Definitions
- the invention relates to a garden implement having at least two implement sections, which are associated with at least one drive motor and a working means coupled thereto, in particular a cutting device, and which are connected to one another in a pivotable manner for use of the garden implement in different functional positions by means of a pivot joint.
- a telescoping hedge trimmer with a handle assembly, a handle attached thereto, and a working head pivotally coupled by a pivoting joint to a handle is known.
- the working head comprises an electrically operable drive motor and a working medium coupled thereto which is designed as a cutting blade of a hedge trimmer.
- the hedge trimmer By pivoting the working head relative to the handle, the hedge trimmer can be placed in different functional positions that ensure a variety of replaceability of the gardening tool.
- One of the functional positions is a transport position in which the gardening tool can be compactly compacted to ensure easy transport and space-saving storage.
- a switching device is provided which is activated during pivoting of the working head from the working area to the transport position and which interrupts the power supply to the drive motor.
- the object of the invention is to provide a garden implement, in which a simple and safe transfer of the device sections is ensured in the different functional positions.
- This object is achieved by a garden implement of the type mentioned, in which the pivot joint switching means are assigned, which are designed for a shutdown and / or blocking of the drive motor and / or the working means at least during pivotal movements of the pivot joint between operating positions of the garden implement.
- the pivot joint switching means are assigned, which are designed for a shutdown and / or blocking of the drive motor and / or the working means at least during pivotal movements of the pivot joint between operating positions of the garden implement.
- the switching means are deactivated, so that a shutdown and / or blocking of the drive motor and / or the working means is canceled.
- At least one transport position may additionally be provided in which the device sections occupy a position relative to one another in which no operation of the garden implement is provided.
- the operating positions and the at least one transport position are functional positions that the gardening device can assume by pivoting the at least two device sections.
- the garden device according to the invention is designed so that during a pivoting operation between two operating positions, an activation of the switching means is provided.
- the activation of the switching means leads to a blocking or shutdown of the drive motor and / or the working fluid.
- the activation of the switching means can be effected in particular by a mechanical, electrical, electronic, hydraulic or pneumatic activation, for example when the pivoting movement is initiated.
- the switching means in turn can cause a mechanical, electrical or electronic shutdown or blocking of the drive motor and / or the working fluid. This ensures that a user can not be injured by an unintentional start-up of the garden implement when adjusting the swivel joint between the operating positions. If at least one transport position is provided for the device sections, the switching means also provide, in the case of a pivoting movement between one of the operating positions and the transport position a shutdown and / or blocking of the drive motor and / or the working means safely. This can additionally ensure that a user at the beginning or at the end of a use of the gardening tool, if a swiveling out of or into the transport position, is also not endangered by an unwanted start-up of the gardening tool.
- the pivot joint by means of a locking device which is movable between a Arretierstellu ⁇ g and a release position, can be fixed.
- the locking device thus ensures safe operation of the garden implement, since in the locked position an unintentional pivoting of the pivot joint and thus an optionally dangerous change in position of the device sections to each other is prevented.
- a pivoting of the device sections can be carried out to adapt the gardening equipment to different conditions of use.
- the locking device may in particular be configured such that a movement from the locking position to the release position is possible only by active action of the user, so that an unwanted pivoting of the device sections can be excluded.
- the locking device is provided for blocking the pivot joint in predetermined pivot positions.
- a particularly stable and easy-to-use design of the locking device can be realized.
- an angular adjustment of the device sections can be realized in a predetermined angular grid, so that an advantageous reproducibility of the angle adjustment, for example, for recurrent use situations of the garden implement, is conceivable.
- the switching means of the locking device are assigned such that upon actuation of the locking device for performing a pivoting operation activation of the switching means and thus a shutdown and / or blocking of the drive motor and / or the working means is ensured. Since an actuation of the locking device is first necessary for a pivoting of the pivot joint, a particularly high level of security with respect to an unwanted startup of the garden implement can be ensured by a coupling of the switching means with the locking device. For this purpose, it may be provided that the activation of the switching means takes place in dependence on a predefinable deflection of the locking device along an actuation path from the locking position into the release position.
- the locking device can be brought into at least one intermediate position between the locking position and the release position, in which a locking of the pivot joint and an activation of the switching means is ensured.
- the intermediate position allows a mechanical locking of the swivel joint, without the gardening device can be put into operation.
- the intermediate position of the locking device may be provided in particular for the at least one transport position of the swivel joint, in which the work equipment is stored in a compact stowed position and the device sections are to be securely locked together, however, in which an undesirable start of the garden implement lead to a significant risk to the user could.
- the locking device has an actuating button which is movably attached to a first device section and which for a positive engagement in a toothing attached to the second device section is provided to ensure the locking of Schwe ⁇ kgelenks.
- the actuating button which may be biased in particular with a compression spring in the locking position, is slidably and / or rotatably mounted on the first device portion and engages in the locking position provided in a provided on the second device portion toothing.
- the toothing is designed differently in partial areas of a pivoting range of the pivot joint, with a first partial area corresponding to an operating pivoting area and a second partial area to a transporting position.
- the toothing is designed in the operating pivoting range such that the pivot joint is locked in a fixed position and the switching means are deactivated, so that a commissioning of the gardening tool is possible.
- a fixed locking of the pivot joint is also ensured.
- the toothing of the locking device in the transport position is set up so that the locking device can only get into the intermediate position, so that the switching means remain activated and a commissioning of gardening equipment is prevented.
- This can be achieved, in particular, by means of a toothing changed with respect to the teeth in the operating pivoting range, for example, a tooth depth can be selected to be smaller, so that the locking device can only be moved from the release position into the intermediate position.
- the partial regions provided with a toothing are spaced apart from one another by untoothed intermediate regions and the at least one untoothed intermediate region is designed such that a locking of the pivoting joint is prevented and activation of the switching element is ensured.
- No toothing is provided in the one or more intermediate areas between the operating pivoting areas and the transport position (s).
- this does not mean that the locking device passes into the locked position for lack of toothing and deactivation of the switching means and thus a release of the drive motor or the working fluid.
- an at least substantially continuous rail which runs in sections on the corresponding device section, is provided on the pivot joint.
- This rail prevents deflection of the locking device, in particular the push button, from the release position into the intermediate position or the locking position, so that neither a locking of the pivot joint nor a commissioning of the garden implement is possible.
- angular positions can be determined constructively within an angular range which can be absorbed by the swivel joint, which are necessary for transferring the device sections between operating pivot areas and / or transport positions, but in which neither provision of the swivel joint nor operation of the garden implement is provided.
- At least one operating pivoting range the pivot angle of at least 60 degrees, preferably covered by at least 90 degrees, and at least one untoothed intermediate region, which covers a pivot angle of at least 40 degrees, preferably 70 degrees, and at least one transport position are provided.
- the transport position is spaced over the untoothed intermediate region of the operating position such that a compact folding of the gardening device is ensured in the transport position.
- a commissioning of the garden implement is only possible in the operating pivot range due to the correspondingly shaped toothing, since the pushbutton can only reach the locking position in this subarea.
- the toothing can be realized in particular with an angular division to 5 degrees, so that in a Radioschwenk Scheme of 90 degrees a total of 19 different angular positions can be taken.
- the actuating button is movable substantially parallel to a pivot axis of the pivot joint and the toothing is mounted on a substantially cylindrically shaped outer surface of a device section and is aligned substantially parallel to the pivot axis.
- the attachment of the teeth on an outer surface of a device section means that the power transmission via the teeth and the push button takes place at a maximum distance from the pivot axis of the pivot joint, so that the forces to be transmitted are at a low level.
- the switching means are designed as interruption switch for a power supply, in particular for a power supply to the drive motor. This can be ensured that in a deflection of the locking device from the Arret istssteliung unwanted commissioning of the gardening device is prevented.
- the breaker switch is switched to a supply circuit of the drive motor and can directly interrupt the power supply in a designed as an electric motor drive motor.
- the circuit breaker can be purchased as a separate component and tested and is mounted in the appropriate device section and integrated with pre-assembled cable connections in the circuit.
