Definitions
- the present invention relates to a method for reducing interference power in a directional microphone by providing at least a first, a second and a third microphone signal, first adaptively filtering the first and second microphone signal in a first direction, wherein a direction-determining first parameter is adapted such that the Sum of noise power is reduced, and second adaptively filtering the second and third microphone signals with respect to the first direction, wherein a direction determining second parameter is adapted such that the sum of noise power is also reduced.
- the present invention relates to a corresponding acoustic system with directional microphone.
- the present invention is directed to a hearing aid.
- Hearing aids are portable hearing aids that are used to care for the hearing impaired.
- different types of hearing aids such as behind-the-ear hearing aids (BTE) and in-the-ear hearing aids (ITO), e.g. Concha hearing aids, provided.
- BTE behind-the-ear hearing aids
- ITO in-the-ear hearing aids
- the hearing aids listed by way of example are worn on the outer ear or in the ear canal.
- bone conduction hearing aids, implantable or vibrotactile hearing aids are also available on the market. The stimulation of the damaged hearing takes place either mechanically or electrically.
- Hearing aids have in principle as essential components an input transducer, an amplifier and an output transducer.
- the input transducer is usually a sound receiver, z. As a microphone, and / or an electromagnetic receiver, for. B. an induction coil.
- the output transducer is usually used as an electroacoustic transducer, z. B. miniature speakers, or as an electromechanical transducer, z. B. bone conduction, realized.
- the amplifier is usually integrated in a signal processing unit.
- FIG. 1 shown using the example of a behind-the-ear hearing aid.
- a hearing aid housing 1 for carrying behind the ear one or more microphones 2 for receiving the sound from the environment are installed.
- a signal processing unit 3 which is also integrated in the hearing aid housing 1, processes the microphone signals and amplifies them.
- the output signal of the signal processing unit 3 is transmitted to a loudspeaker or earpiece 4, which outputs an acoustic signal.
- the sound is optionally transmitted via a sound tube, which is fixed with an earmold in the ear canal, to the eardrum of the device carrier.
- the power supply of the hearing device and in particular of the signal processing unit 3 is carried out by a likewise integrated into the hearing aid housing 1 battery. 5
- FIG. 1 Such a known second order differential directional microphone is shown schematically. It will is formed by three adaptive differential directional microphones of the first order DM1, DM2 and DM3. Three microphones M1, M2 and M3 record a time-dependent sound signal s (t).
- a microphone noise signal n1 (t) or n2 (t) mixes with the ideal microphone signals.
- the respective sum signals are digitized with an analog-to-digital converter A / D, so that the mirophone signals x 1 (k) and x 2 (k) result.
- the differential microphone DM1 subtracts the two microphone signals x 1 (k) and x 2 (k) crosswise, as is known for directional microphones. In this case, the signals are delayed in the corresponding paths with timers T and a difference signal is multiplied by an adaptation parameter a. The resulting signals are added so that a first intermediate signal z 1 (k) is obtained.
- the output signal of the third microphone M3 is disturbed by microphone noise n3 (t) and the corresponding sum signal to a microphone output signal x 3 (k) digitally converted.
- the differential microphone DM2 processes the microphone signals x 2 (k) and x 3 (k) into a second intermediate signal z 2 (k), as the first differential microphone DM1 the two signals x 1 (k) and x 2 (k) to the Intermediate signal z 1 (k) processed.
- the adaptation in the second differential microphone DM2 takes place with the same adaptation parameter a as with the first differential microphone DM1. In the first directional microphone stage with the two differential microphones DM1 and DM2, therefore, only one signal weighting with the single factor a takes place.
- the intermediate signals z 1 (k) and z 2 (k) are processed in the differential microphone DM3 to an output signal y (k), wherein in this second stage, a signal weighting factor b takes place.
- the equalization is in the 0 ° direction.
- the directional microphone of the second order in the first stage, an attenuation in a first direction (defined by the parameter a) and in the second stage attenuation in a second direction (defined by the parameter b) is set.
- this directional microphone second order for frequencies below 1.5 to 2 kHz only a limited directivity.
- the hearing system comprises a hearing aid and a microphone arrangement with a plurality of microphones, which the hearing device wearer can hang around his neck.
- Different automatic gain control (AGC) can be applied to the individual Frequency bands are applied.
- the signals from microphone pairs are summed and bandpass filtered. A resulting signal is transmitted inductively to the hearing aid.
- AGC automatic gain control
- the object of the present invention is therefore to improve the effect of a directional microphone and to propose a corresponding method or an acoustic system for this purpose.
- this object is achieved according to claim 1 by a method for reducing interference power in a directional microphone by providing at least a first, a second and a third microphone signal, first adaptively filtering the first and second microphone signal with respect to a first direction, wherein a direction-determining first parameter such adapted to reduce the sum of spurious power and second adaptively filtering the second and third microphone signals with respect to the first direction, wherein a direction determining second parameter is adapted to reduce the sum of spurious power, and wherein the first parameter is from the second Parameter is different.
- an acoustic system with directional microphone comprising at least three microphones for providing first, second and third microphone signals, first filter means for adaptively filtering the first and second microphone signals with respect to a first direction, whereby a direction determining first parameter is adaptable in that the sum of interference power is reduced, and a second filter device for adaptively filtering the second and third microphone signals with respect to the first direction, wherein a direction determining second parameter is adaptable such that the sum of interference power is reduced, and wherein the first parameter of the first filter device is different from the second parameter of the second filter device.
- each filter can thus be adjusted individually, even if only one direction is to be damped. As a result, the real acoustic environments are better taken into account.
- the first parameter and the second parameter are connected to each other via an adjustable third parameter.
- the third parameter may represent the difference or double difference between the first and second parameters.
- the first and second filters may each be through a first order filter, with the filter outputs of the two filters being applied to a third first order filter for filtering in a second direction.
- a directivity of high quality can be achieved.
- the filtering can be done separately in several subbands. In this way, the sum of the interference power can be reduced in a more targeted manner.
- the acoustic system is a hearing aid equipped with a corresponding directional microphone.
- the noise power can then be increased significantly in a particularly advantageous manner, among other things, the speech intelligibility.
- FIG. 3 the directional diagram of the first differential microphone DM1 of the known directional microphone of FIG. 2 shown.
- the magnitude of the angle of greatest attenuation is due to geometric arrangement of the microphones M1 and M2 slightly below 90 °.
- FIG. 4 shows the corresponding directional diagram for the differential microphone DM2 of FIG. 2 .
- the third differential microphone of the first order DM3 of the directional microphone of the second order of FIG. 2 leads to a maximum attenuation at approximately the angle 180 °.
- the directional microphone second order of FIG. 2 the directional diagram of FIG. 5 , Accordingly, an attenuation takes place substantially from the 180 ° direction, while the 90 ° direction and the - 90 ° direction are only slightly attenuated. This low attenuation in the +/- 90 ° direction results from the fact that the adaptation parameter a is the same for both differential microphones DM1 and DM2.
- A1 represents the adaptation parameter of the differential microphone DM1, a2 the adaptation parameter of the differential microphone DM2, and b the adaptation parameter of the differential microphone DM3. If an adaptation rule for the parameters a1, a2 and b is developed from the latter matrix, it turns out, however, that this does not always or not always lead to a convergent adaptation method. Adaptation techniques tend to choose a1 and a2 such that the corresponding directional microphones try to cancel sounds from different directions. An automatic adaptation method is therefore not possible with conventional methods if the two parameters a1 and a2 are completely independent of each other.
- the two adaptation parameters a1 and a2 are dependent on one another via a third parameter ⁇ .
- the corresponding directional microphone of the second order is in FIG. 6 played.
- the structure of the directional microphone corresponds to that of the directional microphone of FIG. 2 .
- the differential microphones DM1 'and DM2' have the adaptation parameters a + ⁇ and a- ⁇ , respectively, so that the intermediate signals z 1 '(k) and z 2 ' (k) and consequently the output signal y '(k).
- This parameterization of the directional microphone of the second order results in the following modified " ⁇ -MBAT matrix" for the connection of the signals: 1 a + ⁇ + b a + ⁇ ⁇ b - a + ⁇ + b - 2 + a + ⁇ ⁇ b + a - ⁇ ⁇ b - a - ⁇ + b a - ⁇ ⁇ b a - b + ⁇ 1
- adaptation instructions for these parameters can be developed analogously to the known adaptation rules from the above document.
- ⁇ eg maximum / minimum +/- 0.2
- FIGS. 7 and 8 show the two directional diagrams of the microphones whose adaptation parameter a has been varied by ⁇ .
- both microphones DM1 'and DM2' a maximum attenuation in the desired 90 ° direction here.
- FIG. 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 illustrated directivity diagrams refer to a specific frequency.
- the attenuations by directional microphones are frequency dependent. It has been shown that a directional microphone according to the approach of FIG. 6 also shows a significant attenuation for sound signals from 500 Hz upwards. This is in FIG. 10 for the two angles 90 ° and 180 °.
- a significant attenuation takes place only from about 2 kHz. This applies both to disturbances from the 90 ° and from the 180 ° direction (see dashed lines in FIG FIG. 10 ).
