Description

The invention relates to a method of renovating a glazed element and a ventilation module and a corresponding glazed element equipped with such a module.

When renovating a building, it is often the renovation of glazed elements without worrying about ventilation. Buildings can be housing, tertiary school buildings or offices. The glazed elements may for example be windows, glass doors, glass partitions, fixed glass windows, glass flaps, sliding glass doors or glass furniture elements.

Most of the buildings concerned are usually old buildings that do not have a ventilation device, the renewal of the air being done in a natural way by the defects of waterproofing of the building, in particular at the level of the glazed elements.

The renovation of these therefore prevents this natural ventilation. Indeed, the renovation of the glazed elements as it is currently used makes them highly watertight, because of the use of joints or insulators.

However, we have known for a long time that it is necessary to ventilate a building in order to improve the conservation of the building and evacuate specific pollution that may be related to the presence of the occupants, the building itself or the materials or machines used in the premises.

Thus, during the renovation of a glazed element without implementation of suitable systems, the concentration of pollutant or humidity increase inside the building.

Moreover, the control of this ventilation is necessary to limit the thermal losses due to this renewal of air, so as to reduce the energy required for heating the building.

In order to achieve efficient ventilation of a building, there are currently different solutions.

A first solution is to use an extractor.

An extractor, also known as an aerator, drives the air out of one piece. The extractor does not ventilate continuously because users only start it when they notice the existence of pollution (odors, cigarette smoke, ...). Pollutants are not all perceptible by man (radon, volatile organic compound (VOC)).

This type of ventilation is noisy and does not allow a satisfactory cleaning of the air. Such ventilation also does not ensure the conservation of the building, nor ventilate the entire building.

A second solution is, when possible, to open the glazed element, for example the window.

Cette façon de ventiler ne protège en outre pas des nuisances extérieures (bruit, insectes, pollution, ...).In this case, the amount of exhaust air is not controlled. The renewal of the air is inefficient and is only punctual. When the outside temperature is low, in addition to the discomfort, this solution leads to a waste of energy and thus additional heating expenses. This way of ventilating also does not protect from outside nuisances (noise, insects, pollution, ...).

A third solution is to ventilate via a thermal draft.

With "natural" thermal ventilation, the outside air enters through grilles placed at the bottom of the facade walls. The indoor warm air, lighter than cold air, comes out of grids placed at the top of the wall. This solution does not allow to ventilate according to the needs but only according to the random external conditions and the height of the housing.

The air flow is not controlled, this leads to additional heating costs in winter and a lack of ventilation in mid-season and summer. This type of ventilation does not allow to limit the external nuisances either.

Une quatrième solution est l'utilisation d'une ventilation mécanique contrôlée (VMC).A fourth solution is the use of controlled mechanical ventilation (VMC).

The VMC allows continuous and controlled ventilation of the dwelling. Thanks to a fan and a flow control system, the renewal of the air is controlled. This technique makes it possible to maintain the temperature of the building and to ensure the comfort of the occupants. The building can benefit from permanent and regulated ventilation, and in all rooms of the building. This system is quiet and works well in all seasons.

There is the single flow VMC in which the outside air enters through air intake grilles in the main rooms, passes through the building and is then discharged to the outside after being extracted from the technical rooms by a fan.

The VMC simple flow can be self-adjustable or adjustable. In the case where it is self-adjusting, the air flows are kept constant whatever the external conditions (wind, rain) and interior (number of occupants, humidity).

In the case where it is flexible, the air flows automatically adapt to the needs of the occupants according to their presence, CO 2 content , humidity or other indicators of pollution.

There is also the VMC dual flux comprising an air blowing system in the living rooms, an air extraction network in the technical rooms, and an exchanger for exchanging heat between the two. extract air and air blown, so as to heat the air blown before it is inserted into the building. The blown air can also be filtered beforehand.

This technique allows to make significant energy savings and to ensure optimal comfort for the occupant.

These different solutions, in addition to the disadvantages described above, can also be difficult to implement during partial rehabilitation of a building.

In order to remedy this drawback, it is known to use an individual dual-flow module. This module is usually positioned in the wall, at least in part. It is therefore necessary to provide a housing in the wall and drill into the latter two openings for the intake and discharge of air.

This solution therefore allows to be able to individually ventilate a room of a building and is, therefore, adapted to a partial rehabilitation of it. However, it requires major masonry work.

Une autre solution est décrite dans le document DE 100 10 817 .Another solution is described in the document DE 100 10 817 .

This document describes a ventilation module that is integrated into a window, between the original frame and a new joinery. The latter is made to measure and is mounted on the old frame equipped with the ventilation module.

This solution is easy to install and does not require any major work.

The establishment of such a ventilation module, however, results in a significant reduction in the size of the window and therefore the glazing.

The invention aims to overcome these disadvantages by proposing a method of renovating a glazed element which is easy to implement and which does not lead to a significant reduction in the dimensions of the glazing, or a partial occlusion of the glazed surface.

The document DE 298 04 416 U1 discloses a glazed element equipped with a ventilation module which has a housing, inside which is housed a fan, and an air flow duct projecting out of the housing. The air flow duct of such a ventilation module is inserted into an oblong opening in the frame.

A cet effet, l'invention concerne un procédé de rénovation, comme défini à la revendication 1.For this purpose, the invention relates to a renovation method, as defined in claim 1.

In this way, the ventilation module is arranged in front of or behind the frame, but is not arranged on it, so that it is not necessary to reduce considerably the dimensions of a possible carpentry or opening replacement.

In addition, the introduction of the ventilation module is facilitated since it does not require masonry work.

According to the invention, two openings are formed in the frame, the ventilation module comprising an air extraction fan and an air blower as well as an air extraction duct and an air duct. blowing air, the module being arranged so that each pipe is inserted into one of the openings of the frame.

The ventilation module can thus work in double flow.

Advantageously, the frame of the glazed element is surmounted or replaced, at least in part, by a new frame, the openings being formed in the new frame.

The use of a new frame already having the openings avoids an in situ machining step, often complex to achieve and requiring the availability of appropriate equipment at the installation site.

Selon une possibilité de l'invention, le dormant (22) de l'élément vitré (16) est surmonté par le nouveau dormant (21), celui-ci comportant un support profilé (19) fixé au dormant (22) de l'élément vitré (16).According to a possibility of the invention, the frame (22) of the glazed element (16) is surmounted by the new frame (21), the latter comprising a profiled support (19) fixed to the frame (22) of the glazed element (16).

The old frame is thus preserved so as to limit the complexity of the renovation work of the glazed element.

In some cases, it is advisable to favor the total removal, the old frame being then completely removed.

Preferably, the ventilation module has a generally elongated shape and is arranged parallel to the frame, the ventilation module having two end faces on each of which is mounted a fixing plate, each fixing plate having an extension fixed to the frame.

According to one characteristic of the invention, a hood is mounted on the ventilation module.

The hood protects the ventilation module and gives an aesthetic appearance to the whole. The hood may be longer than the fan module to accommodate the dimensions of a window panel.

Advantageously, the ventilation module is mounted on the lower cross member of the frame or on the upper cross member of the frame.

Preferably, the ventilation module is mounted outside the building.

According to a possibility of the invention, the ventilation module is mounted on the lower cross member of the frame, so that it bears on a window sill, via at least one foot.

A cantilevered mounting of the ventilation module facing the frame is thus reinforced by the foot which makes it possible to avoid any deterioration of the ventilation module in the event of accidental support on the latter.

L'invention concerne en outre un élément vitré, comme défini aux revendications 9 à 13The invention further relates to a glazed element as defined in claims 9 to 13

Advantageously, an additional frame is mounted on the frame, the openings being formed in the additional frame.

The air extraction pipe is inserted into a first opening in the frame, the air blowing pipe being inserted into a second opening in the frame.

A ventilation module 1 is represented at figures 1 and 2 . It comprises a housing 2 of parallelepipedal and elongate overall shape, having a median zone 3 on either side of which are arranged a first and a second lateral zones 4, 5.

Un ventilateur d'insufflation d'air est logé dans le boîtier 2, au niveau de la seconde zone latérale 5.An exhaust fan is housed in the housing 2, at the first lateral zone 4. An air blower is housed in the housing 2, at the second lateral zone 5.

The housing 2 comprises, at its end faces, plates 6 having grids for the circulation of air.

The plates 6 each comprise a threaded rod 7 extending perpendicularly to the axis of the housing.

The casing 2 further delimits an air extraction duct 8 and an air blowing duct 9 respectively disposed at the level of the first lateral zone 4 and at the level of the second lateral zone 5 of the casing 2, making protruding parallel to the threaded rods 7 of the plates 6.

As it appears in figure 2 , the housing 2 is in the form of two half-shells 10, 11 made of synthetic material and screwed to one another. The pipes 8, 9 have a mouthpiece of generally oblong shape and having a flange 12 intended to form a support for a joint not shown. In addition, each plate 6 also comprises a rim 13 from which the corresponding threaded rod 7 extends, the rim 13 of the plate 6 being disposed in the extension of the rim 12 of the pipe 8, 9 situated in proximity so as to form a common edge, a single seal then bearing against the common edge. The seal serves both for fastening and sealing.

Chaque pied 14, 15 se présente sous la forme d'une tige filetée coopérant avec un écrou fixé au boîtier, de manière à pouvoir ajuster ia longueur en saillie des pieds 14, 15.Moreover, as appears in figures 3 and 4 , the ventilation module 1 is equipped with two feet 14, 15 respectively disposed at the first and second side zones 4, 5 of the housing, the feet 14, 15 protruding from the bottom wall of the housing 2. Each foot 14, 15 is in the form of a threaded rod cooperating with a nut fixed to the housing, so as to adjust the protruding length of the feet 14, 15.

The figures 3 and 4 represent the establishment of the ventilation module 1 on a window 16 of a building under renovation.

A conventional window comprises a frame supporting an opening equipped with a glazing.

The renovation of the window 16 aims to change the opening and the existing glazing to replace them with a new set.

The renovation also aims to mount the ventilation module 1 on the window 16 so as to allow ventilation of a building room.

To this end, a first and a second opening 17, 18 are formed in a profiled support 19, respectively permitting the passage of the extraction pipe 8 and the air blowing pipe 9.

Two additional holes 20 for passing the threaded rods 7 are further formed in the profiled support 19.

Next, an additional frame 21 is fixedly mounted on the profiled support 19, a part of the additional frame 21 coming to cover the old frame 22.

In this case, the new frame is formed by the assembly of the additional frame 21 and the profiled support 19. According to an alternative embodiment, the new frame can be made in one piece.

The ventilation module 1 is then mounted on the outside, on the profiled support 19, so that the exhalation and air blowing lines 8, 9 are inserted into the first and second openings 17 , 18 and come out into the room.

In the embodiment shown in figures 3 and 4 , the profiled support 19 is mounted on the lower cross member of the frame.

The rods 7 then pass through the corresponding holes 20, protrude from the other side of the profiled support 19 and cooperate with a nut 23 so as to achieve the fixing of the ventilation module 1. A cover 24 covers the nut 23 and the end of the threaded rod 7 and ensures the orientation of the air flows.

The length of the feet 14, 15 is then adjusted so that the latter bear on the window support 25.

A cover 26 for protection and covering is also mounted on the ventilation module 1. The cover 26 can be mounted by snapping or pivoting on the upper face of the housing 2, in the case where the ventilation module 1 is partially fixed. bottom of the window 16.

Un ouvrant neuf 27 équipé d'un vitrage 28 peut ensuite être monté sur le dormant additionnel 21.A new opening 27 equipped with a glazing 28 can then be mounted on the additional frame 21.

Dans ce cas, le module de ventilation 1 est disposé en partie supérieure de la fenêtre 16.According to another embodiment not shown, the additional frame 21 and the profiled support 19 are mounted on the upper cross member of the frame. In this case, the ventilation module 1 is disposed in the upper part of the window 16.

Il serait alors possible de se passer de dormant additionnel 21 et de support profilé 19.In addition, according to another embodiment not shown, the openings 17, 18 are formed directly in the original frame 22. It would then be possible to do without additional frame 21 and profiled support 19.

In addition, according to another embodiment, the fixing of the ventilation module is carried out using two brackets, separate plates 6. In this case, the plates 6 serve only to form protective grids.

Dans ce cas, le capot 26 est également équipé de grilles latérales, distinctes des plaques 6 montées sur le boîtier 2.According to a particular embodiment also not shown, the cover 26 is of greater length than the housing 2 of the ventilation module 1. In this case, the cover 26 is also equipped with side grids, separate plates 6 mounted on the case 2.

It goes without saying that the invention is not limited to the embodiments of this housing, of this glazed element and of this renovation process, described above as examples, but it encompasses all the variants. .
