L'invention concerne un dispositif de mesure de couple 10 pour arrêt de sonnerie d'un mécanisme de sonnerie. Ce mécanisme de sonnerie comporte, de façon classique, au moins une source d'énergie rechargeable, telle qu'un ressort de sonnerie, spiral ou similaire, ou un ensemble de poids, ou similaire, qui est destinée à entraîner au moins une roue de sonnerie 11 simple ou multiple. Quelque soit la nature de la source d'énergie, mécanique, électrique, ou autre, l'invention a pour but d'interdire une poursuite incorrecte du cycle de sonnerie en cas d'effort moteur insuffisant fourni par la source d'énergie, jusqu'à ce que celle-ci soit réalimentée à un niveau d'énergie suffisant pour un bon fonctionnement du mécanisme de sonnerie. La roue de sonnerie 11 comporte une piste de cames pour chaque timbre de sonnerie à commander. L'invention est ici décrite pour l'application particulière à des pièces d'horlogerie dont la source d'énergie de sonnerie est mécanique, de type ressort.
