Definitions
- the invention relates to an angle plug according to the preamble of claim 1.
- angle connectors are used in particular in the automotive industry when laying coaxial cables.
- the second contact piece is in this case a front end of the inner conductor of a coaxial cable. When installed, this coaxial cable is angled 90 ° to the plug-in direction of the angle plug.
- the US-A-2004/0137790 discloses an angle plug according to the preamble of claim 1.
- the first contact piece is fixed in a central bore of the dielectric part and is positioned by this part with respect to its longitudinal axis.
- the second contact piece has four spring-elastic contact tongues at a front end, which are insertable into a bore of the first contact piece.
- Another angle plug is in the prior art by the DE-A-10 2004041809 known.
- This has a plug-in direction oriented first contact piece, which is designed as a solid rotary part and at one end has a fork into which a perpendicular to a connected to the inner conductor of the coaxial cable pin-like second contact piece is inserted.
- the invention is based on the object to provide an angle plug of the type mentioned, which at least partially meets the above requirements to a greater extent.
- the inventive angle plug of the pin-shaped part is inserted when mounting the coaxial cable in an opening of the first contact piece and fixed in this opening.
- the insertion of the pin-shaped part into the opening of the first contact piece is very safe because the first contact piece is floatingly mounted in the dielectric part in at least one direction.
- the first contact piece can thus shift and adapt to the position of the second contact piece. This avoids that the first contact piece or the pin-shaped part are damaged during mounting and finally there is a non-reliable connection. A damaged connection could not easily be detected from the outside and could later lead to a failure.
- the first contact piece in the insulator does not have to be fixed at least in its longitudinal direction and therefore can be manufactured and assembled more easily.
- the first contact piece can be floating in all directions. Preferably, however, it is provided that the first contact piece has a longitudinal direction which extends substantially at right angles to the insertion direction of the second contact piece and that the first contact piece is displaceable at least in this longitudinal direction.
- the first contact piece has a spring-elastic tongue, which is arranged in said opening and connects the inserted pin-shaped part with the first contact piece substantially insoluble.
- the second contact piece is locked by this resilient tongue with the first contact piece in said opening.
- this resilient tongue establishes the electrical contact.
- the dielectric part arranged in the housing to have a bore in the insertion direction of the second contact piece, in which the pin-shaped part is guided.
- inventive angle plug of the pin-shaped part is thus performed in the dielectric part.
- the first contact piece can adapt to the guided pin-shaped part due to said floating bearing. Due to the leadership of the pin-shaped part can not escape laterally and thus anchored safely. Also, the insertion or assembly can be carried out very safe and reliable.
- the first contact piece may have a continuous channel and the housing may have an opening aligned with this channel, so that a light beam can penetrate the right angle connector through this channel and said opening and that this passage is interrupted by the correctly inserted second contact piece.
- This angle plug allows a very simple control on the part of the cable manufacturer. If the pin-shaped part is inserted correctly, it interrupts the light beam and thus does not penetrate through the connector. If the pin-shaped part is not or only partially introduced or damaged, the light can penetrate the plug, which is very easy and safe to detect with an optical element. So far, a comparatively large window was required in the connector housing for this control, which had to be closed with a lid to avoid high-frequency radiation losses .. In the novel angle plug now suffices a very small hole that does not have to be closed.
- the first contact piece may have a substantially tubular and a substantially U-shaped section, and the opening may be arranged for insertion of the pin-shaped part in the U-shaped section.
- Such a first contact piece can be penetrated by a light beam in the longitudinal direction, at the same time this contact piece is relatively stable.
- the substantially U-shaped portion may have an elastically deflectable retaining tongue, which is bent during insertion of the pin-shaped part and thus applies to the pin-shaped part, so that it is fixed in an end position. This allows a particularly simple structure and yet a mechanical and electrical contact is ensured safe.
- the inventive angle plug is in particular a coaxial connector and in particular an RF coaxial connector.
- angle plug 1 has a housing 2, which is electrically conductive and has an axis A and a perpendicular to this extending second axis B.
- a first contact piece 10 extend as an inner conductor and coaxially thereto an outer conductor sleeve 7.
- the contact piece 10 is inserted into a continuous recess 9 of an insulator 8.
- the first contact piece 10 is slidably mounted in the directions of the double arrow 26.
- the first contact piece 10 may also be in the other directions and thus transverse to the directions of the Double arrow 26 be slightly displaceable.
- the first contact piece 10 is thus floatingly mounted in the recess 9.
- the displaceability in the directions of the double arrow 26 and optionally transversely thereto may be comparatively small, for example 0.05 mm. Preferably, this displaceability is in the range of 0.1 to 0.03 mm.
- the insulator 8 is inserted through an opening 6 of the housing 2 in a recess 5. Through this opening 6, the outer conductor sleeve 7 is also used. The opening 6 is located in a socket 4, to which the angle plug 1 can be plugged in a conventional manner to a not shown here component.
- the outer conductor sleeve 7 and the housing 2 are electrically connected.
- the mechanical connection of the nozzle 4 with the component may be a latching connection, which allows a rotational movement about the axis A.
- a transition piece 19 is inserted in the axis B is in a recess 17 ( FIG. 5 ) of a nozzle 18 of the housing 2, a transition piece 19 is inserted.
- This transition piece 19 has a channel 27, in which in the direction of arrow 28 a coaxial cable, not shown here, can be inserted.
- This second contact piece 20 is a stamped and bent part made of sheet metal and has a pin-shaped part 21 which is tapered conically at the front end and a crimping plate 22. With this Crimplasche 22, the second contact piece 20 with the Connected cables not shown here.
- the insulator 8 has over the recess 17 has a conical surface 24 which leads into a cylindrical bore 16.
- This bore 16 is open towards the recess 9 and finds a continuation in a further cylindrical bore 15, which is also arranged on the axis B.
- the diameters of the two holes 16 and 15 are preferably substantially equal.
- the pin-shaped part 21 of the second contact piece 20 is according to the FIG. 1 inserted into the two holes 16 and 15. When inserting the pin-shaped part 21 in the insulator 8, this is guided on the conical surfaces 24 and centered and guided in the bores 16 and 15.
- the diameter of the holes 16 and 15 is approximately equal to the outer diameter of the pin-shaped part 21.
- the pin-shaped part 21 is thus guided exactly when inserted into the insulator 8 in the direction of the axis B.
- a resilient tongue 14 which according to the FIG. 4 is integrally formed at one end 31 on the first contact piece 10. in the Distance to the end 31 is a front free end 32 approximately in the region of the holes 15 and 16, as the FIG. 1 lets recognize. In the rest position exists between the end 32 and a web 33 according to FIG. 4 a distance L, which is smaller than the diameter of the pin-shaped part 21. If the pin-shaped part 21 is inserted into the opening 13 of the first contact piece 10, the tongue 14 is contacted at said end 32 by the pin-shaped part 21 and the tongue 14th is according to FIG. 2 deflected elastically in the direction of the arrow 34.
- this first contact piece 10 is floatingly mounted in the recess 9.
- the guided in the holes 16 and 15 pin 21 can thus move the first contact piece 10 at least in the directions of the arrow 26, so that this occupies the appropriate position.
- Is the pin-shaped part 21 according to FIG. 1 introduced so this can not be pulled out of the holes 15 and 16, as this is prevented by the adjacent tongue 14.
- This can dig with the sharp-edged front end 32 in the pin-shaped part 21 and thus lock this part 21 in the holes 15 and 16 and thus in the insulator 8.
- the pin-shaped part 21 is thus mechanically and electrically connected to the first contact piece 10.
- the first contact piece 10 is a stamped and bent part made of sheet metal and consists according to FIG. 3 essentially of a tubular portion 29 and a substantially U-shaped portion 30.
- the tubular portion 29 has at a free end three clamping parts 12, for contacting an inner conductor, not shown here.
- the U-shaped portion 30 has two opposite walls 25, which are connected at one end by said web 33 and between which the tongue 14 is arranged.
- the side walls 25 stabilize the U-shaped part 30 and in particular prevent it from being deformed during insertion of the pin-shaped part 21.
Description

Bezugszeichenliste 1 Winkelstecker 19 Übergangsstück 2 Gehäuse 20 Zweites Kontaktstück 3 Bohrung 21 Stiftförmiges Teil 4 Stutzen 22 Crimplasche 5 Ausnehmung 23 Wandung 6 Öffnung 24 Fläche 7 Aussenleiterhülse 25 Seitenwandung 8 Isolator 26 Doppelpfeil 9 Ausnehmung 27 Kanal 10 Erstes Kontaktstück 28 Pfeil 11 Kanal 29 Rohrförmiger Abschnitt 12 Klemmteil 30 U-förmiger Abschnitt 13 Öffnung 31 Ende 14 Zunge 32 Ende 15 Bohrung 33 Steg 16 Bohrung 34 Pfeil 17 Ausnehmung L Abstand 18 Stutzen
