Abstract

The system has wires running in a longitudinal direction with a U-shaped support rail and supplying power and transferring control commands for a lamp (10). The lamp is connected to the support rail and has a support element for holding light sources. The light sources are formed by LEDs (20). The support element has light transfer-openings, where LEDs are arranged in light directing elements (22) of the light transfer-openings. The light directing elements are formed by reflectors and lenses.

Description

  • The present invention relates to a lighting system for luminaires according to the preamble of claim 1 and to a luminaire intended for use in such a lighting system.
  • A generic lighting system is, for example, from WO 01/91249 A1 the applicant known. The basic element of such a system is an existing metal, for example aluminum support rail, which is usually U-shaped and open towards the bottom. This mounting rail serves as a carrier element for the lights and provides the required for the lighting operation power supply available. For this purpose, run inside the mounting rail lines that allow in addition to the power supply and a transmission of control commands for the lights. Individual lights can then be attached to the DIN rail and connected to the appropriate lines, with a special feature of the above WO 01/91249 A1 known light strip system is that the lights can be mounted at any point along the mounting rail, as there is the possibility for contacting the lines at any point.
  • Accordingly, such lighting systems open up the possibility for the user to position luminaires in almost any desired manner. Furthermore, since a wide variety of types of lights are available, the system has a high overall flexibility, which is why it can be used for a variety of applications.
  • The luminaires or luminaire modules used in such lighting systems, which are also referred to as light bars, may, for example, comprise fluorescent lamps as light sources. The electronic ballasts (ECG) for operating the fluorescent lamps, which are often used in this case, are then arranged on the upper side of the luminaire module, so that they are arranged in the interior of the mounting rail after mounting. The light sources themselves, on the other hand, are located on the underside, in which case optionally further optical elements, such as transparent covers or reflectors, can be fastened to the luminaire module itself or to the mounting rail in order to influence the light output in the desired manner.
  • The present invention is based on the object to expand the possibilities for using such lighting systems.
  • The object is achieved by a lighting system with the features of claim 1 and by a luminaire for use in such a lighting system according to claim 10. Advantageous developments of the invention are the subject of the dependent claims.
  • The solution according to the invention is based initially on the idea of using novel luminaires in which LEDs are used as light sources. In contrast to conventional LED boards, however, in which the light sources are arranged on the surface of the boards, it is now provided that the LEDs are integrated into the lamp module. For this purpose, a support element of the luminaire, which is provided for attachment to the mounting rail, a plurality of light-emitting openings. In each case, at least one LED or a light-directing element assigned to the LED are arranged in these openings.
  • According to the invention, a lighting system for luminaires is proposed accordingly, with at least one U-shaped mounting rail and within the mounting rail in the longitudinal direction extending power supply and / or signal lines for power and optionally for transmitting control commands for the lights and at least one connectable to the DIN rail light, which a to be arranged on the support rail carrier element for holding light sources, which is provided according to the invention that the light sources are formed by LEDs, and wherein the carrier element has a plurality of light-emitting openings, in each of which at least one LED or the LED associated light-guiding element are arranged.
  • Further, the invention proposes a lamp for use in such a lighting system, wherein the lamp has a to be arranged on the support rail of the light band system support member for holding light sources and according to the invention the light sources are formed by LEDs, wherein the support member has a plurality of light-emitting openings, in each case at least one LED or a light-guiding element associated with the LED are arranged.
  • The inventive integrated arrangement of the LED light sources in the lights initially gives them a better look. A further advantage of this solution is also that now protected the light sources, for example, are arranged within the receiving space of the support rail. This is relevant insofar as now no longer the danger that the light sources are accidentally touched when mounting or dismounting the lamp to the mounting rail. Accordingly, there is no risk of injury, although usually the Power supply lines that run within the trunking of a lighting system, are permanently energized. Accordingly, a mounting or dismounting of the lamp modules is easily possible.
  • According to a first exemplary embodiment of the present invention, the LEDs can be arranged, for example, on the side of the carrier element of the luminaire facing in the interior of the carrier rail, in which case they project at least partially into the light-emitting opening of the carrier element. In this case, for example, a transparent cover can be arranged on the underside of the lighting module. Alternatively, however, it would also be conceivable to arrange the LEDs at a distance behind the light-emitting openings. In this case, it would be conceivable, for example, to form the light-guiding elements by means of lenses, which are then arranged flush within the light-emitting openings. Instead of the lenses, however, reflectors could also be used as light-guiding elements.
  • Preferably, a plurality of LEDs are arranged one behind the other in the longitudinal direction on the support element of a lamp. Through the use of differently colored LEDs mixed light of any hue can then be achieved by a corresponding control or regulation of the intensity of the individual colors, so that ultimately there is the possibility to achieve a variety of lighting effects.

  • Based on Figures 1 and 2 First, the basic structure of a lighting system will be explained. The figures show a system according to the WO 01/91249 A1 in which due to a particularly advantageous embodiment, a free contacting of the power supply lines over the entire length of the mounting rail away is possible. However, the present invention is by no means limited to such a light band system. Instead, the lighting modules according to the invention explained in more detail below can also be used in light band systems in which an arrangement of the luminaires is possible only at certain intended locations.
  • Basic element of the lighting system is a metal, for example made of aluminum U-shaped or V-shaped mounting rail 1, which serves as a support element for the various lights and provides the required for the operation of the lights power supply. The mounting rail 1 is fastened by means of fasteners, not shown, to a support, for example a ceiling or a room wall, wherein the open side of the support rail 1 is directed downward. The cover of the open underside of the mounting rail 1 takes place in those areas where no lights are provided by a cover rail 5. This is designed in their edge areas such that they can be snapped onto the underside of the mounting rail 1 without tools. Those areas of the mounting rail 1, which are therefore not closed by lamp modules, can be covered in this way by the cover rail 5, so that ultimately the support rail 1 is closed over the entire length away to the bottom.
  • The interior of the mounting rail 1 serves to accommodate so-called Stromleitprofile, which are formed by a plurality of plastic existing and composed wire support members 3, which are respectively arranged on the side walls 2 of the support rail. The wire holder elements 3 have a plurality of superimposed grooves in which wires 4 extend. These wires 4 are used both for powering the lights and for the transmission of - preferably digital - control signals. The storage of the wires 4 in the grooves of the wire holder elements 3 provides the required security against accidental contact with the live lines, so that corresponding accidents are excluded. By contacting the corresponding wires 4, the connected light can then be assigned a desired function, for example, the light can be used as an emergency light. For more accurate execution of the wire support members 3 and the entire lighting system is on the aforementioned WO 01/91249 A1 referenced, which should again be noted that the lighting system with respect to the design of the support rail and the power lines also be designed differently could. For example, it could also be provided that the lines run on the ceiling of the mounting rail.
  • The FIGS. 3 to 7 Now show views of a first embodiment of a lamp 10 according to the invention, which is to be used in the lighting system. The luminaire 10 has an elongate carrier element 11 which serves as a carrier for the various components of the luminaire 10 and corresponds approximately to the cover rail 5 in terms of its shape. As in particular the sectional view of FIG. 4 can be removed, in turn, the side portions 12 of the support member 11 are shaped such that it can be snapped onto the underside of the support rail 1. A mechanical attachment of the lamp 10 to the mounting rail 1 is then additionally by means of two contacting elements 15 which are rotatably arranged on the upper side of the support member 11. After insertion into the interior of the mounting rail 1, the contacting elements 15 can be rotated, wherein formed on the contacting elements 15 locking elements then engage in corresponding recesses of the mounting rail 1, so that an anchorage is achieved. Furthermore, the contacting elements 15 have a plurality of lateral connection contacts, which engage in the grooves of the wire holder elements 3 by twisting and come into contact with the wires 4. These contacting elements may in particular be designed to be height-adjustable, in which case reference is again made to the already mentioned prior art. An actuation of the contacting elements 15 takes place with the aid of provided on the bottom rotary knobs 16, which can then be sunk so that they do not protrude beyond the bottom of the support member 11.
  • At the top of the support member 11 further operating devices 17 are arranged, which serve to control the various light sources of the lamp 10. The operating devices may in particular be designed such that they make a control of the light sources in response to control commands received via the signal lines of the lighting system. In this way, the possibility opens, the lights of the entire lighting system from a control center to control.
  • According to the present invention, it is now provided that 10 LEDs are used as the light sources of the luminaires. These are arranged in the illustrated embodiment on a C-shaped support member 18 which is mounted on the top of the support member 11. It is provided that across the entire length of the lamp 10 away a plurality of LEDs 20 are used come, wherein the light output in each case via the LEDs 20 associated light-emitting openings 21, which are introduced into the support member 11, for example, are punched. Preferably, each individual LED 20 is associated with a corresponding light-emitting opening 21, wherein, as shown in FIG FIG. 4 the LEDs 20 are arranged at a small distance at the rear of the light-emitting openings 21. The light of each LED 20 is then emitted by means of an associated light-guiding element 22 in a desired angular range. In the illustrated embodiment, lenses 22 are used here as light-guiding elements, which are integrated flush in the light-emitting openings 21 of the carrier element 11 or protrude only slightly, such as the representation of FIG FIG. 4 shows.
  • The arrangement described above ultimately creates a luminaire whose underside is almost flat. This results in comparison to the classic lights, in which the light sources were basically arranged on the underside of the support element, new design options. Furthermore, the use of LEDs - if desired - opens up the possibility of emitting light in different colors, so that novel lighting technology effects can be achieved. As an alternative to the illustrated lenses, small reflectors can also be used as light-guiding elements.
  • Another advantage of the embodiment of the invention is that due to the integrated arrangement of the light sources, the bottom of the lamp 10 is free of electrical wiring and the like. A lamp replacement, in which the rotary knob 16 must be operated, is therefore not associated with the risk that inadvertently live cables are touched. This is important insofar as the current-carrying wires 4 within the support rail 1 are still under current during lamp replacement as a rule.
  • In the in the FIGS. 4 to 7 In the embodiment shown, the LEDs 20 were positioned at a distance from the light-emitting openings 21 so that they were arranged after mounting the lamp 10 on the mounting rail 1 within the receiving space of the rail 1. As shown in FIG. 8 However, it would also be possible to arrange a PCB 20 carrying the LED 20 directly to the back of the support member 11. In this case, the LED 20 protrudes through the light-emitting opening 21 of the carrier element 11. Also in this case, there is no risk that accidentally live lines are touched, since the LED 20 fills the light-emitting opening 21. In this case, it is further preferable to provide a transparent cover 30 which is elongate is configured and can be snapped onto the underside of the support member 11. In this case, this cover 33 can have a lenticular thickening 31 in the region which is arranged upstream of the LED 20 in the light emission direction. In turn, the light emission characteristic is influenced by these, so that here too the light of the LEDs 20 can be radiated into a desired region. The detachable arrangement of the cover 33 also brings the advantage that now differently designed covers can be attached to the support member 11. For example, it would be conceivable to provide different covers which differ with respect to the design of the lenticular thickening in order to influence the light emission characteristic of the luminaire 10 in the desired manner. The use of covers with a structured, for example lenticular surface would also be possible.
  • Ultimately, therefore, the present invention provides a novel lamp module for use in lighting systems, which allows due to the integrated arrangement of LED light sources appealing lighting effects and due to the flat design, the potential applications for lighting systems additionally expanded.

Claims (10)

  1. Lighting system for luminaires (10) with
    • at least one U-shaped mounting rail (1) and power supply and / or signal lines (4) extending in the longitudinal direction within the mounting rail (1) for power supply and optionally for transmitting control commands for the lamps (10),
    At least one lamp (10) which can be connected to the mounting rail (1) and which has a carrier element (11) to be arranged on the mounting rail (1) for holding light sources,
