Claims (5)

  1. Mobile paying-out device (1) for a fire hose nozzle, comprising a frame (2) on which there is mounted in rotation around a transverse axis (X, X') a reel (3) which is designed to receive the hose, comprising a two-wheel assembly (4a, 4b) which assures the displacement by rolling of the paying-out device (1), and comprising braking means (9, 12a, 12b), characterised in that a so-called "dead man" device is provided for the braking means.
  2. Paying-out device according to claim 1, characterised in that the frame (2) is constituted by a low part (20) which constitutes the support for the reel, and a high part (21) which constitutes the gripping means, whereas the said frame comprises two lateral stays (13a, 13b) which are constituted by support parts secured to the lateral flanks of the low part of the frame, these said support parts extending along a length such that, in the position tilted onto the ground, the support of the stays on the ground places the gripping clamp so that its transverse gripping branch is not on the ground.
  3. Paying-out device according to either of the preceding claims, characterised in that the braking means are constituted by a braking clamp (9) which is fitted and pivots on the frame (2), the said clamp having the shape of an inverted "U", and being constituted by two lateral branches (9a, 9b), the upper ends of which are connected by a transverse braking control arm (9c), whereas the lateral branches (9a, 9b) are extended downwards beyond the axis of pivoting of the braking clamp (Y, Y') by braking extensions (9d, 9e) which each bear at their respective end a braking block (12a, 12b) which is designed to be supported on the tyre of the corresponding wheel.
  4. Paying-out device according to the preceding claim, characterised in that the braking clamp (9) is maintained in the braking position by at least one resilient system.
  5. Paying-out device according to the preceding claim, characterised in that it comprises a system for locking of the non-braking position, constituted by a pivoting lock (11) which is fitted on the transverse braking control arm (9c) and is designed to lock the braking clamp (9) relative to the frame (2).
