Abstract

The staircase has a profile (6) couplable with an upper surface of a module (1) or a series of juxtaposed modules forming a step (2) of a staircase. A nosing forming part extends in an extension by aligning a lateral surface (70) forming a riser (71), of the module or the series of modules. The lateral surface forms a raised edge of the module or the series of module at a coupled state, where the edge is adapted to retain a filling material i.e. concrete, constituent of the step and situated above the upper surface of the module or the series of modules.

Description

The present invention relates generally to the realization of stairs.

The invention more particularly relates to a modular staircase, preferably for swimming pool, comprising at least one, preferably a plurality of, module (s) assembled (s) by juxtaposition and / or superposition to form at least one step, each module realized preferably in a material cut with the aid of a saw, affecting the shape of a parallelepiped block delimited by four lateral faces, an upper face and a lower face, said block being provided with at least one through-housing connecting the upper face and the lower face of the module and for receiving a filler, such as concrete, generally by casting.

In such stairs, the filling material poured into the modules is flush with the upper face of the step modules. As a result, the upper face of each of said modules, is little protected vis-à-vis the repeated solicitations it undergoes because of the ups and downs of users. The steps of the stairs can then degrade quickly with use. It is also expected to report a profile protruding from the riser. This profile causes the creation of reliefs at the riser which cause a visible mark on the coating called "liner".

DE1509522 describes a modular staircase in which the upper face of each module is protected only by means of an added protective coating.

DE2921457 discloses a metal staircase comprising hollow modules forming steps assembled together using angle brackets. EP-A-1707706 describes a workpiece, such as steps of a swimming pool staircase intended to cooperate with a similar bending piece, with the aid of first and second attachment means forming a male-female connection in such a way that to form casting volumes corresponding to at least two steps of said staircase.

The object of the invention is to propose a staircase especially pool whose design can strengthen each step vis-à-vis external stresses, while allowing a finish of the coating called "liner", on the march, without generation of marks or reliefs.

Another object of the invention is to allow a stable and precise assembly of the modules together, including modules that delimit a riser.

Another object of the invention is to allow easy realization of different forms of stairs, including stairs said angle, from identical modules. An angled staircase is a stairway at least one step has a longitudinal inclined direction, generally 45 °, relative to the plane of a wall against which said step is applied.

For this purpose, the invention relates to a modular staircase, preferably for swimming pool, comprising at least one, preferably a plurality of, module (s) assembled (s) by juxtaposition and / or superposition to form at least one step, each module preferably made of a material that can be cut with the aid of a saw, having the shape of a parallelepiped block delimited by four lateral faces, an upper face and a lower face, said block being provided with at least one traversing housing connecting the upper face and the lower face of the module and serving to receive a filling material, such as concrete, generally by casting, characterized in that said staircase further comprises at least one section that can be interlocked with the upper face the module, or the series of modules juxtaposed forming a step of said staircase, a portion of the step nosing profile, said step nosing portion extending, in the state coupled to said module or said series of modules, in the extension and in alignment of a face lateral riser of said module or of said series of modules, and forming, in the coupled state, a raised edge of said module or of said series of modules, adapted to retain the filling material constituting the step, located above of said upper face of said module or of said series of modules.

The profile of the staircase according to the invention makes it possible to retain the filling material in the volume delimited between said profile and the riser formed by the upper step or by a basin wall, which makes it possible to benefit from a face of wear of the lower step whose thickness is important. In other words, the use of such a profile makes it possible to increase the thickness of filling material situated above the upper face of each module defining a riser and thus to reinforce the upper face of the corresponding step.

The profile also serves as a connecting element between the various aligned and juxtaposed modules that delimit a riser.

In addition, because a portion of the profile extends in the extension and in alignment of a riser side face, the profile increases the walking height without creating discontinuity areas between the side face of the module and the part of the profile forming a stair nosing. The coating called "liner", can then be applied to the wear face (obtained after pouring the filler) of the step and the side face of these modules extended by the profile, without formation of reliefs or marks.

According to a particular embodiment of the staircase according to the invention, of the type formed of a plurality of steps obtained by superposition and juxtaposition of identical modules, in the cast state of the material in the modules, the lowest step is of higher height than the other steps.

Thanks to the use of a profile extending the front face forming a riser of a module or a series of modules, the volume delimited between this section and the modules defining the riser of the top step can be filled by the filling material. The upper step modules are thus partially hidden by the volume of filler material located above the upper face of the lower step modules. As a result, the first step is higher than the other steps.

In addition, the use of a single module model simplifies design and reduces the cost of the staircase.

According to another advantageous characteristic of the staircase according to the invention, to couple by interlocking the upper face of the module, or the series of modules with the profile, the upper face of said or each module comprises at least one slot developing substantially parallel to the middle plane of a side face of the riser module and extending from another side face to the opposite side face, said slot being open at each of its ends and forming a housing for the partially interlocking receiving of profile.

The realization of a slot is an assembly means that is easy to perform and that does not form a projection on the upper face. Such an assembly means does not increase the size of the module.

When modules are aligned and juxtaposed to delimit a riser, the opening of each slot at its ends allows to engage a continuous profile in the alignment of the slots.

According to another advantageous characteristic of the staircase according to the invention, the upper face of said or each module comprises at least four slots intersecting at right angles to form a quadrilateral, at least two of the slots, parallel to each other, developing substantially parallel to the mean plane of a lateral face of the module and extending from another lateral face to the side face opposite to said other face, said slot being open at each of its ends and forming a housing for the interlocking receiving partial profile.

The presence of slots along each of the lateral faces of the module allows, whatever the chosen orientation of the module, to bring the profile on the face riser. Such a design allows for different forms of stairs and reduce the cost of manufacturing such stairs. In the case where the other two slots, parallel to each other, have not opened at their ends, and it is desired to bring the profile along one of these slots, it is necessary to make a cut line to extend said slot so that it extends from one side face to another and is open at its ends.

According to another particular embodiment of the staircase according to the invention, of the type comprising a plurality of modules assembled by juxtaposition and possibly by superposition to form at least one step, said profile is a continuous element connecting a plurality of them juxtaposed modules used to delimit a riser.

The modules of a row can thus be precisely aligned and held together by the continuous profile.

According to another advantageous characteristic of the invention, the profile comprises a generally L-shaped cross-section base body, the vertical leg of said L being able to form the raised edge of the face of the module, or of the series of modules. , forming a riser, and the horizontal branch of said L intended to be applied to the upper face of said module or of said series of modules, being provided with a wing forming a male connection member with interlocking of the profile to said module or to said series of modules.

According to another advantageous characteristic of the invention, each module comprises at least two opposite lateral faces, called assembly faces, each equipped with at least one member of male or female type, said opposite side faces being of complementary shapes.

According to another advantageous characteristic of the invention, each assembly face comprises at least one male member and a female member of complementary shapes.

According to another advantageous characteristic of the invention, said through-housing is divided into four compartments by two so-called vertical partitions crossing one another forming a cross between them, each partition passing through the vertical median plane of each of the faces of a pair of faces. opposite sides.

According to another advantageous characteristic of the invention, the upper face of said or each module comprises at least one gutter section with discontinuous longitudinal edges, extending from a lateral face to the corresponding opposite lateral face, and preferably , in a direction parallel to the vertical median plane of the two opposite faces.

According to the particular embodiment of the staircase according to the invention, of the type formed of a plurality of steps obtained by superposition and juxtaposition of identical modules, each module of an upper step rests on a module of a lower step.

Such an assembly of modules together to form several steps allows to exempt parts other than modules to position the modules at different heights, unlike prior art stairs for which the modules can be mounted at different heights on piles. Such an assembly also allows a significant saving in filling.

Similarly, in the case of a stairway formed of at least one step obtained by juxtaposition of generally identical juxtaposed modules, said step may be formed of a plurality of rows of modules juxtaposed to form a beach-type step.

With reference to the figures, the modular staircase according to the invention comprises at least one, preferably a plurality of, modules 1 assembled by juxtaposition and / or superposition to form at least one step 2.

In the example illustrated in the figures, said staircase is a pool staircase which comprises a plurality of modules 1 assembled by juxtaposition and superposition to form the steps 2, 21 of said staircase. The modules of an upper step 21 rest on a sole 2 'formed by modules of a lower step 2 (see FIG. figure 4 ).

Each module 1 is preferably made of a material that can be cut with the aid of a saw, such as polystyrene. Each module has the shape of a parallelepipedal block, in particular of cubic general shape delimited by four lateral faces 7A, 7B, 7C, 7D, an upper face 4 and a lower face 5. The four lateral faces 7A, 7B, 7C, 7D are substantially of the same dimensions. Each module is provided with at least one through-hole 3 connecting the upper face 4 and the lower face of the module 1. Said through-housing 3 serves to receive a filling material generally by casting. The filling material here is concrete.

La partie formant nez de marche dudit profilé 6 forme également, à l'état couplé, un bord relevé de ladite série de modules 1, apte à retenir la matière de remplissage (non représentée), constitutive de la marche 2, située au-dessus de la face supérieure de ladite série de modules 1.As illustrated in figure 4 and in a characteristic manner to the invention, the upper face of each series of juxtaposed modules forming a step 2, 21 of said staircase is coupled by interlocking with a profile 6, a part forming a step form. The step nose portion of said profile 6 extends, in the state coupled to said series of modules 1, in the extension and alignment of the lateral face 70 forming the riser of said series of modules 1. The nose portion of operation of said profile 6 also forms, in the coupled state, a raised edge of said series of modules 1, adapted to retain the filling material (not shown), constituting the step 2, located above the upper face of said series of modules 1.

Ladite fente 8A est ouverte à chacune de ses extrémités et forme un logement pour la réception à emboîtement partiel du profilé 6.To couple by interlocking the upper face of each series of modules defining a riser, with the profile 6, the upper face 4 of each module 1 comprises at least one slot 8A developing substantially parallel to the average plane of the lateral face 7A of the riser module 1 and extending from the side face 7B to the opposite side face 7D. Mean plane of a face, the plane passing through the lateral edges of said face. Said slot 8A is open at each of its ends and forms a housing for the partial fitting reception of the profile 6.

In the example illustrated in the figures and more particularly in the figure 1 , the upper face 4 of each module 1 comprises four slots 8A, 8B, 8C, 8D intersecting at right angles to form a quadrilateral. The slots 8A and 8C, parallel to each other, develop substantially parallel to the mean plane of the side faces 7A and 7C of the module 1 and extend from another side face 7B to the corresponding opposite side face 7D. Each slot 8A and 8C is open at each of its ends and forms a housing for the partial fitting reception of the profile 6. The presence of the slots 8B, 8D, orthogonal to the slots 8A, 8C, allows, as detailed below and illustrated to the figures 5a , 5b , 5c , to make a staircase with several areas of descent and ascent. In the example shown in figure 1 , the ends of these slots 8B, 8D are not open on the side faces 7A, 7C so as not to weaken the corners of the module. It is only at the completion of the staircase and if it is necessary to couple a profile to the slot 8B or 8D that it is open at its ends by cutting lines. Alternatively, it can be provided that each slot 8A, 8B, 8C, 8D is open at each of its ends at the time of manufacture of the module.

As illustrated more particularly in Figures 2 and 3 , the profile 6 comprises a base body with a generally L-shaped cross-section. In the coupled state of the profile 6 to the series of modules 1, the vertical branch 15 of said L forms a raised edge of the face of the series of riser modules and the horizontal branch 14 of said L comes to apply on the upper face of said series of modules. Said horizontal limb 14 is provided with a flange 13 forming a male interlocking connection member of the profile 6 to said series of modules. The wing 13, which extends substantially perpendicularly to the horizontal branch 14, can be obtained by bending at right angles to the longitudinal edge of said horizontal branch 14. In particular, the branch 14 applies substantially perpendicular to the wall. wing 13 and a length corresponding to the distance between the slot of the module into which this wing 13 must be inserted and the face of the riser module.

Comme illustré à la figure 3, l'aile 13 s'étend parallèlement à la branche verticale 15 et la partie du retour 16 qui forme le bord supérieur du profilé s'étend parallèlement à la branche horizontale 14.In addition, the upper free edge of the vertical leg 15 has a return 16, folded towards the flange 13 and the horizontal leg 14, that is to say folded towards the inside of the volume delimited by the section 6 and the riser 71 of the upper step 21 in the assembled state of the modules and the corresponding profile (see figure 4 ). This return 16 serves as attachment part of the profile 6 in the concrete, when it is poured into the modules and fills the space defined by the profile and the riser of the upper step. As illustrated in figure 3 , the wing 13 extends parallel to the vertical leg 15 and the portion of the return 16 which forms the upper edge of the profile extends parallel to the horizontal leg 14.

Other rows of modules are contiguous behind said front row to form the sole 2 ', or support, on which the modules of the or step (s) 21 top (s). When the concrete is poured into the assembled modules, the volume delimited between said profile 6 and the riser 71 of the upper step 21 is filled with concrete. The lowest step 2, that is to say that which rests directly on the ground and not on other modules, is then higher than the other steps 21.

Preferably, as illustrated in figure 4 , the profile 6 is a continuous element interconnecting a plurality of juxtaposed modules 1 serving to delimit a riser 70, said profile 6 being of length substantially equal to that of the step 2. The profile 6 is inserted into each slot along the face before the row of modules 1 defining the riser 70. The profile inserted into the slots of the modules keeps the modules 1 aligned with each other. Alternatively, it can be provided that the profile is formed of several sections assembled end to end.

Each module 1 comprises at least two opposite lateral faces 7B, 7D, called assembly faces, each equipped with at least one member of male or female type, said faces 7B, 7D opposite side being of complementary shapes. Preferably, as illustrated more particularly in figure 1 each connecting face is equipped with a male member 10B, 10D, such as a dovetail and a female member 9B, 9D, such as an opening of complementary shape to said dovetail, allowing assembly of a side face of a module with the corresponding opposite side face of another identical module. It is thus possible to make a staircase by assembling identical modules. The male member of each assembly face is adapted, after cutting, to be housed in the female member of said assembly face.

The male members 10B, 10D and female 9B, 9D of the assembly faces 7B, 7D are arranged symmetrically with respect to the axis A1 of the parallelepiped and the other two lateral faces 7A, 7C of each module 1 are smooth so as to be able to constitute a riser face. The axis A1 is defined as the axis passing through the center of the square section of the module and which extends parallel to the axis of the housing 3, that is to say vertically. Thus, each module 1 can be indifferently rotated 180 ° about said axis A1 to be assembled to identical modules.

In addition, as illustrated in figure 1 the upper face 4 of each module 1 has assembly means 11 of the male type, complementary to female type assembly means (not shown) provided on the lower face 5 of each module 1. In the example illustrated in FIG. the figure 1 , the male-type assembly means 11 are formed by the edge of the housing 3 which extends projecting from the upper face 4 and the partition 17 (detailed below) which also extends in projection from the upper face 4. As a variant, it is possible for the lower and upper faces 4 to be provided are of the same geometry so as to allow easy and fast positioning of the modules 1 between them, without having to differentiate the upper face of the lower face.

Said through housing 3 is divided into four compartments by two partitions 17, 18, said vertical, perpendicular to each other and intersecting in the manner of a cross. Each partition 17, 18 passes through the vertical median plane of each of the faces of a pair of opposite faces 7A, 7C or 7B, 7D. The geometric configuration of these partitions 17, 18 allows easy cutting of the module along a diagonal of its square section. In addition, after cutting diagonally of said module, the operator obtains two pieces of triangular section and the remaining partition portions on each piece form stiffening ribs of said part. Such a diagonal cut of the modules is used, in particular for the realization of angle staircase as detailed below and illustrated at Figures 4a and 4b .

In order to facilitate the cutting of the module, if necessary, the upper face 4 and possibly the lower face of said module include cutting lines 19, 20 which constitute cutting marks. As illustrated in figure 1 , there are provided cutting lines 20 oriented along the diagonals of the upper face 4 of each module.

Cutting lines 19 oriented along a cutting plane parallel to the lateral faces 7B, 7D of assembly are also provided to adjust the length of the module if necessary depending on the dimensions of the pool.

In addition, the upper face 4 of each module 1 comprises a gutter section 12 with discontinuous longitudinal edges. This gutter section 12 extends from the lateral face 7B to the opposite lateral side face 7D corresponding.

Each section of gutter 12 is preferably centered, that is to say that it extends in a direction parallel to the vertical median plane of the two faces 7B, 7D opposite. Thus, the gutter sections of the modules of a row parallel to the riser can be aligned to form a gutter. When the concrete is poured into the modules, it flows along the gutters so as to bind said modules together. With the profile, the poured concrete extends above the upper face of the corresponding modules to the upper free edge of said profile. The concrete poured into the gutter then forms, in the cured state, a bar integral with the row of modules. Thus, when it is necessary to modify the structure of the staircase, a row of modules can be extracted easily. In addition, such a concrete bar ensures the cohesion of the modules of the same row between them.

The figures 4 , 4a to 4e and 5a , 5b , 5c present different forms of stairs achievable from the modules according to the invention.

The staircase shown at figure 4 is a classic type of staircase, according to which all the steps have the same length and each step has a single face forming a riser.

In the staircase shown at figures 5a , 5b each step has two orthogonal faces 70, 70 'forming a riser so that said staircase has two downward and upward zones. Each step 21 greater than another step 2 said lower is arranged behind the modules of the step 2 which delimit the two faces 70, 70 'forming a riser. The production of slots on the periphery of the upper face of each of the modules makes it possible to obtain an upper running face 2 having two long profile coupling slots, along each of the riser faces 70, 70 ', each of said long coupling slots being obtained by juxtaposing a slot of a module with slots other modules. As mentioned above, if the slots 8C or 8D of the modules defining the face 70 forming a riser are not open at their ends (as is the case of the module illustrated in FIG. figure 1 ), cuts are made by the operator for one of the slots 8C or 8D to allow the insertion of the profile 6 'in said slot. The two long coupling slots thus obtained on the upper face of the step 2 receive two profiles 6, 6 'whose assembly ends are mitered to allow a good assembly of said sections 6, 6' between them.

The staircase shown at figure 5c is an alternative embodiment of the staircase shown in figures 5a , 5b . According to this variant, the modules defining the face 70 'forming a riser are oriented such that their sections of gutters extend parallel to the profile 6'. Thus, unlike the gutter sections of the stair modules according to the figures 5a and 5b , Which are all parallel to each other, the gutter sections of the modules delimiting the face 70 extend orthogonally to the gutter sections of the modules delimiting the face 70 '.

According to a variant not illustrated, it can be provided that each step has a continuous channel, L-shaped, which runs along the faces 70, 70 'forming risers, replacing the module forming the corner of said risers, by an assembly of two parts of triangular section from the cutting of two modules diagonally. One of the two modules is cut along one of its diagonals and the other module is cut along the other diagonal. It is then sufficient to assemble one of the cut pieces of a module with one of the cut pieces of the other module to reform a module whose gutter section forms an L.

The Figures 4a, 4b illustrate different forms of swimming pool angle stairway that can be made from the modules according to the invention. The corner portions of these stairs are obtained as explained above by diagonal cutting of the modules. The figure 4a presents a double zone staircase descent and climb that is arranged in a truncated corner of a pool. The figure 4b illustrates a simple downhill and uphill staircase that is also arranged in a truncated corner of a pool. In particular, each step of this staircase forms in plan view an isosceles trapezium.

The figure 4e is a view of a staircase, each step of which has a plan view of a quadrilateral so as to provide three zones of descent and rise in directions at an angle of 90 ° between them.

The figure 4d is a staircase presenting a single downhill and upward zone and one of which (the highest) has a wear face formed by the upper face of two rows of modules while the wear face of the other steps is formed of 'a single row of modules.
