The optical display device 15 may also be associated with an audible indicator (not shown) which indicates an adjustment of the adjusting element 10, for example via a change in pitch, or indicates the program stop or a malfunction. In Fig. 2 ist ein Einstellelement 10 dargestellt, das einen berührungssensitiven Regler 17, einen sog. Touchslider aufweist. Am im Ausführungsbeispiel der Fig. 2 gezeigten Einstellelement sind die Einstellgrößen bereits zu Paketen zusammengefasst und geben dem Benutzer die Möglichkeit, die Waschdauer bzw. die Waschintensität des gewählten Betriebsprogramms stufenweise zu verändern. Eine Einstellung der Einstellgröße erfolgt, indem der Benutzer einen Finger oder die ganze Hand über die Reglerfläche 18 bewegt. Der Regler ist im Ausführungsbeispiel der Fig. 2 hinterleuchtet. In Abhängigkeit davon, wie weit der Benutzer seinen Finger oder seine Hand über die Reglerfläche 18 bewegt, werden die entsprechenden Einstellgrößen verändert. Die Veränderung wird durch Aufleuchten eines in das Einstellelement 10 integrierten Lichtelements 16 verdeutlicht und zeigt an, in wie weit das Betriebsprogramm in Richtung einer schnellen bzw. einer intensiven Betriebsart 14 verändert wurde.In Fig. 2 an adjusting element 10 is shown, which has a touch-sensitive controller 17, a so-called. Claims (21)

  1. Laundry device having a memory unit and at least one operating program stored selectively in the memory unit with a number of operating program parameters, with the stored operating program being assigned specific operating values of the operating program parameter in each case, at least one setting element (10) for user setting of at least one adjustable variable and a control unit for automatically changing at least one operating program parameter to match it to the adjustable variable which has been set by the user,
    wherein
    the adjustable variable is an end result to be achieved with the execution of a selected operating program and that at least one operating value of the specific operating values of the operating program parameters of the selected operating program is able to be altered automatically as a function of the end result set according to the selection of the operating program.
  2. Laundry care device according to claim 1,
    characterised in that,
    if a setting of the adjustable variable, especially of an end result to be achieved, for the selected operating program causes an alteration or deterioration of at least one of further end result able to be achieved with the execution of the selected operating program, for the specific operating value and/or for at least one further specific operating value of the operating program parameter, an operating value and/or operating values is or are able to be determined with which an end result is able to be achieved which most closely approximates to the achievable further end results originally assigned to specific operating values of the selected operating program.
  3. Laundry care device according to claim 1 or 2, characterised in that
    the setting element (10) is provided for the user to set at least one of the following adjustable variables: Operating program duration, cleaning results, rinsing result, drying result, residual spin moisture, water consumption, energy consumption.
  4. Laundry care device according to one of the previous claims,
    characterised in that
    a first extreme value for a first adjustable variable and a further extreme value for a further adjustable variable are offered in combination and the setting of the further adjustable variable can be altered to the further extreme value by altering the first adjustable variable from the first extreme value in the direction of the further extreme value.
  5. Laundry care device according to one of the previous claims,
    characterised in that
    the setting element (10) makes it possible for the user to set the adjustable variable to one or more values within a predetermined range.
  6. Laundry care device according to one of the previous claims,
    characterised in that
    it additionally features a processing unit for automatic computation of the alteration of the least one operating program parameter, especially of the operating value of the least one operating program parameter to match the value of the adjustable parameter set by the user.
  7. Laundry care device according to one of the previous claims,
    characterised in that
    it additionally comprises a memory unit to store pre-specified operating program parameters.
  8. Laundry care device according to claim 7,
    characterised in that
    the memory unit is provided for storage of the operating program parameters in a form grouped together into packets, with at least one packet in each case being assigned a value of an adjustable variable.
  9. Laundry care device according to one of the previous claims
    characterised in that
    a selector switch is provided for selecting an operating program.
  10. Laundry care device according to claim 9,
    characterised in that
    the setting element (10) is integrated into the selector switch.
  11. Laundry care device according to one of the previous claims
    characterised in that
    the setting element (10) is embodied so that it can be adjusted in steps or steplessly, especially as a rotary switch, slider switch or control, touch sensitive switch or control (17) or as a rocker switch (11).
  12. Laundry care device according to one of the previous claims,
    characterised in that
    a display (20) for showing the operating program and/or the alteration of the operating program parameters as a function of the alteration of the adjustable variable is provided.

    a display device (15) for displaying the setting of the setting element (10) made by the user is provided.

Method for operating a laundry care device in accordance with one of claims 1 to 14, in which, after selection of an operating program or part operating program with a number of operating program parameters, with the stored operating program in each case being assigned a specific operating values of the operating program parameters,
    - at least one adjustable variable is set by a user and
    - at least one operating program parameter is altered automatically so as to match the adjustable variable set by the user,
    wherein the adjustable variable is an end result to be achieved with the execution of a selected operating program and that at least one operating value of the specific operating values of the operating program parameters of the selected operating program is altered automatically as a function of the end result set.
  16. Method according to claim 15,
    characterised in that,
    if a setting of the adjustable variable, especially of an end result to be achieved, for the selected operating program, causes an alteration or deterioration of at least one of further end result able to be achieved with the execution of the selected operating program, for the specific operating value and/or for at least one further specific operating value of the operating program parameters an operating value and/or operating values is or are able to be determined automatically with which an end result is able to be achieved which most closely approximates to the achievable further end results originally assigned to specific operating values of the selected operating program.
  17. Method according to claim 15 or 16,
    characterised in that
    at least one of the following adjustable variables is provided for the setting made by the user: Operating program duration, cleaning result, rinsing results, residual spin moisture, water consumption, energy consumption.
  18. Method according to one of claims 15 to 17,
    characterised in that
    a first extreme value for a first adjustable variable and a further extreme value for a further adjustable variable are offered in combination and the setting of the further adjustable variable to the further extreme value can be altered by an alteration of the first adjustable variable from the first extreme value in the direction of the further extreme value.
  19. Method according to one of claims 15 to 18,
    characterised in that
    the adjustable variable is set by the user and the at least one operating program parameter altered automatically in steps or steplessly.
  20. Method according to one of claims 15 to 19,
    characterised in that
    the alteration of the least one operating program parameter as a function of the setting of the adjustable variable is computed in a processing unit.
  21. Method according to claim 20,
    characterised in that
    the alteration of the least one operating program parameter is shown on a display (20).
