Claims (14)

  1. Method of longitudinally guiding rolling stock, particularly a hot-rolled steel strip, on a roller path (3) of a hot-rolling mill (1), which after leaving the finishing rolling train (2) is transported by way of the roller path in the direction of a coiler (7) and which runs through a laminar cooling region (4) lying between the finishing rolling train and the coiler, characterised in that the rolling stock (5) is guided longitudinally and on both sides of the laminar cooling region (4) by at least one lateral guide.
  2. Method according to claim 1, characterised in that the rolling stock (5) is guided longitudinally and on both sides of the laminar cooling region (4) by a plurality of lateral guides (11).
  3. Method according to claim 1, characterised in that the width of the rolling stock (5) is automatically detected after the rolling stock has passed the finishing rolling train (2).
  4. Method according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the relevant lateral guides (11) are set to the detected rolling stock width after the head of the rolling stock (5) has passed the respective lateral guide.
  5. Method according to claim 4, characterised in that the setting of the lateral guides (11) to the rolling stock width is carried in controlled manner.
  6. Method according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the position of the lateral guides (11) is set in dependence on the position of a cooling device (10), which is arranged above the rolling stock (5), with screening elements (10.1) for a liquid cooling medium.
  7. Method according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the position of a cooling device (10), which is arranged above the rolling stock (5), with screening elements (10.1) for a liquid cooling medium is set in dependence on the position of the lateral guides (11).
  8. Hot-rolling mill with a finishing rolling train, comprising a laminar cooling region (4), which is arranged after the finishing rolling train (2), with a roller path (3) for transport of the rolling stock (5), a coiler (7), which is arranged at the end of the roller path (3), for coiling up the rolling stock (5) and a cooling device (10), which is arranged above the rolling stock (5), with screening elements (10.1) for a liquid cooling medium, characterised in that at least one lateral guide (11) is arranged longitudinally of the laminar cooling region (4).
  9. Hot-rolling mill according to claim 8, characterised in that a plurality of lateral guides (11) is arranged longitudinally of the laminar cooling region (4).
  10. Hot-rolling mill according to claim 8, characterised in that a measuring device (12) detecting the width of the rolling stock (5) is arranged between the outlet (2.1) of the finishing rolling train (2) and the inlet (4.1) of the laminar cooling region (4).
  11. Hot-rolling mill according to claim 8, characterised in that the at least one lateral guide (11) is settable, with respect to a uniform structure and uniform strength characteristics of the rolling stock (5), in dependence on the position of the cooling device (10), which device is arranged above the rolling stock (5), with screening elements (10.1) for a liquid cooling medium.
  12. Hot-rolling mill according to claim 8, characterised in that the position of the cooling device (10), which device is arranged above the rolling stock (5), with screening elements (10.1) for a liquid cooling medium is settable, with respect to a uniform structure and uniform strength characteristics of the rolling stock (5), in dependence on the position of the at least one lateral guide (11).
  13. Hot-rolling mill according to any one of the preceding claims 8 to 12, characterised in that the at least one lateral guide (11) comprises guide strips (11.1, 11.2) which are present on both sides of the rolling stock (5) and which are arranged parallel to one another and to be displaceable relative to one another.
  14. Hot-rolling mill according to claim 13, characterised in that each of the guide strips (11.1, 11.2) is disposed in operative connection with a drive device, which is constructed as a piston-cylinder unit (13) and which produces parallel displacement of the guide strips.
