Definitions
- the object of the present invention is a stabiliser device for work vehicles.
- a stabiliser device normally comprises a support cross-bar, which is solidly associated with the frame of the vehicle. At both ends of the cross-bar, there are arranged two hydraulic jacks, each of which is provided with an articulated foot connected to the end of the stem. The foot faces downwards so that when the hoist member has to start operation, it is possible to activate the jack for extension with the aim of bringing the foot in contact with the ground.
- each jack is associated with one end of the support cross-bar.
- Each end of the cross-bar is provided with a connecting means predisposed to enable fastening of the jack.
- This connecting means is also suited for enabling a preliminary regulation of the vertical position of the jack, a regulation that is necessary for the purpose of adapting the stroke of the jack itself to the diameter of the wheels of the vehicle and to the height at which the support cross-bar associated with the frame of the vehicle is found.
- a first example of a connecting means between the cross-bar and the jack comprises a cylindrical sleeve, which is solidly constrained to one end of the cross-bar, and a ring predisposed to be coaxially welded to the jack.
- the jack is inserted inside the sleeve and the vertical position of the jack is sought by having the jack slide inside the sleeve.
- the ring is welded to the jack at a lower edge of the sleeve so as to block the relative position between the sleeve and the jack with respect to movements in which the sleeve descends along the jack.
- a connecting means of this type is quite laborious in terms of installation, as it requires the execution of at least one weld. Moreover, it does not allow of repositioning.
- a second example of a connecting means between the cross-bar and the jack is entirely like the preceding one, with the exception of the ring utilised, which is locked onto the jack by means of one or more screws, instead of being welded to the jack.
- the ring has an opening that interrupts the circumferential development thereof, an opening that can be locked by tightening circumferentially the ring itself, by means of one or more screws.
- a third example of a connecting means comprises a curved seating that is arranged at the end of the cross-bar, and a curved plate predisposed to be removably constrained to the curved seating in such a manner as to define a housing of substantially circular development.
- the jack is supplied with a plurality of circular impressions that are spaced therebetween by certain pitches. The positioning of the jack takes place by aligning one of the circular impressions with the seating and the plate, and tightening the plate to the seating, so as to lock the jack. Therefore, for the jack, the only positioning possible is by discrete pitches, equal to the pitch separating the circular impressions.
- the aim of the present invention is to offer a stabiliser device for work vehicles that makes it possible to overcome the drawbacks of the known types of stabiliser devices.
- One advantage of the stabiliser device according to the present invention is that it is extremely stable and safe. Another advantage of the stabiliser device according to the present invention is that it permits a precise and completely stable positioning of the jacks.
- the stabiliser device comprises a support cross-bar 2, predisposed to be constrained to the frame of a work vehicle, which is not illustrated in the figures.
- a jack 3 is arranged at one end of the cross-bar 2.
- the stabiliser device is suitable for absorbing at least part of the load acting upon one wheel of the vehicle. To stabilise a four-wheeled vehicle, it is thus necessary to have four stabiliser devices, one in proximity to each wheel.
- the jack 3 has a longitudinal axis Y and is inferiorly provided with a foot 4 that is associated with the end of the stem of the jack 3 itself.
- the foot 4 is movable by means of the jack 3 between a raised position, in which it is not resting on the ground, and a lowered position, in which it rests on the ground and absorbs at least part of the load bearing on the wheel.
- a hydraulic or pneumatic circuit is associated with the jack 3 so as to command the activation thereof for extension or shortening.
- a connecting means 5 is predisposed so as to enable regulation of the position of the jack 3 along the longitudinal axis Y and to enable blocking of the jack 3 with respect to the cross-bar 2 in the set position.
- This connecting means 5 comprises a sleeve 6 that is coaxial to the longitudinal axis Y and provided with a longitudinal opening 6a.
- the longitudinal opening 6a develops along the entire longitudinal extension and through the entire thickness of the wall of the sleeve 6, interrupting the circumferential development thereof.
- Two attachment plates 7, 8 are associated with the sleeve 6 in opposite positions in proximity to the opposite edges of the longitudinal opening 6a.
- the attachment plates 7, 8 are predisposed to be constrained to the end of the cross-bar 2 and to lock between them the end of the cross-bar 2 itself, so as to contract the sleeve 6 into contact with the jack 3.
- the attachment plates 7, 8 can assume at least one opened configuration and at least one locked configuration.
- the attachment plates 7, 8 are found at a greater distance from each other and do not lock therebetween the end of the cross-bar 2.
- the sleeve 6 is also in an opened configuration, in which it is relatively loose with respect to the jack 3, or, in other words, it is coupled to the jack 3 with some clearance.
- the jack 3 can slide with respect to the cross-bar 2 internally of the sleeve 6 along the longitudinal direction Y, so that it is possible to regulate the position thereof.
- the attachment plates 7, 8 are at a shorter distance from each other and they lock therebetween the end of the cross-bar 2.
- the sleeve 6 is also in a locked configuration, in which the sleeve is tightened on the jack 3, or, in other words, it is coupled to the jack 3 with interference.
- the jack 3 is blocked in position with respect to the cross-bar 2, in that due to the interference produced in the coupling with the sleeve 6, the jack 3 cannot slide with respect to the cross-bar 2 along the longitudinal axis Y.
- Locking means is provided so as to bring the attachment plates from the opened configuration to the locked configuration, or vice versa.
- the locking means comprises at least a first through-hole 7a, 8a, with which each attachment plate 7, 8 is provided.
- the through-holes 7a, 8a are aligned to one another and aligned to a first through-hole 21 of the cross-bar 2.
- each attachment plate 7, 8 also exhibits a second through-hole 7b, 8b.
- the through-holes 7b, 8b are aligned to one another and aligned to a second through-hole 22 of the cross-bar 2.
- a first locking element 9 is located through the first through-holes 7a, 8a, 21 of the attachment plates 7, 8 and the cross-bar 2.
- a second locking element 10 is located through the second through-holes 7b, 8b, 22 of the attachment plates 7, 8 and the cross-bar 2.
- These locking elements 9, 10 act on the attachment plates 7, 8 so as to bring the attachment plates from the open configuration to the locked configuration, or vice versa.
- the locking elements 9, 10 consist of bolts, the locking of which leads to the transition of the attachment plates 7, 8 from the opened configuration to the locked configuration.
- the sleeve 6 can be provided with a handle 11, which is useful in the case in which the cross-bar 2 can slide along the transverse direction X for the purpose of enabling a positioning of the jack 3 and of the foot 4 along this direction. By means of the handle 11, the user can activate the sliding of the cross-bar 2.
- the end of the cross-bar 2 is equipped with a protruding pin 12 that is predisposed to enable the blocking of the cross-bar 2 with respect to the sliding movement along the transverse direction X.
- the stabiliser device achieves important advantages.
- the sleeve 6 offers a wide surface for contact with the jack 3, so that, in the locked configuration of the sleeve 6 and the attachment plates 7, 8, the positioning of the jack 3 is absolutely stable and safe.
- the continuous contact surface between the sleeve 6 and the jack 3 also makes it possible to regulate the position of the jack 3 finely and accurately. Owing to the possibility of the sleeve 6 and the attachment plates 7, 8 to pass from the opened configuration to the locked configuration, or vice versa, it is possible to carry out repositioning of the jack one or more times quickly and easily, even after the stabiliser device has been mounted on the work vehicle.
