Da die gesamte Handhabung der Druckplatten von der Belichtungseinrichtung bis zu den Druckplattenpositionen an den Drucktürmen automatisiert erfolgt, kann stets genau nachvertolgt werden, an welcher Position welcher Fördereinrichtung sich welche Druckplatte befindet. Es können demnach uncodierte Druckplatten gehandhabt werden, ohne dass die Gefahr besteht, dass Druckplatten an einem falschen Druckwerk oder an einer falschen Plattenzylinderposition gewechselt werden. Claims (3)

  1. A reel-fed printing press, in particular newspaper printing press, with at least:
    a) at least one printing tower (10, 11, 12);
    b) an exposure device for the exposure of printing plates;
    c) at least one conveying device (15) designed as a horizontal conveyor, to which the exposed printing plates in the region of a transfer station (17) can be transferred in an automated manner and with the help of which exposed printing plates (16) can be conveyed in horizontal direction into the region of the printing tower (10, 11, 12), on which the respective printing plate is required for carrying out a printing plate change;
    d) at least one second conveying device (20), to which the respective printing plate can be transferred from the first conveying device in an automated manner when an exposed printing plate has been conveyed into the region of the printing tower via the first conveying device (15) designed as a horizontal conveyor, on which the respective printing plate is required for carrying out a printing plate change, wherein with the help of the or each second conveying device (20) printing plates (16) can be conveyed into the region of the plate cylinder position of a printing unit of the printing tower, on which the respective printing plate is required for carrying out a printing plate change; wherein
    e) the or each first conveying device (15) designed as horizontal conveyor is designed as a circulating endless conveyor, which has a plurality of receiving positions for receiving an individual printing plate each;
    characterized in that
    f) the or each second conveying device (20) comprises at least one handling arm (23), which transports the printing plates in horizontal direction and in vertical direction, wherein the or each handling arm (23) of the second conveying device (20) is designed displaceable in horizontal direction, namely in axial direction of plate cylinders and serves for the handling of an individual printing plate.
  2.
