Definitions
- the present invention relates to a device for treating a fibrous web, in particular for producing a tissue paper web, with at least one on the one hand by a masking tape and on the other hand by a particular formed by a backing roll web support surface crepe, through which the fibrous web is passed, wherein between masking tape and web support surface a Relative speed is provided and a corresponding method.
- tissue paper webs for this purpose are pressed mechanically in a press nip, wherein the tissue paper web is supported by a roll surface at a first speed.
- the web is picked up by a permeable, woven belt with a textured surface and a second speed, the second speed being less than the first speed.
- the aim is to produce a high-bulk tissue paper web by a so-called creping effect.
- the press nip thus forms a crepe gap here. But it is also possible to press without pressing force and only with a relative speed in the crepe gap.
- An object of the present invention is to achieve a good creping effect while reducing the wear of the masking tape. This object is achieved in that the material and / or the structure of the web support surface and the surface of the masking tape with respect to a reduction of the wear of the masking tape by the operation of the device are coordinated.
- the material and the structure of the web support surface have been selected only for a good creping effect.
- An influence on the wear of the masking tape was previously unknown.
- the masking tape is not separated from the web support surface in the creping gap, but rather that the creping tape or at least the cusps of a structured and rough tape are forced against the web support surface despite the intermediate fibrous web.
- the fibrous web is on the one hand relatively thin and light, namely about 15 g / m 2 to about 40 g / m 2 , and that on the other hand push the bumps due to the Kreppvorganges the fibers of the fibrous web aside.
- the solution according to the invention eliminates these problems.
- the tuning is made so that there is a low coefficient of friction between the masking tape and the web supporting surface.
- a low friction leads to a low wear of the masking tape.
- the bumps of the masking tape made of soft material.
- the bumps preferably have a hardness between about 20 and about 120 Pussey & Jones. This low friction coefficient and low wear of the masking tape can be achieved.
- the web support surface is preferably made of PTFE, while for the masking tape basically any material, in particular a conventional masking tape material can be used.
- PTFE for the web support surface leads to a low coefficient of friction and thus a low wear of the masking tape.
- the creping gap may be preceded by a press nip.
- This can be designed as a long nip, shoe press nip, nip or simply felted nip. The manufacturing process can thereby be further improved.
- the masking tape consists in particular of structured fabric such as TAD fabric or spiral-bonded fabric. Such material has proven to be particularly advantageous for the creping effect.
- the masking tape may be permeable or non-permeable, made of woven or non-woven material. This also benefits can be achieved.
- a drying cylinder in particular Yankee cylinders, may be arranged, and / or a creping gap may be formed on a drying cylinder, in particular Yankee cylinders.
- a drying cylinder By using a drying cylinder, the creping effect can be further improved.
- a press nip can be formed on the drying cylinder through which the fibrous web is led together with the masking tape. Also, this can further improve the creping process.
- the contact area between the masking tape and the drying cylinder and / or between the masking tape and counter-roller is preferably between about 20% and about 70%, more preferably between about 25% and 50% and even more preferably about 30%.
- a very low wear and a very good quality of the tissue paper web can be achieved. Due to the small contact surface in The intermediate areas created pockets in which the high-loft crepe material is absorbed protected. Nevertheless, a good pressure of the fibrous web and a good tensile strength can be achieved by using the drying cylinder.
- the press nip on the drying cylinder may be formed by a suction press roll, press roll or shoe press roll with extended nip. This can be achieved good results.
- the crepe gap may further be formed without mechanical pressing means or with mechanical pressing means. It is also possible to combine different crepe gaps with each other. In this way, the production can be further improved.
- a mechanical pressing means may be provided a soft press roll, a hard press roll or belt press. Such pressing means are particularly suitable for the intended purpose.
- the strip preferably has a tensile strength of at least 40 kN / m, preferably at least 50 kN / m and more preferably at least 60 kN / m.
- the required pressing force can be achieved.
- the device according to the invention is preferably used for fibrous webs with a mass of about 15 g / m 2 to about 40 g / m 2 .
- the problem of wear of the masking tape is particularly large and thus also the advantages achieved by the present invention.
- On the opposite side of the backing roll of the masking tape may also be provided a creping roll or suction press roll. The following properties may be present in the rolls:
- Composite / resin (TOPROCK): 11, 5 to 13.5 mm thick, roughness from 0.5 to 2.5 ⁇ m Ra, hardness 88 to 94 Shore D, fine ground.
