Description

GEBIET DER ERFINDUNGFIELD OF THE INVENTION

The invention relates to a body armor for the shoulder joint zone according to the preamble of claims 1 and 3. It therefore consists of several hinged, anatomically shaped armor plates, in particular light metal, with a shoulder cap and a hinged thereto at the distal end of the shoulder joint cap or with a downwards curved extension having shoulder cap.

TECHNOLOGISCHER HINTERGRUNDTECHNOLOGICAL BACKGROUND

Generic body armor for the shoulder joint zone are known from German Utility Model 296 05 503. In this known body armor, the risk of injury when wearing the same has been prevented by pivotally connecting a humeral cap at the distal end of the shoulder joint cap to the shoulder joint cap by means of a pivot joint such that forward-backward pivoting and upward-downward pivoting of the humeral cap regarding the shoulder joint cap became possible. Additionally or alternatively, it was intended to articulate a collarbone cap on the front and a scapula at the rear edge of the shoulder cap by means of elongated hinges with the shoulder cap such that the collarbone cap and the scapula cap could perform forward-backward movements with respect to the shoulder cap. Such a body armor for the shoulder joint zone has proven excellent in practice for police guards.

DARSTELLUNG DER ERFINDUNGPRESENTATION OF THE INVENTION

The invention has for its object to improve body armor of the generic type to the effect that they can also be used by special forces, such as abseiling, prone and in similar applications, in which the upper arm must be brought close to the head, without any protective function losing.

This object is achieved by the body armor according to claim 1 or 3. Accordingly, it is provided that the body-shaped shoulder cap is made in two parts and on the one hand a body-shaped neck near base part and the other includes a body-shaped neck remote supplementary part, wherein the supplementary part relative to the base part is substantially rotatable along the mold surface. The base part serves for the articulated connection of at least one further front and / or rear cap, such as a collarbone cap and / or a shoulder leg cap, and the supplement serves for the articulated connection of the shoulder joint cap or has at its distal end a directed away from the neck of the person wearing , downwards curved extension.

By means of the invention it is achieved that the shoulder joint cap can be moved back and forth relative to the collarbone cap and / or the shoulder blade cap. Although the upper arm moves toward the protected person's head in the aforementioned extreme movements, the substantially horizontal one. Forward and backward pivoting the supplementary part relative to the base part (ie a pivoting about a vertical axis and not about a horizontal axis) surprisingly to a significantly improved functionality of the body armor in extreme applications. The protective function remains nevertheless in the previously known dimensions.

In order to completely preserve the protective function of the shoulder cap in the event of extreme displacements of the upper arm, the base part and the supplementary part overlap, preferably over all occurring angular ranges, when the supplementary part is rotated relative to the base part.

In order to facilitate the rotation of the supplementary part relative to the base part, the supplementary part has at its neck near edge an arcuate course, whose apex points to the neck of the person wearing out and wherein a hinge is arranged near the apex of the sheet.

In order to allow the shoulder joint below the shoulder cap greatest possible freedom of movement, the non-ridge edge of the base part has a recess, in particular in the form of a directed with its apex to the neck of the person supporting arch form on.

The rotatability of the supplementary part with respect to the base part can be achieved in various ways, such as the fact that the base part on the one hand and the supplementary part on the other hand in separate loops or pockets of a protective vest, in which the body armor is incorporated or inserted, kept separate. Since the protective vest made of usually textile material on all sides quite well walk-, crushable and foldable, take the various zones of protective clothing, the supplementary part with appropriate arm movements of the user person in a manner that corresponds to a twisting of the supplementary part relative to the base part. But it is also possible, the supplementary part and the base part by a joint to to make an approximately surface-normal axis twisted and connectable. Such a joint can be realized in a particularly simple manner in the form of a rivet connection used with sufficient play.

If separately held in loops or pockets of a protective vest, in which the body armor is incorporated or inserted for the base part on the one hand and the supplementary part, thereby the rotatability is achieved with high mobility. In place of the base part and supplementary part, the adjoining armor parts, such as a shoulder arm, a collarbone and / or a shoulder blade cap, can also be incorporated in loops or pockets of a protective vest for the aforementioned purpose (supplementary or alternative).

If pivotally connecting pivoting means are provided for the base part and the supplementary part, which allow a displaceability between base part and supplementary part in the plane of the form or parallel to it, a body size adjustment and / or further improved mobility is thereby achieved.

If an elastic, in particular textile, spacer or layer is arranged between the base part and the supplementary part, i.a. thereby improving the easy rotatability between the base part and supplementary part.

If the supplemental part has at its distal end a downwardly-bent extension away from the neck of the wearer, in place of or in addition to a shoulder joint cap, this will result i.a. the protective function improves with a simple structure.

The above-mentioned and the claimed components to be used according to the invention described in the exemplary embodiments are not subject to special conditions of size, shape, material selection and technical design, so that the selection criteria known in the field of application can be used without restriction.

DETAILLIERTE FIGURENBESCHREIBUNGDETAILED FIGURE DESCRIPTION

In the FIGS. 1 to 3 is a total of 10 classified body armor resting on the shoulder joint zone of the person to be protected and consists of a shoulder cap 11, a shoulder joint cap 12, optionally a humeral cap, and optionally a collarbone cap 15 and / or a scapula 16.

The shoulder cap 11 is in two parts and consists of a base part 11A which is close to the neck in the use position as well as a neck-filling supplementary part 11B. All armor parts are made of a plate-shaped material, in particular aluminum and are two- or three-dimensionally deformed, so that an overall ergonomic shape is achieved.

The base part 11A and the supplementary part 11B, which together form the anatomically shaped shoulder cap 11, are more or less close to each other, wherein - as shown and insofar preferred - between the base part and the supplementary part an elastic, in particular textile, spacer or layer 17 is arranged is. In the illustrated and so far preferred embodiment, they are pivotally connected together by a hinge means 14, such as a rivet or the like, in such a way that the supplemental part can be rotated relative to the base part along the mold surface. Here, the form surface is understood to mean the shape of the shoulder which is given to the shoulder cap or the surface resulting therefrom. Larger gaps between the opposing surfaces of the base part and the supplementary part are - apart from the spacer or - layer 17 - so at least not in the unloaded state. In the illustrated and insofar preferred embodiment, the supplementary part is based on the support person above the base part. A reverse arrangement is also possible in principle. The base part and the supplementary part rotatably connecting pivot means 14 after Fig. 2B allows a displacement between the base part and supplementary part in the plane of the form or parallel to it.

The supplementary part is in the embodiments according to Fig. 1A to 2B hingedly connected at its off-edge with a shoulder joint cap 12 in a conventional manner. Likewise, the base part is connected at its seen under use conditions leading edge with a collarbone cap 15 and at its trailing edge with a shoulder blade cap 16 pivotally connected in a conventional manner. These joints are not part of the present invention and are freely selectable.

The supplementary part is shaped approximately in the manner of a biconvex unbalanced lens, ie, it has on the edge facing the neck on a curved edge shape, wherein in 1A the hinge is located near the zenith. How out FIG. 1 A / B and 2A / B, the base part 11A overlaps the supplementary part 11B. This overlap can in the (in Fig. 1 A / B and 2A / B shown) zero position in extreme cases be 100%. Preferably, as shown, the overlap is less than 100%. Like out FIG. 1 A / B and 2A / B, the base part 11A preferably has at its distal edge a peripheral recess 13 which, as shown, is preferably bent towards the neck (FIG. 1B ) or polygon ( 2B ) and forms a free space for the joint of the support person, which may be padded by an overlapping elastic, in particular textile, spacer or layer 17. The remaining overlap of the base part and supplementary part makes it possible that even with extreme twists, no gap in the normal direction of the shoulder cap 11 between the base part and the supplementary part is formed.

Fig. 3 shows that the supplement may have at its distal end a downwardly bent extension 18 away from the neck of the wearer instead of or in addition to a shoulder joint cap.
