L’invention concerne un circuit d’allumage électronique comprenant un circuit résonnant relié de façon fonctionnelle à un commutateur susceptible d’être commandé, le circuit d’allumage comprenant en outre un moyen de commande du commutateur susceptible d’être commandé en réponse à une intensité déterminée d’un courant circulant dans le circuit résonnant. L’invention concerne en outre un procédé de fonctionnement d’un circuit d’allumage électronique comprenant un circuit résonnant relié de façon fonctionnelle à un commutateur susceptible d’être commandé, le procédé comprenant l’étape consistant à commander le commutateur susceptible d’être commandé en réponse à une intensité déterminée d’un courant circulant dans le circuit résonnant.
