Die Kabeltrommel umfasst einen als Aluminium-Schweißkonstruktion ausgebildeten quaderförmigen Rahmen 1, der aus vier senkrechten Streben 2 und acht waagerechten Streben 3 besteht und käfigartig einen Trommelkörper 4 mit an den beiden Enden angebrachten Seitenscheiben 5 aufnimmt. Der Rahmen 1 ist so dimensioniert, dass die Kabeltrommel durch die Streben 2, 3 nach außen begrenzt ist und der Trommelkörper 4 einschließlich aller zugehörigen Bauteile und des aufgewickelten Übertragungskabels nicht über den Rahmen 1 hinaus ragt. In der in der Zeichnung dargestellten Ausführungsform sind an den unteren Enden der senkrechten Streben 3 in einem verschwenkbaren und mit einer Feststellbremse 6 ausgerüsteten Rollenhalter 7 gelagerte Laufrollen 8 angebracht, so dass die Kabeltrommel auf einfache Art transportiert werden kann und im Übertragungswagen sicher arretiert werden kann. Die Rollenhalter 7 mit den Laufrollen 8 können auch weggelassen sein, um zwei·oder mehrere Kabeltrommeln bzw. Rahmen 1 in einem Übertragungswagen übereinander stapeln zu können oder übereinander gestapelte Kabeltrommeln außerhalb des Übertragungswagens auf der mit Laufrollen 8 ausgestatteten unteren Kabeltrommel transportieren zu können. Bei nicht mit Laufrollen 8 versehenen Rahmen 1 können an dessen unteren waagerechten Streben 3 kleine Füßchen angebracht sein, die bei gestapelten Kabeltrommeln in den zwischen den oberen waagerechten Streben befindlichen Raum eingreifen und beim Transport ein Verrutschen der übereinander gestapelten Kabeltrommeln verhindern. Die platzsparende Stapelfähigkeit der Kabeltrommeln ist dadurch gewährleistet, dass die Höhe H und die Tiefe T des Rahmens 1 ein bestimmtes einheitliches Rastermaß, hier beispielsweise 500 mal 500 mm, aufweist und nur die Breite B des Rahmens 1 unterschiedlich sein kann. Die Breite B des Rahmens 1 ist auf die Länge des Trommelkörpers 4 abgestimmt, die sich wiederum nach der Länge und Dicke des auf den Trommelkörper 4 aufgewickelten Übertragungskabels 9 richtet, und zwar derart, dass der Trommelkörper 4 immer bis nahe an die Kante der Seitenscheiben 5 mit dem Kabelmaterial bewickelt und der Raum zwischen den Seitenscheiben im Wesentlichen ausgefüllt ist. Der Außendurchmesser des Trommelkörpers 4 ist so groß gewählt, dass das Kabel durch den Wickelvorgang nicht beschädigt wird. Durch die variable Breite der Kabeltrommel entsprechend den Kabelmaßen wird die Kapazität der Kabeltrommel vollständig ausgenutzt und der im Übertragungswagen zur Verfügung stehende Stauraum optimal genutzt. Das einstückige Backenbremselement 18 weist an dem der Befestigungsseite gegenüberliegenden Abschnitt einen Spannschlitz 19 auf, dessen Weite zur Einstellung der Bremswirkung mittels einer das Backenbremselement 18 im Bereich des Spannschlitzes 19 durchgreifenden Spannschraube 20 eingestellt werden kann. Der empfindliche und teure, gegebenenfalls noch durch eine Schutztülle 25 geschützte Stecker 24 befindet sich im Innern des Trommelkörpers 4 und ist dort in einer an der Innenwand des Trommelkörpers 4 angebrachten, mittels eines Stellrades 29 einstellbaren Klemmvorrichtung 26 gehalten und kann in dieser mechanisch und gegenüber Witterungseinflüssen geschützten Position über ein Patchkabel (nicht dargestellt) mit einem Steckfeld verbunden werden. Claims (12)
- A cable drum for mobile television production units for transporting as well as winding and unwinding transmission cables (9) comprising respectively a drum body (4) mounted in a rotatable manner on a stackable frame (1) and having side plates (5), wherein the frame (1) surrounds the drum body (4) in a cage-like protecting manner and limits the cable drum on all sides outwardly and has an uniform grid dimension in regard to its height (H) and depth (T) as well as a variable width (B) adjusted to the respective cable dimensioning for complete exploitation of the cable receiving capacity of the drum body (4), characterized by bearing rollers (12) attached within the outer frame limitation for the rotatable mounting of the drum body (4) on one side of the frame (1), on which the peripheral edge of one side plate (5') is supported, and a bearing pin (14) cantilevered from the opposite side plate (5") and gripping through a bearing formed in a bearing strut (15) attached at the frame (1), wherein the drum body (4) is formed as a hollow cylinder and is open at the front side in the region of the side plate (5') supported by the bearing rollers (12), and a clamping device (26) is mounted within the drum body (4) for an outwardly protected and fixed positioning of a plug (24) connected to the communication cable, and at least one recess (23) for insertion of the plug into the drum body (4) and for weight reduction is formed in the side plate (5').
- The cable drum according to claim 1, characterized by a portion of the drum body (4) protruding beyond the outer surface of the side plate (5') and having retaining tabs (22) mounted at the open end thereof for retaining an end portion of the communication cable (9) at the outer surface of the drum body (4).
- The cable drum according to claim 2, characterized in that a drum twist grip (28) being pivotable from a position running approximately parallel to the side wall (5') to a horizontal engaged actuation position is attached on a retaining tab (22) or directly on the side plate (5').
- The cable drum according to claim 1, characterized by a shoe brake element (18) retained at the bearing strut (15), acting as a dispenser brake (17) for the drum body (4), formed in one piece and formed with a clamping slit (19) and comprising an exposed portion of the bearing pin (14) and being tightenable by means of a clamping bolt (20) on the bearing pin (14) for adjusting the braking action when unwinding a communication cable (9).
- The cable drum according to claim 4, characterized in that the shoe brake element (18) is hold on the bearing strut (15) in a loose and therefore floating manner.
- The cable drum according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the frame (1) is formed by horizontal and perpendicular struts (2, 3) welded together and stiffening plates (10) arranged partly in the corner regions, wherein the horizontal struts (3) are formed circularly for enhancing the bearing comfort.
- The cable drum according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that bearing rollers (12) are hold on bearing studs (11) strutted from the stiffening plates (10) and brush rollers (13) are arranged between the rollers (12) and the stiffening plates (10).
- The cable drum according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that a fixing brake consisting of a threaded bolt connected to a rotary knob (16) and placeable to the neighboring side plate (5") is attached to the bearing strut (15).
- The cable drum according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the bottom cable drums in staples consisting of two ore more cable drums have on the bottom of the frame (1) attached rollers (8) with associated fixing brake (6).
