Definitions
- the invention relates to a vacuum holding device, with a vacuum reservoir and at least one at least one suction line connected thereto suction gripper, wherein in the course of the suction line, a control valve is turned on, optionally in the at least one suction pad connected to the vacuum storage working position or the at least a ventilation gripper separating a suction gripper from the vacuum accumulator and simultaneously effecting ventilation of the gripper-side suction line section extending between the control valve device and the suction gripper, further comprising an electrically operable vacuum generating device connected to the vacuum generator and for evacuation thereof, and having a vacuum generator device operating in operation , optionally on or off electrical control device.
- a similarly structured, designed as a lifting device vacuum holding device is from the DE-B-1 186 597 known. It has a plurality of suction pads, for example, formed by suction plates, which are connected via a suction line to a vacuum storage, which can be evacuated by a vacuum generating device consisting of a vacuum pump and an electrically driven drive motor. With the help of a manually operated control valve device, the
- the suction pad can optionally be subjected to negative pressure or vented. In this way, it is possible to suck a plate-shaped object for purposes of handling temporarily to the suction pads and hold. By displacing the vacuum holding device, the retained object can in particular be raised and repositioned.
- the electrical control of the vacuum generator device includes the DE-B 1 186 597 no special hints.
- an electrical control device which controls the operation of the vacuum generator.
- Such an electrical control device usually has a main switch or is formed by such, with the help of which they can be switched off - during operation of the vacuum holding device - or - during breaks - off.
- an actuation of the control valve device is still possible, so that even with an inactive vacuum generator device, the basic possibility exists to grasp an object through the suction grippers as long as a sufficiently high vacuum is made available by the vacuum accumulator.
- a vacuum lifting device which is equipped with a plurality of suction pads, which are connected with the interposition of a valve to two vacuum accumulators, which are evacuated by means of an electrically driven vacuum pump.
- the two resulting vacuum circuits are monitored by vacuum switches.
- a warning device integrated into the electrical circuit is capable of indicating malfunctions acoustically and / or optically.
- the object of the invention is to take measures to minimize the risk potential of a vacuum holding device operated when the electrical control device is switched off.
- the vacuum holding device is equipped with warning means which include a connected to the gripper side Saug effetsab mustard the suction line vacuum detector which is coupled to the electrical control device such that when the electrical control device is turned off, a warning signal is caused when in the gripper side Saug effetsabrough a above a predetermined vacuum limit lying vacuum is present.
- the vacuum generating device When switched off electrical control device, which may be a simple electromechanical switching device, for example, or may also be equipped with electronic control means, the vacuum generating device is inactive, so that any vacuum degradation occurring in the vacuum reservoir is not compensated.
- a vacuum present in the vacuum reservoir in particular shortly after switching off the electrical control device, may still be sufficient to supply one to the at least one to hold a suction gripper applied object when the control valve device is switched to the working position.
- warning means are now provided which monitor the vacuum prevailing in the gripper-side suction line section of the suction line at least when the electrical control device is switched off, whereby a logical signal is generated by logically linking to the operating state of the electrical control device that a warning signal is generated when the control device is switched off - that is, for example a main switch or motor protection switch is turned off - in the gripper-side Saug effetsab songs a vacuum is applied, which would in principle still be suitable for sucking a fixed to the at least one suction pad and hold object.
- the response of the warning system can be influenced by the level of the predetermined vacuum limit, which should be chosen for safety reasons, the lowest possible threshold. It has proven particularly expedient to set the vacuum limit value to 5% -20%, in particular to approximately 10% of the maximum producible vacuum. However, these values are not intended to be limiting in the sense of the invention.
- the warning signal By generating the warning signal, it is possible, in particular, to alert the operator to an unauthorized use of the vacuum holding device, so that the further use can be set immediately as a reaction, or the vacuum holding device can be put into the regular operating state by switching on the electrical control device can.
- an audible and / or an optical signal offers itself as a warning signal.
- the signal output is expediently carried out directly in the region of the vacuum holding device, which is expediently equipped with suitable signal output means.
- a tactile perceptible warning signal can be output, for example by generating a vibration of a handle that can be detected for manipulating the vacuum holding device.
- a vacuum detector is connected to the gripper-side Saug effetsabrough the suction line, which is so coupled to the electrical control device that when the electrical control device is turned off, a warning signal is generated when in the gripper-side Saug effetsabrough a lying above the predetermined vacuum limit vacuum is present.
- the vacuum detector used for monitoring the vacuum prevailing in the gripper-side suction line section is expediently part of a low-cost vacuum switch which, in addition to the vacuum detector, also has an electromechanical switching device.
- This electromechanical switching device can be switched on in an electrical warning circuit, which is also coupled to the electrical control device. If a vacuum present in the gripper-side suction line section is above the predetermined vacuum limit, the electromechanical switching device of the vacuum switch may contribute to closing the electrical warning circuit.
- the electrical warning circuit is closed in particular for generating a warning signal when, on the one hand, the electrical control device, in particular due to the corresponding switching position of a main switch of the same, is turned off and at the same time the vacuum limit is exceeded in the gripper side Saug effetsabites.
- an electrical warning circuit located in this warning circuit advantageously two series-connected electromechanical switching devices, one of which is actuated by the vacuum detector and the other by the electrical control device.
- a warning signal is generated when both switching devices occupy a closed circuit closing the warning circuit.
- the functional position of the associated electrical control device Switching device may depend in particular on the position of a preferably existing main switch this electrical control device.
- the warning signal generated by the warning system according to the invention is expediently at least initially an electrical signal.
- This electrical signal can be processed in a suitable manner, in particular in order to produce an acoustic and / or an optical and / or a tactile perceptible warning signal directly on site with the aid of a signal converter belonging to the vacuum holding device and output the same by suitable signal output means.
- the electrical signal can also be routed additionally or alternatively to a location remote from the vacuum holding device, for example to a control station within a production facility. There, for example, a monitoring personnel can be alerted.
- the vacuum holding device should have an electrical buffer memory, which ensures the power supply even when the electrical control device is turned off.
- an electrical buffer memory consists for example of a rechargeable accumulator device which is fed and charged in the regular operating phase of the vacuum holding device of the then activated external electrical power supply.
- Such an electrical buffer memory can simultaneously supply the emergency electrical supply for the generation of a warning signal which is output in the event of a power failure occurring when the electrical control device is switched on. So you can do different things generate associated warning signals with the assistance of one and the same electrical buffer memory.
- the height of the vacuum in the vacuum accumulator is expediently constantly monitored.
- a preferably formed as part of a vacuum switch vacuum detector is connected to the vacuum accumulator. This is expediently coupled to the electrical control device in such a way that a warning signal can be generated if, when the electrical control device is switched on, the vacuum in the vacuum accumulator drops below a predetermined vacuum limit value.
- One and the same vacuum detector connected to the vacuum accumulator may be designed to generate both a warning signal indicating a too low vacuum in the vacuum accumulator and the operating signal relevant for the energy-saving mode.
- the warning signal is generated when energy saving mode exists only when the vacuum falls below the vacuum threshold relevant for the energy saving mode.
- a multi-stage vacuum detector can be used or you use two separate vacuum detectors.
- a current pressure in the prevailing pressure or vacuum indicating and conveniently formed by a manometer pressure indicator is connected to the suction line expediently.
- the pressure indicator is connected to the gripper side Saug effetsabites.
- the control valve device is in particular of manually operable type.
- it consists of a pure manual valve, in particular a manually operated 3/2-way valve.
- the vacuum holding device according to the invention is in particular designed as a vacuum lifting device which can be used to lift an object gripped by the at least one suction gripper.
- the vacuum holding device expediently has a base frame, which carries all other components and can take over if necessary also functional tasks, such as the formation of the vacuum accumulator.
- Fixing means are expediently arranged on the base frame, which enable the attachment of a suitable hoist, for example a crane, so that the vacuum holding device, with or without the object held by it, can be moved and positioned as required.
- FIG. 1 shows a schematic representation of a trained as a vacuum lifting vacuum holding device with a particularly advantageous structure.

- the vacuum holding device 1 has a base frame 4 indicated as a dotted frame which carries the existing suction grippers 2 and which is equipped with fixing means 5 which are indicated only schematically, at which it can be grasped for purposes of any displacement of the vacuum holding device 1.
- the fixing means 5 are in particular designed to hang the base frame 4 on a hoist, for example on a crane or on a pulley.
- the suction pads 2 are formed, for example, as suction plates or as a suction cup and limit one to a in FIG. 1 downwardly oriented working side towards open suction 6.
- the opening of the suction chamber 6 may be referred to as a suction port 7.
- the vacuum holding device 1 can be equipped with only a single suction pad 2 or, as in the embodiment, a plurality of Suction cups 2 feature.
- FIG. 1 shows the vacuum holding device 1 in the attached from above to an object 3 state of all suction pads.
- the vacuum holding device 1 is equipped with a vacuum accumulator 8.
- a vacuum accumulator 8 This can be formed by at least one attached to the base frame 4 storage body. It is also possible to form the vacuum accumulator 8 as part of the base frame 4 by, for example, a tubular support member of the base frame 4 on the one hand carries the suction pads 2 and on the other hand defines the vacuum accumulator 8 with its interior.
- the Suction line 12 may be realized in any desired manner, for example by a pipe, a hose and / or a running in the base frame 4 channel.
- an electrically operable vacuum generator device 14 is connected to the vacuum accumulator 8, in particular with the interposition of a check valve 13 closing towards the vacuum accumulator 8. With their help, the vacuum accumulator 8 can be evacuated to generate a vacuum.
- the vacuum generator device 14 has a motor-driven vacuum pump 15 connected to the vacuum accumulator 8 and an electrically actuatable drive motor 16 coupled to the vacuum pump 15.
- a control valve device 17 is turned on.
- the control valve device 17 of the embodiment may also be referred to as a hand-slide valve.
- the control valve device 17 divides the suction line 12 into two suction line sections, one of which leads to the vacuum accumulator 8 and the other to the at least one suction gripper 2.
- the section leading to the vacuum accumulator 8 is referred to as the accumulator-side suction line section 12a, which leads to the at least one suction gripper 2 leading section as a gripper-side suction line section 12b.
- the control valve device 17 has expediently the functonality of a 3/2-way valve. Your two possible positions are one off FIG. 1 apparent ventilation position and an alternative to possible working position. The switching is effected by grasping the manual operating element 18 purely manually. Expediently, the control valve device 17 is associated with locking means 22 which releasably lock the control valve device 17 for safety reasons, at least in the ventilation position, so that an active, manual unlocking operation is required before switching to the working position is possible.
- the storage-side Saug Arthursabsacrificing 12a In the ventilation position, the storage-side Saug Arthursabsacrificing 12a is closed gas-tight, while the gripper-side Saug effetsabsacrificing 12b is connected to the atmosphere R or alternatively an unillustrated pressure source, so that prevails in the gripper-side Saug effetsabêt 12b to the suction chambers 6 atmospheric pressure or atmospheric pressure.
- control valve device 17 establishes a continuous fluid connection between the gripper-side suction line section 12b and the storage-side suction line section 12a, so that all suction grippers 2 are acted upon by the vacuum prevailing in the vacuum accumulator 8 through the suction line 12.
- a pressure indicator for monitoring the pressure conditions in the suction line 12 is expediently a pressure indicator to the suction line 12 23 connected. It is preferably a manometer.
- the pressure indicator device 23 is preferably connected to the gripper-side suction line section 12b, so that it is possible to monitor at any time by the operator of the vacuum holding device 1 whether the desired negative pressure has built up in the gripper-side suction line section 12b when the control valve device 17 is in working position.
- the suction grippers 2 are recognized with their suction opening 7 ahead of the object 3 and is switched after this preparation, the hitherto in the ventilation position control valve device 17 in the working position. Due to the existing in the vacuum accumulator 8 vacuum and due to a sufficiently large storage volume thus forms a vacuum in the entire Saugstrang, ie both in the suction line 12 and in the suction chambers 6, which is large enough to hold the object 3 and be able to lift and transport by appropriate handling of the vacuum holding device 1.
- the vacuum holding device 1 is also equipped with a suitably fixed to the base frame 4 electrical control device 24, at least for controlling the Operation of the vacuum generator 14 is formed.
- the electrical control device 24 is connected via at least one electrical control line 25 to the electrically operable part of the vacuum generator device 14, in the embodiment, ie at the drive motor 16.
- the electrical control device 24 has an electrical interface 26 for connecting an external electrical power supply (not shown further).
- the latter is, in particular, the power network available at the point of use of the vacuum holding device 1.
- the electrical control device 24 is expediently equipped with a main switch 27, by the operation of which it can be set either in a switched on or in an off state.
- a main switch 27 by the operation of which it can be set either in a switched on or in an off state.
- the switch position in the on state (I) and dashed lines the switch position in the off state (0) is indicated with a thick line.
- the vacuum generating device 14 is operable when the electrical control device 24 is switched on and is not operable when the electrical control device 24 is switched off.
- the electrical control device 24 may be configured such that the electrically actuatable vacuum generator device 14 is continuously in operation when the electrical control device 24 is switched on and only when it is switched off electrical control device 24 is inactive.
- the electrical control device 24 is expediently formed only by a main switch 27 or by a motor protection switch.
- the electrical control device 24 can also be designed to realize an energy-saving operation, so that it selectively switches the vacuum generator device 16 on and off depending on the vacuum currently prevailing in the vacuum reservoir 8.
- the electrical control device 24 is expediently equipped with an electronic control unit 28, which has the required intelligence. It is especially equipped with at least one microprocessor.
- the electronic control unit 28 may also be present if no energy-saving operation is to be implemented.
- a vacuum detector 32 which monitors the vacuum therein and which is referred to below as a first vacuum detector 32 for better distinction. It is connected via an electrical signal line 33 to the electrical control device 24 and in particular to the electronic control unit 28 preferably contained therein. If the vacuum present in the vacuum accumulator 8 falls to a lower limit value when the electrical control device 24 is switched on, a signal output means 35 is triggered via at least one electrical control line 34 in such a way that it emits a warning signal of whatever kind.
- the first vacuum detector 32 may be part of a correspondingly set vacuum switch, which upon reaching the lower limit closes a switch contact and thereby causes the output of the mentioned warning signal.
- the first vacuum detector 32 and / or additional vacuum detector 32 which is also connected to the vacuum accumulator 8, may be used to selectively turn the vacuum generator 14 on and off in response thereto whether the present in the vacuum accumulator 8 vacuum reaches a lower or upper switching value.
- the vacuum generator 14 is thus only temporarily active, so that energy is saved. Both switching values are above the lower limit value responsible for the output of a warning signal.
- the vacuum holding device 1 is equipped with an advantageous warning system, which is able to detect a non-permissible use of the suction gripping system when the electrical control device 24 is switched off and optionally output a warning signal.
- the warning system implemented in the vacuum holding device 1 accommodates such a dangerous situation by providing the vacuum holding device 1 with warning means which generate a warning signal when a vacuum is present in the gripper-side suction line section 12b when the electric control device 24 is switched off above a predetermined vacuum limit.
- the predefined vacuum limit value is chosen in particular such that overlying vacuum values are generally sufficient to be able to hold an object 3 resting on the suction grippers 2. Below such a vacuum limit, there is no need for monitoring, because even when switched to the working position control valve 17 no sufficiently high vacuum is applied to the suction pads 2 in order to raise an object 3 can.
- a warning signal is generated, this is an indication that the electric control device 24 is off and the vacuum holding device 1 is not in the regular operating state.
- the vacuum holding device 1 expediently contains a vacuum detector connected to the gripper-side suction line section 12b of the suction line 12, referred to below as a second vacuum detector 36 for better distinction, which is coupled to the electrical control device 24 in such a way that the described warning activity is ensured .
- a further warning means integrated into the vacuum holding device 1 warning system expediently receives an electrical warning circuit 37 which is closed to generate a warning signal when detected by the second vacuum detector 36 is above the predetermined vacuum limit vacuum in the gripper side Saug effetsab songs detected by the second vacuum detector 36 becomes.
- the warning circuit 37 expediently includes a switched off with electrical control device 24 and decoupled external electrical power supply the necessary electrical energy providing electrical buffer memory 38, a signal output means 35 associated with these and in particular in a unit signal converter 42 and two arranged in series first and second electromechanical Switching devices 43, 44.
- Each of the two electromechanical switching devices 43, 44 can be positioned either in an open position interrupting the warning circuit 37 and a closed position enabling a signal passage or current passage in principle. In FIG. 1 the two electromechanical switching devices 43, 44 are each shown taking their open position.
- the second electromechanical switching device 44 is so coupled to the electrical control device 24 and / or integrated in selbige that it occupies the open position and switched off with electrical control device 24, the closed position when the electrical control device 24.
- the operation can be picked up, for example, directly mechanically or with the interposition of a relay of the switching position of the main switch 27.
- Corresponding pickup means are indicated at 47.
- the first electromechanical switching device 43 is in the open position as long as the vacuum detected by the second vacuum detector 36 in the gripper-side suction line section 12b does not exceed the preset vacuum limit value. This is always the case, inter alia, when the gripper-side suction line section 12b is ventilated. Above this vacuum limit, the first electromechanical switching device 43 is in the closed position.
- the second vacuum detector 36 may include a movable membrane element which is acted upon on the one hand by the atmospheric pressure and on the other hand by the pressure applied in the gripper side Saug effetsabêt 12b pressure or vacuum and is moved or positioned depending on the upcoming pressure difference and in particular mechanically with the first electromechanical switching device 43 cooperates.
- the necessary electrical energy may in this case provide the electrical buffer 38.
- the same is realized in particular in the form of a rechargeable accumulator device, which is always charged when the electrical control device 24 is switched on.
- the aforementioned electric buffer memory 38 also ensures the necessary power supply for the warning circuit 37.
- the first electrical switching device 43 is actuated independently of whether the electrical control device 24 is switched on or off. However, closing the first electromechanical switching device 43 with respect to the generation of a warning signal remains without consequences as long as the warning circuit 37 is interrupted due to the opened second electromechanical switching device 44.
- the generated warning signal is originally an electrical signal. Only by the associated signal converter 42 is this electrical warning signal converted into an acoustic and / or an optical and / or a tactile perceptible warning signal and output by the signal output means 35.
- a signal output means 35 with a particular integrated signal converter 42 for example, a signal horn, a light display device or a vibration device would be conceivable. However, this list is not to be regarded as conclusive.
- the second vacuum detector 36 associated with the warning system can also be used to advantage continuous operation of the vacuum generating device 14 during that period during which in the regular operating phase of the vacuum holding device 1 in the gripper side Suction line section 12b is present above the predetermined vacuum limit vacuum, in other words, therefore, an object 3 is sucked by the suction pads 2 and is held.
- the electric control device 24 is turned on.
- the detection signal generated by the second vacuum detector 36 thus causes a temporary suspension of the selective operation of the vacuum generating device 14, which is to be understood as a safety aspect, because thus always worked during a gripping or holding operation with befindlichem vacuum generating device 14.
- FIG. 1 are two of the warning circuit 37 outgoing electrical control lines 46 shown that the electronic control unit 28, the signals of the second vacuum detector 36 forward to allow the just described operation.
- a vacuum limit which represents the threshold for the activation or deactivation of the warning system
- a value is suitably chosen in which the suction pads 2 despite being in working position control valve means 17 are no longer able to hold an object 3. Due to empirical measurements, a vacuum value in the amount of 5% to 20%, expediently approximately 10%, of the height of the vacuum which can be generated maximally by the vacuum generator device 14 in the vacuum reservoir 18 is recommended as the vacuum limit value. The lower the vacuum limit is set, the greater the achievable safety. However, the predetermined vacuum limit should be sufficiently below the atmospheric pressure so that the warning system does not respond even when the gripper-side suction line section 12b is vented.
