Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a method and a device for cleaning workpieces, in particular machined workpieces, to which liquid and / or solid impurities, in particular oils, fats, emulsions and / or chips adhere.
Various methods and devices for the above-mentioned purpose are known from industrial practice.
A first known prior art is to wash the workpieces in washing containers, which receive a usually heated cleaning liquid, and then to dry after removal from the washing container by heating, for example by means of hot air, or by blowing off with compressed air. The disadvantage here are the great technical effort and energy expenditure for the cleaning baths and the problem of disposal of the cleaning liquid.
Another known prior art is to clean the workpieces without a washing process with the combined use of vibration and suction. Although it is possible to achieve good cleaning results without a washing process, it can, in cases with persistent Impurities lead to incomplete cleaning.
For the present invention, therefore, the task of providing a method and an apparatus of the type mentioned above, which avoid the disadvantages set out and with which under all circumstances occurring in practice a thorough and complete and in terms of energy consumption and disposal problem-prone cleaning of workpieces is achieved.
- a) the workpiece is placed in a mold surrounding it leaving a gap,
- b) the workpiece is set in a vibratory motion,
- c) during the oscillation movement of the workpiece, a stream of a cleaning liquid is passed through the gap for a presettable period of time and removed from the gap and the mold,
- d) then either a stream of a drying gas is passed through the gap and discharged from the gap and the mold or the gap is placed under a vacuum and for a predetermined period of time
- e) the workpiece is removed from the mold.
With the method according to the invention a particularly intensive cleaning and thus complete removal of all impurities is achieved. Characterized in that the flow of cleaning fluid is passed through the gap surrounding the workpiece within the mold, only a relative requires low volume of cleaning fluid, which makes expensive and large cleaning baths with large liquid containers dispensable. The cleaning process by the stream of cleaning fluid is assisted by the vibrational motion of the workpiece, since the vibratory motion provides for loosening and mobilizing the adhering contaminants on the workpiece. Finally, by the drying gas or the vacuum, the workpiece is still dried within the mold, after which it is then clean and also free of cleaning fluid for further processing or use available. Since only small amounts of liquid are required in the cleaning method according to the invention, an economical operation is to be expected with low costs.
Further, the invention provides that during the step d) the oscillatory movement of the workpiece is maintained. In this embodiment of the method, the drying operation of the workpiece is assisted by the vibration movement, whereby a shortening of the drying process can be achieved.
Further, the invention provides that the workpiece is held selectively or small area in the form of a vibratory clamping device. By means of this clamping device is then expediently the workpiece is placed in the above-mentioned oscillation movement, wherein the mold surrounding the workpiece is not involved in the oscillatory motion, but moves the workpiece relative to the mold in this. Of course, the mold is so far away from the workpiece that it does not come to mutual collisions in the oscillatory motion. The selective or small-area holding of the workpiece on the clamping device ensures that the surface of the workpiece is not appreciable is covered, so that virtually no unpurified areas remain. By re-clamping the workpiece, if necessary, the workpiece surface areas temporarily concealed during clamping can also be cleaned.
In order to increase the cleaning and drying effect, according to a further embodiment of the method, the workpiece can be rotated or moved continuously or stepwise in the mold.
In order to bring the workpiece as simple as possible in the form and to be able to remove from this, it is further provided that the mold is opened and closed for the introduction and removal of the workpiece. This also facilitates automation of the process.
Further features and embodiments of the method according to the invention are evident from the claims 6 to 22.
- a) an openable and closed mold into which the workpiece can be introduced while leaving a gap surrounding it,
- b) at least one vibration generator, with which the workpiece is set into a vibratory movement,
- c) means for passing a stream of a cleaning liquid through the gap and for discharging the flow of the cleaning liquid from the gap and the mold for a predetermined period of time during the oscillatory movement of the workpiece and
- d) means for either passing a stream of a drying gas through the gap and for discharging the flow of the drying gas from the gap and the mold for a predetermined period of time or to evacuate the gap for a predetermined period of time.
With the above-mentioned device, the inventive method can be carried out technically reliable.
An example of the method and the device according to the invention are explained below with reference to a drawing.
The sole figure of the drawing shows a device for cleaning workpieces in a plan view.
In the front part of the device 1, which is shown on the left in the drawing, a table 20 is provided, on which a two-
The
Behind the table 20 with the
For cleaning the introduced into the
After a sufficient time for the cleaning of the
Simultaneously or subsequently, air is sucked in from the environment via an
The drying air flow and residues of the cleaning liquid still contained therein are separated from each other in the
An over time in the device 1 resulting excess of cleaning liquid by entry with the
The insertion of the
