Description

The invention relates to a process for the production of single or multi-leaf printed products and inserted inserts existing printed products such as book blocks, books, brochures, magazines or the like., In which the printed products and the supplements to form loose book block are collected on a collection route optionally, said a plurality of feeders are arranged along the collecting line, which feed the printed products at regular intervals to the following receiving points of a continuously circulating conveyor device.

In the production bound printed products such as book blocks, books, phone books, paperbacks, magazines or the like. Products are usually produced in a first step, different precursors such as sheets or sheets, which later collected with a gathering machine to loose book block and using adhesive binding, wire or thread stitching bound and possibly provided with an envelope. In addition, reply cards, CD's / DVD's, illustrations, pouches or similar flat products can be inserted loosely or adhesively into the printed products, either side-by-side or in-line, during the collation process.

Also known are digital printing machines, which are sequentially printed from a roll all pages of a book block, stacked into a loose book block and then bound with a downstream binding device in line. The paper web is usually several times wider than the printed sheets, so that they are longitudinally cut or longitudinally folded after printing in strips to last cut transversely and the resulting sheet be folded at best and stacked to a complete loose book block. Depending on how it is folded or cut, loose book blocks produced in this way consist of individual sheets or folded printed sheets. Alternatively, already cut to size sheets can be printed and stacked in the manner described to loose book block. For feeding inserts between pages of book blocks made in this way, it is known to open the book blocks in loose or bound state with a sword and then to insert inserts into the opening, this method having the disadvantage that the printed products can not be opened on the page or in the exact bend and thus the supplements are not deliverable at the desired location.

In the EP 1 559 573 A1 It is proposed to feed a sheet or printed sheet in a printing machine a supplement before stacking, wherein the supplement can rest on the sheet or sheet or with this connection means, such as an adhesive or electrostatic blocking can be connected. With this method, supplements are bow resp. can be fed to the page. However, there is a risk that an insert during the stacking process relative to the printed sheet resp. Can move stack.

The invention has for its object to provide a method and an apparatus which a page-accurate feeding of supplements in digital resp. enable sequentially printed book blocks so that the inserts to the print sheets are accurately positionable.

The object is achieved according to the invention in that the receiving points of the conveying device along the collecting line are fed sequentially printed printed products via at least one feeder connected to a digital printing machine as a single sheet and / or partial block stack. Instead of a digital printing machine could also be another printing machine, for example, a tape printing machine can be used with the sequentially printed sub-block stacks are produced.

The invention will be explained below with reference to the drawing and the cited prior art, to which reference is made with respect to all details not mentioned in the description, based on several embodiments.

Fig. 1 shows a schematic representation of a device for the production of book blocks, books, phone books, paperbacks, magazines or the like. Products that are printed with at least one digital printing machine 1 and then bound to. A digital printing machine 1 is understood to mean a printing press which prints page after page of printed products sequentially, the page content being available in the form of electronically stored data. In the example shown, a paper web 2 unwound from a roll is printed by the digital printing machine 1, longitudinally cut into four strips of equal width, the strips subsequently cut into sections transversely, and the sections in stacking devices 3 each to single sheet and / or partial block stacks 4, 5, 6 collected. In this way, a series of four identical sub-block stacks 4, 5, 6 of a certain type are formed from single sheets printed in the correct order. Subsequently, four identical partial block stacks 4, 5, 6 of a further resp. different type printed and stacked. This is continued until each of a series is printed and stacked of each type of sub-block stacks 4, 5, 6, the number of series of different sub-block stacks 4, 5, 6 being 1 higher than the number of positions in the inserts 7, 8 incomplete, promoted on a collection section 14 funded book block. In the example, two types of supplements 7, 8 are fed between three different partial block stacks 4, 5, 6. The complete sub-block stacks 4, 5, 6 are fed in the conveying direction F to a switch 10 and via these to a respective delivery path provided for them 11 steered. On the conveying path 11, the sub-block stacks 4, 5, 6 in the feed Z behind the already located at the end of the conveying path 11 partial block stacks 4, 5, 6 promoted resp. jammed at this. A Eintaktvorrichtung 13 forming a feeder 12 transfers the sub-block stacks 4, 5, 6 isochronously in a collecting section 14 with at regular intervals following receiving points 15 of a continuously moving in the collecting direction S conveyor 16. The receiving points 15 are connected to a circulating traction means 17, for example a Chain, fixed drivers 18 formed, which promote the loose book blocks 9 during and after the collection process in a collecting channel pushing. However, the receiving points 15 can just as well as rotating tables on which the sub-block stacks 4, 5, 6 are stored or staples in which the sub-block stacks 4, 5, 6 are clamped or saddle-shaped conveyor chain of a saddle stitcher, on the opened sub-block stacks 4, 5, 6 astride be trained. For the production of single- or multi-sheet printed products and inserted inserts 7, 8 existing printed products such as book blocks, books, brochures, magazines or the like. 14 additional investors 12 and supplement feeders 19 are arranged along the collection line, the partial block stacks 4, 5, 6 and Supplements 7, 8 each. The sub-block stacks 4, 5, 6 and supplements 7, 8 are optionally collected to form loose book block 9 on the collection line 14, wherein the conveyor device 16, respectively. the receiving points 15 for forming a printed product at least two single-sheet and / or partial block stacks 4, 5, 6 are fed via a respective feeder 12. At least one supplement 7, 8 is fed to the at least partially formed book block 9 of an upper side of a partial block stack 4, 5, 6 by means of an insert feeder 19 between the at least two individual sheet and / or partial block stacks 4, 5, 6 feeding investors. If the supplement 7, 8 are later incorporated in a binding device 20 in the book block 9, this can be placed loosely on top of a partial block stack 4, 5, 6 of the partially formed book block 9. If the supplement 7, 8 are fastened within the flat top side of a partial block stack 4, 5, 6 of a partially formed book block 9, the insert 7, 8 can be adhered to the surface. For this purpose, the supplement 7, 8 by an adhesive, respectively. Adhesive are fixed to the partially formed book block 9 or electrostatically temporarily blocked with the partially formed book block 9. At least one of the feeders 12 leads on a digital printing machine 1 sequentially printed printed products 19 as a single sheet and / or partial block stacks 4, 5, 6 to the receiving points 15 of the conveying device 16 along the collecting path 14. Each receiving point 15 is fed during its course along the feeder 12 and shim feeder 19 of each of these feeder 12 and shimming feeder 19 in the correct order, each with a sub-block stack 4, 5, 6 or a supplement 7, 8, so that each receiving point 15 at the end of Conveying device 16 includes a complete loose book block 9, which is transferred to its further processing in a binding device 20, where the complete book block 9 glued-bound, spiral bound, wire or thread stitched. For controlling and coordinating the processes, a control device 24 is connected via lines 25 to the digital printing machine 1, the switch 10, the conveying paths 11 to the investors 12, the conveyor 16 and the binding device 20. Instead of a central control device 24, a plurality of control devices connected to one another via lines 25 may be provided.

Opposite the in Fig. 1 illustrated digital printing machine 1, the digital printing machine 1 in Fig. 2 1, only one stacking device 3 is shown, in which individual partial block stacks 4, 5, 6 are sequentially formed and subsequently distributed to the feeders 12 via the switch 10, the subsequent collecting process taking place analogously to the previously described process.

At an in Figure 3 illustrated device with a digital printing machine 1, the printed paper web 2 in a folding device 21 longitudinally and / or transversely folded and cut, so that folded sheet passed over the switch 10 and in the specific sub-block stacks 4, 5, 6 associated stacking devices 3 to sub-block stacks 4, 5, 6 can be stacked. The subsequent operations again correspond to those described above.

The Fig. 4 shows a conveyor 16 which is fed via a plurality of feeders 12 with partial block stacks 4, 5, 6 of several digital printing machines 1, wherein each of these Digital printing machines 1 each one type partial block stack 4, 5, 6 produces. The subsequent operations again correspond to those described above. According to another idea, according to the Fig. 5 likewise the inserts 7, 8 produced in a digital printing unit 22 are fed via a feeder 12 to an at least partially formed book block 9. In addition, sheet feeders 23 for the supply of conventional, for example, produced by offset sheet can be arranged along the collection line 14 at any point. This has the advantage that sheets with changing imprint digitally printed in line and the remaining types of sheet but on a faster conventional printing press (before) can be produced.
