Definitions
- the invention relates to processes for the preparation of paper fiber raw materials according to the preamble of claim 1.
- SC and LWC papers Paper grades to be smoothed by Supercalender (SC) or coated in a thin paper web (LWC).
- SC Supercalender
- LWC thin paper web
- these grades are used as graphic papers, where the quality requirements are known to be particularly high. Since such papers are relatively thin, often only a tenth of a millimeter thick after the satin finish, it is important that the raw materials contain only those fibers that do not interfere with these thin sheet shapes or make the paper appear uneven. It is also to avoid that soft pulp fibers are compressed so much by hard fibers or hard fiber fragments in the satinization that the opacity is lost ("black satin").
- Pulp-containing raw materials may be waste paper, fresh wood pulp or a mixture of both.
- Wood pulp fibers are obtained by the "timber either mechanically (MP) or thermo-mechanical (TMP) or mechanically processed with the aid of chemicals (CTMP) is.
- CMP thermo-mechanical
- CP chemically digested pulps
- Woodfree pulps can also contain hard, stiff fibers that interfere with the production of thin papers.
- the invention is based on the object, a method for the treatment of paper fiber raw materials, in particular wood pulp-containing raw materials, such. Waste paper to create, with the most extensive protection of the fibers a paper pulp can be produced, which meets the requirements already mentioned.
- Texture in particular thickness and / or rigidity for the specified
- the effect is to make the fibers more flexible without significantly reducing their length.
- the fiber surface is not or significantly less fibrillated. 3.
- the specific grinding work to achieve the desired strengths is generally lower.
- the process can be combined with further grinding steps.
- the fractionation can be carried out in pressure sorters with slotted or perforated sieves at about 3 to 4% consistency (solids content) (possibly also 1 to 1, 5%).
- the screens can have a smooth surface.
- a hydrocyclone fractionation can be carried out in which stiff fibers, but especially fiber fragments, enter the overflow with the help of strong centrifugal fields and edge effects on the inner wall of the hydrocyclone. These are just the parts that come mainly from the wood pulp and are still too stiff and / or too thick. Often they are less swollen and therefore significantly heavier than the suspension. For hydrocyclone fractionation, the most favorable range is about 1% consistency.
- Fractionation can be multi-step to increase the selectivity.
- the combination of screening devices and hydrocyclones eg in two successive stages
- Both methods often have different separation characteristics, so that a combination can lead to a better selectivity.
- the choice of the sequence offers a further possibility of influencing the fractionation effect.
- FIG. 1 shows an exemplary process scheme for carrying out the method according to the invention
- FIG. 2 shows schematically an example of a method suitable for the method
- the process scheme shown in Fig. 1 represents the essential process steps of the invention by way of example.
- the pulp suspension S dissolved e.g. in the pulper, and after a removal of contaminants in a fractionation 1 is introduced.
- This is e.g. a wet sieving, which works with very small slits whose width is preferably about 0.1 to 0.2 mm.
- Such slits pass with the fine fraction 2 only soft and thin fibers, with the result that the hard, rigid yet not suitable for the desired paper quality fibers are concentrated in the overflow 3 of the fractionation 1.
- This is then ground in a special grinding process, the compression milling 4, very gently.
- the grinding device is only hinted at here.
- the grinding energy supplies a motor 15.
- FIG. 2 shows, by way of example, a grinding device for compression grinding with which the method can be carried out. It has a horizontal grinding cylinder 7 in which a plurality of uniformly arranged around the circumference of the grinding rollers 8 are. This figure shows five grinding rollers 8. Their total number is 8. The grinding rollers are each provided with a larger number of grinding strips 9, which can also be described as a knife.
- a grinding zone is formed between the grinding roller 8 and the grinding cylinder 7, namely at the point at which the inner wall of the grinding cylinder 7 and the grinding bars 9 are closest.
- the grinding rollers 8 are pressed radially against the inner wall of the grinding cylinder 7.
- a spring 10 is shown.
- the grinding rollers 8 are rotatably mounted with fixed axes of rotation. They can be fixed, for example, by way of two stands 11 extending axially into the grinding cylinder.
- the grinding cylinder 7 is rotated by a drive roller 12 in rotation.
- the grinding rollers 8 do not require their own drive, since they are placed on the inner wall of the grinding cylinder 7 in rotation. This means a substantial simplification of the grinding device.
- the aqueous suspended paper fibers are brought by means of one or more pipes 13 in the vicinity of the inner wall.
- Such a pipeline Such a pipeline
- the grinding rollers are not shown.
- the aqueous suspended paper fibers form as a fibrous material layer 14 on its inner wall. Since both the pipe 13 and the stator 11 are arranged fixed in space, it is easily possible, the
- Circumferential direction accelerates and spreads to the inner wall of the
- This device described in FIG. 2 is known from DE 103 37 921.
