  • the middle roller thus serves both to transport the sheet to the stacking surface and to roll the sheet onto the stacking surface. Because suitable for the transport of the sheet direction of rotation of the middle roller is consistent with the directions of rotation of the first and the second roller. This represents a significant advantage, for example over the Auflalzvorraum from the mentioned above DE 103 31 018 A1 which is formed by a vertical belt transport. Since the opposite belt rollers always rotate in the opposite direction during a belt transport, one of them always rotates counter to the direction of rolling. This roller or the belt carried on it should not come into contact with the stacking surface because otherwise the uppermost sheet on the stacking surface could be compressed by friction with the belt. In contrast, the middle roll according to the invention serves both to transport the sheet to the stacking surface and to roll the sheet onto the stacking surface.
