In den Zeichnungen ist die Handhabung von Verpackungsmaterial im Zusammenhang mit der Fertigung von Packungen dargestellt. Dieser ist vorzugsweise als Tragplatte 41 ausgebildet und im Wesentlichen mittig oberhalb des Arbeitszapfens 33, 34 angeordnet. Jede Tragplatte 41 ist eigenständig bewegbar, nämlich heb- und senkbar. Nun wird der Arbeitszapfen 33, 34 mit Bobine in die horizontale Arbeitsstellung bewegt, wobei der Arbeitszapfen 33, 34 über die offene Seite des Langlochs 43 aus dem Bereich der Tragplatte 41 herausbewegt wird. Diese kann sodann in die obere Ausgangs- bzw. Aufnahmestellung zurückbewegt werden. Wie insbesondere aus Fig. 1 ersichtlich, sind materialverbrauchende Maschinen zu beiden Seiten des Portals 16 bzw. der Reihe der Wickelaggregate 29..32 angeordnet. Bei dem vorliegenden Beispiel ist auf der einen Seite des Bobinenlagers 15 eine Verpackungsmaschine zum Herstellen der Zigarettenpackungen positioniert, nämlich ein HL-Packer 46 für die Fertigung von Hinge Lid Packs. Entsprechend dem üblichen Aufbau dieses Packungstyps werden zwei Materialbahnen dem HL-Packer 46 zugeführt. Eine verhältnismäßig schmale Kragenbahn 47 aus dünnem Karton wird von der Bobine 11 im Bereich des (ersten) Wickelaggregats 29 abgezogen und verläuft entlang einer unteren Förderebene. Des Weiteren wird eine Stanniolbahn 48 zum HL-Packer 46 geführt, und zwar in der oberen Ebene, ausgehend von dem (zweiten) Wickelaggregat 30 mit den Bobinen 10. Claims (15)

  1. An apparatus for supplying production machines associated with the production of cigarette packs or similar packs, in particular for supplying packaging machines, with consumable material, namely webs of paper, thin cardboard, film or tinfoil which are wound in the form of reels (10, 11, 12, 13), it being the case that the reels (10..13) are kept on pallets (14) within a portal (16) which has upright supports (18, 19) and a top, essentially horizontal frame (17) and forms part of a reel store (15), and a respective reel (10..13) can be fed by a robot or portal robot (20), which is connected to the portal (16) and has a lifting head (26), to a respective one of a plurality of winding subassemblies (29..32) with operating spindles (33, 34) for receiving a respective reel (10..13), characterized by the following features:
    a) the in particular plurality of winding subassemblies (29..32) are located outside the portal (16), directly adjacent to a longitudinal side of the same,
    b) the portal robot (20) has an extension arm, in particular an articulated arm (27), which can be pivoted in a horizontal plane and at the free end of which is arranged the lifting head (26) for gripping a reel (10..13),
    c) the extension arm or articulated arm (27) is dimensioned such that, in conjunction with the portal robot (20), which can be displaced in the longitudinal direction of the portal (16), a reel (10..13) can be received from a pallet (14) and transferred to in each case one associated winding subassembly (29..32) outside the portal (16).
  2. The apparatus as claimed in claim 1, characterized in that the extension arm or articulated arm (27) can be moved up and down on an upright robot column (21), and the robot column (21) can be displaced on a longitudinal carrier (22), which is directed toward the winding subassemblies (29..32) and forms part of the portal (16), in the direction of the longitudinal carrier (22), preferably while being supported on a bottom longitudinal profile (28).

The apparatus as claimed in claim 1 or one of the further claims, characterized in that, for the production of packs with a separately made blank, in particular for the production of cigarette packs of the hinge-lid-box type, a separate material store for stacks of blanks is arranged adjacent to a hinge-lid packer (46) and has a stacking station (49) for transferring stacks of blanks to the hinge-lid packer (46), it being possible for the packs which are produced by the hinge-lid packer (46) to be fed by a pack conveyor (51) outside the region of the reel store (15), preferably overhead, to a cellophane packer (52).

The apparatus as claimed in claim 1 or one of the further claims, characterized in that by means of a reel conveyor, in particular by the portal robot (20) or by a lifting head (26) arranged on the extension arm of the portal robot (20), the reels (10..13) can be set down on a movable intermediate carrier in the region of one of the winding subassemblies (29..32) or the like and can be fed from the intermediate carrier to an associated operating spindle (33, 34).

The apparatus as claimed in claim 1 or one of the further claims, characterized in that each winding subassembly (29..32) has two spaced-apart operating spindles (33. 34) which are directed horizontally in the operating position and are intended for a respective reel (10..13), it being possible for the operating spindles (33, 34) to be pivoted independently of one another about a horizontal axis from the horizontal operating position into an upright receiving position in order to receive a reel (10..13) from the intermediate carrier.

  10. The apparatus as claimed in claim 1 or one of the further claims, characterized by the following features:
    a) the reel conveyor, in particular the articulated arm (27) of the portal robot (20), has a lifting head (26) with a downwardly directed transporting or carrying spindle (78) for entering into a central opening (35) in a reel (10..13),
    b) the transporting or carrying spindle (78) is provided, for the purpose of fixing the transporting or carrying spindle (78), with transversely or radially movable clamping jaws (60) which can be moved radially outward by an actuating mechanism, in particular by a bracing cone (61) which can be moved up and down, with bracing surfaces (62) and mating surfaces (63) interacting.
    c) a plurality of crosspiece-like clamping jaws (60) are arranged at equal angular intervals from one another along the circumference of the carrying spindle (78) and can jointly be subjected to the action of the central bracing cone (61).
  11. The apparatus as claimed in claim 10 or one of the further claims, characterized in that the clamping jaws (60) are connected to the bracing cone (61) in a form-fitting manner, but such that they can be moved relative to one another, in particular via a dovetail connection (77) which is directed obliquely in a manner corresponding to the bracing surfaces (62) and mating surfaces (63).
  12. The apparatus as claimed in claim 10 or one of the further claims, characterized by the following features:
    a) the carrying spindle (78) essentially comprises a cylindrical lateral surface (56),
    b) the lateral surface (56) can be moved up and down relative to a carrying part of the carrying spindle (78), in particular relative to a top, transversely directed carrying or head plate (57),
    c) the clamping jaws (60) are connected to the lateral surface (56), in particular are mounted in a radially displaceable manner in a respective aperture (64) in the lateral surface (56),
    d) on account of being subjected to loading by a reel (10), the lateral surface (56) can be moved downward with the clamping jaws (60) relative to the bracing cone (61), in which case the bracing forces are increased by the clamping jaws (60).
  13. The apparatus as claimed in claim 12 or one of the further claims, characterized in that the lateral surface (56), which is designed in the form of a sleeve, is connected to the head plate (57) of the carrying spindle (78) via axis-parallel and/or upright carrying bolts (66), the lateral surface (56) being supported elastically on springs (67), which are arranged on the carrying bolts (66), and being pushed against the head plate (57) in the starting position.
  14. The apparatus as claimed in claim 1 or one of the further claims, characterized by the following features:
    a) a lifting head (26) of a reel conveyor, in particular of a portal robot (20), has a transporting or carrying spindle (78) for entering into a central opening (35) of the reel (10..13),
    b) as a further carrying mechanism for gripping and retaining the reel (10..13), the lifting head (26) has a pneumatic lifting mechanism, in particular a suction bell (69), which can be fixed by means of negative pressure on a top side of the reel (10..13).
    c) the suction bell (69) is preferably of annular design in order to grip a reel (10..13) in a region concentric to the central opening (35) and, in particular, directly adjacent to this opening.
  15. The apparatus as claimed in claim 14 or one of the further claims, characterized in that the suction bell (69) is mounted on the lifting head (26) such that it can be adjusted relative to the carrying spindle (78), in particular on an upright guiding or carrying rod (58), which serves as a connection between the reel conveyor, or an extension arm of the same, and the carrying spindle (78), such that the suction bell (69) can be fixed in any desired position relative to the carrying spindle (78), preferably with the suction bell (69) being connected to a clamping mechanism (75), or a pneumatically activatable clamping cartridge, in order for the position of the suction bell (69) to be fixed in a controllable manner by virtue of the clamping mechanism being arrested.
