Description

The present invention relates to a garment, in particular for protective and or military purposes, such as ABC protective suit or the like, according to the preamble of claim 1.

Persons in contact with toxic substances that can be absorbed through the respiratory tract must protect themselves against these toxins by wearing a respirator. Moreover, if there is a risk that the toxic substances may also be absorbed or absorbed through the skin, or if this is technically necessary, these persons (eg soldiers, firefighters, police officers, members of special units such as the GSG 9 etc.) in addition wear protective clothing, in particular NBC protective suits, which avoid contact of the toxins with the skin or the body and are usually equipped with a hood. The hood of such ABC protective suits can have a circumferential, in particular elastic seam for forming a visual field opening, which is provided for receiving the respiratory mask, wherein the hem of the hood is intended to be applied to the respirator in the state of use.

The prior art uses conventional protective suits, such as ABC or chemical protective suits, with a separate respirator. Depending on the type of respirator and softness of the material of the suit, it can be very complicated and difficult to ensure a secure seal between the suit and the respirator, especially during extreme head movements.

Dies kann folglich dazu führen, daß giftige bzw. gefährliche Stoffe durch den nicht ausreichend abgedichtetenIn the prior art, therefore, there is the problem that the transition from the hood or hem on the one hand and respirator on the other hand is not sufficiently sealed in most cases. Consequently, this can lead to toxic or hazardous substances being insufficiently sealed

B. Senfgas (Bis-(2-chlorethyl)sulfid, auch Lost genannt).Transition between the hood or hem on the one hand and respirator on the other hand can pass and consequently the wearer of such a protective suit comes into contact with these substances or these substances can even get under the edge of the respirator, so that they are finally inhaled. This is particularly dangerous for the wearer of such a protective suit when exposed to so-called skin toxins, such as. B. Mustard gas (bis (2-chloroethyl) sulfide, also called Lost).

As regards the transition between the hood on the one hand and the respirator on the other hand, proposals have been made in the prior art to improve this or to increase its tightness: So relates to the applicant itself DE 103 27 994.6 and belonging to the same patent family PCT / EP 2004/004932 a hood with a visual field opening for receiving a respirator, wherein the hood has a seam which has a plurality of circumferential sealing elements in the form of elasto fibers. Due to the elastofibres a sealing concern of the hood to the respirator is to be made possible. Such a design already ensures a relatively high density in the transition region, but it can come in particular under extreme conditions, for example in strong head movements to a slipping of the hood or wrinkling in the region of the sealing elements, so that in this respect is not always optimal protection is guaranteed , US 2003/070211 A1 discloses a piece of clothing according to the preamble of claim 1.

An object of the present invention is now to provide a garment, preferably for protective or military purposes, such as ABC protective suit or the like, which mitigates the disadvantages described above or at least largely avoids. In particular, it is an object of the present invention, in such a garment, which in particular has a hood for receiving a respirator, the transition region between garment on the one hand and respirator on the other hand in such a way that this transition, at least largely sealed even under adverse conditions or strong mechanical stress is.

The above-described object is achieved by a piece of clothing according to claim 1 according to the proposal. Further, advantageous developments and refinements are the subject of the dependent claims.

A basic idea of the present invention is therefore to provide a permanent connection between the respirator on the one hand and hood on the other hand, in order to ensure in this way a permanently sealing transition between respiratory mask on the one hand and hood on the other hand, especially in the (edge) area of the visual field opening. This results in that in use or wearing state, so when wearing the respirator by a wearer, a permanent seal the transition between the hood of the inventive garment and respirator is achieved or the seal this transition is significantly improved, so that the wearer also is effectively protected from toxic substances under extreme conditions of use and heavy physical activity or stress.

It is particularly advantageous if the hood is permanently connected to the hood at a hood edge, wherein it is particularly preferred according to the invention that the hood edge is connected to an outer edge of the respiratory mask. The hood edge forms, so to speak, the limitation or delimitation of the visual field opening of the hood. The connection between hood and respirator can thus be made in such a way that the hood and the respirator are each connected at the edges.

The connection between the hood and the respiratory mask is, in particular between a hood edge of the hood and an outer edge of the respiratory mask, circumferentially or at least substantially continuously formed along the visual field opening.

The term "circumferential" or "continuous", as used in the invention with respect to the connection between the hood and respirator, is understood in the context of the present invention such that the above term denotes a state in which the permanent connection is a closed Ring or circle forms, so to speak, along the visual field opening, in which respect it is crucial that the circumferential connection is at least substantially continuous, d. H. is not provided with channels and openings, so that a sealing connection between the respirator on the one hand and the hood on the other hand results.

Furthermore, the term "permanent", as it is used according to the invention with respect to the compound of the aforementioned type, to be understood that the connection between the hood and respirator of the garment of the invention at least substantially over the period of use or for the life of the invention Garment is guaranteed. In other words, the term "permanent" is also to be understood such that the tightness, especially against toxic substances such as chemical or biological poison or warfare agents, during the intended service life of the garment according to the invention is at least substantially not affected or not degraded, with the useful life may extend over a variety of uses, such as military missions. It is crucial that the secure connection over the entire period of use of the garment according to the invention is ensured.

The garment according to the invention can - as described below - for example in the form of a protective suit, in particular a ABC protective suit. It may be a one-piece protective suit in which the item of clothing according to the invention is, so to speak, an integral part of the protective suit or is firmly connected to the other parts of the protective suit. For example, the protective suit, in particular ABC protective suit, may be a so-called coverall in a non-restrictive manner. Likewise, the present invention also relates to such embodiments in which the protective clothing is in the manner of a protective jacket, a protective shirt or the like, in particular with a protective function against chemical or biological toxicants or warfare agents. Similarly, it can also be provided according to the invention that the garment according to the invention is detachably connectable to a protective suit, which will be discussed in more detail below. According to a further embodiment according to the invention, the item of clothing according to the invention may also be in the form of a particular separate poncho, the item of clothing according to the invention being able to be worn, as it were, over a protective suit or the like and covering it at least partially, in particular in the upper body region. The protective clothing can be both an undergarment (undergarment or underwear), which is worn directly on the skin in particular, and an overgarment (outerwear).

As discussed in more detail below, the essential advantages of the present invention reside in the fact that according to the invention with regard to the hood and respirator so to speak a one-piece garment is provided such that the hood and respirator are permanently interconnected. This leads to the great advantage that when using a quick and easy placement of the garment according to the invention is guaranteed, since so to speak, hood and respirator can be placed in one step, which represents a huge increase in security potential. In addition, due to the permanent connection between the hood on the one hand and respirator on the other hand, the invention ensures that slippage or wrinkling in the transition between the hood and respirator is effectively prevented, so that the compound has a high protective function against toxic substances, especially chemical poison or Warfare agents, even under severe chemical and physical stress, for example in the form of head movements during heavy physical activity. In addition, according to the invention eliminates a precise and (time) consuming alignment or adjustment of the hood with respect to the respirator.

The embodiments of the Fig. 2 and 5A-5C are not according to the invention. The Fig. 1, Fig. 2 . FIG. 3 and FIG. 4 show a garment 1, preferably for protective and / or military purposes, such as ABC protective suit or the like. The item of clothing 1 has a hood 2 and a respiratory mask 3, wherein the hood 2 has a hood edge 4 for forming a visual field opening 5, the respiratory mask 3 being received by the visual field opening 5. The item of clothing 1 is characterized in that - as in particular the enlarged view according to the Fig. 4 can be seen - the respirator 3 is permanently connected to the hood 2. In this case, the fixation between hood 2 and respirator 3 or the attachment of the respiratory mask 3 to the hood 2 can be ensured by a compound 13 which is specified in more detail below.

The Fig. 1, Fig. 2 . FIG. 3 and FIG. 4 It can also be seen that the hood 2 is permanently connected to a hood edge 4 of the hood 2 with the respirator 3. It can be inventively provided that the hood edge 4 - as in particular in the Fig. 4 shown - is connected to an outer edge 6 of the respirator 3. According to the invention it is thus preferred that the hood 2 and the respirator 3 are each connected to one another at the edge.

Like in the Fig. 3 1, it is provided according to the invention that the connection 13 between the hood 2 and the respiratory mask 3, in particular between a hood edge 4 of the hood 2 and an outer edge 6 of the respiratory mask 3, is formed circumferentially or at least substantially continuously along the visual field opening 5. It can be inventively provided that the hood edge 4 is formed in the form of a seam to prevent fraying of the hood 2 in the edge region 4. Due to the circumferential or at least substantially continuous connection 13 between respirator 3 on the one hand and hood 2 on the other hand, an effective protection against chemical poison or warfare agents is guaranteed, since the entire contact or contact area between hood 2 and respirator 3 fixed or permanently connected to each other and thus the hood 2, the respirator 3 completely surrounds with respect to its outer edge 6 and adjoins this. This ensures in a particularly effective manner that chemicals or chemical poison or warfare agents can not penetrate between the hood 2 and the respirator 3 in the direction of the head of the wearer, so that overall a very high protection results.

The FIGS. 5A, 5B and 5C show arrangements or training of the connection 13 between the hood 2 on the one hand and respirator 3 on the other. In general, it may be provided that the hood edge 4 the respirator 3, in particular an outer edge 6 of the respirator 3 overlaps such that in the wearing state a hood edge 4 of the hood 2 on the wearer of the item of clothing 1 facing away from the garment 1 is arranged. In other words, the hood 2 in the transition region to the respirator mask or ABC protective mask 3, so to speak, the outer layer, so that the outer edge 6 of the respirator 3 to a certain extent applied directly to the head or field of view of the wearer and thus seals the respirator 3 to the wearer.

The Fig. 5A shows an embodiment, according to which the hood edge 4, the outer edge 6 of the respirator mask 3 overlaps such that the inside of the hood 2 - so in the wearing state the wearer of the item of clothing 1 side facing - rests on the outside of the outer edge 6 of the respirator 3 or with this is connected, wherein the outer side of the outer edge 6 of the respirator 3 refers to the wearer in the state of wear of the item of clothing 1 of the invention side facing away. According to the embodiment of the Fig. 5A lie the hood edge 4 and the outer edge 6 of the respirator 3 in a sense flat to each other.

The Fig. 5B shows an embodiment, according to which the hood edge 4 is connected to the edge region of the respirator 3, that the hood edge 4 is folded so to speak, so that a cut edge of the hood 2 is covered from the outside of the hood 2. As a result, fraying of the hood edge 4 counteracted and the tightness can be further increased.

Finally, the shows Fig. 5C an embodiment, according to which the attachment of the respirator 3 to the hood 2 is such that the hood edge 4 - comparable to the Fig. 5B - Turned over, however, the compound 13 extends both through the folded edge region 4 of the hood 2 and through the opposite portion of the edge region 4. As a result, the durability or durability of the compound 13 overall can be further increased.

The FIGS. 6A and 6B show an embodiment according to which the outer edge 6 of the respirator mask 3 is formed with double-lobes and in this respect comprises an inner lip 7 'and an outer lip 7 ", whereby the outer lip 7" may preferably be peripherally attached to the outer edge 6 of the respiratory mask 3, and outer lip 7 "may be spaced from the inner lip 7. In other words, the respirator 3 is double-walled in its edge region 6 according to this embodiment and has with the outer lip 7" an additional connecting element, which is primarily for receiving the hood edge 4 and the hood 2 is determined.

According to the double-walled or double-lip configuration of the outer edge 6, it is preferred according to the invention for the inner lip 7 'to act as a sealing lip opposite the head, in particular the visual field edge, of the wearer in the wearing state of the item of clothing 1 according to the invention. The outer lip 7 "is according to this embodiment - as described above - thus preferably for receiving the hood edge 4, preferably by means of a connection 13. In this regard, it may be provided according to the invention that - as in the Fig. 6A and the Fig. 6B shown - the hood edge 4 is overlappingly connected to the outer lip 7 ", in this regard, all according to the FIGS. 5A to 5C illustrated fastening types can also be realized between outer lip 7 "and hood edge 4. Thus, it can be provided, for example, that the edge region 4 of the hood 2 is turned over.

The Fig. 6A Thus, an embodiment according to the invention, according to which the hood edge 4 in the wearing state on the side facing away from the wearer of the garment 1 side of the outer lip 7 "is arranged, while the Fig. 6B a preferred embodiment according to the invention shows, according to which the hood edge 4 between the outer lip 7 "and the inner lip 7 'is arranged and fixed on the outer lip 7" so to speak from the inside - ie on the support side facing the wearer side of the outer lip 7 " According to this embodiment, the hood edge 4 is enclosed by both lips 7 'and 7 "on both sides, which results in a particularly high protective function, in particular because the end edge of the hood edge 4 is additionally protected. Due to the double-lipped design of the outer edge 6, an improved seal, in particular between the respirator mask 3 to the head of the wearer can be ensured, in particular because the inner lip 7 'is free of connections and thus any break-through points are avoided.

As regards the connection 13 between the hood 2 on the one hand and the respirator mask 3 on the other hand, it may be provided according to the invention that the hood 2 is connected to the respirator mask 3 by means of sewing, weaving, gluing, stapling, welding or the like. With regard to sewing, for example, and in a non-limiting manner, those skilled in the art known per se, such as cross-stitch, zigzag stitch, overlock, flatlock, security stitch or stitch, chain stitch, double chain stitch and combinations thereof come into question. As far as the types of connections are concerned, they are well known to the person skilled in the art, so that no further explanation is required in this respect. Also, those skilled in the sewing thread or yarn types are well known. In particular, suitable adhesives, which are suitable as compound 13 between hood 2 and respirator 3, are also well known to the person skilled in the art within the context of bonding. In the context of the present invention, it can equally be provided to realize the connection 13 in the form of a combination of the aforementioned types of connection it is possible according to the invention, the connection 13, for example, and in a non-limiting manner by a combination of sewing and welding or sewing and gluing to ensure. In this way it is possible to produce particularly dense connections 13. Similarly, it is within the scope of the present invention, when the compound 13 has, for example, double or multiple seams, with combinations of the aforementioned Vernäharten are possible.

As the Fig. 1 and Fig. 3 show, it may be provided according to the invention that the hood 2 has at least one adjusting device 8 for adjusting the hood 2 and the respirator 3 to the head or on the face of the wearer of the garment 1 according to the invention. In this regard, it is possible in the context of the present invention that the adjusting device 8 in the form of a preferably adjustable band or in the form of an elastic band, in particular a rubber band is formed. In this case, the adjusting device 8 can be applied in particular to the hood 2 or integrated into the hood 2. Equally, however, it is also possible that the adjusting device 8 extends from the respirator mask 3 over the hood 2 and is fixed to the hood 2 and / or again to the respirator mask 3 in the manner of a setting device 8 running around the head. According to the invention, it is possible that the adjusting device 8 is attached to a plurality of positions or points along the garment piece 1 according to the invention, for example in the region of the side head, in particular the ears, the forehead, but also the back of the head.

Due to the at least one adjusting device 8, the garment 1 according to the invention, in particular the hood 2 and / or the respirator 3, can be adapted or worn sealingly against the head.

In the context of the present invention, it is preferred that the hood 2 and the respiratory mask 3 are made of different materials. Thus, it can be inventively provided that the respirator 3, in particular the mask body of the respirator 3, a particular flexible plastic, silicone and / or latex comprises. Due to the inventive concept of the garment 1 according to the invention, it is possible that For the respirator 3 particularly soft and adaptable materials, especially soft rubber materials, can be used, which has a positive effect on the comfort of the garment 1 of the invention.

As regards the material which can be used according to the invention for the hood 2, this may be a textile material in particular. The hood 2 may thus comprise a textile sheet material.

In order to prevent penetration of toxic substances, in particular warfare agents, and / or to ensure elimination of possibly penetrated into the hood 2 toxic substances, it is inventively provided that the hood 2 is completely or partially lined on its inside with an inner material wherein the inner material comprises an adsorptive material, in particular activated carbon, preferably in the form of activated carbon grains and / or activated carbon fibers. In combination with such an adsorptive material, it may be provided that the inner material comprises a water vapor permeable, at least substantially gas and / or air impermeable barrier layer, which prevents or at least delays the passage of harmful gases or liquids, in particular chemical warfare agents. Due to the presence of a barrier layer or due to the use of adsorptive materials in particular, a passage of toxic substances in the region of the connection 13 between the hood 2 on the one hand and respirator 3 can be effectively prevented. The Applicant has - completely surprisingly - found that even a compound 13 in the form of a simple seam is sufficient to achieve an effective seal between the hood 2 and respirator 3 with respect to toxic substances.

Diesbezüglich kann beispielsweise verwiesen werden auf die DE 198 29 975 A1 , die DE 39 39 373 A1 , die DE 38 15 720 A1 , die DE 195 19 869 A1 , die DE 198 274 A1 und die DE 102 40 548 A1 .As far as the interior materials usable according to the invention are concerned, which are designed with an adsorption layer and / or a barrier layer, these are known as such from the prior art. In this regard, for example, refer to the DE 198 29 975 A1 , the DE 39 39 373 A1 , the DE 38 15 720 A1 , the DE 195 19 869 A1 , the DE 198 274 A1 and the DE 102 40 548 A1 ,

Again Fig. 3 and the Fig. 7 it can be seen, it may be provided according to the invention that the breast 2 (breast flap, breast overhang) 9 connects to the hood, in particular wherein the breast member 9 in the wearing state of the garment 1 at least partially covers the chest area and / or the shoulder area of the wearer. Thus, in the wearing state, the breast member 9 is arranged on the breast side, so to speak. By equipping the item of clothing 1 according to the invention with such a breast flap 9, the protective function as a whole is further improved, in particular since this prevents toxic substances from penetrating the carrier, for example in the area of the neck. According to the invention it is preferred that the breast flap 9 with the hood 2, in particular in the neck region with the hood 2, is preferably permanently connected. In this connection, the type of connection known per se to the person skilled in the art, in particular also of the aforementioned type, can be used.

Again Fig. 7 can be seen further, it is inventively preferred that the breast member 9 with a clothing unit 10, in particular by means of a fastening device 14, preferably in the form of zippers, snaps, Velcro and the like, is connectable. The clothing unit 10 may be, for example, a protective jacket or a protective suit, in particular with a protective function against chemical toxins and warfare agents. Due to the fastening device 14 between the breast member 9 on the one hand and the clothing unit 10 on the other hand, it is possible to attach the garment 1 according to the invention detachably to the clothing unit 10, so that it can be easily removed, for example, after a (military) use - for example, for decontamination purposes can. In addition, an additional protective function is ensured by the fastening device 14 against chemical poisoning or warfare agents, since penetration of the toxic substances, in particular between the article of clothing 1 according to the invention and the clothing unit 10, is prevented. Due to the fastening device 14 Thus, a safe and aerosol-tight connection is guaranteed.

According to another, preferred embodiment according to the invention, can - as in the Fig. 8 represented - the garment 1 in a clothing unit 10 to be integrated, in particular wherein the clothing unit 10 connects to the hood 2. In other words, the item of clothing 1 according to the invention can be directly and permanently connected to a clothing unit 10, for example a protective suit, in particular as defined above, in which connection the abovementioned types of connection can be used.

In this regard, it may be provided according to the invention that the clothing unit 10 with the hood 2, especially in the neck area with the hood 2, permanently connected, as in the Fig. 8 shown.

According to one embodiment of the invention, the item of clothing 1 according to the invention can be connected in the aforementioned manner with a protective suit, so to speak on the back or in the neck region, wherein the item of clothing 1 according to the invention is provided in the front or chest region with a breast member 9 of the previously defined type. In this regard, it is possible that by disengaging the chest member 9 of the clothing unit 10, the garment 1 according to the invention is beaten behind the head when not in use, so to speak with the hood 2 and the respirator 3. In this way, a quick access to the garment 1 according to the invention is possible in the application, and the garment 1 according to the invention can be placed quickly and easily in such a case. As far as the design of the breast member 9 is concerned, this may vary within wide ranges. In general, however, the breast member 9 should be designed so that it extends the hood 2, so to speak breast side, so that the breast member 9 at least partially from at least the lower neck area and the upper chest part of the wearer or located under the garment 1 clothing unit 10 according to the invention - or covered.

An additional advantage of such a system is the fact that 9 through the breast member located in the chest area or that below the breast member 9 leads in the form of cables, such. As for laryngeal microphones or headphones, and / or hoses, z. B. for drinkers, gastight to the wearer of the item of clothing 1 according to the invention and / or can be removed, so as to allow communication or supply of the carrier, for example with liquid.

As regards the above-described clothing unit 10, it may be in the form of a so-called undergarment or undergarment. An undergarment is to be understood in a broader sense as underwear or underwear, so that the item of clothing 1 according to the invention can be combined both with clothing units or elements in the form of undergarments and in the form of outerwear. Thus, a combination of the item of clothing 1 according to the invention is possible for example with a coverall overalls. As far as the formation of the clothing unit 10 in the form of an overgarment is concerned, in the context of the present invention training in the form of protective jackets or complete protective suits is possible in this regard.

According to a further embodiment of the invention, it may be provided that - as in the Fig. 9 shown connected to the hood 2 a Rükkenelement 11, in particular wherein the back member 11 in the wearing state of the garment 1 at least substantially covers the particular upper back region and / or the shoulder region of the wearer. In other words, the back element 11 is somewhat positioned at the back in the wearing state. The back element 11, like the breast element 9, preferably has the same material as the hood 2.

As far as the back element 11 is concerned, according to an embodiment according to the invention, it can be permanently connected to the hood 2, in particular in the neck area with the hood 2, wherein the connection can be designed in the aforementioned manner. According to the invention it can equally be provided that the item of clothing 1 according to the invention has both a breast member 9 and a back element 11, the item of clothing 1 according to the invention then being able to be worn in a kind of poncho with the hood 2 and the respiratory mask 3 via a clothing unit 10, wherein the breast member 9 covers the front neck and chest region and the front shoulder region, respectively, and the back part 11 covers the neck, the back shoulder region and the upper back region of the wearer. According to the invention it can also be provided that the back member 11 and the breast member 9 are formed integrally in total, which further simplifies the production of the garment 1 according to the invention. Like in the Fig. 9 illustrated, the back member 11 may preferably be detachably connected to a clothing unit 10. According to this embodiment, it is thus possible that garment 1 according to the invention either completely removed from the clothing unit 10 or, for example, by loosening the front chest member 9 in the manner previously described on the back of the wearer can be folded or folded, where the connection between the back element 11 and the clothing unit 10 at least substantially remains. In other words, the garment 1 may be formed so that it can be folded away in the wearing state on the back of the wearer.

As far as the connection between the back element 11 and the clothing unit 10 is concerned, this may be effected by means of a fastening device 14 of the type described above, that is to say preferably in the form of zippers, snaps, hook-and-loop fasteners and the like.

As described above, it may be provided according to the invention that the item of clothing 1 according to the invention is designed as a separate unit independent of a clothing unit 10 or a protective suit, in particular wherein the item of clothing 1 according to the invention also comprises a breast member 9, as defined above, and / or a back element 11, in particular as previously defined.

According to a further embodiment of the invention, which in the Fig. 4 and the Fig. 9 is shown, the back member 11 may be connected to the breast member 9 via at least one connecting device 12, in particular via shoulder straps, wherein the corresponding connecting devices 12 should be flexibly or reversibly stretchable. In this way it is ensured that both the back member 11 and the breast member 9 in the wearing state closely abut the upper body of the wearer or the clothing unit 10 and thus a high degree of protection against chemical toxins or warfare agents is guaranteed.

As far as the item of clothing 1 according to the invention is concerned, it can be combined with a clothing unit 10 in the wearing state such that the clothing unit 10 covers the body of the wearer, in particular at the breast, at least up to the neck, in particular at least to the larynx area, and the item of clothing 1 covers the clothing unit 10 covered and / or overlapped in the region of the neck and preferably in the region of the upper thorax. In this way, as described above, it is in particular possible to additionally integrate, for example, supply or communication connections, in particular in the form of cables and / or hoses, for example by guiding the connecting lines between the item of clothing 1 and the clothing unit 10 according to the invention or be laid, so that in this way a supply or communication with the carrier is possible.
