Definitions
- the invention relates to a dishwasher with a rinsing container and a drying device, which comprises a sorption column with a reversibly dehydratable desiccant, with an air circuit through the rinsing container and the drying device and with a temperature detection of the circulating air.
- the invention also relates to a drying method for dishwashers with a drying device and an air circuit between it and the washing container, in which a temperature profile of the circulating air is detected and drying is terminated when a predefined value is reached.
- Dishwashers with a drying device can have a reversibly dehydratable drying agent as a water-absorbing material. They adopt a characteristic of the zeolite which emits heat when absorbed by water as a result of the uptake reaction. The more water the zeolite absorbs, the higher its temperature increases. This circumstance can be used to detect the moisture content in the air circulation of the dishwasher and thus the degree of dryness of the dishes.
- a control of the drying process which is based on the detection of the temperature and thus indirectly on the humidity is much more accurate than a time control, since it is based on the actual drying conditions in the dishwasher. These can vary greatly, for example, due to a different or dense loading of the dishwasher.
- a flow control of this kind is for example in the DE 10 2005 004 097 A1 described. Furthermore, from the DE 10 2005 004 097 A1 it is known to detect the temperature as close as possible to the heat source, ie downstream of the sorption column or in the water-absorbing material itself. However, the high temperatures prevailing there necessitate more expensive temperature sensors designed for this purpose.
- a temperature sensor which is arranged in the flow direction of air circulating in the air circulation before the drying device and behind the washing.
- the invention turns away from the o.g. Prior art known detection of the temperature in the zeolite, or downstream of the sorption, but detects them before. It makes use of the fact that there is a closed air circulation in the dishwasher, which is not subject to significant temperature loss.
- a temperature sensor in the air circuit for temperature detection of the circulating air can be used.
- the temperature sensor may be a particularly inexpensive standard component, e.g. a PTC or an NTC resistor with a non-linear characteristic, whose mounting and integration in the controller is not difficult.
- any other suitable temperature sensor may be used, such as e.g. linear temperature-dependent resistors or Peltier elements.
- Dishwashing machines with zeolite drying generally have a fan for maintaining the flow of air from the washing container into the sorption column and back. You can also have an additional heating, if z. B. the heat output from the sorption should not be sufficient.
- an additional NTC resistor can also be arranged in the washing compartment to directly detect the local temperature.
- an NTC resistor is also not a significant cost factor, so that its use does not make the production of the dishwasher appreciably more expensive.
- At least one temperature sensor can cooperate with a control device for fault location, and preferably the temperature sensor cooperate with a control device for drying control. If, for example, the fan fails, there is a significant increase in temperature due to the lack of cooling air flow on the NTC resistor. Conversely, the NTC resistor can detect a drop in temperature if, for example, the heater stops working. The corresponding signal of the NTC resistor can then be processed in a control device as an error signal.
- an NTC resistor can serve both for controlling the drying and for detecting errors.
- the NTC resistor can be arranged both in the washing compartment and before or after the fan and, if appropriate, in front of a heater, but in any case upstream of the sorption column. Due to the multiple function of the same NTC resistor, an assembly and cost saving can be achieved.
- the stated object is achieved according to the invention in the above-mentioned drying process also in that the temperature of circulating air in the air circuit is detected before the drying device and behind the washing.
- the temperature of circulating air in the air circuit is detected before the drying device and behind the washing.
- discrete sections of the temperature profile are assigned different degrees of drying. They can be used to define an optional premature end of the drying process become. As a result, different drying results can be achieved and the user can be offered additional options.
- the temperature profiles of different drying processes all have a characteristic course. He deviates only in small bandwidths from those of others. According to a further advantageous embodiment of the method according to the invention, deviations in the temperature profile can be evaluated for error control. Thus, if significant deviations from the characteristic temperature profile occur, malfunctions of, for example, the fan can be assumed. They can be processed by a control of the dishwasher to an error message.
- the temperature profiles of the other cleaning processes can also be detected and monitored according to the same principle.
- a drop in temperature during rinsing may, for example, indicate a failure of an additional heater with which the air and with it the rinsing liquor can be additionally heated.
- An increase during rinsing can also be due to the failure of the fan.
- the evaluation of the detected temperature data is used both for controlling the drying and for detecting errors.
- the cost of both the device and the control of the dishwasher can be reduced to save costs.
- the temperature profile detected for the control of the drying process can also be used for fault location, so that a separate temperature detection can be saved as a function check for the fan or the heater.
- the Figures 1 and 2 show in principle the relevant for the invention aggregates of a dishwasher. Accordingly, it comprises a rinsing container 1, under which a fan 3, an additional heater 5 and a drying device 7 are arranged with a sorption column 19, wherein in the sorption column 19, a reversible dehydratable desiccant 21 is present. They are successively traversed by air, which transports a connecting them air duct 9 in an air circuit (shown by arrows).
- the air line 9 branches off at an intake opening 11 from the washing container 1 and first flows into the fan 3. Its section upstream of the fan 3 is designated A.
- the section B of the air duct 9 extends downstream of the fan 3 and upstream of the auxiliary heater 5. Downstream of the additional heater 5 and upstream of the sorption column extends its section C and downstream of the sorption column up to an injection opening 13 in the washing compartment 1 extends the section D of the air line 9th
- a temperature sensor according to the prior art has hitherto been arranged either in the sorption column 7 itself or downstream, ie between the sorption column 7 and the injection opening 13 in the section D of the air line 9. Due to the high temperatures occurring in the absorption of water in the absorption column 7 also had the temperature sensor should be designed accordingly.
- FIG. 3 An exemplary temperature profile recorded by such a temperature sensor is shown in FIG. 3 represented as curve U. It runs in a coordinate system with the time t as the abscissa and the temperature T as the ordinate. At the beginning of the drying at time a, it first rises sharply until, after a relatively short time, it reaches a vertex at time b and initially strives towards a characteristic temperature ⁇ 'with a large and, later, a lesser gradient. At this temperature, the items to be washed can be assumed to be completely dry. Upon reaching the temperature ⁇ 'at time c, the drying process is therefore terminated.
- an NTC resistor 15 is now arranged as a temperature sensor in section A of the air line 9 immediately behind the suction port 11.
- the temperature of the air measured there is already much cooler than when entering the washing container 1, because on the one hand gives energy to the items to be washed and on the other hand has absorbed moisture from the washing compartment during the drying process.
- this shows the curve V, which tends to the lower characteristic temperature ⁇ .
- a simple NTC resistor can be used which does not represent a significant cost factor as a standard component.
- the NTC resistor 15 is also located in a mechanically protected area, so that it can not be accidentally damaged by improper operation, for example when loading the dishwasher. At the same time, however, it detects very well the mean temperatures prevailing in the washing container 1, since the entire air content of the washing container 1 is passed through the suction opening 11 and thus past it.
- An exemplary temperature profile of the NTC resistor 15 shows FIG. 3 It has, in principle, the same characteristic curve as the curve U ascertained according to the prior art. It is shifted parallel to the prior art only in the direction of the ordinate downwards, followed by the lower temperature level at the location of the NTC Resistance 15 reveals.
- FIG. 2 differs from the dishwasher according to FIG. 1 merely in that now an NTC resistor 17 in the section B, that is arranged downstream of the fan 3 and upstream of the additional heater 5 in the air line 9. Since the NTC resistor 17 as well as the NTC resistor 15 according to FIG. 1 upstream of the two heat sources of the air circuit, namely the auxiliary heater 5 and the sorption column 7 is located, the temperature profile measured by him results in principle the same curve T according to FIG. 3 , However, the arrangement of the NTC resistor 17 in section B can be used in addition to monitoring the function of the additional heater 5 and / or in particular of the fan 3.
- the additional heater 5 fails, the temperature level drops and deviates more and more from the characteristic temperature profile. This concerns especially the phase of the rinsing, which in FIG. 3 not shown.
- the NTC resistor 17 can also be used to check the function of the fan 3, since it detects the temperature immediately downstream of the fan and upstream of the two heat sources, the auxiliary heater 5 or the sorption column 7. During operation of the fan, therefore, the cooled air flows from the washing container 1 past the NTC resistor 17 and reaches the additional heater 5 or the sorption column 7, in which it is reheated. Conversely, if the fan 3 fails, the air circulation in the air line 9 and through the washing container 1 also comes to a standstill. Nevertheless, the sorption column 7 continues to emit heat. Due to the lack of air flow at the NTC resistor 17 and the continued heating of the now standing air, the temperature at the NTC resistor 17 also increases.
- An exemplary course shows the FIG. 3 as a curve W. This deviation from the characteristic curve of the curve V is detected by the control device and processed into a fault message for the area of the air circuit.

Description
In
