Definitions

  • the present invention relates to the field of packaging pouches and related manufacturing methods.
  • the invention relates to the strings of packaging bags, used for the manufacture of individual bags ready to fill.
  • the rosaries generally have a suspension strip consisting of a rod or a flange of material.
  • strings of bags are generally stored folded on top of each other so as to form a stack of bags, the fold being in particular performed at the separation between two consecutive bags.
  • the present invention therefore aims to improve the state of the art by providing a string of bags that can be guided in a conventional semi-automatic filling machine while being easily stored, especially in the form of a stack.
  • the invention also relates to a method for producing such a string of sachets, the method being characterized in that it comprises a step of making continuity breaks on suspension strips of a string of bags.
  • a string 1 of sachets 2 There is shown by the arrow F a longitudinal direction of the string.
  • the pouches 2 which constitute it extend transversely to this longitudinal direction F and have an orientation generally perpendicular to this longitudinal direction.
  • the bags 2 preferably made of plastic, consist of two walls 20 and 21 extending facing one another.
  • the walls 20, 21 of the bag can be the subject of many embodiments. It is preferably walls of thermoplastic materials.
  • These walls 20 and 21 may be single or multilayer and mono or multi materials. Typically, they can be made from a plastic film, or in sheets of complex material such as a paper support coated with a layer of thermoplastic material or a metallized thermoplastic layer.
  • These two walls 20 and 21 can be obtained from a single film returned along a lower edge 23 and welded along its two parallel transverse edges 29. These transverse edges 29 extend perpendicularly to the direction Longitudinal F of Rosary 1 of sachets 2 ..
  • these two walls may consist of two separate sheets, that is to say two separate entities, assembled on three of their sides.
  • the bags are delimited by two longitudinal edges parallel to the longitudinal direction F of the string 1 of sachets 2, one said "upper” 22 and the other "lower” 23, as well as by the transverse edges 29.
  • the bags may furthermore have a closure means (not shown in the figure) such as, for example, complementary closure profiles, optionally provided with sliders, velvet-hook strips, or adhesive strips.
  • This closure means may consist of elements distinct from the walls 20 and 21, reported thereon by example by welding, or integrally with them, for example extruded with the walls.
  • This closure means is preferably located near the lower edge 23 of the bag, or where appropriate the upper edge 22 of the bag.
  • the closure means may comprise an opening indicator, such as a tamper-proof veil.
  • the bags may also include suspension eyelets.
  • the bags 2 are individualized in pairs, at least partially, and held together by respective connecting zones 31 (a connecting zone 31 between two adjacent bags 2) extending between their transverse edges 29, at their upper edges 22. They are therefore at least partially separated by a space 30 extending between their lower edge 23 and the connecting zone 31.
  • Said separation is implemented so as to cut the material of the walls 20 and 21 and to join their free edges facing by a weld.
  • the upper edges 22 of the bags "frame” a filling mouth E and are integral with two longitudinal strips 4 and 4 ', called “suspension", which preferably extend over the entire length of the string 1. These strips are intended to facilitate the suspension of the string of bags to gripping means and displacement in the direction of the arrow F.
  • one and the same pair of strips 4 and 4 ' is used for all the bags 2 of the string 1.
  • These strips may for example be attached to the upper edge 22 of the corresponding wall 20 or 21 of the bag and have each of the beads for gripping by appropriate guide means of a filling machine.
  • Each bead 4b can be made by folding on itself a strip of material located on the upper edge 22 of one of the walls 20 or 21 of the bag. As illustrated on the figure 2a , the beads can then be made at the filling mouth E of the bag, on the outside of the walls.
  • the beads 4b can be made on the inside of the bag.
  • the strips 4 and 4 ' here in the form of webs, are attached or fixed by any appropriate means, respectively to the walls 20 and 21 of the bag and are surmounted by a bead 4b of material, for example coextruded on the webs 4a strips 4 and 4 '.
  • the bands are on the inside of each wall. Alternatively, they may be on the outer face of each of the walls.
  • the beads 4b can be made of material, for example by extrusion, directly on the corresponding walls of the bag.
  • they may be located at the filling mouth E of the bag, on the upper edge 22 of one of the walls 20 or 21 of the bag, or slightly set back from it. They can also be made on the inside or outside of the bag.
  • the suspension strips 4 and 4 ' have breaks in continuity 5 (see FIG. Figures 3a to 3e ) at all or part of the connection areas 31 between two bags 2.
  • the string has several continuity breaks 5 arranged periodically along the length of the suspension strips 4 and 4 ', the period then being a multiple of the step sachets.
  • continuity breaks 5 may be carried out at the pitch of the bags (that is to say between each pair of bags 2, at each connection zone 31), every two bags, etc.
  • the continuity breaks 5 are zones of weakness in the suspension strips 4 and 4 'which facilitate the folding of the string at the connection zone 31 between two consecutive bags, despite the presence of the extra thicknesses formed by the bead 4b suspension strips 4, 4 '.
  • These continuity breaks 5 may be arranged on the outer face and / or the inner face of the beads of the suspension strips 4, 4 ', according to the manner in which they are made. For example, and with reference to the figure 4 they can be made asymmetrically, the breaks of a first band being oriented towards the inside of the bag 2 whereas the breaks of the other band 4 'are oriented towards the outside of the bag 2. As a variant, they can be arranged opposite to the two suspension strips 4, 4 '(towards the inside of the bag 2), or both directed towards the outside of the bag 2.
  • the continuity breaks 5 may extend over all or part of the height (in the direction transverse to the direction of travel F) of the suspension strips 4 and 4 '.
  • a break in continuity may extend about 50 to 95% of the height of a suspension band 4, 4 ', leaving an intact border at the base and / or at the top of the suspension strips 4 and 4 ', as illustrated respectively in the figures 3d and 3d , so as not to hinder the holding and scrolling of the string 1 of bags 2 by the guide means of a filling machine.
  • a cut can be made, without removal of material, in the suspension strips 4 and 4 ', as illustrated in FIG. figure 3b .
  • the suspension strips 4 and 4 ' may also have a local thinning produced either during the extrusion of the strips 4 and 4', or by removal of material ( figure 3c ).
  • the width of the continuity break 5 depends on the rigidity of the suspension strips 4 and 4', and is preferably less than about 3 mm, so that to keep the suspension strips their ability to hold and scroll the string of bags in the guide means of a filling machine.
  • this zone 5 of rupture of continuity is less rigid than the rest of the bands 4 and 4 ', thus facilitating the folding and stacking of the rosary, without hindering the movement and gripping of the strips 4 and 4 'by the guide means of the conventional filling machines.
  • a string 1 of sachets 2 is produced.
  • Suspension strips 4, 4 ' are also produced for the strand 1 of sachets 2.
  • the suspension straps 4, 4' can either be made of material, for example by coextrusion on the walls of the bag 2, or can be attached to them. this.
  • Continuity breaks 5 are also performed on the suspension strips 4, 4 'according to the description above, preferably on all or part of the height of the beads of the suspension strips 4, 4'.
  • the breaks in continuity can be made immediately after the formation of the strips and the walls of the bag, or following the formation of the string.
  • Breaks of continuity 5 of type notch are made for example by means of one or more blades, adapted (s) to notch the suspension strips 4 and 4 'over all or part of their height transversely to the running direction of the strips.
  • one and the same blade may simultaneously cut the two strips 4 and 4 'on the same side, one of the strips being then offset in height relative to the other to allow the cuts to be made on both sides.
  • bands 4, 4 'at the same time figure 4 ).
  • two facing blades can notch the outer faces of the two suspension strips 4 and 4 '.
  • Breaks of continuity 5 of the notch type ( figure 3a ) can be carried out hot with removal of material, for example using a die-shaped punch of suitable shape (rectangular, circular, etc.).
