Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to the technical field of hand-held mechanical hair removal apparatus.
Such body care appliances generally comprise a hollow body equipped with an epilation head. The apparatus also comprises mechanical depilatory means which are arranged in the epilating head so as to be located at a working window arranged in the head. These mechanical depilatory means are most often formed by a drum carrying a plurality of epilation forceps opening and closing as the rotation of the drum being actuated by cam systems. The drum is itself rotated by an electric motor most often associated with a gear train. Such a mechanical epilation device gives full satisfaction with regard to its primary function hair removal but has the disadvantage of being relatively noisy due in particular to the number of moving mechanical parts and, more particularly, the electric motor and of the associated gear train.
It has therefore emerged the need for a new type of mechanical hair removal device that is less noisy with use in order to improve the conditions of use.
- a hollow body,
- an epilation head which equips the body and which comprises means of mechanical depilation,
- drive means of the mechanical depilatory means, the drive means being disposed inside the hollow body,
According to the invention, the hollow body is at least partially covered with at least one attenuating skin of polymer material.
The implementation of such an attenuating skin makes it possible to reduce the propagation outside the body of the mechanical noises coming from the drive means of the mechanical depilatory means. These mechanical noises are composed in particular of solid sounds that involve for example vibrations.
According to the invention, the hollow body may have a one-piece character or on the contrary be formed by the assembly of at least two half-bodies which are each partially covered at least with an attenuating skin. The formation of the hollow body from half-body makes it easier to assemble the hair removal apparatus.
According to the invention, each attenuating skin may be disposed inside the hollow body or, on the contrary, outside the latter. This last configuration makes it possible, depending on the nature of the polymer material used, to give the hair removal apparatus a more or less soft or satin feel, as well as a certain flexibility which increases the user's pleasure of using the appliance and the comfort of his grip.
- thermoplastiques,
- thermodur
- According to another characteristic of the invention, the constituent material of each skin may be chosen from elastomers:
- thermoplastics,
- thermoset
A thermoplastic material may be preferred to provide a recyclable material as it may repeatedly soften.
An elastomer is defined as a reversibly deformable material.
In this respect, good noise reduction results have been obtained by using as a material of the hollow body a plastic material while the constituent material of each attenuating skin is an elastomer. Of course, such a combination is not strictly necessary for the production of an epilation apparatus according to the invention and one or the other of the alternatives may be present.
De même, de bonnes performances d'atténuation acoustique ont été obtenues lorsque chaque peau atténuatrice présente, à une distance supérieure à 15mm des bords du corps, une épaisseur supérieure ou égale à 3mm.Similarly, good acoustic attenuation performance has been obtained when each attenuating skin has, at a distance greater than 15mm from the edges of the body, a thickness greater than or equal to 3mm.
The thickness of the skin can be constant or vary.
The depilation means use an electric motor that can be powered by means of an electrical cord connected either directly to the electrical network or via a transformer. The electric drive motor can also be powered by one or more batteries located inside the body. The control of the operation of the drive means can be carried out in any appropriate manner and, for example, implement a control switch carried by the body.
According to a characteristic of the invention, the control switch is located inside the body which comprises a maneuvering window providing access to the switch. This maneuvering window is then closed by a flexible web that allows the actuation of the control switch while making obstacle to the spread of noise and therefore to acoustic leakage. According to the invention, this flexible web can be made of any suitable polymeric material such as for example elastomer. According to the invention, the flexible web may be an integral part of an attenuating skin covering the hollow body and form with the latter a one-piece assembly. The flexible web may, on the contrary, be reported on the hollow body. Thus, according to a characteristic of the invention, the flexible web is formed by a central portion of a plug adapted to the body at the maneuvering window while according to another characteristic of the invention, the flexible web is part of integral of an attenuating skin.
According to the invention, each attenuating skin can be put in place in different ways. Thus, each attenuating skin can be reported inside or outside the hollow body after manufacture of the latter. According to one embodiment, each attenuating skin is overmolded on a portion of the hollow body. Such an embodiment, which involves a bi-injection, allows to obtain a perfect cohesion or adhesion of each attenuating skin on the body or the hollow body part with which it is associated.
According to the invention, in order to further increase the reduction of noises, and in particular mechanical noises generated by driving the mechanical depilatory means, the hand-held hair removal device may comprise a cradle which is arranged at the interior of the hollow body, which carries the drive means of the mechanical epilation means and which is connected to the hollow body by means of elastomer damping blocks. The implementation of such a cradle and damping blocks of elastomer or silent block allows a mechanical decoupling between the hollow body and the engine thus reducing the propagation of engine noise outside the device.
Still with the aim of further reducing the propagation of engine noise and according to an alternative embodiment of the invention, the cradle comprises an insulating wall which defines with the depilatory head and the hollow body a receiving box means mechanical depilation and the apparatus then comprises a peripheral sound insulation seal interposed between the insulation wall and the hollow body.
Of course, the various features, variants and embodiments of the invention can be associated with each other according to various combinations to the extent that they are not incompatible or exclusive of each other.
Moreover, various other features and advantages of the invention emerge from the description below made with reference to the accompanying drawings which illustrate a non-limiting embodiment of a mechanical hair removal device according to the invention.

In order to ensure the operation of the depilation means 6, the apparatus 1 comprises drive means 10 which comprise an electric motor driving a
Ainsi, il est possible à un utilisateur de manoeuvrer l'interrupteur 30 en appuyant sur le voile 32.According to the illustrated example and in order to ensure acoustic confinement of the
In order to further reduce the acoustic emissions of the mechanical depilation apparatus 1 according to the invention, the latter comprises at least one and, according to the illustrated example, two

Toutefois, le voile 32 pourrait faire partie intégrante de la peau atténuatrice 24.According to the illustrated example, the
In the same way, according to the illustrated example, each attenuating
