Definitions
- the invention relates to a clamping contact for electrical connection of conductors according to the preamble of claim 1.
- terminal contacts are well known and have found enormous use in electrical connection technology. For example, they are used for tool-free wiring of lamp sockets.
- a socket body has a plurality of openings for the insertion of connecting cables. Behind these openings, a contact field is arranged.
- a spring leg is biased with its free end on the contact pad and is - including an angle between itself and the contact field - oriented in the conductor insertion direction.
- This type of terminal contact has proven itself in the connection technology and is widely used because it is very well suited for the tool-free connection of electrical conductors.
- special applications especially in lighting technology, where the use of such terminal contacts sometimes causes difficulties.
- These include, for example, lamp holders for Halogen low-voltage lamps, in which high currents are to be transferred from the connection conductor to the socket contact.
- it requires a significantly against the contact field biased spring leg to ensure the necessary contact forces.
- the insertion of the conductor between the spring leg and contact pad for the electrical connection therefore requires appropriate forces.
- the connecting conductors are designed as solid wire. Flexible fine-stranded conductors are regularly stiffened by wire end sleeves or tin plating. Otherwise, there is a risk that the conductor itself kinks due to the high insertion forces and secure contact does not come about.
- the electrical conductors are held, inter alia, by means of so-called cage tension springs on the associated contact field.
- a cage tension spring is for example in DE 102007047327 A1 disclosed.
- the conductor can be introduced into the nip of the contact virtually without force.
- the stripped conductor end passes without contact through an opening in a tension spring until it encounters a tension lever.
- the insertion movement leads to a release of tensioning lever and tension spring.
- the tension spring snaps into its closed position with the cage urging the ladder against the contact patch.
- the spring with a suitable tool such as a screwdriver, open again.
- the cage tension according to DE 102007047327 A1 only permits a resistance-free insertion of the conductor during initial assembly. Following initial assembly - or re-connection in case of service - it is necessary to open the cage tension spring with a tool.
- Cage tension springs are usually able to ensure the required contact forces between the conductor and contact pad.
- the disadvantage is the conditional by the cage clamp, compared to the generic state of the art larger space.
- Another disadvantage is that in a closed cage tension spring a conductor can only be introduced after the cage clamp was moved with a separate tool in the open position.
- a cage tension spring is known whose free spring leg end carries the contact field.
- the free spring end is reshaped towards the spring leg and is there in the open state on retaining webs of a Portereintechnologyö réelle.
- About a base of the Portereintechnologyö réelle-containing part of the spring leg is connected to a release lever.
- the inserted conductor urges the trigger lever in the insertion direction and pulls the base as well as the spring leg area with Portereintechnology Anlagen réelle with it.
- the retaining webs are pulled away under the free end of the spring leg, whereby the contact pad is urged against the conductor.
- the object of the invention is to provide a novel, clamping contact, which holds the conductor with the force required for the transmission of high currents on the contact field and allows tool-free installation of the connection lines even when the contact is closed.
- the invention is achieved by a clamping contact with the features of claim 1, in particular with the characterizing features, according to which the spring leg (20) between its base (24) and its free end (21) has a material weakening zone (23), which allows a displacement of the at the base (24) arranged release lever (25) in the insertion direction x of the conductor (18).
- the main advantage of the terminal contact according to the invention is first of all to be seen in that a space-saving and compact design has been preserved.
- the spring leg secured by the release lever in an open position permits quasi-force-free insertion of the electrical conductor into the clamping point. Only to release the operative connection between the trigger and spring legs a certain amount of force is required.
- the spring leg itself can be optimized in its bias without taking into account the mounting requirements solely on a sufficient pressure force. In contrast to the generic state of the art, care must be taken that the pressure force of the spring leg during initial assembly still allows insertion of the connecting conductor in the nip. This is particularly advantageous in view of the manual prefabrication of sockets with connection lines in mass production.
- a Klemmcript designed in this way can be produced in a particularly simple and efficient manner, for example by punching and subsequent erection.
- the conductor holding the free end of the spring leg is cut in a V-shape.
- the main advantage is the fact that a two-point system between the spring leg and conductor and thus a good transmission of the contact pressure is ensured. In addition, prevents the head so catching free end sideways slipping of the conductor.
- the main advantage of this embodiment is the fact that it does not need to be stored separately with respect to the trigger lever movable parts, but the spring leg is only solvable by a slight displacement of its base.
- the contact pad has guide members which hold and center the electrical conductor on a path of travel in the direction of the trip lever, thereby preventing lateral slippage of the conductor from the contact pad.
- a socket housing is shown in partial view, which is a partial sectional view.
- the socket housing in its entirety is provided with the reference numeral 10.
- the socket housing 10 includes a lamp head facing the socket 11, which receives various socket components in addition to the not shown here for the lamp in its interior.
- the arranged in a recess 12 of the socket head 11 and provided in its entirety by the reference numeral 13 terminal contact is shown.
- the recess 12 is accessible from the underside of the socket head ago, so that the terminal contact 13 can be inserted into the socket head 11. After assembly of the socket head 11, this is closed on the underside by a socket bottom 14.
- the terminal contact 13 initially comprises a contact pad 15 with guide members 16 for the stripped end 17 of the connecting conductor 18, which is reinforced, especially in flexible conductors optionally by a ferrule 19.
- the terminal contact 13 comprises a spring leg 20, the free end 21 of the holder and contacting the terminal conductor 18 on the contact pad 15 is used.
- a V-shaped notch 22 at the free end 21 of the spring leg 20 ensures a two-point contact of the spring leg 20 on the conductor 18th
- the spring leg 20 of the terminal 13 passes through a material weakening zone 23 in a base 24 on which a release lever 25 is arranged.
- the contact pad 15 is connected to spring leg 20, so that the designated in its entirety by 13 clamping contact forms an integral cohesive component and can be erected, for example, from a stamped product.
- the contact pad 15 may be a separate component with better electrical conductance or with a finished surface which is mechanically connected to the spring leg 20.
- Fig. 2 The representation in Fig. 2 is essentially the same as in Fig. 1 ,
- the electrical conductor 18 has been inserted into the socket housing 10 through a plug-in channel 27 formed by the socket bottom 14.
- the stripped end 17 with its wire end sleeve 19 is in the effective range of the clamping contact 13 on the contact pad 15th arranged.
- the guide members 16 support the insertion movement of the conductor 18 and help to move it centered on the release lever 25 back.
- the conductor 18 can be virtually force-free in the contact pad 15 and spring leg 20 formed clamping point, since the spring leg 20, in particular its free end 21, held by retaining pin 28 of the trigger lever 25 in an open position.
- the free end 21 rests on the holding pin 28 (here two) of the release lever 25. In this position, the free end 21 of the spring leg 20 is disposed outside the path of movement of the conductor 18.
- the spring leg 20 is mounted against the spring restoring force on the retaining pin 28 of the release lever 25.
- Fig. 3 was the insertion movement of the conductor 18 in the direction of the arrow x with respect to the representation in Fig. 2 continued. As a result, meets the end face 29 of the stripped conductor end 17 against the release lever 25. With continued movement x and the release lever 25 and with this movement unit, the base 24 is displaced in the insertion direction x. This leads to a relative displacement of the retaining pin 28 relative to the free end 21 of the spring leg 20. As a result, slip the retaining pin 28 of the trigger lever 25 under the free end 21 of the spring leg 20 away and give it free.
- the release lever 25 is sufficient to release the free end 21 of the spring leg 20.
- the guide members 16 support and stabilize the insertion movement x.
- the release stroke of the release lever 25 requires only a small insertion force.
- the inventive clamping contact 13 thus has the considerable advantage that a connection conductor 18 can be inserted force-free into the clamping point, provided that the spring leg 20 is in the open position.
- the clamping contact 13 enables a simple and screwless connection of the electrical conductor.
- FIG. 5 another significant advantage of the clamping contact 13 of the invention is disclosed.
- the clamping contact 13 is shown in the closed position, without a conductor 18 between spring leg 20 and contact pad 15 is arranged.
- Fig. 5 takes the spring leg so far in the insertion direction x oriented and an angle with the contact field 15 enclosing position of a terminal contact according to the preamble of the main claim.
- heterogeneous Käfigzugfedern it is possible in the clamping contact 13 according to the invention, however, also in the closed position to insert a conductor 18 without additional tool for opening the clamping contact 13 in the nip. For this purpose, only the spring restoring force of the spring leg 20 must be overcome.

Description
The invention relates to a clamping contact for electrical connection of conductors according to the preamble of claim 1.
From the non-assignable prior art, such terminal contacts are well known and have found enormous use in electrical connection technology. For example, they are used for tool-free wiring of lamp sockets.
Usually, a socket body has a plurality of openings for the insertion of connecting cables. Behind these openings, a contact field is arranged. A spring leg is biased with its free end on the contact pad and is - including an angle between itself and the contact field - oriented in the conductor insertion direction. Now, if a conductor is inserted with its stripped end into the connection opening of the socket body for wiring the socket, it slides under the spring leg and deflects this spring return elastic. As a result, after completion of the insertion process, the stripped end of the connecting lead between the contact field and spring leg is clamped. The orientation of the spring leg in the insertion direction and obliquely tapered to the contact field has the significant advantage of a simple, tool-free installation, a secure contact and a retraction protection.
This type of terminal contact has proven itself in the connection technology and is widely used because it is very well suited for the tool-free connection of electrical conductors. However, there are special applications, especially in lighting technology, where the use of such terminal contacts sometimes causes difficulties. These include, for example, lamp holders for Halogen low-voltage lamps, in which high currents are to be transferred from the connection conductor to the socket contact. For this purpose, it requires a significantly against the contact field biased spring leg to ensure the necessary contact forces. The insertion of the conductor between the spring leg and contact pad for the electrical connection therefore requires appropriate forces. To apply these, the connecting conductors are designed as solid wire. Flexible fine-stranded conductors are regularly stiffened by wire end sleeves or tin plating. Otherwise, there is a risk that the conductor itself kinks due to the high insertion forces and secure contact does not come about.
Cage tension springs are usually able to ensure the required contact forces between the conductor and contact pad. The disadvantage, however, is the conditional by the cage clamp, compared to the generic state of the art larger space. Another disadvantage is that in a closed cage tension spring a conductor can only be introduced after the cage clamp was moved with a separate tool in the open position.

The object of the invention is to provide a novel, clamping contact, which holds the conductor with the force required for the transmission of high currents on the contact field and allows tool-free installation of the connection lines even when the contact is closed.
The invention is achieved by a clamping contact with the features of claim 1, in particular with the characterizing features, according to which the spring leg (20) between its base (24) and its free end (21) has a material weakening zone (23), which allows a displacement of the at the base (24) arranged release lever (25) in the insertion direction x of the conductor (18).
The main advantage of the terminal contact according to the invention is first of all to be seen in that a space-saving and compact design has been preserved. In addition, the spring leg secured by the release lever in an open position permits quasi-force-free insertion of the electrical conductor into the clamping point. Only to release the operative connection between the trigger and spring legs a certain amount of force is required. The spring leg itself can be optimized in its bias without taking into account the mounting requirements solely on a sufficient pressure force. In contrast to the generic state of the art, care must be taken that the pressure force of the spring leg during initial assembly still allows insertion of the connecting conductor in the nip. This is particularly advantageous in view of the manual prefabrication of sockets with connection lines in mass production.
Nevertheless, it is possible to continue to push a sufficiently rigid conductor even when the nip is closed under the spring leg as it may be necessary, for example, in the case of a line change or repair of the socket. In that regard, a tool-free connection electrical conductors is also possible with closed terminal contact, the increased force required for example repair work is easy to handle.
Particularly preferred is an embodiment which is characterized in that the contact field, the spring leg and the release lever material material are materially connected to each other.
A Klemmkontakt designed in this way can be produced in a particularly simple and efficient manner, for example by punching and subsequent erection.
Furthermore, it is provided that the conductor holding the free end of the spring leg is cut in a V-shape. The main advantage is the fact that a two-point system between the spring leg and conductor and thus a good transmission of the contact pressure is ensured. In addition, prevents the head so catching free end sideways slipping of the conductor.
It is particularly advantageous that the displacement of the release lever at least the necessary release stroke of the release lever for sliding the free spring leg end of the retaining pin corresponds.
The main advantage of this embodiment is the fact that it does not need to be stored separately with respect to the trigger lever movable parts, but the spring leg is only solvable by a slight displacement of its base.
Finally, it is envisaged that the contact pad has guide members which hold and center the electrical conductor on a path of travel in the direction of the trip lever, thereby preventing lateral slippage of the conductor from the contact pad.
The design of the contact field in the aforementioned form ensures that the conductor is fed directly to the release lever.

The
The
The

It should be noted here that even a small displacement - a small release stroke - the
Due to the low Lösehub and the low effort to perform the same is a wire end ferrule on the stripped end of the

The
Only a small amount of force is required in order to carry out the release stroke of the
At initial installation of the force required to set the
As a result, the clamping
