Definitions

  • the invention relates to an electrical connection element, for example, for a lamp holder, for screwless connection of at least one provided with an insulating electrical conductor to at least one electrical contact, comprising an insulating housing with a slot for the electrical conductor and a plug-in channel in the insertion direction downstream connecting terminal, which holding electrical conductor against its insertion direction in the connection element and its electrical connection and with at least one arranged in the insertion channel and acting on the Isolierumhüllung clamping element.
  • connection elements are known from the prior art, for example DE 40 00 407 A1 .
  • GB 2 170 961 which is considered to be the nearest state of the art, or also DE 29 00 673 A1 well known.
  • the latter document discloses an insulating housing, which on the one hand has a terminal contact and on the other hand a plug-in channel for an electrical conductor.
  • a clamping spring which is electrically connected to the connection contact and which can be spread apart in the direction of insertion by an electrical conductor and forms an electrical connection with a stripped-off part of the electrical conductor. Due to their orientation in the direction of insertion, retraction of the electrical conductor leads to a clamping force increase, which makes it difficult to release the electrical conductor.
  • the insulating housing also has arranged in the insertion channel clamping elements, which can also expand in the insertion direction and act on the Isolierumhüllung of the electrical conductor. These clamping elements prevent inadvertent retraction of the electrical conductor against the insertion direction.
  • connection elements may serve the mere connection of two electrical conductors or be part of, for example, a lamp socket and advantageously allow a particularly simple, screwless connection of the electrical conductor.
  • connection elements sufficiently secure the electrical conductor against an exclusively retracting force, but that the electrical conductor can be released relatively easily, even unintentionally, from the connection element by means of a combined tension-rotational movement. This occurs, for. B. often when lamp components such as lampholders are processed in harnesses or when lamp sockets are mounted in the form of a flying wiring to lamp sockets.
  • the object of the invention is therefore to provide an electrical connection element which securely holds the electrical conductor in the connection element.
  • an electrical connection element according to claim 1, in particular with the characterizing features, according to which the clamping element is designed as in the insertion direction, in the Isolierumhüllung axially engaging clamping rib.
  • connection terminal is sufficient to absorb tensile forces against the insertion direction safely.
  • the electric Head is therefore determined safely in the connection element according to the invention. Therefore, it is possible to dispense with the hitherto known clamping element, which acts only counter to the direction of insertion on the insulating covering of the electrical conductor. This results in the further significant advantage that connection elements according to the invention can be made simpler and also smaller.
  • An advantageous embodiment of the invention proposes that the clamping element in the insertion direction with respect to an inner circumferential surface of the insertion channel has a slope. This configuration facilitates the insertion of the electrical conductor, since the engagement depth of the clamping element continuously increases over the insertion path and the maximum insertion force must be applied only at the end of the insertion movement.
  • the insertion channel is conical in the insertion direction of the electrical conductor, there is a positive guidance of the electrical conductor with respect to the clamping element. This ensures that - within certain limits - conductors of different diameters in the insertion channel can be securely positioned and the clamping element engages securely in the Isolierumhüllung. A passing of the electrical conductor on the clamping element is almost impossible.
  • the clamping element has an engaging in the Isolierumhüllung clamping edge, especially if the clamping edge is formed similar cutting means or at least one pointing to the electrical conductor acute-angled edge forms.
  • Such a clamping edge secures a particular in solid Isolierumhüllungen firm engagement in selbige, at the same time the required insertion force is substantially reduced.
  • a particularly preferred, advantageous embodiment is characterized in that in the insertion channel a plurality of internally circumferentially spaced clamping elements are arranged, in particular when spaced substantially uniformly spaced inside the clamping channel three clamping elements are arranged in the insertion channel, since in this way the anti-rotation is substantially improved.
  • Fig. 1 the connecting element 10 is shown in a view of a slide-in channel 12, wherein the viewing direction in the Fig. 2 shown insertion direction E is.
  • the associated Fig. 2 shows the electrical connection element in a sectional view along the section line II in Fig. 1 according to the view arrows A.
  • the electrical connection element 10 comprises an insulating housing 11, which forms an insertion channel 12 for an electrical conductor 13.
  • a space 14 which is the drawer channel 12 downstream in the direction of insertion E, a connection terminal 15 for electrical contact with the conductor 13 is arranged.
  • the insertion channel 12 has an inner peripheral surface 16 tapering in the direction of insertion E, which forms three clamping elements 17 spaced apart uniformly from one another. These are aligned in the direction of a insertion channel longitudinal axis M or in the direction of the electrical conductor 13.
  • the clamping elements 17 are arcuate in cross-section, wherein the in Fig. 2 at each clamping element 17 existing second semicircular arc symbolizes the longitudinal extent of the clamping elements 17 in the insertion direction E.
  • the connecting terminal 15 comprises two legs 18 and 19, wherein the first leg 18 of the arrangement of the connecting terminal is used on a housing inner wall and the second leg 19 forms the actual clamping leg.
  • the in Fig. 2 illustrated electrical conductor 13 has an insulated enclosure 21 provided with an insulated portion 21 and a bare portion 20, in which the Isolierumhüllung 22 has been removed.
  • the electrical conductor 13 is inserted with its stripped end 20 ahead in the insertion direction E in the insertion channel 16, wherein the clamping elements 17 are preferably dimensioned so that the bare portion 20 can slide past them unhindered.
  • Fig. 3 the electrical conductor 13 fixed in the connecting element is shown.
  • the stripped end 20 passes through an opening 23 in the space 14, wherein he deflects the spring leg 19, which is aligned in the direction of insertion E, from its trajectory and submerged below it. Due to the elasticity of the clamping leg 19, this presses against the deflection, so that the bare portion 20 is pressed securely from the spring leg 19 to a contact pad 24 for establishing an electrical connection.
  • the Clamping leg 19 a movement of the electrical conductor 13 against the insertion direction E.
  • a portion of the insulated portion 21 of the electrical conductor 13 is further inserted, wherein the diameter of the insertion channel 12 and the dimensions of the clamping elements 17 are selected so that they engage with clamping in the Isolierumhüllung 22.
  • This engagement of the clamping elements 17 in the Isolierumhüllung is schematically in Fig. 4 shown. It should be noted, however, that the Isolierumhüllung from the clamping bodies 17 in no case cut to the electrically conductive element 25 within the insulating sheath 22 of the conductor 13, but always a sufficiently strong layer of Isolierumhüllung 22 between the conductive element 25 and the clamping elements 17 is maintained ,
  • the Fig. 5 and 6 as well as 7 and 8 basically correspond to the representations of the Fig. 1 and 2 , Also to the 3 and 4 Given functional description of the connecting element 10 according to the invention is to be read on these representations.
  • the clamping elements 17 have a substantially triangular cross-section and is aligned with its acute-angled clamping edge 26 in the direction of the insertion longitudinal axis M and the electrical conductor 13. Due to the triangular cross section, the clamping elements 17 form in the Fig. 5 and 6 a cutting-like clamping edge 17, which extends substantially from a insertion channel mouth region to the opening 23 out.
  • Such cutting-like clamping edge 26 is to be provided in particular for electrical conductors 13 with a very strong Isolierumhüllung.
  • FIG. 7 and 8th show the Fig. 7 and 8th an electrical connection element 10 with clamping bodies 17, which have a substantially trapezoidal cross-section. Consequently, the clamping body 17 form in the Fig. 7 and 8th two clamping edges 26.
  • the sectional view in Fig. 8 according to the section line VII-VII in Fig. 7 shows, moreover, that the clamping edges 26 are not aligned parallel to each other in this embodiment, but extends the distance between the clamping edges 26 in the insertion direction E. This increases the clamping forces exerted on the insulating sheath 22 of the conductor 13.
  • the orientation of the clamping elements 17 to be recognized from the figures in the insertion direction E or the axial orientation with respect to the insertion longitudinal axis M or the electrical conductor and the axial engagement of the clamping elements 17 in the insulating sheath 22 of the electrical conductor 13 effectively prevent the disadvantageous rotational mobility described above of the electrical conductor 13 in the insertion channel 12.
  • the clamping leg 19 of the connection terminal 15 also prevents movement of the electrical conductor 13 against the insertion direction E. Consequently, the electrical connection element 10 of the invention sets the electrical conductor tensile and rotationally fixed and prevents unintentional loosening and slipping out of the electrical Ladder 13, especially when the conductor 13 not only train but also rotating movements are performed.
  • clamping elements 17 - unlike shown in the figures consistently - do not necessarily have to extend from the insertion channel mouth region to the opening 23.
  • clamping elements 17 realize the principle of the invention. They also prevent the possible in the prior art, disadvantageous rotational movement of the conductor 13 in the connection element 10th
