Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a painting cabin designed for painting work of small and medium-sized repairs on vehicles.
  • the object of the invention consists of the development of a cabin with great versatility of use, which permits optimization of the operating times, which can be moved, and therefore can be used in different places of the enclosure, integrating all the necessary elements to perform the repair works.
  • Another system consists of a suction box installed in fixed manner incorporating paint and active carbon filters which are connected by a hose to a type of mask which is fixed to the vehicle wherethrough the contaminated air produced on painting is sucked.
  • the mobile painting cabin object of the present invention is applicable for the painting of private vehicles, industrial vehicles and others, and integrates in a single module or piece of furniture the repair apparatus, air suction and filtering means, drying means and lighting means, said module being equipped with roller elements which facilitate its movement and, therefore, its application to different vehicles.
  • the suction and filtering means which integrates the module comprise an internal centrifugal fan actuated by an electric motor, a suction screen wherethrough the air is sucked which drags the residual vapours and sprays for the action of painting, and filtering means which preferably comprises several combined filters and an active carbon bed which filter the air leaving it completely clean for its subsequent discharge into the workshop, normally through an outlet preferably located in the upper part of the module.
  • filtering means which preferably comprises several combined filters and an active carbon bed which filter the air leaving it completely clean for its subsequent discharge into the workshop, normally through an outlet preferably located in the upper part of the module.
  • it can have a fixed or extending plenum located after the outlet, preferably above the operator area, which will again filter the air and produce a vertical air current which will be again sucked by the suction screen.
  • the suction screen is integrated in the module and that it is accessible by opening a door which in closed position would totally or partially cover said suction screen.
  • this suction screen could be found suspended from an arm and/or could be extracted from the module.
  • the module incorporates internally the repair apparatus which comprises tools and materials necessary for the repair works such as paint gun, sander, cleaning paper, spatulas, solvents, paper, connecting hoses, etc, as well as comprising regulation, filtering and air lubricating apparatus which is provided to the sanding and painting machines, and a control panel.
  • the roller elements of the module may consist of fixed wheels and/or guides for their dragging by pushing of one or two operators, and some of these wheels can be motorized.
  • the repair operations in particular painting, are normally carried out with the suction and filtering means activated. Once this work is carried out the drying means is activated.
  • the drying means preferably comprises a drying screen, normally infrared, which can be mounted on an extending multi-scissor device, which is also suspended from a rotating telescopic arm which is articulated on the module.
  • the module may have a compartment equipped with a door which houses said infrared screen in non-use position.
  • the infrared screen is removed from the module after the opening of the corresponding door and, by the movement of the rotating telescopic arm and of the extending multi-shear device, is situated in arrangement opposite the area of the vehicle which one wants to dry.
  • the drying means can replace the infrared light screen by an ultraviolet screen or by other equipment the corresponding repair technique requires.
  • the lighting means is preferably materialized in a door equipped with a lighting screen, although said lighting screen can be positioned in another place of the module, such as the roof or in a telescopic arm.
  • This door partially covers the suction screen in its closed position. Once the door is folded, the lighting screen is switched on, illuminating the operator's working area, leaving the passage free at the same time for the inlet of air to the suction screen.
  • the operation thereof occurs as follows: the mobile cabin approximates the vehicle, an electric plug is extracted and another hydraulic one which provide the necessary current and air, the two front doors are opened showing the air suction screen, switching on the lighting screen. Then, the repair is carried out with the suction and filtering means in operation, and subsequently once the vehicle is painted, the infrared screen is extracted which is applied on the vehicle for its drying. Once the work is performed the infrared apparatus is collected, the doors are closed, the air and electricity hoses introduced in the piece of furniture are disconnected, being ready for transport to another working place.
  • the mobile painting cabin can be completed with a light folding seal which may be formed by transparent plastic curtains or of another material to create an enclosure around the working area, complementarily having, for example, telescopic or windable arms which support said curtains and facilitate their extension and folding.
  • a light folding seal which may be formed by transparent plastic curtains or of another material to create an enclosure around the working area, complementarily having, for example, telescopic or windable arms which support said curtains and facilitate their extension and folding.
  • the mobile painting cabin integrates in a single module (1), represented in figure 1 , the repair apparatus (2), air suction and filtering means (3), drying means (4) and lighting means (5), observing that said module (1) is equipped with roller elements (6) which facilitate its transfer.
  • the suction and filtering means (3) comprises an internal centrifugal fan (7), represented in figures 3 or 4 , which is actuated by an electric motor, a suction screen (8), as observed in figure 2 , wherethrough the air is sucked which drags the residual vapours and sprays for the action of painting, filtering means, not represented, which filter the air leaving it totally clean and an outlet (9) located in the upper part of the module (1) wherethrough the clean air exits.
  • the module (1) has a first door (10) which integrates a lighting screen (12), also open, which illuminates the working area, as observed in figure 3 in the painting stage, and a second door (11) which is open to facilitate the circulation through the suction screen (8).
  • the doors (10, 11), represented in figure 1 cover the suction screen (8).
  • the drying means (4) comprises an infrared screen (13) which is mounted on an extending multi-scissor device (14) which is also suspended from a rotating telescopic arm (15) articulated on the module (1), mounted so as to allow the multiple orientation of the infrared screen (13) for its opposition with the area of the vehicle (17) which one wants to dry, in the case of figure 5 the infrared screen (13) is in vertical position and in the case of figure 6 it appears in horizontal position.
  • Figure 4 shows the drying operation of a vehicle (17) with the infrared screen (13) in vertical position.
  • figure 1 shows the infrared screen (13) incorporated in the module (1) in the non-use position, with the telescopic arm (15) retracted, it has specifically been provided that the module (1) has a compartment (20) equipped with a door (16) which houses the infrared screen (13).
  • FIG 6 shows the module (1) with some elements which form part of the repair apparatus (2), such as regulators and air filters (18), the control panel (19), the other elements of the repair apparatus (2) being integrated inside the module (1).
  • the mobile painting cabin optionally incorporates a light folding seal (21, 22) which creates an enclosure around the working area, formed by curtains (22) and by arms (21) which support said curtains (22) and which facilitate their extension and folding.
