Description

Gebiet der ErfindungField of the invention

11.The invention relates to a modular body armor vest, a shoulder region protective element therefor and a fastening element for a shoulder region protective element according to the preamble of claims 1, 10 and 11, respectively.

Hintergrund der ErfindungBackground of the invention

Such body vests are worn by police officers and soldiers to protect the upper body against blows, punches, splinters and fragments from firearms explosions and / or bullets.

Es ist bekannt, derartige Körperschutzwesten modular aufzubauen. It is known to construct such body protection vests modular.

A modular construction of at least the west front and the back of the vest, which are klettverbindbar with each other via two shoulder straps and possibly lateral connecting straps, initially allows an individual size adjustment of the body armor to the respective carrier. Thus, the degree of overlap of the lateral connection tabs attached to one vest part can be selected with the other vest part depending on the hip and chest circumference to set the body armor vest narrow or wide. Also, the shoulder straps can be adjusted short or long according to the body size, so that the vest parts are always at the optimum height. As a result, body vests do not have to be purchased and kept in all clothing sizes. In addition, additional adjustment options are given within a clothing size.

In addition, a modular design allows the variable use of protective elements depending on the application scenario. In a police operation during a demonstration, e.g. Impact and puncture protection elements are used, while e.g. In a hostage-taking ballistic protective elements are used to protect against bullets from firearms. Ballistic protective elements can also be combined with impact and / or puncture protection elements. Shoulder protector elements, side protectors, crotch protectors, collar and / or larynx, etc. may be attached to the body armor vest in addition to chest and back protectors depending on the application scenario. The placement of protective elements is thus selectable individually and taking into account the respective threat scenario, in particular depending on the nature and the direction of the threat to be expected, e.g. in a police scenario from the front and an attack scenario for soldiers also from above and behind.

In particular, ballistic protective elements, however, require an overlap in order to provide optimum protection even with edge or oblique bombardment. Therefore, e.g. a ballistic shoulder area protection element overlap with a ballistic chest area protection element. The required overlap can be up to 5cm.

In known modular protective vests, however, arises due to the nature of the attachment always a gap, so that the body armor can not meet the highest safety requirements. In addition, such an overlap leads to a doubling of rigid protective elements in the shoulder area and considerably limits the freedom of movement of the wearer of the body armor vest. Furthermore, the freedom of movement is limited by the nature of the known attachment, in particular a textile shell, even in areas without overlap, since the shoulder area protection element is rigid and immovable relative to the body armor vest. Furthermore, in known body vests the shoulder area protection elements are always attached to the same place of the respective shoulder strap. If the shoulder straps are adjusted for a tall person long, this results in a different position of the shoulder area protection elements relative to the shoulder than short adjusted shoulder straps for small persons. Thus, the known body vests are disadvantageous in terms of adaptability. This also applies to body vests, in which shoulder area protection elements are attached to eyelets or the like at always the same point of a shoulder strap. Finally, these body vests lack the gapless overlap required for optimal ballistic, impact and / or puncture protection.

The disadvantages of the forced positioning of the shoulder area protection elements, in particular the restriction of freedom of movement and the lack of possibility of adaptation, are also liable DE 698 08 081 T2 and DE 296 05 503 U1 known body vests with fixed pockets, can be used in the protective elements to.

The US-A-4 497 069 shows a modular body armor garment, in which two shoulder straps connect a front part with a back part. Shoulder pads can be slipped onto the shoulder straps via loops.

From the US-A-5 060 314 For example, a modular body armor vest is known wherein the shoulder protector elements comprise fingers which are connected to the vest or back region of the vest.

From the WO 2007/024977 is an upper arm protection element for attachment to a modular body armor known.

Out DE 29605503U1 a protective element in the region of the scapula and / or collarbone is mentioned.

Accordingly, a modular body armor vest having a vest front, a vest back, a shoulder strap preferably completely bridging the vest front and back, which may be configured as a separate element or fastened to a vest portion, and a shoulder-belt shoulder-protective element for the shoulder may be provided of the scapula and / or collarbone in which the shoulder region protection element has a fastening element for detachable surface fastening to a portion of a fastening region extending along the shoulder belt. The attachment portion may be inside, ie facing the body, and / or outside, ie facing away from the body, may be provided.

The planar attachment at any position along a mounting portion formed along the shoulder strap, thereby allowing optimal positioning of the shoulder area protection element both in a long-set for large people shoulder strap as well as in a short-set for small people shoulder strap avoiding gaps , This leads to an ideal size adaptability of the body armor without impairing the protective function, since the shoulder region protection element can always be optimally positioned for the respective body size. Also, a centering of the fulcrum (center of motion) on the anatomical axes of motion of the wearer is possible. In addition, unlike attached shoulder protection element the recorded impact and / or shooting energy can be derived on the western parts and thus on the rib arches and the rest of the body, whereby the security is also increased.

The attachment area extends in all embodiments along the shoulder belt, i. in the direction of its fixed end to its free end, over the entire length of the shoulder strap or in a portion thereof, on the side facing the body and / or facing away, and is at least so long that the shoulder region protection element on at least two different Positions along the shoulder strap can be attached flat. The width of the attachment area expediently corresponds to the width of the shoulder belt.

For an optimal hold in interchangeability of the shoulder region protection element, the fastening element can have a holding engagement encompassing the shoulder region protection element or a section thereof. The fastener acts as an adapter, ie it is on the one hand to encompass a shoulder region protection member or a portion thereof and on the other hand formed for attachment to the attachment portion. Such an adapter can be used for a variety of differently shaped shoulder area protection elements.

Particularly advantageous is the embodiment of the fastener as a bag, in which the shoulder region protective element or a portion thereof can be used. Such a bag is easy to handle and keeps the shoulder area protection element safe.

Optionally, the fastener is fixedly connected to the shoulder area protection member, e.g. glued in the form of a Velcro or Flauschteils on the shoulder region protection element, or the fastener is flared at least in one section. This eliminates the need to form a separate fastener, vorzuhalten and each to connect to the shoulder area protection element.

In a particularly advantageous embodiment, the fastening element comprises a Velcro or Velcro part and the attachment area a Velcro or Velcro part. Velcro and Velcro parts are known to be particularly easy to handle, inexpensive to produce and durable fasteners.

In order to restrict the mobility of the person wearing the body armor as little as possible, the fastener may be designed to be flexible, which is of independent inventive importance. For this purpose, the fastening element can have segments. The segments, which are each formed as Velcro part and / or Velcro, for example, are as far as possible spaced from each other, but may also be adjacent and / or formed by dividing seams. In the area of the segment boundaries or spacings, a high flexibility results, in particular with regard to bending and bending. The fastener thus adapts optimally to the movement of the person wearing the body armor. In particular, a movement of the arms forward and / or up a comparatively low resistance opposite. The mobility is particularly optimized when the segments are triangular.

The attachment area can also be divided into segments. Particularly advantageous is a combination of triangular segments has been found on the fastener and rectangular segments on the attachment area. As a result, in addition to the mobility, it is also ensured that the respective segments always overlap sufficiently for optimum attachment to one another.

It is preferred that the shoulder strap is fixedly connected at one end to a vest part and has at its free end an envelope flap which is foldable towards the waist part and at the west part there is provided a fastening flap extending towards the free end of the shoulder strap extends substantially parallel thereto. In this way, an optimal attachment of the shoulder region protection element can be achieved.

In particular, this embodiment of the shoulder strap makes it possible to sandwich the fastening element between the shoulder belt on the one hand and the turn-up and fastening strap on the other hand and to hold it particularly securely both on its upper side (away from the body) and on its lower side (facing the body).

It is useful to define the flap side end of the shoulder strap at the other western part between a shoulder strap attachment surface and a shoulder strap attachment strap sandwiched by means of a Velcro connection, whereby a secure hold in adjustability of the length of the shoulder strap is made possible.

Further provided is a shoulder region protection member having attached thereto a fastener for releasable surface attachment to a portion of a fastener region extending along a shoulder strap of a body armor vest on the body on and / or on the surface facing away from the body is firmly attached, for example in the form of a Beflauschung or a glued Velcro or Flauschteils a Velcro connection. Such a shoulder region protection element is easy to handle and without adapter directly to a suitable body for the size of the wearer body of the body armor vest.

In a particularly advantageous embodiment, the fastening element is a Velcro or Velcro part glued to the shoulder region protective element. Velcro and Velcro parts are known to be particularly easy to handle, inexpensive to produce and durable fasteners.

Finally, a fastener for a shoulder protector for a modular body armor vest is provided. The fastening element has a holding engagement for at least partially encompassing the shoulder region protection element. As a result, the fastening element acts as an adapter between on the one hand the protective vest and on the other hand, a specific shoulder area protection element or a group of shoulder area protection elements, which it can hold around at least partially holding.

Particularly advantageous is the embodiment of the fastener as a bag, in which the shoulder region protective element or a portion thereof can be used. Such a bag is easy to handle and keeps the shoulder area protection element safe.

On at least one and possibly also on both outer sides, the fastening element may have a Velcro or Velcro part for an easy-to-handle and secure Velcro attachment to a fastening region of a shoulder strap.

Detaillierte Beschreibung bevorzugter AusführungsformenDetailed description of preferred embodiments

In the Fig. 1 by way of example schematically illustrated modular body armor includes a vest front part 1 and a Western back part 2, which are klettverbindbar with each other here on the west back part 2 provided shoulder straps 3 and optionally existing side connecting straps 4.

In the in Fig. 1a illustrated vest front part 1 is an at least over the chest and abdomen extending protective element, in particular a shock, puncture and / or ballistic protection element, incorporated or interchangeable used. A shock or puncture protection element may comprise a metal, plastic and / or textile element, which can withstand a predetermined impact impulse and distribute the energy associated with it over a large area. At a For example, a ballistic protective element is used for a Kevlar material which withstands the firing of a bullet from a firearm. Optionally, a metal element and a Kevlar material may be conveniently doubled up with the interposition of a spacer knit to ensure combined protection against impact and impact and / or puncture. Any protective elements can be used here.

In the neck region of the vest front part 1, shoulder strap extensions 5 are provided into which the protective element optionally extends and which each have a shoulder strap attachment surface 6, e.g. a Velcro or Velcro part have. Adjacent to each shoulder strap attachment surface 6 is in each case a shoulder strap fastening strap 7, which likewise may have a hook-and-loop or velcro part, in particular by means of a fastening seam 8 on the vest front part 1. Each of the shoulder strap attachment tabs 7 is foldable toward the respective shoulder strap attachment 5. In the folded-down position, each of the shoulder strap fastening straps 7 is located parallel to the respective associated shoulder strap fastening surface 6. The scallop fastening strap 7 and the shoulder strap fastening surface 6 can be of equal size.

This in Fig. 1b The back of the back 2 shown on the inside comprises two shoulder straps 3, which are illustrated here by way of example, each with an envelope flap 9 at their free ends. The envelope tabs 9 have a Velcro or Velcro part and can be folded in the direction of the inside of the west back part 2.

On the other hand, the shoulder straps 3 as in Fig. 1c illustrated to be designed. Thus, the cover tabs 9 may also have on the outside a Velcro or Velcro. Adjacent to the envelope flaps 9 attachment surfaces 10 may be provided as Velcro or Fluschchteile. Furthermore, the west back part 2 on its outer side further attachment surfaces 11 in the form of Velcro or Velcro parts for the lateral connecting straps 4 of the western front part 1 have.

In the area between the flaps 9 and in particular by means of a seam 12 on the west back part 2 fastened fastening tabs 13 may each have a mounting portion 14 along the respective shoulder belt 3, which is here in the applied state of the body armor inside, ie facing the body, provided, but in further embodiments outside, so facing away from the body, and in particular may be provided both inside and outside. The attachment area 14 may also be shorter than shown, i. be spaced to the respective flap envelope 9 and / or fastening tab 13. In the attachment region 14 here Velcro or Velcro parts are provided, which can be segmented and in particular, as shown, composed of spaced-apart rectangular segments 15.

Fig. 2, mittels eines Befestigungselements 17, 17', 17", vgl. Fig. 3, flächig an den Schultergurten 3 befestigt, vgl. Fig. 5, und der seitlichen Verbindungslaschen 4 verbunden. To create the in Fig. 1 shown body armor vest 1 is in each case a shoulder region protection element 16, 16 ', see. Fig. 2 , by means of a fastening element 17, 17 ', 17 ", cf. Fig. 3 , attached flat to the shoulder straps 3, cf. Fig. 4 , and then the vest front part 1 with the west back part 2 by Velcro the shoulder straps 3, see. Fig. 5 , and the lateral connection tabs 4 connected.

Shoulder protection elements 16, 16 'according to the invention are shown in FIG Fig. 2 exemplified. Other, in particular anatomically optimized shapes can be used.

The shoulder area protection element 16, cf. Fig. 2a , Is a total of elongated with rounded corners here, and it is expedient not wider than the shoulder straps 3. It can be designed as a one-piece metal, fabric and / or plastic part. Optionally, it includes a plurality of hingedly interconnected metal or plastic parts, which may also be overlapping. The protective member 16 may also comprise or consist of a Kevlar part or the like for ballistic protection. The illustrated protective element 16 serves to protect the scapula and / or collarbone.

As with the example of the shoulder region protection element 16 ', cf. Fig. 2b , illustrated can be protected next to the shoulder and the upper arm. For this purpose, the protective element 16 'on the elongated part in particular articulated fixed part 18, which is optionally formed according to the upper arm and may comprise a plurality of hingedly interconnected, in particular overlapping metal or plastic parts. The shoulder area protection element 16 'may additionally comprise or be made exclusively of a Kevlar part or another ballistic protection.

Other shapes and configurations of the shoulder region protection element are conceivable depending on the purpose. Thus, e.g. also be provided a part for the protection of the larynx. Also, a collar protection may be provided. It is essential in any case a section which can be fixed in the mounted state on the mounting portion 14.

Fig. 3c, verwendet. For the surface detachable attachment of the shoulder region protection element 16 on the shoulder belt, a separate fastening element 17, 17 ', cf. Fig. 3a, 3b , or fastening element 17 "fixedly formed with the shoulder region protection element 16, cf. Fig. 3c , used.

Fig. 3a, eingesetzt werden. For example, the shoulder region protection element 16 can be completely encased in a fastening element 17 designed as a flat pocket with a zipper 19, cf. Fig. 3a , are used. The fastening element 17 has on one or both sides of a particular segmented Velcro and / or Velcro 20, here for example in the form of triangles, which may be spaced apart as shown, or may adjoin one another.

In the shoulder area protection element 16 ', only the elongated portion on which the part 18 is hinged is inserted into the fastening element 17 formed as a pocket. The zipper 19 is then closed only so far that the part 18 is held firmly. Optionally, the zipper 19 divided into two here be, ie have a closing from left to right and closing from right to left closing part, between which the part 18 extends out of the pocket.

Instead of the zipper 19, any other element can be used with which the inserted shoulder region protection element 16, 16 'can be secured against falling out, twisting and / or slipping.

The fastener does not have to be bag-shaped. Rather, any configuration suitable for holding the shoulder region protection element is sufficient, provided that it can be fastened flat on the shoulder strap 13.

For example, a fastening element 17 ', cf. Fig. 3b , which engages around the shoulder area protection element 16, 16 'or a portion thereof, and has attachment means such as hook-and-loop fluff and / or hook-and-loop fasteners for releasable attachment to the shoulder strap 3.

Fig. 3c, fest mit dem Schulterbereich-Schutzelement 16, 16' verbunden. In a particularly easy-to-handle embodiment, the fastening element 17 ", cf. Fig. 3c , firmly connected to the shoulder area protection element 16, 16 '. This can be done by gluing a Velcro or Velcro, possibly segmented, on a corresponding portion of the shoulder area-Scutzelements 16, 16 'or by Beflauschen this section.

By means of the fastening element 17, 17 'or 17 ", the shoulder region protection element 16 or 16' is detachably attached to the shoulder belt 3 in a detachable manner, namely at a suitable arbitrary portion of the fastening region.

This is preferably done by placing the shoulder region protection element on the fastener on the shoulder belt 3, see. Fig. 4 , and then turning over the flap 9 and the fastening tab 13. The shoulder area protecting member thereby becomes sandwiched between the shoulder belt 3 on the one hand and the envelope flap 9 and the fastening tab 13 on the other. Conveniently, Velcro and Velcro parts engage both on the top and on the underside of the fastener in Velcro or Flauschchteile on the corresponding facing surfaces of the shoulder strap 3, the envelope flap 9 and / or the fastening tab 13 in such a way that a flat releasable Velcro connection is created.

Fig. 4 already illustrates that the shoulder region protection element 16, 16 'at several positions on the attachment portion 14 of the shoulder strap 3 can be fixed.

Fig. 5a. Fig. 5b. Thus, for example, the shoulder region protection element 16, 16 'can be fixed to a section 21 adjacent to the cover flap 9 of the fastening region 14, cf. Fig. 5a , This position corresponds to the longest possible adjustment of the shoulder strap 3 for tall persons, in which the shoulder area protection element 16, 16 'is aligned exactly centered over the shoulder of the user of the body armor vest. Exactly centered over the shoulder, the shoulder region protection element 16 can be fixed even for small persons, namely by being fixed to a portion 22 adjacent to the fastening tab 13, cf. Fig. 5b , The area between the sections 21, 22 is available for individual adaptation between the extremes.

In the Fig. 5 Illustrated sandwiching of the shoulder strap 3 on the vest front 1 between the shoulder strap extension 5 and the shoulder strap attachment strap 7 is merely exemplary. In particular, the shoulder strap attachment tab 7 is optional. Also, the shoulder belt 3 can be fixed to the inside of the shoulder belt attachment 5.

Fig. 6 shows by way of example and not limitation further possible embodiments of the mutual attachment, wherein the role between the west front 1 and the back part 2 is arbitrarily exchangeable and wherein the shoulder region protection element 16, which is only for illustration in a particular embodiment the fastening element 17 is shown, can be configured and attached as desired within the meaning of the invention.

In Fig. 6a an embodiment is illustrated in which the flap flap 9 is made so long that it overlaps the entire fastening region 14. On the mounting strap 13 can be omitted here. Optionally, a Velcro connection to a surface 23 on the west back part 2 is provided at the free end of the envelope flap 9.

Fig. 6b illustrates a shoulder region protection element 16 placed on the outside of the shoulder strap 3.

Fig. 6c illustrates a shoulder region protection member 16 sandwiched between a shoulder belt 3 of the back 2 and a shoulder belt 3 'of the vest front 1.

In Fig. 6d the shoulder strap fastening tab 7 is made so long that it extends beyond the attachment area 14 and can be hooked to the vest back 2.

In Fig. 6e the shoulder area protection element 17 is arranged on the outside of the shoulder belt 3.

In Fig. 6f is the shoulder belt 3 divided into a section 3 on the west front part 1 and a section 5 on the west back part 2. The two sections 3, 5 overlap each other. This embodiment illustrates that the length of the shoulder strap 3 can also be selected to be short if the length of the shoulder strap shoulder 5 is selected to be correspondingly long, so that both can fully bridge the vest front part 1 and the vest back part 2 with overlap.

Fig. 6g. However, complete bridging is not required, cf. Fig. 6g , Rather, a distance between shoulder belt 3 and shoulder strap extension 5 remain. In In this embodiment, the shoulder belt 3 is divided, a part being formed by the shoulder belt attachment 5, which thus becomes the shoulder belt. The vest front 1 and the vest back 2 are held together in this embodiment by the shoulder area protection element 16, which may be held in a pocket 17, directly or as shown.

As in Fig. 6h illustrated, the shoulder area protection member 16, whether as shown here with a Befetigungselement 17 or directly, on the shoulder belt 3, as shown here in two parts or in one piece, also be fixed inside and although as shown here without tabs 9, 13 or with.

The Velcro and Flauschchteile are expediently arranged in all embodiments that always a Velcro connection is possible, ie that a Klettteilabschnitt a Flauschteilabschnitt is opposite. Instead of a Velcro connection, other detachable planar connections can be used. The shoulder straps 3 can also be firmly connected to the vest front part 1 to be releasably connected to the vest back 2 via Velcro connections or the like.
