Der Erfindung liegt daher das Problem zugrunde, die Montage einer Dichtung in einer mehrteiligen Wandung eines Spülbehälters zu vereinfachen.
Die Erfindung löst dieses Problem durch eine Geschirrspülmaschine mit den Merkmalen des Anspruchs 1. Weitere Vorteile und Merkmale sowie Weiterbildungen der Erfindung sind in den Ansprüchen 2 bis 8 angegeben.
Mit der Erfindung ist eine Geschirrspülmaschine, insbesondere Haushaltsgeschirrspülmaschine, geschaffen, deren Montage vereinfacht ist, wobei gleichzeitig eine sehr zuverlässige, sichere Abdichtung zwischen den Baueinheiten des Spülbehälters erreicht ist.
Dadurch, dass die zwischen Bodeneinheit und Haubeneinheit lang erstreckte Dichtung lediglich an der Haubeneinheit fest gehalten ist und nicht mehr eine Befestigung sowohl an der Bodeneinheit wie auch an der Haubeneinheit erforderlich ist, muss nicht mehr bei der Endmontage des Spülbehälters die Dichtung positioniert, verdrehgesichert und befestigt werden. Die Dichtung kann bereits an der Haubeneinheit vormontiert sein. Ein Verdrillen eines Dichtungsstrangs ist ausgeschlossen. Zudem ist die Endmontage erheblich beschleunigt, da die Dichtungsmontage entfällt.
Die erfindungsgemäße Montage sieht eine rein mechanische, also eine klemmende Halterung der Dichtung vor, etwa durch ein formschlüssiges Einfassen, um dadurch die Dichtung lagestabil und unverlierbar zu sichern.
Dadurch, dass der untere Randbereich der Haubeneinheit zu einer Ausbildung eines die Dichtung aufnehmenden Kanals von der unteren Kante der Haubeneinheit U-förmig aufwärts geformt ist, ist eine mechanische Halterung der Dichtung einfach ermöglicht. Auch kann die Lagerhaltung vereinfacht sein, da jetzt die jeweilige Haube und die daran vorab angebrachte Dichtung vorzugsweise eine einzige Baueinheit bilden. Insbesondere greift die Dichtung nach einer zweckmäßigen ersten Weiterbildung der Erfindung von ihrer mechanischen Halterung in Richtung der Bodeneinheit derart aus, dass die Dichtung mit ihrem ausgreifenden Bereich kraftschlüssig gegen die Bodeneinheit gepresst wird. Eine zusätzliche Befestigung der Dichtung an der Haubeneinheit kann verschiedenartig erfolgen, beispielsweise auch durch ein Kleben oder Schweißen.
Dabei ist günstig nach einer weiteren vorteilhaften Weiterbildung der Erfindung der Randbereich zu einer Ausbildung des die Dichtung aufnehmenden Kanals von der unteren Kante der Haubeneinheit nach außen umgeformt, so dass die darin gehaltene Dichtung mit einem Teilbereich nach quer außen greift und damit automatisch mit diesem Teilbereich in eine kraftschlüssige Anlage zu einem aufragenden Flanschbereich der Bodeneinheit kommen kann.
Der genannte Kanal kann nach Einbringen der Dichtung in diesen zweckmäßigerweise mit einer Einwärtskraftkomponente beaufschlagt werden, so dass er seine lichte Weite verringert und dadurch die zuvor eingebrachte Dichtung zuverlässig klemmend hält.

Claims (8)

  1. Dishwasher (1), especially a household dishwasher, with a washing compartment (2) for items inserted therein which is water-conducting at least during operation, wherein the washing container (2) has at least a single-part or multipart floor unit (7) as well as a single-part or multipart hood unit (8) connected to the floor unit (7) in the assembled position, wherein the hood unit (8) forms a U-shaped portal with side walls (9, 10) and upper walling (11) formed from a first metal plate and is preferably welded to a rear wall (12) inserted between the side walls (9, 10) to form a complete hood unit (8), wherein a lower edge area (20) of the hood unit (18) is bent upwards in a U-shape from the lower edge (22) of the hood unit (8) and wherein floor unit (7) and hood unit (8) are sealed against each other by means of an elongated seal (18),
    characterised in that
