Definitions
- the invention relates to ringtones, and in particular watches with mechanical ringtones including a stamp struck by a hammer to generate vibrations.
- the stamp used is a circular-shaped wire placed in a plane parallel to the dial of the watch.
- the wire is arranged around a movement, in the cage of the watch.
- One end of the stamp is fixed, for example by solder, to a stamp holder.
- the other end of the stamp is usually free.
- the stamp holder is itself secured to the watch plate and holds the wire above the plate.
- the watch includes a hammer actuated at predetermined times.
- the vibration of the stamp is produced by the impact of the hammer on the stamp of the stamp holder.
- the hammer makes a partial rotation in the plane of the stamp so as to vibrate the stamp in its plane. Part of the vibration of the timbre is transmitted to the deck.
- the stage then vibrates in a plane parallel to the plane of the timbre.
- the vibration obtained is composed of several eigenfrequencies, whose number and respective intensities, especially in the audible range, depend in particular on the geometry of the stamp and the physical properties of the material.
- fundamental frequency which is also called first harmonic
- harmonics which are integer multiples of the frequency fundamental.
- the frequencies above the fundamental are no longer integer multiples of the lowest frequency, they are rather defined by the term "partial".
- the ring volume is relatively limited and the energy efficiency of the ring is relatively low.
- the sound quality of the ring is generally poor because of a small number of eigenfrequencies of the sound emitted.
- a striking mechanism which consists of a hammer rotatably mounted about an axis of rotation perpendicular to a base plate, to strike a bell fixed on the base plate.
- a striking mechanism which consists of a hammer rotatably mounted about an axis of rotation perpendicular to a base plate, to strike a bell fixed on the base plate.
- patent documents can be cited US 1,001,095 A and FR 2 480 453 A1 .
- the bell attached to the base plate can also be replaced by a spiral-shaped stamp as described in the patent document DE 443,387 C .
- none of these achievements allows to have a relatively high ring volume and sufficient sound quality.
- the invention aims to solve one or more of these disadvantages.
- the patch has an elongate beam surrounding the mechanism.
- Said surface may be formed by a flat surface formed on a portion of said beam.
- a cage housing the movement is formed, and the stamp is disposed in the cage.
- the stamp is made with a precious metal or an alloy of precious metals.
- said surface is placed at a distance from the attachment of the stamp to the stamp holder.
- the cross section of the beam outside said impact surface is a disk.
- the stamp holder is projecting relative to a bottom of the frame, which can be a platinum or middle watch, and wherein the stamp is disposed above the bottom of the frame.
- An advantage of the watch according to the invention lies in the fact that the patch can be configured to optimize the performance of the watch ring with vibrations transmitted more efficiently to the various elements of the watch movement. Thanks in particular to an inclined surface of the stamp on which the hammer strikes, the vibrations of the stamp are generated in a direction of the plane of the stamp and also in a direction orthogonal to the plane of the stamp. Thus a better propagation of the vibrations is thus achieved.
- the invention proposes a watch provided with a ring tone.
- the stamp generally surrounds a movement of the watch and extends substantially in a plane.
- a hammer hits an impact surface of the stamp to make it vibrate. This surface is inclined relative to the normal to the plane of the stamp.
- this stamp vibrates both in its plan and according to the normal to its plan.
- the energy efficiency of the stamp is thus improved.
- the transmission of vibrations to the watch plate is improved, the stamp holder being able to transmit to the plate not only twisting forces but also tensile / compressive forces. This further improves the energy efficiency and can improve the spectral density of the ring generated, in particular by decreasing it, which makes it possible to reduce a dissonance due to near frequency partials.
- the figure 1 is a simplified view from above of the interior of a watch 1 according to one embodiment of the invention.
- the figure 2 is a simplified view in diametral section of the watch of the figure 1 .
- the watch 1 comprises a plate 2.
- a cage is formed in this plate 2.
- the watch 1 comprises a movement 3 known per se and housed in the cage. The movement 3 will typically be a mechanical movement.
- the watch 1 comprises a stamp 4 and a stamp holder 5 also housed in the cage.
- the stamp holder 5 is integral with the plate 2.
- the stamp holder 5 is projecting relative to the bottom of the plate 2.
- the stamp 4 surrounds the movement 3 and extends substantially in a plane x, y, plane which corresponds substantially to the plane of the dial of the watch 1.
- the stamp 4 is fixed by one of its ends to the stamp holder 5. The other end of the stamp 4 is free.
- the stamp holder 5 maintains the stamp 4 above the bottom of the plate 2. A movement of the stamp along the z axis is thus arranged so that it can vibrate in this direction.
- the watch 1 further comprises a hammer 6 adapted to strike an impact surface of the stamp 4 when actuated.
- the hammer 6 may especially be operated every minute.
- the hammer 6 is pivotally mounted relative to an axis 7 normal to the plane of the stamp 4, the axis thus having a direction z.
- This hammer 6 can be actuated to strike the stamp at an inclined surface 8 in relation to the normal to the plane of the stamp.
- the mechanism 3 is not illustrated in the figure 2 .
- this hammer 6 is mounted near the stamp holder. However, it can also be imagined to mount it on the plate substantially at a distance from said stamp holder 5.
- the figure 3 is an enlarged sectional view of the stamp at an impact surface 8 on which the hammer 6 strikes. As illustrated, this surface 8 is inclined relative to the direction z (direction normal to the plane of the stamp 4). Thus, when one end of the hammer 6 strikes this surface 8, the stamp 4 is caused to vibrate also in the direction z.
- the figure 4 represents the displacement of the stamp 4 during a striking of the hammer 6.
- the circle in broken lines represents the position of the stamp 4 at rest.
- the hammer 6 After coming into contact with the impact surface 8, the hammer 6 continues its movement in the direction x. The hammer 6 slides against the surface 8. Due to the inclination of the surface 8 with respect to the z direction, the stamp 4 is elastically deformed and locally undergoes displacement with components along the x and z directions as illustrated. .
- the stamp 4 typically has a beam, for example consisting of a wire, surrounding the mechanism 3.
- the beam may thus be formed of a single winding of a gold wire.
- the impact surface 8 is formed by a flattened portion on a portion of this beam.
- the flat surface in this case forms a flat surface, which is advantageously inclined at 45 ° with respect to the z direction. Such a form is particularly easy to achieve.
- the beam is in this case circular, which reduces its size inside the watch.
- the beam will typically have a diameter of less than 1 mm, for example of the order of 0.6 mm.
- the illustrated beam forms a portion of torus. This torus portion will advantageously extend at an angle of between 300 ° and 350 °. This torus can also do more than one round of movement (stamp called "cathedral").
- the beam may also have other suitable shapes, for example a rectangular shape, for acoustic reasons.
- the cross section of the beam outside the impact surface 8 may be a disc, as illustrated.
- the stamp 4 will advantageously be made with a precious metal or an alloy of precious metals.

Description
The invention relates to ringtones, and in particular watches with mechanical ringtones including a stamp struck by a hammer to generate vibrations.
In the field of watchmaking, a traditional architecture is used to perform movements, which are provided with striking mechanisms, such as minute repetitions. In these embodiments, the stamp used is a circular-shaped wire placed in a plane parallel to the dial of the watch. The wire is arranged around a movement, in the cage of the watch. One end of the stamp is fixed, for example by solder, to a stamp holder. The other end of the stamp is usually free. The stamp holder is itself secured to the watch plate and holds the wire above the plate. The watch includes a hammer actuated at predetermined times. The vibration of the stamp is produced by the impact of the hammer on the stamp of the stamp holder. The hammer makes a partial rotation in the plane of the stamp so as to vibrate the stamp in its plane. Part of the vibration of the timbre is transmitted to the deck. The stage then vibrates in a plane parallel to the plane of the timbre.
The vibration obtained is composed of several eigenfrequencies, whose number and respective intensities, especially in the audible range, depend in particular on the geometry of the stamp and the physical properties of the material. Generally for the production of a fixed pitch musical sound throughout the sound spectrum, there is a fundamental frequency, which is also called first harmonic, and one or more harmonics, which are integer multiples of the frequency fundamental. In other cases where the frequencies above the fundamental are no longer integer multiples of the lowest frequency, they are rather defined by the term "partial". One finds mainly a partial sound in percussion instruments or certain stringed instruments, or during attack spikes, such as the impact or impact of a hammer against a timbre of a watch ring.
In practice, the ring volume is relatively limited and the energy efficiency of the ring is relatively low. Moreover, the sound quality of the ring is generally poor because of a small number of eigenfrequencies of the sound emitted.
The invention aims to solve one or more of these disadvantages.
- a stamp having a beam surrounding a movement and extending substantially in a plane,
- a stamp holder integral with a frame of the watch, the stamp being fixed to the stamp holder,
- at least one hammer to strike the stamp to produce a vibration of said stamp,
According to one variant, the patch has an elongate beam surrounding the mechanism. Said surface may be formed by a flat surface formed on a portion of said beam.
According to another variant, a cage housing the movement is formed, and the stamp is disposed in the cage.
According to another variant, the stamp is made with a precious metal or an alloy of precious metals.
According to a variant, said surface is placed at a distance from the attachment of the stamp to the stamp holder.
According to another variant, the cross section of the beam outside said impact surface is a disk.
According to another variant, the stamp holder is projecting relative to a bottom of the frame, which can be a platinum or middle watch, and wherein the stamp is disposed above the bottom of the frame.
An advantage of the watch according to the invention lies in the fact that the patch can be configured to optimize the performance of the watch ring with vibrations transmitted more efficiently to the various elements of the watch movement. Thanks in particular to an inclined surface of the stamp on which the hammer strikes, the vibrations of the stamp are generated in a direction of the plane of the stamp and also in a direction orthogonal to the plane of the stamp. Thus a better propagation of the vibrations is thus achieved.

The invention proposes a watch provided with a ring tone. The stamp generally surrounds a movement of the watch and extends substantially in a plane. A hammer hits an impact surface of the stamp to make it vibrate. This surface is inclined relative to the normal to the plane of the stamp.
During a percussion of the timbre by the hammer, this stamp vibrates both in its plan and according to the normal to its plan. The energy efficiency of the stamp is thus improved. Moreover, the transmission of vibrations to the watch plate is improved, the stamp holder being able to transmit to the plate not only twisting forces but also tensile / compressive forces. This further improves the energy efficiency and can improve the spectral density of the ring generated, in particular by decreasing it, which makes it possible to reduce a dissonance due to near frequency partials.

The
The beam will typically have a diameter of less than 1 mm, for example of the order of 0.6 mm. The illustrated beam forms a portion of torus. This torus portion will advantageously extend at an angle of between 300 ° and 350 °. The invention can be applied to a wristwatch but also to other types of timepieces such as alarm clocks.
Dans l'exemple illustré, la montre 1 présente un unique marteau 6.In the example shown, the
However, a watch according to the invention may have several hammers and the stamp may have several corresponding striking surfaces inclined relative to the normal to its plane.
