Definitions
- the invention relates to a method according to the preamble of claim 1, as well as a water closet according to the preamble of claim 5.
- Water closets are well known. They have proven themselves in conjunction with a suitable drains and water supply in hygienic and functional terms.
- Such toilet systems are known to each consist of a flushing device and a toilet bowl.
- the flushing device should be designed so that it provides a flushing action in a flushing operation, which is sufficient to rinse the dishes and clean the bowl surface.
- the rinsing effect depends on the rinsing power of the rinsing water and the amount of rinsing water, but also substantially on the shape of the toilet bowl.
- the rinsing out of the items to be washed can be improved by sucking the contents of the trap from the siphon and by means of a so-called jet nozzle arranged in the siphon.
- the cleaning of the bowl surface is often insufficient in such toilet systems, so that must be cleaned with a toilet brush.
- post-purification is known to be less desirable.
- the US 6,145,138 discloses a water closet with a basin having a flushing channel for flushing the inside of the basin. During the flushing process, the flushing water passes through a plurality of openings of the flushing channel on the inside of the basin to clean them. Apart from the transition region from the basin to the siphon, the area of the inside which is arranged above it is also rinsed at the same time.
- the DE-T2-692 05 074 discloses a water closet with a sub-shower.
- the basin of the water closet is cleaned as usual via a flushing channel having a plurality of openings.
- the WO-A2-2004 / 082447 discloses a water closet having flushing nozzles in a seat directed against an upper bead of the basin.
- the DE-U-20 2006 012 072 discloses a toilet sink, wherein the rinse uses before use directly under a bead of the pelvic upper edge. In addition, fine jets are provided from thin openings.
- the GB 471.058 discloses a water closet having a flushing passage extending in a lower portion of the basin in the wall thereof.
- the flushing channel has flushing nozzles, which are partially directed upwards or downwards.
- the US 2007/0199138 represents the closest prior art and shows a toilet bowl with two immediately adjacent flushing rings, which are arranged in the region of the seat ring of the toilet bowl.
- the invention has for its object to provide a method and a water closet of the type mentioned, which ensures a higher cleaning effect and thus usually unnecessary after-cleaning.
- the object is achieved in a generic method according to claim 1 or a generic water closet according to claim 5.
- the invention is based on the finding that the said transition region is generally much more contaminated after use of the water closet than the overlying region of the bowl surface.
- the targeted cleaning of this area can be avoided in most cases, a post-cleaning.
- the said transition region can then be cleaned particularly effectively and with comparatively little water if, according to the invention, the means are designed as a nozzle ring and at least part of the water jets emitted by the nozzle ring are directed against said transition region.
- Such water jets have a particularly high cleaning power and can also be targeted specifically directed against this transition region.
- the means are arranged in a toilet seat. This allows a particularly suitable implementation of these means.
- the nozzles may be disposed on an underside of the toilet seat and directed against the transition area.
- the means preferably form a flow cone, which tapers downwards and is directed against said transition region. This allows a particularly effective cleaning of this transition region.
- the bowl surface is cleaned above the said transition region with further means of the flushing device.
- These other means thus clean an area that is usually minimally polluted.
- These means may be formed as a conventional flushing channel in the upper edge of the toilet bowl. But it is also possible to clean the area with nozzles that are located in the toilet seat. These nozzles can be designed in particular as flat jet nozzles. These are then targeted to this area.
- the invention also relates to a water closet, which can be flushed according to the inventive method.
- This includes a flushing device and a siphon-containing toilet bowl.
- the water closet is characterized in that means are provided with which a transition region from the pool to the siphon with water can be specifically cleaned.
- such comprises Water closet also means for targeted cleaning of the siphon.
- Such a water closet comprises two nozzle rings. A first, top-mounted nozzle ring is specifically intended for cleaning said transition region and a second nozzle ring for cleaning the siphon. These means can be designed so that they take effect immediately during a rinsing process or after.
- the two flushing rings can also be effective simultaneously or sequentially.
- the single figure shows schematically a spatial view of a water closet according to the invention.
- the water closet 1 shown in the single figure has a toilet bowl 2, which has an upper edge 3 with an opening 4 and a basin 5 and a siphon 6 adjoining this at the bottom.
- the siphon 6 has a connection 7 which can be connected to a disposal line of a sewage system.
- the departure direction is indicated by the arrow 8.
- the toilet bowl 2 has a bowl surface 24 which merges into a siphon surface 25 of the siphon 6.
- These surfaces 24 and 25 can be divided into three areas A, B and C.
- the area A is located in the upper part of the basin 5 and is usually only slightly dirty.
- the area B forms a transitional area between the basin 5 and the siphon 6 and is usually much more polluted than the area A.
- the area C is located within the siphon 6 and is usually even more polluted than the area B.
- a cistern for example, is provided, is stored in the rinse water, which is discharged at a flush to the toilet bowl 2.
- the flushing can also be done directly from a pressure line.
- the flushing device comprises a first nozzle ring 9, which is connected via a connecting piece 12, for example with a cistern.
- This nozzle ring 9 has a plurality of Nozzle openings 11, which are directed downward. These nozzle openings 11 may be arranged at equal intervals or unequal distances. They are adapted to the cross section of the basin 2. This also applies to the direction of the nozzles 11.
- the water flowing into the nozzle ring 9 leaves the nozzles 11 in the form of water jets 26, which form a flow cone.
- the water jets 26 are specifically directed so that their cleaning power act primarily on the bowl surface 24 in area B.
- the region B which as a rule is comparatively heavily contaminated, is cleaned by the water leaving the nozzle openings 11 in the form of the water jets 26.
- the water jets 26 leave the nozzles 11 with a comparatively high speed and thus a comparatively high energy and cleaning power. As a result, this transition region B can be cleaned particularly effectively.
- the nozzles 11 are preferably formed so that they form a full stream of water, which is directed against said transition region.
- the first nozzle ring 9 can be firmly connected to the basin 5. However, it can also be arranged in a toilet seat.
- This toilet seat can be fixed or pivotally connected to the basin 2.
- This toilet seat thus has nozzles 11, which are provided at least partially for the cleaning of the transition region B. But here are also possible nozzles, which are directed against the area A and thus clean this usually little polluted area. These nozzles can then be designed in particular as flat jet nozzles.
- the cleaning of the area A can also be cleaned with other means, which are formed for example by a flushing channel. These further means for cleaning the region A can also be designed as a nozzle ring.
- the water closet 1 has a second nozzle ring 10, which has a connecting piece 13, which is also supplied in the direction of arrow 15 rinse water.
- the rinse water can also come, for example, from the cistern, not shown here.
- This second nozzle ring 10 is arranged below the first nozzle ring 9 in the descending region of the siphon 6 and at a distance from the first nozzle ring 9. It has nozzle openings 17 which generate water jets 18, which are directed against a wall 23 of the siphon 6.
- the second nozzle ring 10 is located approximately at the level of the level of the siphon water or above this level. That by the Nozzles 17 flowing in the siphon 6 accelerate the siphon water and the constituents therein and convey them in the directions of the arrows 21 and 22 against the outlet 7.
- the water jets 18 form a flow cone which is focused against the wall 23. The direction is indicated by the arrow 20. On the wall 23, the water discharged from the nozzles 17 is reflected and forms a vortex 19, which extends as can be seen in the arc 16 of the siphon 6. The vortex 19 increases the rinsing effect as well as the cleaning effect.
- the second nozzle ring 10 thus generates a purge stream for rinsing the items to be washed and also causes an intensive cleaning of the siphon surface 25 in the descending region of the siphon 6 and also in the region of the arc 16.
