Description

The invention relates to a strapping machine according to the preamble of claim 1 for strapping packages with strapping, with a to umreifendes package about portal-like on two upright sides and a top band surrounding bow and with a slidable under a bottom of the package tape guide lance, the tape guide bow and the tape guide lance in whose moved under the package position form a looping around the package tape guide channel for the strapping, which is covered at its the package facing inner sides of an outlet of the strapping from the tape guide channel in the direction of the package gestattenden cover.

Eine solche Maschine ist aus US 3376 807 bekannt.Such a machine is out US 3376 807 known.

For strapping packages with strapping various techniques and equipment are known. One of the simplest methods is to put the strapping band - nowadays generally a plastic band made of polypropylene - by hand around the package and thread the two band ends into a hand-operated device, with which they are braced against each other and then firmly connected by means of a Reibschweißeinrichtung. In particular, when a plurality of packages are to be strapped, which are transported in succession, for example by means of a roller conveyor, strapping machines are used in which the tape no longer needs to be placed by hand around the package, but injected into a circulating around the package to be packaged band channel is, from the out then out in the direction of the package under brief opening of the band channel first covering the closure flaps or the like. is pulled out when the band ends are braced against each other.

In particular, large packages, which are, for example, machine parts, fabric balls or the like. can be often supplied to transport pallets of the strapping machine, the strapping should connect the package to be packaged firmly to the pallet, but without the strapping should be pulled around the bottom or bottom surface of the pallet. Rather, it is desirable that the strap is threaded through a gap between the pallet top and the lower Abstellkufen the pallet, which makes it necessary to open the band channel before the arrangement of the on-pallet package in the strapping machine at the level of the pallet and then at Reaching the desired position of the package in the machine to close to the circulating around the package band channel, so that the band can then be injected around the entire package around in the band channel and then tensioned and closed, the package firmly connected to the pallet becomes. To make such a strapping in a strapping machine, this is provided with a transversely to the package below this movable tape guide lance, which moves to the correct placement of the package-carrying pallet between the lower runners and upper support side and in this retracted state together with which the package portal-like overlapping band guide floor forms the circumferential band guide channel. After completion of the strapping the tape guide lance is then pulled out again laterally from the pallet and then connected to the strapping band fixed to the pallet can be removed from the strapping machine.

Since the tape guide lance must be inserted freely cantilevered under the package in the comparatively narrow space between the pallet top and pallet skids, it is necessary to give it a high rigidity, to prevent sagging or swinging during the process. For this reason, in the past, the required stiffness band guide lances have always been very heavy components that did not allow a high travel speed and especially large accelerations, so that both the entry and the extension of the Belt guide lance passed comparatively much time in which the package had to remain unmoved in place in the strapping machine. Although the actual strapping process, ie the shooting of the tape in the tape guide channel, the tensioning of the tape around the package and the welding, in a very short time, was the achievable number of cycles, ie the number of strappings to be performed on different packages per unit time, with a Such machine comparatively low. Particularly problematic was in the known tape guide lance in particular, that the required rigidity was reached only by a comparatively large height of the lance, which at the same time an even greater minimum height of the gap between the top of the pallet and pallet skids was demanding, through which the tape guide lance had to be moved.

The object of the invention is to improve a strapping machine of the type mentioned in that the tape guide lance can be pushed at high speed under a package, in particular in a pallet and withdrawn from this position again, without causing the risk of sagging of the lance or a Aufschwingens, in particular, the smallest possible height of the tape guide lance should be possible.

This object is achieved with the invention according to claim 1, characterized in that the tape guide lance consists of a cross-sectionally approximately U-shaped, open towards the package carrier profile, with a over the length of the band channel portion of the tape guide lance, preferably even over the entire Length of the band guide lance extending stiffening angle is provided, which is arranged over a partial width of the carrier profile between a first side legs and the lower connecting web of the carrier profile, wherein the cover for the band channel portion of the band guide lance on the upright side wall of the stiffening angle is arranged and extending parallel to the connecting web top the stiffening angle to form the band channel portion covered at a distance. This special structural design of the tape guide lance allows a particularly light, yet very rigid construction of thin-walled profiles or sheets, which at comparable, if not significantly better stability than in the known constructions significantly reduces the mass of the tape guide lance to be moved and thus and extending the lance greater speeds and in particular larger accelerations than in the previously known machines allowed. This high rigidity and low weight is also achieved with a very straightforward and easy-to-manufacture construction, in which the carrier profile is provided in its upwardly open interior at its one side leg and its lower connecting web with the asymmetrically arranged stiffening angle, which for example by application Laser welding can be done with the highest accuracy. Apart from the cover for the band channel and serving for their attachment elements, the band guide lance consists essentially only of two interconnected in a particularly advantageous arrangement of components, namely the U-shaped support section and the asymmetric, ie offset to one side arranged stiffening angle.

It has proved to be particularly advantageous if the lower connecting web of the carrier profile is provided in its laterally adjacent to the stiffening angle portion with distributed over its length arranged passage openings, on the one hand have the effect of further reducing the overall weight of the lance, the beyond but also ensure a smooth removal of occurring as abrasion from the strapping plastic parts or other contaminants that can fall from above into the U-shaped support profile. Such contaminants may also be abrasion of the objects to be strapped, such as stone, clay or concrete particles when strapping stones or roof tiles. Since such contaminants immediately escape downwardly through the passage openings out of the carrier profile, it is ensured that they do not accumulate in the profile and as a result may possibly hinder the proper functioning of the cover opening during clamping of the strapping band.

The cover of the band channel portion of the band guide lance can be formed in an advantageous embodiment of the invention of hingedly arranged on the support profile and / or the stiffening angle flap elements. A particularly easy to install and also very reliable embodiment results in so far as the flap elements create in their closed position with a first leg of the upright side wall of the stiffening angle and with a second, perpendicular from the first angle leg extending the top of the stiffening angle under training cover a gap forming the band channel. The flap elements can be kept in their closed position, for example by means of spring elements, wherein they open when tensioning the strap and the tape exit from the belt channel transversely to the tape longitudinal direction against the action of the springs and close immediately after the exit of the tape again. The spring elements may consist of arranged between the flap elements and the second side legs of the carrier profile springs, which hold the first leg of the flap elements against the upright side wall of the stiffening angle, as long as the band does not press as a result of the clamping operation from below against the second leg of the flap element and this opens up. In order to keep the springs reliably in place and to provide them a kinking of the springs preventing guidance, can be provided transversely to the side walls extending arranged, the flap elements with clearance passing through guide pins for the compression springs.

Preferably, the tape guide lance is provided at the end portions of the band channel formed by her Bandumlenkelementen for connection to the tape guide bow, which reliably deflect the strapping tape inserted into the band channel in the lower corner regions of the band channel. It is particularly advantageous if the Bandumlenkelemente are interchangeable, because then they can be optimally adapted not only for different bandwidths, but it is also possible in a simple manner, the Bandumlauf- or Einschußrichtung by replacing the suitably bolted to the lance Bandumlenkelemente for the one - or discontinuation to change.

Fig. 1 shows a package 10, which is arranged on a pallet 11 and secured on this with two straps 12. The strapping bands extend in a direction Q transverse to the longitudinal direction L of the package. They run along the upper side 13 and the two upright side surfaces 14, 15 of the package and are guided on its underside by located in the pallet 11 piercing openings 16 so that they hold the package firmly with the pallet. The puncture apertures generally have a height dimensioned to allow the fork of a forklift to be inserted into it to lift and transport the pallet with the package secured thereon and secured by the strapping bands.

To produce the strapping 12 on the in Fig. 1 The package shown serves the strapping machine, which simplifies something in Fig. 2 is shown. The strapping machine 17 has a rectangular machine frame 18, whose upstanding posts 19 at a distance are connected to each other on machine foundation beam 20. Between the two foundation beams, a roller conveyor 21 is provided on which the package 10 is transported in the longitudinal direction in the strapping machine and transported out again after completion of the strapping.

To produce the strapping the strapping machine is provided in a known manner with an arranged in the machine frame tape guide bow 22 which surrounds the package 10 like a portal on the two upright side surfaces 14, 15 and the top 13 and the three sides of a circumferential band channel forms, in which the strapping injected in a manner not shown and can be placed around the package around. To complete the band channel at the bottom of the package, the machine has a transverse to the longitudinal direction slidably arranged tape guide lance 23, which forms the running under the underside of the package band channel portion in the inserted under the package through the piercing opening 16 in the pallet position of the tape guide lance completed the tape guide arc to the circulating band channel. The tape guide lance 23 is located in a rest position laterally next to the machine so that it does not hinder the unimpeded transport of the pallet with the package arranged thereon. When the package has reached the desired position in the machine in which it is to be strapped, the tape guide lance 23 moves from the side through the corresponding piercing opening 16 in the pallet under the package until it reaches its end position in which the tape guide channel to the Package is completely closed and the tape can then be injected into these in the known manner.

The special design of the tape guide lance 23, which is to be pulled out with the highest possible speed under the package through the puncture hole in the pallet and out of this again and must be particularly stiff because of the freikragenden arrangement, so as not to sag during their extension and retraction , is the subject of the present invention; she is in the Fig. 3 and 4 shown in more detail.

It can be seen that the tape guide lance 23 of a cross-sectionally approximately U-shaped, upwards, so the package 10 open toward carrier profile 24 which is provided with an over the length of the band channel portion 25 on the tape guide lance extending stiffening angle 26, the over a partial width of the carrier profile 24 is arranged in the interior between a first side leg 27 and the lower connecting web 28 of the carrier profile 24. To form the band channel section 25 in the band guide lance, the upper side 29 of the stiffening angle 26 is provided with a cover 30 consisting of a plurality of flap elements 31 arranged one behind the other over the length of the band channel section, which are essentially formed by angle plates which are articulated to the stiffening angle 26 are. The arrangement is such that the flap elements create in their closed position with a first leg of the upright side wall 33 of the stiffening angle 26 and with a second, at right angles from the first leg 32 extending horizontal leg 34, the top 29 of the stiffening angle to form the band channel cover forming gap 25.

In order to keep the flap elements 31 in their closed position, compression springs 36 are arranged between their first legs 32 and the second side leg 35 of the carrier profile, which hold the flap elements under slight bias against the stiffening angle. The compression springs lead around guide pins 37, which are arranged transversely to the side legs 27, 35 of the carrier profile extending and enforce the flap elements in associated holes 38 with clearance.

From the Fig. 3 and 4 is also clearly visible that the lower connecting web 28 of the carrier profile 24 is provided in its laterally adjacent to the stiffening angle portion 39 with distributed over its length arranged passage openings 40, which are interrupted only by comparatively narrow webs 41. At the one end region of the band channel section 25 formed by the band guide lance 23 (which in the drawing (FIG. Fig. 3 ) shown left) is the lance with a Bandumlenkelement 42 provided which ensures that the strapping tape 12 inserted into the band channel is deflected out of the band channel section in the band guide lance into the band guide bow 22 or out of this into the band guide lance. Dasa Bandumlenkelemente may be designed differently for the inlet and outlet of the strapping in or out of the tape guide lance. It is simply clamped with clamping screws between the two side legs 27, 35 of the carrier profile and can be removed and replaced with little effort hereby.

The inventive design of the tape guide lance, which consists essentially of simple, thin-walled sheet metal profile elements which are connected by laser welding and laser cutting processes processed, creates a particularly light, yet very stable, rigid construction, which allows the tape guide lance to move with high acceleration values and quickly underneath the package through the pallet to close the band guide sheet and out again after the completion of the strapping from the transport value. During operation, the passage openings 40 reliably prevent dirt particles, such as plastic residues or abrasion, from settling into the carrier profile 24 and clogging the free space forming laterally next to the flap elements. Plastic particles may be formed, for example, by abrasion from the strapping band 12 that is used for generating the strapping around the package from the band channel inwards (arrow 43 in FIG Fig. 4 ), wherein, due to the pulling force acting on the strapping band, the flap elements open as shown in dashed lines so as to close again immediately after passage of the band through the then open band channel under the action of the compression springs.

The invention is not limited to the illustrated and described embodiment, but various changes and additions are conceivable without departing from the scope of the invention. Thus, the cover of the band channel must not be made by substantially rigid, compared to the stiffening angle hinged flap elements, but it is conceivable here a flexible in itself Profile strip made of a rubber-like material, plastic or the like. provide, which then does not have to be divided over the length of the band channel section. It is also readily conceivable to provide the strapping machine with a plurality of strapping stations of the type described, for example, if it is desired, two strapping as in Fig. 1 shown at the same time to produce the package. The machine can also allow in a known manner a rotation of the package located on the pallet in the region of the strapping station, in order thereby to be able to place a further strapping over the end faces of the package.
