Definitions
- the invention relates to a separator according to the preamble of claim 1.
- Generic separators are from the DE 195 08 334 A1 and the DD 288 322 A5 known.
- Another such construction is from the DE-AS 1 141 951 known.
- This document shows a separator with a centrifugal drum into which a separating plate package is inserted, the separating plate package being divided into two separating plate package sections below and above this separating plate by a separating plate which has a larger diameter than the other separating plates.
- a product to be processed is fed through a feed in the drum shaft and enters the separation chamber via a distributor. There it in turn enters a riser channel of the separator plate package, which extends over the entire height of the separator plate package.
- the centrifugal material entering the separation chamber is freed from the main part of the sludge in the space below the separation plate, which forms a sludge cushion on the circumference of the separation chamber.
- the heavy liquid is prevented by the sludge pad from stepping around the outer edge of the larger diameter separating plate.
- the remaining light liquid is separated off and collected in the upper separator plate section.
- the separated heavy liquid is discharged from the separation chamber through a channel with a larger diameter and the separated light liquid through another channel with a smaller diameter of the centrifugal drum.
- the position of the separation plate with a larger diameter can be varied depending on the application in the separation chamber. According to a preferred embodiment, it is approximately at the height of piston slide openings for discharging solid matter from the centrifugal drum.
- the invention has the task of optimizing the separating and clarifying action in a simple manner compared to the generic centrifuge.
- each of these sections can be optimally designed with regard to the respective task, for example with regard to the separating gap width or the separating plate and tab geometry.
- the lower separating plate package section is designed as the separating device and the upper separating plate packet section as the clarifying device, in order first to separate the lighter liquid phase from the centrifuged material to be processed and to then separate the remaining solids in the separating plate packet section, which acts exclusively as a clarifying device.
- the separating plate stack is sealed radially inwards in this area, which can be implemented in a variety of ways.
- a separating plate package 2 made up of a plurality of separating plates 3 is arranged concentrically to the axis of rotation D.
- the separating plates 3 have a conical shape, are stacked axially one above the other and are spaced apart by means of spacers (tabs and the like), not shown here.
- the separating plate package 2 is held directly or via a holder on a distributor shaft 4 of a distributor 5 which can be rotated during operation and is secured against rotation relative to the latter.
- the separator plate package 2 has a lower separator plate section 6 made of stacked lower separator plates 3a and an upper separator plate section 7 made of upper separator plates 3b, the lower separator plate section 6 and the upper separator plate section 7 being provided with a separating plate 3c which has a larger diameter than the other separating plates 3a , 3b and here also a greater thickness or wall thickness are separated from one another in the axial direction.
- the lower separator plate section 6 is designed as a separating device for separating two liquid phases L1, L2 and the upper separating plate section 7 as a clarifying device for clarifying one of the liquid phases L2 from solids S.
- the centrifuged material to be clarified - in particular milk - is fed into the rotating system through a central inlet pipe 8 which does not rotate during operation in the region of the distributor 5.
- the distributor 5 has distributor channels 9 which open below the corresponding riser channels 10 in the lower separating plate package section 6 into the separating space.
- the rising channels 10 lie on a first, inner radius R1.
- the two liquid phases L1, L2 of different specific weights are separated from one another (in the case of milk, cream L1 and skim milk L2).
- the liquid phase L2 with the higher specific weight - in the case of milk, the skimmed milk - on the other hand, is passed through one or more riser channels 14, which advantageously pass through the lower separator plate section 6, the separator plate 3c of larger diameter and the upper separator plate section 7.
- the one or more riser channels 14 in the upper separator plate section 7 lie on a larger radius R2 than the one or more riser channels 10 in the lower separator plate section 6.
- the clarified skimmed milk L1 is passed through one or more discharge channels 15 passing through the upper separating plate package section 7 into a second peeling chamber (not shown here) and from there with a second peeling disc (not shown here) from the rotating system.
- solids are discharged discontinuously through solids discharge openings 18, which are preceded by a piston valve 19.
- a further solid phase S can be discharged via a separating plate (not shown here) arranged vertically above the separating plate compact 2 through a third peeling chamber (not shown here) with a third peeling disc.
- An arrangement can also be used to control the piston slide 19 when no more liquid L2 is drained off through the third peeling disc then present.
- the upper separating plate package section 7 has the special feature that the individual separating plates 3b of this separating plate package are sealed axially relative to one another in an area lying radially inward to the one or more discharge channels for the liquid phase L2 (as the clarified skimmed milk, if applicable), so that none Liquid can flow from the upper separating plate packet section 7 into the discharge channel 11 or pipes lying radially inside to the sealed area and thus into the first peeling chamber.
- the 2a to 2d each show by way of example three separating plates 3b, each consisting of an inner separating plate section 30 which is oriented perpendicular to the axis of rotation D and an outer - conical - separating plate section 31 which encloses an angle ⁇ with the axis of rotation D.
- the separating plates 3b of the upper separating plate packet section 7 are sealed relative to one another in their radially inner separating plate section 30 by means of seals, in particular sealing rings 23 ( 2a to 2c ).
- the seals can be in the form of flat seals 23a with a preferably rectangular cross section ( Fig. 2a ) be designed or as seals with a different, preferably round or elliptical cross-section ( 2b, 2c ).
- the seals 23 are arranged in the plate gaps 25 between vertically adjacent separating plates 3b of the upper separating plate package section 7. They are preferably designed as circumferential sealing rings. However, it is also conceivable to arrange only ring segments as seals, for example, in the area between spacer plates of axially adjacent separating plates.
- a particularly good sealing effect is achieved in that the seals 23 are introduced in correspondingly shaped receiving grooves 24 which are formed in the separating plates. To Fig. 2b align these receiving grooves 24 in the vertical direction. To Fig. 2c on the other hand, provision is made for the receiving grooves (ring grooves) 24 to be radially offset from one another in vertically superimposed separating plates 3b, so that the seals in vertically successive separating plate gaps 25 between adjacent separating plates 3b each lie on different radii.
- the sealing radially inwards is not achieved by separate seals, but rather in that the vertical adjacent separating plates are in each case directly adjacent to each other in sections, for example in a conical steep area 32 in which the conicity angle ⁇ is significantly smaller than the conicity angle ⁇ to the axis of rotation D. , so that the adjacent separating plates 3b touch each other directly in this area.
- the separating gaps 25 between vertically adjacent separator plates 3a preferably have a smaller distance than in the upper separator plate section 7.

Description
US 2 487 364 und dieGB 206 723 US 50 52 996 A und dieUS 993 791 A genannt.
- Fig. 2a-d
Fig. 2a bis 2c ).
Fig. 2b fluchten diese Aufnahmenuten 24 in vertikaler Richtung.
