Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Vorrichtung und einen Sand- und/oder Salzkern (1, 1') zum Herstellen eines Zylinderkurbelgehäuses (3) in Closed-Deck-Bauweise, wobei die Vorrichtung aus stationären und beweglichen Formteilen (2, 2') gebildet ist, und der Sandkern (1, 1') formschlüssig in mindestens einem Formteil (2, 2') enthalten ist und der Sandkern (1, 1') mindestens eine Öffnung aufweist, in die ein Haltevorsprung (5 bis 12) des haltenden Formteils (2, 2') hineinreicht, so dass der Sandkern (1, 1') in der Vorrichtung fixiert ist und der Sandkern (1, 1') einen Wassermantelkern (1, 1') des Zylinderkurbelgehäuses (3) bildet, wobei der Haltevorsprung (5 bis 12) mindestens bereichsweise einen Teil einer Außenkontur des Wassermantelkerns (1, 1') bildet.
