the clipping lug.

According to the illustrated example, that part of the first connecting rod in which is formed the clipping recess corresponds to the narrowest part of the first connecting rod 80, in the vicinity of its second end 84.

Although this solution provides less rigidity than that just described, it could also be provided, without departing from the scope of the present invention, the first fastening element is integral with one of the first folding part and the first foot 50, and that the second securing element is integral with the other of said elements.

Par ailleurs, comme illustré en particulier aux figures 16, 19 et 20, la table comprend un compas à deux branches 100 et 100' aptes à être écartées respectivement entre le premier pied 50 dans sa première position et le deuxième pied 50' dans sa première position pour maintenir écartés lesdits pieds 50 et 50'.Moreover, as illustrated in particular figures 16 , 19 and 20 , the table comprises a compass with two branches 100 and 100 'able to be spaced respectively between the first foot 50 in its first position and the second foot 50' in its first position to maintain spaced said feet 50 and 50 '.

According to the illustrated example, the two arms 100 and 100 'of the compass are pivotally mounted respectively on the first connecting rod 80 and the second connecting rod 80'.

Plus précisément, une première extrémité 102 de la première branche 100 est reliée à la première bielle 80 par un quatrième axe X4 parallèle au deuxième axe X2 (voir la figure 7).More specifically, a first end 102 of the first branch 100 is connected to the first link 80 by a fourth axis X4 parallel to the second axis X2 (see FIG. figure 7 ).

Bien qu'il ne soit pas exclu du cadre de la présente invention que ce quatrième axe X4 puisse être confondu avec le deuxième axe X2 de la première bielle 80, il est choisi dans cet exemple que le quatrième axe X4 soit espacé du deuxième axe X2.Although it is not excluded from the scope of the present invention that this fourth axis X4 can be confused with the second axis X2 of the first rod 80, it is chosen in this example that the fourth axis X4 is spaced from the second axis X2 .

In other words, the connection of the first branch 100 with the first link 80 is made at a place of the latter which is spaced from its place of connection with the first foot 50.

It is furthermore chosen that the distance between the fourth axis X4 and the second axis X2 is smaller than the distance between the fourth axis X4 and the first axis X1.

Comme illustré à la figure 17, la première branche 100 du compas vient en applique contre la première bielle 80 lorsque le premier pied 50 adopte sa deuxième position de manière à minimiser l'encombrement de l'ensemble constitué par la première bielle 80 et la première branche 100.As illustrated in figure 17 the first branch 100 of the compass comes to apply against the first connecting rod 80 when the first leg 50 adopts its second position so as to minimize the bulk of the assembly constituted by the first connecting rod 80 and the first leg 100.

To further optimize this space, the first link 80 has a recess 92 in which at least a portion of the first leg 100 of the compass is housed when the first leg 50 is in its second position (see FIG. figure 15 ).

According to this example, part of the first leg 100 from its first end 102 is partially accommodated within this recess 92 when the first leg 50 is in its second position.

Therefore, the place of connection of the first rod 80 with the first leg 100 is inside this recess 92.

According to the illustrated example, the second branch 100 'is identical to the first branch 100, so that the second branch 100' may advantageously comprise by analogy one or more of all the features which are described in association with the first branch 100.

Ainsi, la deuxième branche 100' est montée pivotante sur la deuxième bielle 80' du deuxième pied 50'.Thus, the second branch 100 'is pivotally mounted on the second connecting rod 80' of the second leg 50 '.

The second end 104 of the first branch 100 is connected to the second end of the second branch 100 'by a pivot connection so that these two branches 100 and 100' can pivot relative to each other to be able to be close together, when at least one foot of the first foot 50 and the second foot 50 'adopts its second position, or spaced, when these two feet 50 and 50' both adopt their respective first position.

In addition, it is expected that the compass has a hard point of maintaining its two branches 100 and 100 'in their spacing configuration between the first and second legs 50 and 50'.

According to the illustrated example, this hard point is achieved by means of a clipping lug 108 and a clipping recess 109 which are formed in the vicinity of the second end 104 of the first branch 100 and which are respectively capable to cooperate with the clipping recess and the clipping lug that includes the second branch 100 '.

Furthermore, according to the illustrated example, each of the first foot 50, the first connecting rod 80, the first folding part 30 of the plate 10, the first leg 100 of the compass, the support portion 20 of the plate, the second leg 50 ', the second connecting rod 80', the second folding part 30 'of the plate 10, and the second leg 100' of the compass is an element which is dissociated from the other elements and which is made of plastic material, in particular by a molding by injection.

This characteristic is advantageously used to optimize the masses of these elements.

Thus, the first foot 50 is made by assembling two hollow parts 50A and 50B which cut the first foot 50 in a plane passing through its first end 52 and its second end 54. As illustrated in FIGS. Figures 9 and 10 these two hollow parts 50A and 50B are assembled together by the cooperation of male elements 51a that comprises one of the two parts 50A and 50B with female elements 51b that comprises the other part, as well as by fixing screws .

In addition, as illustrated in figure 14 the first connecting rod 80 is also a hollow part, which is advantageously ribbed.

It is the same for the first branch 100 of the compass, as shown for example by figures 3 and 7 .

Moreover, according to the illustrated example, the table comprises two feet which are both movable feet.

However, it would be possible to provide, without departing from the scope of the present invention, a table comprising a whole other number of feet greater than two, for example three, four or more, provided only that the table comprises at least two feet of which at least one one of them is a movable foot in the sense of the present invention.

Each of these feet may, as desired, be stationary, mobile in the sense of the present invention, or mobile by describing a different trajectory of displacement than that of a turning by pivoting around a connecting rod, provided only that the table comprises at least one mobile foot within the meaning of the present invention.
