Claims (20)

  1. Tamper-evident container (1) for the packaging of products comprising
    - an envelope (2) comprising the space for packing the products, which is closed off by an end member at one extremity and open at the other,
    - closure means (3) such as a cap/cover for the open extremity of the envelope,
    - connection means (4) placed between the closure means (3) and the envelope (2), and
    - a tamper-evident tell-tale (5) which can engage mechanically when the container is finally closed by the closure means after filling,
    the said tamper-evident tell-tale (5) comprising:
    - cuttable securing means (8), provided with a snap connection (9), the said securing means (8) being connected to the said envelope (2) by an incorporated breakable hinge (11), and
    - means for immobilising the snap connection means (9) located in the closure means (3) receiving the said snap connection means (9) of the cuttable securing means (8) , when setting up the tamper-evident tell-tale (5);
    such that in the primed condition the said securing means (8) is positioned parallel to the axis of symmetry of the envelope (2) after rotation about the incorporated breakable hinge (11) and engages the securing means located in the closure means (3) in which the snap connection means (9) adopts its permanent position when the envelope (2) is closed by the closure means (3) to form the tamper-evident tell-tale,
    characterised in that
    - the securing means (8) is positioned in an inset housing (12) located on and outside the open extremity of the envelope (2), and
    - in an unprimed position the said securing means (8) is positioned perpendicular to the axis of symmetry of the envelope (2) within the inset housing (12) and the said incorporated breakable hinge (11) holds the said securing means (8) rigidly in a fixed position in one piece with the said envelope (2).
  2. Tamper-evident container (1) according to claim 1, characterised in that the cuttable securing means (8) which can be released by breaking is a tongue provided with irreversible snap connection means (9).
  3. Tamper-evident container according to claim 2, characterised in that the snap connection means (9) for the cuttable securing means (8) is a hook.
  4. Tamper-evident container (1) according to at least one of claims 1 to 3, characterised in that the means for immobilising the snap connection means (9) located in the closure means (3) is an opening.
  5. Tamper-evident container (1) according to claim 4, characterised in that the opening in the closure means has a polygonal, circular, semi-circular, elliptical or semi-elliptical cross-section.
  6. Tamper-evident container (1) according to at least one of claims 1 to 5, characterised in that the cuttable securing means (8) connected to the envelope (2) by an incorporated breakable hinge (11) is made of one piece laterally with the walls of the inset housing (12) through at least two cuttable attachment points (10) placed in the plane of the said securing means (8).
  7. Tamper-evident container (1) according to at least one of claims 1 to 6, characterised in that the inset housing (12) for the said cuttable locking means (8) is encased in a ring or segment of a ring (7) located outside the upper open extremity of the envelope (2), and slightly set back in relation to the upper edge of the said envelope (2).
  8. Tamper-evident container (1) according to at least one of claims 1 to 6, characterised in that the inset housing (12) for the cuttable locking means (8) comprises two parallel walls (14) positioned on the envelope (2) on either side of the securing means (8), which are themselves parallel to the axis of symmetry of the envelope (2).
  9. Tamper-evident container (1) according to claim 8, characterised in that the upper extremities of the two parallel walls (14) comprise the closure stop for the closure means such as a reclosable cap/cover (3).
  10. Tamper-evident container (1) according to claim 8 or 9, characterised in that the two parallel walls (14) of the inset housing (12) for the cuttable securing means (8) are of a depth equal to at least the length of the securing means (8) and are of a height slightly less than the length of the securing means (8).
  11. Tamper-evident container (1) according to claims 7 and 8, characterised in that the inset housing (12) for the securing means (8) comprises the combination of the two parallel walls (14) and the ring or segment of a ring (7).
  12. Tamper-evident container (1) according to at least one of claims 1 to 11, characterised in that the incorporated breakable hinge (11) of the securing means (8) comprises at least two cuttable hinge points.
  13. Tamper-evident container (1) according to at least one of claims 1 to 11, characterised in that the incorporated breakable hinge (11) of the securing means (8) comprises a continuous cuttable line.
  14. Tamper-evident container (1) according to at least one of claims 1 to 13, characterised in that the container (1) comprises dehydrating means capable of altering the internal atmosphere of the said container once closed.
  15. Tamper-evident container (1) according to at least one of claims 1 to 14, characterised in that the connection means (4) placed between the closure means (3) and the envelope (2) is a hinge of the incorporated type (11) or of the mechanical type with a hinge pin.
  16. Tamper-evident container (1) according to at least one of claims 1 to 15, characterised in that the envelope (2) and the closure means (3) are both made using identical or different thermoplastic polymer compositions.
  17. Tamper-evident container (1) according to at least one of claims 1 to 16, characterised in that the envelope (2) and the closure means (3) are constructed using methods for forming plastics using thermoplastic polymer compositions from the group comprising polyethylenes (PE), polypropylenes (PP), ethylene/propylene copolymers and their mixtures, polyamides (PA), polystyrenes (PS), acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene copolymers (ABS), styrene-acrylonitrile copolymers (SAN), polyvinyl chlorides (PVC), polycarbonates (PC), poly methyl methacrylates (PMMA), or polyethylene-terephthalates (PET), used alone or as mixtures.
  18. Tamper-evident container (1) according to claim 17, characterised in that at least one elastomer of natural or synthetic origin is associated with the thermoplastic compositions, the elastomer or elastomers used being selected from the group comprising elastomers of the natural rubber or synthetic rubber type, in particular mono-olefin rubbers which are polymers of isobutylene/ isoprene, ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA) ethylene-propylene (EPR), ethylene-propylene-diene (EPDM), ethylene-acrylic esters (EMA-EEA), fluorinated polymers, diolefin rubbers such as polybutadienes, butadiene-styrene copolymers (SBR), rubbers based on condensation products such as polyester and polyurethane thermoplastic rubbers, silicones, or styrene rubbers such as styrene-butadiene-styrene (SBS) and styrene-isoprene-styrene (SIS).
  19. Process for the manufacture and use of a tamper-evident container (1) according to at least one of claims 1, 4 and 6 of claims 1 to 18, characterised in that it comprises the stages of:
    a) injection of the envelope (2) and the closure means (3) by the packaging manufacturer,
    b) if appropriate the insertion of an ambient air treatment agent by the packaging manufacturer,
    c) assembly of the envelope (2) and the closure means (3) with closure of the said closure means (3) by the packaging manufacturer,
    d) delivery of the tamper-evident container (1) to the packager,
    e) feeding the filling machine with the containers (1) and products and opening the closure means (3) for the said container (1) directly on the filling line,
    f) filling the container (1) with products,
    g) priming the cuttable points (10) of the tamper-evident tell-tale (5) by breaking by any mechanical means applied to cause it to pass from an unprimed condition to the primed position of the snap connector (9) in the inset opening for the closure means (3),
    h) closure of the closure means (3) after filling,
    i) marketing of the filled container (1),
    j) breaking of the tamper-evident tell-tale (5) by the final user on first opening.
  20. Use of the container (1) according to claims 1 to 18 for the packaging of products of the pharmaceutical, cosmetic, food, veterinary and diagnostic type.
