Zudem führt eine derartige Überlappung zu einer Aufdopplung starrer Schutzelemente im Schulterbereich und schränkt die Bewegungsfreiheit des Trägers der Körperschutzweste erheblich ein. Ferner wird durch die Art der bekannten Befestigung, insbesondere eine textile Hülle, auch in Bereichen ohne Überlappung die Bewegungsfreiheit eingeschränkt, da das Schulterbereich-Schutzelement starr und gegenüber der Körperschutzweste unbeweglich ist. Weiterhin sind bei bekannten Körperschutzwesten die Schulterbereich-Schutzelemente stets an der selben Stelle des jeweiligen Schultergurts befestigt. Werden die Schultergurte für eine große Person lang eingestellt, ergibt sich damit aber eine andere Position der Schulterbereich-Schutzelemente relativ zur Schulter als bei kurz eingestellten Schultergurten für kleine Personen. Mithin sind die bekannten Körperschutzwesten nachteilig hinsichtlich der Anpassbarkeit. Dies trifft auch auf Körperschutzwesten zu, bei denen Schulterbereich-Schutzelemente Ober Ösen oder dergleichen an stets der selben Stelle eines Schultergurts befestigt werden. Claims (13)
- Modular ballistic vest to provide protection against impacts, stabs, shrapnel and fragments from explosions and/or projectiles from firearms, having a front part (1), a rear part (2), a shoulder strap (3) which forms a link between at least a portion or portions of the front part (1) and the rear part (2) of the vest, and a shoulder-region protecting element (16, 16') for the shoulder in the region of the shoulder blade and/or collar-bone, which shoulder-region protecting element (16, 16') can be fastened to the shoulder strap (3), wherein the shoulder-region protecting element (16, 16') has a fastening element (17, 17', 17") to be detachably fastened over an area to a freely selectable portion (21, 21') of a fastening region (14) which extends along the shoulder strap (3), and the fastening element (17, 17', 17") comprises a connecting element such as, say, a hook or loop fastener part and the fastening region (14) comprises a connecting element such as, say, a loop or hook fastener part
- Ballistic vest according to claim 1, characterised in that the fastening element (17, 17') engages and holds the shoulder-region protecting element (16, 16') by fitting round it or a portion thereof.
- Ballistic vest according to claim 1 or 2, characterised in that the fastening element (17) is a pocket.
- Ballistic vest according to one of claims 1 to 3, characterised in that the fastening element (17") is solidly connected to the shoulder-region protecting element (16, 16').
- Ballistic vest according to one of claims 1 to 4, characterised in that the fastening element (17, 17', 17") is divided into segments which are, in particular, triangular.
- Ballistic vest according to one of claims 1 to 5, characterised in that the fastening region (14) is divided into segments which are, in particular, square-cornered.
- Ballistic vest according to one of claims 1 to 6, characterised in that the shoulder strap (3) is solidly connected to a part (2; 1) of the vest at one end and at its free end has a fold-over flap (9) which can be folded over towards the part (2; 1) of the vest, and there is provided on the part (2; 1) of the vest a fastening flap (13) which extends towards the free end of the shoulder strap (3) substantially parallel thereto.
- Ballistic vest according to claim 7, characterised in that the fastening element (17, 17', 17") is held in a sandwich-like engagement between the shoulder strap (3) on the one hand and the fold-over and fastening flaps (9, 13) on the other hand.
- Ballistic vest according to claim 7 or 8, characterised in that the end of the shoulder strap (3) at which the fold-over flap is situated can be connected to the other part (1; 2) of the vest by hook-and-loop connection in a sandwich-like engagement between a fastening area (6) on the shoulder strap and a fastening flap (7) on the shoulder strap.
- Shoulder-region protecting element (16, 16') for the shoulder in the region of the shoulder blade and/or collar-bone, for a modular ballistic vest according to one of claims 1 to 9, characterised in that a fastening element (17") for detachable fastening over an area to a portion of a fastening region (14) which extends along a shoulder strap (3) of the ballistic vest can be solidly attached to the shoulder-region protecting element (16, 16'), and the fastening element (17") takes the form of, say, an area formed into loops, or a hook or loop part which is adhesive-bonded to the shoulder-region protecting element (16, 16').
- Fastening element (17, 17') for a shoulder-region protecting element (16, 16') for the shoulder in the region of the shoulder blade and/or collar-bone, for a modular ballistic vest according to one of claims 1 to 9, which engages and holds the shoulder-region protecting element (16, 16') by fitting round it or at least a portion thereof, wherein the fastening element (17, 17') has, on one outer side, a connecting element extending over an area such as, say, a loop or hook part for hook-and-loop fastening to a fastening region (14) of a shoulder strap (3).
- Fastening element according to claim 11, characterised in that it is in the form of a pocket.
- Fastening element according to claim 12, characterised in that it also has a loop or hook part on the other outer side.
