Claims (15)
- Device for heating an object by means of a water bath, in particular for stretching pathological or histological sections, in particular paraffin sections prior to microscopic examination, having a housing (1) and a vessel (2) which is inserted into the housing (1), wherein the water bath can be temperature-controlled by means of an electric heating unit, wherein the electric heating unit comprises at least one heating plate (4) which is associated with the base (3) of the vessel (2), and wherein a predeterminable water temperature can be adjusted,
characterised in that the vessel (2) is provided with underwater illumination which can be selectively activated. - Device according to claim 1, characterised in that the electric heating unit comprises at least two or more heating plates (4), wherein the heating plates (4) can be activated together.
- Device according to claim 1 or claim 2, characterised in that the heating plates (4) are integral components of the base (3) of the vessel (2),
or in that the heating plates (4) are connected, preferably adhesively bonded, from below to the base (3) of the vessel (2),
wherein the heating plates (4) can be adhesively bonded by means of an adhesive having a high thermal conductivity. - Device according to any one of claims 1 to 3, characterised in that the side walls of the vessel (2) are provided with heating elements,
wherein the heating elements may be heating plates (4), heating pipes or heating cables. - Device according to any one of claims 1 to 4, characterised in that the wall of the vessel (2) is constructed to be as thin as possible in the base region, preferably having a thickness in the region of approximately 1 mm.
- Device according to any one of claims 1 to 5, characterised in that the housing (1) is produced as a monolithic block,
preferably from an aluminium block,
the surface of the housing (1) preferably being bright anodised. - Device according to any one of claims 1 to 6, characterised in that the vessel (2) is produced from aluminium,
wherein the surface of the vessel (2) is preferably dark, in particular black, anodised. - Device according to any one of claims 1 to 7, characterised in that the vessel (2) has a depositing face (5) which extends at least partially around the vessel (2) for depositing samples, object carriers, etcetera,
wherein the depositing face (5) may extend around the vessel (2) in its entirety and may have a width in the range from 30 mm to 70 mm, preferably from approximately 50 mm. - Device according to claim 8, characterised in that the depositing face (5) is delimited by a peripheral outer edge (6) which is raised with respect to the depositing face (5), and/or in that the depositing face (5) or the edge (6) has a marking (7) for the position of an output/discharge.
- Device according to claim 8 or claim 9, characterised in that the depositing face (5) is heated,
wherein the heating of the depositing face (5) may be actuatable and adjustable independently of the heating in the base region. - Device according to any one of claims 1 to 10, characterised in that the vessel (2) is provided with an optical and/or electrical or electronic water level display, preferably by means of a window or a display which is visible from the outer side of the housing (1),
wherein the illumination may comprise at least one diode as an illumination means and/or wherein the illumination may comprise two diodes which can be switched independently of each other, preferably in order to emit white and blue light, and/or in that the illumination may be constructed as an RGB illumination with adjustable colours or with an adjustable wavelength. - Device according to claim 11, characterised in that the illumination is constructed in the sides of the vessel (2).
- Device according to any one of claims 1 to 12, characterised in that the housing (1) has a front viewing face with a display and operating elements,
wherein the operating elements may be integrated in the display and the display may preferably be constructed as a touch panel. - Device according to any one of claims 1 to 13, characterised in that an electronic system is provided in the housing (1) for temperature regulation,
wherein the temperature regulation may be configured in such a manner that the water bath, after approximately from 2 to 5 minutes, preferably after 3 minutes, has already reached the adjusted operating temperature, preferably in the range from 40°C to 45°C, wherein an individual adjustment and/or change of the operating temperature is possible,
and/or wherein the electronic system may comprise an emergency stop function, which deactivates the heating unit when a value falls below a lower water level which can preferably be predetermined in the vessel (2). - Device according to any one of claims 1 to 14, characterised in that the vessel (2) is inserted into the housing (1) and is fixed at that location,
wherein the vessel (2) can be screwed to the housing (1), preferably from below, and/or
wherein a base cover (20) is provided for lower-side closure of the housing (1).
