Definitions

  • the invention relates to a tape application method and a tape applicator with the features in the preamble of the method and device main claim.
  • the DE 102 35 784 A1 shows a tape applicator for multi-layer tapes, which consist of a double-sided adhesive tape and a shroud.
  • the device has a frame, two tape rolls for the multi-layer tape and the peeled cover tape and a tape guide and a pressing device for pressing the adhesive tape to a substrate.
  • the pressing device has a single rotatable pressure roller which presses the multi-layer tape against the ground. At the pressure point, the adhesive tape and the shroud are separated from each other, wherein the shroud is then subsequently continued to his tape roll.
  • the US 2002/0189746 A1 teaches another tape applicator for two-ply tapes.
  • the double-layered tape is guided over an oblique guide shoe to a single pressure roller and pressed by this on the ground.
  • the shroud is released from the deposited adhesive tape and guided over the pressure roller directly to a winding away.
  • About an adjacent second role is an additional pressing of the exposed adhesive tape on the ground instead.
  • the pressure roller pivots upwards on a pivot arm, whereby the guide shoe comes into operation with a front deflecting edge.
  • the shroud is detached and led away, wherein immediately thereafter a rotating cutting knife cuts through the exposed adhesive tape.
  • the second pressure roller acts directly on the sticky surface of the adhesive tape.
  • the multi-layer tape is guided over a pressure roller on which the cover tape is subsequently released from the deposited double-sided adhesive tape and removed.
  • the double-sided adhesive tape remains on the substrate and is pressed in direct contact with another pressure roller.
  • the invention solves this problem with the features in the method and device main claim.
  • the claimed tape application technique has the advantage that it is suitable for all types of multi-layer tapes. It is able to apply arbitrarily long and especially very short pieces of tape to the substrate, which is not possible with the known device.
  • the claimed tape applicator is in terms of of the desired image and highly flexible and has a very wide range of applications.
  • the shroud can be partially detached from the adhesive tape and led away.
  • the thus released adhesive tape can be cut at this point and brought to the desired length. This facilitates the separation process, which can also be performed during tape application.
  • the shroud can remain intact during the cutting process and is easier to carry away and dispose of.
  • the adhesive tape can be pressed with its front side on the ground and fixed in position exact and safe for the tape order. At the Andschreibstellen the shroud can lie on the adhesive tape and prevent unwanted sticking the back of the adhesive tape when pressed.
  • a multiple arrangement, preferably a double arrangement of pressing elements provides for improved, very safe and gentle pressing and bonding of the adhesive tape to the substrate;
  • the tape applicator is thereby fast, reliable and very economical. This arrangement also offers other advantages.
  • the shroud can be detached from the adhesive tape and guided in a loop.
  • this offers the possibility of acting in the open loop area with a separating device on the exposed adhesive tape section held between the pressing elements.
  • a separating device on the exposed adhesive tape section held between the pressing elements.
  • the separator does not come into undesirable contact with the ground.
  • tapes can also be applied by machine to a mechanically sensitive surface. Such a separation technique is also favorable for a precise cutting of the adhesive tape and the possibly intermittent application of short adhesive tape sections.
  • the separating device can have one or more separating members, which can be adapted to different band properties.
  • a cutting knife with standing blade and in the form of a draw knife is suitable for harder and dimensionally stable types of tape.
  • a rotating cutter may be more suitable.
  • the adhesive tape is again carried out at the loop outlet under the second, in the feed direction rear pressure element and is in this case between the pressure element and the adhesive tape.
  • This avoids direct contact between the pressing element and the adhesive tape, which is advantageous in various respects.
  • an adhesive transfer to the pressure element is avoided when using adhesive tapes.
  • adhesive tapes may also have a reactive surface in another way, which remains covered with an inert shroud when pressed under both pressing elements and does not get into a possibly damaging contact with the pressing elements.
  • a fixing device for the shroud is arranged, which prevents further separation of the multilayer belt after separation.
  • the case existing residual path for pressing the cut adhesive tape end can be compensated in the loop area by a compensating device. Their compensation movement can then be returned again when resuming the application operation.
  • the claimed tape application technique is suitable for all types of multi-layer tapes.
  • the adhesive tape can be self-adhesive and have one or two adhesive surfaces. On the other hand, it may also be otherwise bonded to the ground by e.g. an adhesive or other adhesive surface is arranged, on which said tape is pressed and then adhered there.
  • An adhesive bond can be made mechanically by way of a hook-and-loop fastener or the like.
  • the claimed Bandaufbringtechnik ensures a secure separation of the adhesive tape from the shroud and for a well-defined application of the adhesive tape in the desired length.
  • the adhesive tape is best protected and still brought with sufficient certainty to the desired connection with the ground.
  • the cut-off adhesive tape end is additionally pressed and fixed by the rear pressing element, for example a freely rotatable roller.
  • the claimed tape applicator is also characterized by its high operational reliability for automatic operation and in conjunction with a manipulator, e.g. a multi-axis robot, suitable.
  • a manipulator e.g. a multi-axis robot
  • the orientation and delivery of the belt application device with respect to the ground can be controlled and monitored via a corresponding sensor.
  • the process can be monitored and e.g. check for splicing error, ligament tear or the like.
  • the tape applicator also handles the multi-layered tape particularly gently.
  • the tape withdrawal from the first tape roll can be done by the pressure forces and the clamping at the application point on the ground.
  • the strip tension depends automatically on the feed speed of the device. It is sufficient to provide a separate drive only for the tape reel of the shroud.
  • This can be equipped with a tape winding upstream tensioner, such as a dancer, which also controls the drive. As a result, a process-compatible interaction with the fixing device and the compensation device can be achieved automatically.
  • the drive is also switched on again self-regulating when resuming the tape application operation.
  • the invention also makes it possible to mold or reshape the adhesive or adhesive tape applied to the substrate.
  • a shaped body or form roller arrangement can be provided.
  • any contour adjustments are possible.
  • the shroud can be returned to the already deposited adhesive tape and temporarily placed here.
  • subsequent pressing element in particular a freely rotatable pressure roller
  • the shroud can be detached again after the molding of the deposited adhesive tape and returned to the shroud wrap.
  • the deposited adhesive tape can additionally be pressed on the ground again.
  • the invention relates to an application device (1) for multilayer strips (2, 3) together with operating methods.
  • a tape applicator (1) is shown for example in the drawings of FIGS. 1 to 10 presented in two variants.

  • the adhesive tape (2) does not have to be self-adhesive.
  • an adhesive tape (2) is understood to mean any type of tape which, after application, adheres in any way to a substrate (4) or receives another positional relationship to the substrate (4).
  • the adhesive effect can in this case on one side of the substrate (4) or on both sides of the substrate (4) and adhesive tape (2) go out.
  • the adhesive effect can be achieved in any manner, for example by an adhesive bond, by adhesion, by mechanical entanglement or crosslinking or the like.
  • the shroud (3) consists for example of an inert material, and is formed in the embodiment shown as a silicone strip or the like. The shroud (3) has a lower adhesive force to adhesive tape in double-sided adhesive tapes (2) (2) as the underground (4).
  • the shroud (3) can be loosened in places and removed during the tape application of the adhesive tape (2). At this point, the exposed adhesive tape (2) without damage to the shroud (3) are severed.
