- a crown of the above-mentioned kind is known for example from the European patent application EP 1 586 960 in the name of the Claimant. It is a crown for a timepiece including a disengagement device.
- This ring comprises a hollow cylindrical housing inside which are arranged a barrel on which is fixed a winding stem and a member capable of elastically deforming and cooperating in rotation with a rigid element of the notched ring type. This cooperation in rotation is ensured as long as the torque transmitted by the notched ring to the elastically deformable element remains below a predetermined threshold. When this threshold is exceeded, a disengagement phenomenon is observed between said notched ring and said elastically deformable element. In other words, there is no longer transmission of the torque between the notched ring and the elastic element. The crown then rotates in the vacuum and its rotational movement is not transmitted to the winding stem.
- the structure of the crown briefly described above is that of a disengageable crown. Its purpose is to avoid damaging the mechanism of a timepiece, especially in the case where the user tries to reassemble the mechanism of his watch while the barrel spring is fully armed.
- the elastically deformable element is constituted by a spring comprising a central base of general shape close to that of a square and from which extend four elastically deformable arms.
- Each of the elastic arms comprises two successive portions, namely a first short portion extending from the central base in a substantially radial direction before presenting a bend substantially at right angles, and a second substantially rectilinear portion in the extension of the first portion, following the bent portion.
