Figur 1 zeigt einen erfindungsgemäßen Tachographen DTCO, der so ausgebildet ist, dass er die Funktion nach dem erfindungsgemäßen Verfahren aufweist. In dem nachfolgenden Bedienschritt (Darstellung der Anzeige: 2b5) bestätigt der Fahrer die Nachfrage der Anzeige 4 nach einem manuellen Nachtrag mittels des Bedienelementes 3 mit JA und trägt während der anschließenden Schritte (Darstellung der Anzeige: 2b6 bis 2b13) die durchgeführten Aktivitäten manuell ein. Hierbei wird er von der Anzeige 4 informierend geführt und während des Schrittes mit der Darstellung 2b12 schließlich befragt, ob die Eingaben korrekt sind. In der ersten Ebene (Darstellung der Anzeige in der Menüstruktur M: E1) hat er die Möglichkeit zwischen einem Ausdruck für einen ersten Fahrer (Darstellung der Anzeige in der Menüstruktur M: E1a), einem Ausdruck für einen zweiten Fahrer (Darstellung der Anzeige in der Menüstruktur M: Elb), einen Ausdruck für das Fahrzeug (Darstellung der Anzeige in der Menüstruktur M: E1c), eine Eingabe für das Fahrzeug (Darstellung der Anzeige in der Menüstruktur M: E1d) und einer Anzeige für das Fahrzeug (Darstellung der Anzeige in der Menüstruktur M: E1e) zu wählen.
