  • the test object is filled with a test gas and leakage of test gas is sucked by the sniffer probe and detected by the gas detector.
  • the sniffer probe is guided along the test object in the vicinity of various leak-critical points and held there for a suitable measuring time.
  • the quality or tightness of the individual test object can be determined from the leak rate of the measuring point with the highest leak rate and / or from the sum of the leak rate of the measuring points.

  • the invention has for its object to provide a sniffer leak detector, which is user-friendly and allows the user to pay more attention to the test object and the leadership of the sniffer probe.
  • the sniffer leak detector of the present invention is defined by claim 1. It has, in addition to the display, a tactile display device and / or an acoustic display device for detecting a gas and / or for leak rate information.
