Further, the resistance value of the break-detecting resistor 14 for detecting the disconnection is smaller than a resistance value of the power source lines 111 - 118 and the 131 - 138 when the disconnection occurs at any of the power source lines 111 - 118 and the 131 - 138. Furthermore, the resistance value of the break-detecting resistor 14 for detecting the disconnection may be smaller than a resistance value of the external power source circuit 40 when the disconnection occurs at the external power source circuit 40 that supplies the power source to the occupant detecting apparatus 10.
  • the resistance value resulted from the break-detecting resistor 14 is detected by the external power source circuit 40.
  • the resistance value of the power source lines 111 - 118 and 131 - 138 significantly becomes large. Therefore, an occurrence of the disconnection is detected by the external power source circuit 40.
