    Technisches Gebiet
  • Die Erfindung betrifft eine Antihaftbeschichtung mit wesentlich verbesserter Abriebbeständigkeit.
  • Stand der Technik
  • Organische Fluorpolymerbeschichtungen zeigen aufgrund ihrer geringen Oberflächenenergie sehr gute Antihaft-Eigenschaften und aufgrund der hohen C-F Bindungsenergien hohe Temperatur- und Chemikalienbeständigkeiten. Insbesondere als Antihaft-Beschichtungen für Küchengeräte finden solche Beschichtungen breite Anwendung. Die geringe Härte der in diesen Beschichtungen verwendeten Fluorpolymere führt jedoch dazu, dass diese Beschichtungen nicht sehr widerstandsfähig gegen Beschädigungen sind.
  • Neben der geringen Härte zeigen solche Beschichtungen, aufgrund der geringen Adhäsionskräfte der verwendeten fluorhaltigen organischen Polymere meist schlechte Haftung auf der zu beschichtenden Oberfläche.
  • In der Literatur wird deshalb vorgeschlagen, zur Verbesserung der Haftung der Antihaftbeschichtung auf der zu beschichteten Oberfläche einen mehrschichtigen Aufbau vorzugehen, wobei die Fluorpolymere mit einem oder mehreren hoch temperaturbeständigen Bindemitteln wie Pofyphenylensuffiden (PPS), Polyethersulfonen (PES), Polysulfonen, Pofyaryletherketonen (PEEK oder PEK), Polyimiden (PI) oder Polyamidimiden (PAI) gemischt werden, die eine bessere Haftung zum Untergrund vermitteln.
  • Darüber hinaus ist bekannt, dass die Haftung der auf die Basisschicht folgenden Schichten vom Gehalt an thermoplastischen Fluorpolymeren abhängt, die in der Grenzfläche zwischen Basisschicht und darauf folgender Schicht vorhanden sind. Dies beruht auf der Tatsache, dass die Haftung zwischen Basisschicht und darauf folgender Schicht dadurch erreicht wird, dass die Fluorpolymere in der Basisschicht beim Einbrennprozess mit den Fluorpolymeren der darauf folgenden Schicht verschmelzen.
  • Vorteilhaft bezüglich Haftung auf dem Untergrund wirkt sich ein Gradient an Fluorpolymeren mit möglichst wenig Fluorpolymeren in der Grenzfläche zwischen Substrat und Basisschicht und möglichst viel Fluorpolymeren in der Grenzfläche zwischen Basisschicht und der darauf folgenden Schicht aus.
  • Aus diesem Grund wurden in der Vergangenheit grosse Anstrengungen unternommen einen möglichst hohen Grad an Entmischung zwischen dem Bindemittel und dem Fluorpolymeren in der Basisschicht zu erreichen, so dass das Bindemittel der Basisschicht sich hauptsächlich an der Grenzfläche zwischen Substrat und Basisschicht befindet und das Fluorpolymer an der Grenzfläche zwischen Basisschicht und darauf folgender Schicht angereichert wird, um dort die Zwischenhaftung zwischen Basisschicht und darauf folgender Schicht zu erhöhen (siehe z.B. US 4,087,394 oder US 5,240,775 ).
  • Als geeignet haben sich hierbei Polyamidimide (PAI) herausgestellt, die deshalb auch als Haftvermittler-Schichten für fluorpolymerhaltige Antihaftbeschichtungen angesehen werden können (Figur 1).
  • Aus US 7,026,036 ist insbesondere bekannt, dass bestimmte Fluorpolymere, die CF2-CH2 Einheiten beinhalten mit Bindemitteln die Amin- oder Amidgruppen enthalten, insbesondere Polyamidimid (PAI), chemische Vernetzungsreaktionen eingehen können, die die Haftung zwischen hoch temperaturbeständigem Bindemittel und Fluorpolymeren weiter verbessern.
  • Zur Verbesserung der mechanischen Haltbarkeit von Antihaftbeschichtungen wurden, neben der bereits erwähnten Verbesserung der Haftung auf dem Substrat, harte anorganische Füllstoffe verwendet.
  • So beschreibt z.B. US 5,250,356 ein mehrschichtiges System, umfassend eine durch feinteiliges Aluminiumoxid verstärkte Haftvermittler-Schicht bestehend aus PTFE, PFA und PAI, einer Zwischenschicht bestehend aus PTFE, PFA und feinteiligem Aluminiumoxid sowie einer Deckschicht aus reinem PTFE.
  • EP 1016466 A2 beschreibt eine mehrschichtige keramisch verstärkte Antihaftbeschichtung, bei der die Basisschicht keramische Partikel enthält, die aber so gross sind, dass sie aus der Deckschicht herausragen und dadurch die abrasive Belastung von der Deckschicht fernhalten. Zu gleichem Zweck wird eine keramisch verstärkte Antihaftbeschichtung in der WO 2007/070601 A2 beschrieben.
  • US 6,761,964 beschreibt eine mehrschichtige Antihaftbeschichtung umfassend eine Basisschicht aus Fluorpolymeren, Haftvermittler-Polymeren und grossen anorganischen Füllstoffpartikeln, die in der Basisschicht verankert sind und in die darauf folgende Zwischenschicht hineinragen, welche aus Fluorpolymeren und kleineren keramischen Füllstoffpartikeln besteht, und einer Deckschicht, die ausschliesslich aus Fluorpolymeren besteht.
  • Eine weitere Möglichkeit die mechanischen Eigenschaften von Antihaftbeschichtungen zu verbessern besteht darin das haftvermittelnde, relativ spröde Polymer Polyamidimid (PAI) (Bruchdehnung ca. 8%) zumindest teilweise gegen das zähelastischere, lineare aromatische, teilkristalline Polyetheretherketon (PEEK, Figur 2) (Bruchdehnung ca. 50%) zu ersetzen.
  • Durch die Zähelastizität des Polyetheretherketon (PEEK) sind die Beschichtungen weniger spröde und eine Krafteinwirkung auf die Beschichtung führt weniger schnell zum Bruch.
  • US 6,596,380 beschreibt beispielsweise eine mehrschichtige Beschichtung die eine Basisschicht bestehend aus min. 50% PEEK, haftvermittelnden Polymeren ausgewählt aus Polyamidimid (PAI), Polyphenylensulfid (PPS), Polyetherimid (PEI) oder Polyimid (PI) und inerten anorganischen Füllstoffen enthält, gefolgt von einer Zwischenschicht bestehend aus organischen Fluorpolymeren und einer Deckschicht aus organischen Fluorpolymeren.
  • Weiter offenbart WO 00/54895 eine Antihaftbeschichtung mit verbesserter Kratzfestigkeit mit einer auf einem Substrat aufgebrachten Basischicht die ausschliesslich aus Polyetheretherketon (PEEK) besteht, die durch eine oder mehrerer Deckschichten die einen Fluorkunststoff beinhaltet abgedeckt wird. Die auf die Polyetheretherketon-Schicht folgende Schicht ist eine haftvermittelnde Polyamidimid beinhaltende Schicht.
  • Die Basisschicht wird hierbei zunächst bei mindestens 340 °C geschmolzen und wieder abgekühlt, anschliessend wird die haftvermittelnde Zwischenschicht bestehend aus Polyamidimid (PAI) und PTFE sowie die eventuell folgenden Deckschichten aufgebracht und die Gesamtanordnung bei 400 bis 420 °C eingebrannt.
  • DE 10 2005 004828 A1 beschreibt eine mehrschichtige Beschichtung deren Basisschicht ein oder mehrerer Hochleistungspolymere ausgewählt aus Polyaryletherketonen (PEEK oder PEK), Flüssigkristallpolymeren (LCP), Polyphenylensulfid (PPS) oder Mischungen davon enthält und die abschliessende Deckschicht aus einem Hochleistungsthermoplast ausgewählt aus Polyaryletherketonen (PEEK oder PEK), Flüssigkristallpolymeren (LCP), Polyphenylensulfid (PPS) und 20-30 % thermoplastische Fluorpolymeren besteht. Neben den Hochleistungsthermoplasten können in den unter der Deckschicht liegenden Schichten harte anorganische Füllstoffe enthalten sein, deren d50-Wert der Partikelgrösse maximal doppelt so gross sein dürfen, wie die Schichtdicke der fertig eingebrannten Schicht.
  • US 5,536,583 beschreibt einen Artikel, der als Basisschicht eine Polyetherharzschicht und mindestens eine Deckschicht umfasst, die aus einem Fluorpolymerharz und einem Additiv wie Polyphenylensulfid (PPS) oder anorganischen kristallinen Pulvern besteht.
  • Als Fluorpolymere wurden Tetrafluorethylen-perfluor(alkyloxyvinyl-ether)-Copolymer (PFA), Poly(vinylidenfluorid) (PVDF), Ethylen-Chlorotrifluorethylen-Copolymer (E-CTFE), Ethylen-Tetrafluorethylen-Copolymer (E-TFE), Perfluorethylenpropylen-Copolymer (FEP) und Poly(chlortrifluorethylen) (CTFE) oder Mischungen hiervon verwendet, jedoch kein Polytetrafluorethylen (PTFE).
  • PTFE besitzt unter den Fluorpolymeren den höchsten Antihaft-Effekt. Aufgrund seiner hohen Schmelzviskosität oberhalb des Kristallitschmelzbereichs lässt sich PTFE nicht einfach schmelzen sondern versintert lediglich an den Korngrenzen. Dadurch ist die Formulierung einer Deckschicht für Polyetherharz-Schichten mit PTFE-Anteilen >30% schwierig. Deckschichten mit hohen PTFE-Anteilen zeigten bislang ohne die Verwendung von Haftvermittler-Schichten keine ausreichende Haftung zur darunterliegenden Schicht.
  • Darstellung der Erfindung
  • Eine Aufgabe der vorliegenden Erfindung ist es, eine gegenüber dem Stand der Technik verbesserte Antihaftbeschichtung für einen Gegenstand vorzuschlagen. Die Aufgabe der Erfindung wird durch die Antihaftbeschichtung nach Anspruch 1 gelöst. Diese Antihaftbeschichtung weist zumindest drei Schichten auf, mit einer Deckschicht mit einer Trockenfilmdicke von 10 bis 50 µm, vorzugsweise von 20 und 30 µm, einer Zwischenschicht mit einer Trockenfilmdicke von 10 bis 100 µm, vorzugsweise von 20 und 30 µm, und einer Basisschicht mit einer Trockenfilmdicke von 10 bis 50 µm, vorzugsweise von 20 und 30 µm. Die Deckschicht enthält 40% bis 90% organische Fluorpolymere, wobei 20% bis 50%, bezogen auf die Deckschicht, Polytetrafluorethylen (PTFE) und 20% bis 70%, bezogen auf die Deckschicht, Copolymeren des Tetrafluorethylens mit Perfluoralkyl-vinylether mit 1-3 C-Atomen in der Alkylgruppe, nämlich MFA oder PFA, oder Copolymeren des Tetrafluorethylens mit Hexafluorpropylen (FEP) oder Mischungen davon sind. Weiterhin enthält die Deckschicht 10% bis 60% Poly(oxy-1,4,phenylencabonyl-1,4-phenylen) (PEK).
  • Die Zwischenschicht enthält 20-30% organische thermoplastische Fluorpolymere ausgewählt aus Copolymeren des Tetrafluorethylens mit Perfluoralkyl-vinylether mit 1-3 C-Atomen in der Alkylgruppe, nämlich MFA oder PFA, Copolymeren des Tetrafluorethylens mit Hexafluorpropylen (FEP) oder Mischungen davon, und Poly(oxy-1,4-phenylencabonyl-1,4-phenylen) (PEK), sowie anorganische Füllstoffe. Die Füllstoffe umfassen Partikel mit einer Grösse von 40 µm bis 100 µm, vorzugsweise von 45 µm bis 70 µm. Die Partikelgrösse ist dabei so ausgewählt, dass zumindest einige der Partikel teilweise in die Deckschicht hineinragen, diese Deckschicht aber nicht durchdringen. Dabei haben die Massnahmen der Erfindung Copolymeren des Tetrafluorethylens mit Perluoralkyl-vinylether mit 1-3 C-Atomen in der Alkylgruppe (MFA oder PFA), Copolymeren des Tetrafluorethylens mit Hexafluorpropylen (FEP) oder Mischungen davon) in der Deckschicht möglich sind und dadurch ein verbesserter Antihaft-Effekt, ohne die Haftung zur darunterliegenden Schicht zu verlieren oder eine zusätzliche haftvermittelnde Schicht aus Polyamidimid (PAI) oder Polyphenylensulfid (PPS) zu benötigen. Dies wird dadurch erreicht, dass die in die Zwischenschicht eingebetteten anorganischen Füllstoffpartikeln so gross sind, dass sie in die Deckschicht hineinragen und somit die Haftung zur Deckschicht vermitteln können.
  • Vorteilhafte Ausgestaltungen der erfindungsgemässen Antihaftschicht sind in den abhängigen Ansprüchen 2 bis 5 angegeben.
  • Vorteilhaft ist eine Basisschicht, die mehr als 98% Poly(oxy-1,4-phenylencahonyl-1,4-phenylen) (PEK) aufweist.
  • Vorteilhaft ist es weiterhin, wenn die anorganischen Füllstoffe keramische Hartstoffe aus der Reihe der Oxide, Carbide, Nitride, Boride, insbesondere Siliziumcarbid und/oder Aluminiumoxid, umfassen.
  • Besonders vorteilhaft ist es, wenn die Partikel der anorganischen Füllstoffe der Zwischenschicht zumindest teilweise in die Basisschicht eingedrungen sind. Dies zu ermöglichen, ist ein besonderer Vorteil der Erfindung.
  • Die vorbenannten sowie die beanspruchten und in den nachfolgenden Ausführungsbeispielen beschriebenen, erfindungsgemäss zu verwendenden Elemente unterliegen in ihrer Grösse, Formgestaltung, Materialverwendung und ihrer technischen Konzeption keinen besonderen Ausnahmebedingungen, so dass die in dem jeweiligen Anwendungsgebiet bekannten Auswahlkriterien uneingeschränkt Anwendung finden können.
  • Kurze Beschreibung der Figuren
  • Ausführungsbeispiele der Erfindung werden nachfolgend anhand von Zeichnungen näher beschrieben, dabei zeigen:

    Wege zur Ausführung der Erfindung
  • Gemäss einem bevorzugten Ausführungsbeispiel, wie es in Figur 4 dargestellt ist, weist eine Antihaftbeschichtung, insbesondere für ein Kochgeschirr drei Schichten auf, nämlich eine Deckschicht 6 mit einer Trockenfilmdicke von ca. 20 und 30 µm, eine Zwischenschicht 4 mit einer Trockenfilmdicke von ca. 20 und 30 µm, und eine Basisschicht 2 mit einer Trockenfilmdicke ca. 20 und 30 µm. Die Deckschicht 6 enthält in diesem Ausführungsbeispiel ca. 55% organische Fluorpolymere. Davon sind ca. 35%, bezogen auf die Deckschicht (6), polytetrafluorethylen (PTFE) und ca. 20%, bezogen auf die Deckschicht, ein Copolymer des Tetrafluorethylens mit sind ca. 35wt%, bezogen auf die Deckschicht (6), Polytetrafluorethylen (PTFE) und ca. 20wt%, bezogen auf die Deckschicht, ein Copolymer des Tetrafluorethylens mit Perfluoralkyl-vinylether mit 1-3 C-Atomen in der Alkylgruppe, nämlich PFA. Weiterhin enthält die Deckschicht 6 ca. 35wt% Poly(oxy-1,4-phenylencabonyl-1,4-phenylen) (PEK).
  • Die Zwischenschicht 4 enthält ca. 30% ein Copolymer des Tetrafluorethylens mit Perfluoralkyl-vinylether mit 1-3 C-Atomen in der Alkylgruppe, nämlich PFA und ca. 70% Poly(oxy-1,4-phenylencabonyl-1,4-phenylen) (PEK), sowie anorganische Füllstoffe 8. Die Füllstoffe weisen in diesem Ausführungsbeispiel Partikel mit einer Grösse von bis zu 70 µm auf. Dabei ist die Partikelgrösse so ausgewählt ist, dass zumindest einige der Partikel teilweise in die Deckschicht 6 hineinragen, diese Deckschicht 6 aber nicht durchdringen.
  • Die Basisschicht 2 dieses bevorzugten Ausführungsbeispiels weist mehr als 98% Poly(oxy-1,4-phenylencabonyl-1,4-phenylen) (PEK) auf.
  • Die verwendeten anorganischen Füllstoffpartikel bestehen hauptsächlich aus Siliziumcarbid und Aluminiumoxid.
  • Es hat sich gezeigt, dass gerade diese Antihaftbeschichtung, die anorganische Füllstoffe in der Zwischenschicht in der angegebenen Grösse enthalten, eine besonders gute Haftung der Deckschicht auf der darunter liegenden Schicht ermöglicht, wobei der Gehalt an Polytetrafluorethylen (PTFE) höher als 30% ist und keine weiteren haftvermittelnden Schichten aufgebracht werden müssen.
  • Weiterhin hat sich gezeigt, dass sich für die Verwendung als Antihaftbeschichtung für Brat- und Kochgeschirr Polyetherketon (PEK; Poly(oxy-1,4-phenylencabonyl-1,4-phenylen); Figur 3) besonders gut eignet, besser als Polyetheretherketon (PEEK; Poly(oxy-1,4-phenylenoxy-1,4-phenylencarbonyl-1,4-phenylen; Figur 2). PEK besitzt nämlich verglichen mit Polyetheretherketon (PEEK; Poly(oxy-1,4-phenylenoxy-1,4-phenylencarbonyl-1,4-phenylen) eine höhere Glastemperatur und einen höheren Schmelzpunkt, bei vergleichbarer Zähelastizität.
  • Das bevorzugte Verfahren zum Aufbringen der Antihaftbeschichtung ist so ausgestaltet, dass die Schichten durch eine nass in nass Applikation, nämlich ohne Zwischentrocknung, aus wässrigen Dispersionen und anschliessendem Trocknen und Aufschmelzen aufgebracht werden. Durch dieses verfahren ist es möglich, dass die anorganischen Füllstoffe 8 sogar in die Basisschicht eindringen können und so die angegebenen Partikelgrössen erreicht werden können, ohne dass die Partikel aus der Deckschicht herausragen.

Claims (5)

  1. Antihaftbeschichtung für einen Gegenstand, wobei die Antihaftbeschichtung zumindest drei Schichten aufweist, mit
    - einer Deckschicht (6) mit einer Trockenfilmdicke von 10 bis 50 µm, vorzugsweise von 20 und 30 µm,
    - einer Zwischenschicht (4) mit einer Trockenfilmdicke von 10 bis 100 µm, vorzugsweise von 20 und 30 µm, und
    - einer Basisschicht (2) mit einer Trockenfilmdicke von 10 bis 50 µm, vorzugsweise von 20 und 30 µm, wobei die Deckschicht, (6) 40% bis 90% organische Fluorpolymere enthält, wobei 20% bis 50%, bezogen auf die Deckschicht (6), Polytetrafluorethylen (PTFE) und 20% bis 70%, bezogen auf die Deckschicht, Copolymeren des Tetrafluorethylens mit Perfluoralkyl-vinylether mit 1-3 C-Atomen in der Alkylgruppe, nämlich MFA oder PFA, oder Copolymeren des
    Tetrafluorethylens mit Hexafluorpropylen (FEP) oder Mischungen davon sind,
    und die Deckschicht (6) 10% bis 60% Poly(oxy-1,4-phenylencabonyl-1,4-phenylen) (PEK) enthält,
    wobei die Zwischenschicht (4) 20-30% organische thermoplastische Fluorpolymere ausgewählt aus Copolymeren des Tetrafluorethylens mit Perfluoralkyl-vinylether mit 1-3 C-Atomen in der Alkylgruppe, nämlich MFA oder PFA, Copolymeren des Tetrafluorethylens mit Hexafluorpropylen (FEP) oder Mischungen davon, und Poly(oxy-1,4-phenylencabonyl-1,4-phenylen) (PEK), sowie anorganische Füllstoffe (8) enthält, wobei die Füllstoffe (8) - Partikel mit einer Grösse von 40 µm bis 100 µm, vorzugsweise von 45 µm bis 70 µm umfassen, und wobei die Partikelgrösse so ausgewählt ist, dass zumindest einige der Partikel teilweise in die Deckschicht (6) hineinragen,
    diese Deckschicht (6) aber nicht durchdringen.
  2. Antihaftbeschichtung nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Basisschicht (2) mehr als 98% Poly(oxy-1,4-phenylencabonyl-1,4-phenylen) (PEK) aufweist.
  3. Antihaftbeschichtung nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die anorganischen Füllstoffe (8) keramische Hartstoffe aus der Reihe der Oxide, Carbide, Nitride, Boride aufweisen.
  4. Antihaftbeschichtung nach Anspruch 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die anorganischen Füllstoffe (8) Siliziumcarbid und/oder Aluminiumoxid aufweisen.
  5. Antihaftbeschichtung nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 4, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass Partikel der anorganischen Füllstoffe (8) der Zwischenschicht teilweise in die Basisschicht eingedrungen sind.
