  • the object of the invention is to make the adjustment steps of a Freiarmneses of the type mentioned smoothly.
  • the object of the invention is achieved by a Freiarmtruck according to claim 1.
  • the measures of the invention have the consequence that the boom of the screen - after loosening a lock - can move smoothly over its entire length and without lateral tilting, that is, the boom without additional supports off and can be retracted. These measures are in particular for a screen after WO 98/08411 1 A suitable.
  • the boom does not have to be straight, but the advantages arise in particular when the boom is formed with its guideways in the form of a bow.
  • This arc need not be circular segment-shaped, but may also correspond to the section of another conical shape (ellipse segment, hyperbola segment or parabola segment) or a synthetic form of juxtaposed pieces with a varying radius of curvature.
  • rollers as holding and guiding members are set forth in claim 2, since then the roles - when they are loaded transversely to the axis of the roller - prevent that the front sides of the rollers to the base surfaces of the groove-like guideway braking and pending damage, as they have a corresponding distance from the base.
  • the guide member can be formed to the brake pad.
  • the embodiment of the Freiarmles when the central axis of the guideways coincide approximately with the center axis of the mast and / or the boom together, at least not more than 15%, preferably not more than 10% of the thickness of the corresponding profile of the mast and / or of the cantilever deviate from its central axis (claim 4).
  • the solution according to the invention is of particular advantage in the design of the free-arm umbrella according to claim 5, according to which the boom support is formed with at least four rollers, two of which engage in a left and a right-hand guideway of the cantilever. It is advantageous in terms of stability and load distribution, if the axial distance between the front and rear rollers 7 to 15%, preferably about 10% of the extension length of the boom measures (claim 6).
  • the boom may be rectilinear or arcuate according to claim 8.
  • the use of at least one wedge which is designed and arranged so that it simultaneously via a toothing a safety latching with the mast head on the one hand and on wedge surfaces a frictional connection between the mast head and boom on the other hand causes.
  • the locking device has two opposite, mutually braced wedges on (claim 11).
  • the teeth of the wedge may have cams or grooves which engage in the locking operation in corresponding grooves or cams on the mast head and cause a positive locking (claim 12).
  • the wedge wedge surfaces which cooperate with wedge surfaces of a brake shoe which frictionally abuts the boom (claim 13).
  • FIG. 1 is a Freiarmwall according to a preferred embodiment of the invention shown spanned from the side and designated as a whole with 2.
  • the Freiarmwall consists essentially of a mast 4 and a boom 6, the extension on the mast 4 and retractable, that is arranged in its longitudinal direction displaceable in the boom bracket 8, and carries a roof construction 10 of conventional construction.
  • the roof construction is clamped in the manner of a screen, fan or clamping frame or in a similar manner.
  • FIG. 1 is the mast top 70 in the extended position.
  • the FIG. 2 shows the screen of FIG. 1 , wherein the roof construction 10 is closed and the boom 6 is retracted so far in the boom bracket 8 until a stop 12 of the boom is applied to the boom bracket 8.
  • the boom bracket 8 is also tilted about the tilting axis 14 in the closed position, so that the boom 6 is pivoted against the mast 4.
  • FIG. 2 is the mast top in lowered position.
  • the boom bracket 8 has a housing 16 of two housing halves 16a, 16b, in each of which two rollers 18 are arranged, which engage in a left-hand and a right-hand guide track 20 of the boom 6 ( FIG. 3 ).
  • the guideways 20 are formed like a groove and have base surfaces 22 and side surfaces 24, with which the running surfaces 26 of the rollers 18 cooperate.
  • the boom 6 and the guideways 20 may be rectilinear or curved as in the present example.
  • the central axis 28 of the guideways 20 should not deviate more than 15%, preferably not more than 10%, of the thickness of the cantilever 6 from its central axis 30.
  • the lateral arrangement of the rollers 18 at the height of the central axis 30 of the boom 6 brings the desired ease. Depending on the length of the extension distance creates considerable pressure on the rollers 18. In order to avoid overloading of rollers 18 and treads, enough roll spacing is set up in the direction. Has proved a role distance of 7 to 15%, preferably of about 10% .der the extension length of the boom. 6
  • the rollers 18 with the guide contours 32 cooperate with edge contours 34 of the guideways 20.
  • the dimensions of the rollers 18 and the guideways 20 are designed such that, depending on the direction of force, the rollers 18 can act only as running and guiding rollers, as in FIG FIG. 5a shown, or as a braking or locking means, as in FIG. 6a shown.
  • the rollers 18 function as pure running and guiding rollers according to FIG. 5a when they are predominantly loaded transversely to their axis 37.
  • FIGS. 5b and 6b An alternative - but basically equivalent - embodiment of the rollers and the guide contours is in the FIGS. 5b and 6b shown.
  • the boom bracket 8 has a locking device 40 which includes a dual function on the one hand for detecting and releasing the tilting position of the boom bracket 8 about the tilting axis 14 with respect to the mast 4 and on the other hand to secure the extended position of the boom 6.
  • the boom bracket 8 contains two mirror images trained wedges 42a, 42b, by means of a bolt 44 and a screw-on handle 46 against each other be braced and detachable.
  • the wedges 42a, 42b are disposed in the housing 16, which is arranged on a mast head 48, wherein the wedges 42, 42a for locking the tilting position between the mast head 48 and the housing 16 and for securing the position of the boom 6 between the mast head 48 and the boom 6 cooperate as follows.
  • the mast head 48 stops 50a, 50b, which limit the pivoting of corresponding stops 52a, 52b in the housing 16 of the boom bracket 8.
  • the mast head 48 stops 50a, 50b, which limit the pivoting of corresponding stops 52a, 52b in the housing 16 of the boom bracket 8.
  • the handle 46 In order to enable a change of the tilting positions, the handle 46 must be screwed so far that the cams 56 come out of the grooves 58a or 58b and can pass over the intermediate web 60 on the mast head 48 to engage in the adjacent groove for the other tilting can , By screwing the handle fixation is restored.
  • the wedges 42a, 42b each wedge surfaces 62a, 62b, on the one hand with keel surfaces 64a, 64b on the mast head 48 and on the other hand further wedge surfaces 66a, 66b, which cooperate with wedge surfaces 76a, 76b on a brake shoe 68, which is present on the boom 6.
