Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a park bench with at least one seat, which is formed from a plurality of longitudinal beams and a bench frame comprising legs and at least the seat-supporting elements.
  • Park benches of interest here are public seating with or without backrest, see eg JP 2000316672 .
  • Such park benches must take into account aesthetic aspects, have an acceptable seating comfort, have a high level of robustness and still be cost-effective.
  • Such public park benches are only cost effective if they have low wear and low maintenance costs. The maintenance costs consist to a considerable extent in the cleaning of the seat and backrest surfaces.
  • Park benches with a variety of longitudinal spars made of wood have proved their worth in terms of seating comfort. Wooden seats heat up less in the sun than metal seats and feel less in winter cold. Their smooth surface makes them easy to clean. A disadvantage of seats which are formed from wooden longitudinal members is the vulnerability. If a hard object falls on the seat surface or if it is scratched into it with a knife, the surface is damaged and correspondingly fungicidal infestation takes place at these points. Accordingly, such banks must be repainted from time to time. The smooth, relatively flat surfaces of such wooden lamellae causes it to accumulate water and accordingly has an algae and spore attack, so that the surfaces start green. Of course, the latter applies in particular when such park benches are usefully placed in a shady area.
  • the park bench is designated overall by 1. It has a multiplicity of longitudinal bars 2, which on the one hand define a seat surface 6 and, on the other hand, a backrest surface 7. All longitudinal beams 2 are screwed onto lateral end plates 3. These end plates 3 may be part of a bank frame, form the bank frame itself or be connected to a separate bank frame 4.
  • cover plates 5 may be present, as shown here, which are screwed onto the bench frame 4 and all screws with which the longitudinal bars are connected to the end plates 3 and the screws by means of which the bank frame are connected to the end plates 3 cover.
  • the bench frame 4 and the end plates 3 need not be separate elements.
  • the purpose of separating these elements is that this results in a modular construction of the park bench, in which various designs of face plates by means of which the design of the seat 6 and the backrest surface 7 are determined, can be combined with different bank racks.
  • the FIG. 3 shows a solution in which the bench frame 4 has legs 8 which are slightly outwardly directed, while the FIG. 4 a bench frame 4 shows, in which the legs 8 are arranged to extend inwardly inclined and the legs are connected to each other on the side surface by means of a reinforcing strut 9.
  • bent or welded tabs 10 are provided at right angles thereof, which serve to secure the park bench on the floor space.
  • FIGS. 5 and 6 purely show, for example, two embodiments of longitudinal beams 2 in cross section.
  • the aluminum profile itself is completely black.
  • the cross section of the aluminum profile section is oval.
  • the aluminum profile has a closed peripheral wall 22 and a diametrically extending transverse rib 23.
  • the transverse rib 23 is thickened in the middle and in this thickening 24 extends a longitudinal bore 25.
  • Across the entire circumference of the peripheral wall 22 a plurality of longitudinally extending sliding ribs 26 are present.
  • the sliding ribs 26 have two tasks to accomplish. On the one hand, they should, as the name already expresses, reduce the sliding resistance when mounting the rubber-elastic casing 21 by reducing the sliding surface. On the other hand, however, the sliding ribs should also serve to ensure that the rubber-elastic casing 21 does not twist when it is being pulled up. Instead of sliding ribs and sliding grooves could be present, which would have the same effect.
  • the rubber-elastic casing 21 is usually in the form of a hose. To apply this hose on the aluminum profile, it must be preheated to increase the elasticity and also on the aluminum profile a corresponding lubricant must be applied. In addition to certain fats or oils so lubricants, especially soapy water come into question. Thanks to the sliding ribs 26, the lubricant can be displaced between the sliding ribs and so still enters the area of the ribs to facilitate the mounting.
  • the aluminum profile sections 20 may also have a rounded at least at the corners rectangular cross-sectional shape.
  • a diametrical rib 23, which runs parallel to the two short side surfaces, is also present here.
  • the thickening 24 is provided, which in turn is penetrated by a longitudinal bore 25.
  • the sliding ribs 26 are present.
  • the longitudinal bore 25 is provided on one side with a longitudinal slot 27, wherein the longitudinal slot is directed to one of the two short side surfaces.
  • the transverse rib 23 is provided on both sides with wall reinforcements 28 in the regions of the longitudinal side surfaces of the aluminum profile sections. In this wall reinforcements 28 blind holes can optionally be attached to secure the profile. In all corner areas additional longitudinal bores are attached. These longitudinal bores can serve, for example, to couple together park benches arranged side by side in the longitudinal direction. But you can also serve to attach the longitudinal bars 2 on the bench frame or to connect the longitudinal bars with face plates 3.
  • FIGS. 7-10 are assembled park benches of different design, in a section along the line AA, such as purely in the FIG. 1 shown, shown.
  • the longitudinal beams 2 are thus cut recognizable.
  • the spars 2 are on the Front plate 3 attached.
  • the bank frame 4 is connected to the front plate 3.
  • the cover plates which are not recognizable here, are in turn connected to the bench frame 4.
  • FIGS. 11-15 shows the actual design of the individual components.
  • FIG. 11 shows a front plate 3 for the production of a park bench without backrest, while the FIG. 13 a corresponding end plate 3 for the production of a park bench with backrest shows.
  • the bores 33 are interspersed by the mentioned screws 30 for fastening the longitudinal beams 2.
  • the bores 33 have on this side of the front plate 3 corresponding counterbores 34 for receiving the countersunk heads of the screws 30.
  • the bank frame 4 which corresponding Threaded holes 35, connect to the front plate 3.
  • Further threaded holes 36 in the bench frame 4 are used to attach the corresponding cover plates 5, which in turn have countersunk holes 37.
  • openings 40 in the bank frame 4 which are arranged so that even if the face plate 3 is bolted to the bench frame 4, access to the screws 30, with which the longitudinal beams 2 are connected to the face plate 3, remain accessible. This allows the replacement of a single longitudinal spar without having to solve the park bench from the attachment or even completely take apart.
  • the park bench according to the invention fulfills all the tasks set.
  • the rubber-elastic material of the sheathing of the longitudinal bars 2 results in a comfortable seating.
  • the rubber-elastic material prevents the attachment of algae and in particular, the longitudinal bars can have a round or rounded cross-section with which also residual water does not remain on the seat. This also provides an improvement in terms of possible algae formation and also causes the seat dries faster.
  • the rubber-elastic material can have a variety of embodiments. A sufficient elasticity to be able to raise the tubular material on the aluminum profile sections, is required. In question come here certain PVC materials closed polyurethane foam hoses and other stabilized against UV rays plastic materials.
  • all metal parts are made of stainless steel. Since both the end plates 3 and the bench frame 4 and the cover plate 5 are made of plate material, all three basic elements can also be made of the same plate and thus have the same material thickness. This is particularly advantageous for the bearing holder in the production.
  • the rubber-elastic casing 21 is raised with an excess, with respect to the length, to the aluminum profile sections 20.
  • the excess of the rubber-elastic casing 21 is between 1 and 3 cm per linear meter.
  • vandals could put a knife in this area and slit the rubber-elastic sheath.
  • no starting point for a knife is given.
