Description

The invention relates to a motor vehicle lock having the features of the preamble of claim 1. Furthermore, the invention relates to a lock latch for a motor vehicle lock with the features of the preamble of claim 13.

The motor vehicle lock in question may be associated with any closure element of a motor vehicle. Examples include a side door, which may possibly be configured as a sliding door, a tailgate, a Heckdekkel, a hood, or the like.

The known motor vehicle locks usually have the closing elements lock latch and pawl, or the like for locking a motor vehicle door. are the crucial components. The latch is in an open position, a main closing position and, insofar as provided, in a prelocking displaced. The pawl can be adjusted to a raised state in which the latch is free of the pawl. Furthermore, the pawl can be brought into a sunken state in which it holds the latch in one of the two closed positions.

In the closed state of the motor vehicle door or the like. is the latch in holding engagement with a closing wedge or the like. In this case, the motor vehicle lock is usually the like on the motor vehicle door. and the closing wedge arranged on the body of the motor vehicle.

For holding engagement with the closing wedge or the like. the latch has an inlet mouth with a corresponding engagement area. When locking the vehicle door or the like. the holding force on the engagement area of the inlet mouth of the lock latch on the closing wedge or the like. transfer.

For the engagement between the latch and the pawl lock latch is equipped with a main catch and possibly existing pre-rest. The pawl has a latching nose, which comes into engagement with the existing pre-catch or the main catch during the closing process. The pawl is biased usually in the direction of incidence, so that it occurs in a snap action.

In particular, during the closing process, but also when opening the lock, arise in the motor vehicle lock in question by the engagement between the pawl and latch and between closing wedge and latch undesirable noise, which are seen by the user as a loss of comfort.

During the closing process first meets the closing wedge or the like. on the latch to move from the open position to the main closed position, which is already associated with a noise. Then the pawl falls and hits with a snap sound on the latch while the latch is still in an overstroke position. The seal back pressure generated by the door seal ensures that the closing wedge or the like. now meets with appropriate noise on a designated engagement region of the inlet mouth of the latch. In this case, the locking lug of the pawl comes into engagement with the main catch or the pre-restraint and ensures again for a corresponding noise.

Numerous measures have become known in order to avoid the undesired noise developments described above. A known motor vehicle lock ( DE 23 20 351 A ) is configured as described above, in which case a jacket of the latch is provided with a plastic material for noise damping. This sheath is also provided at certain points with additional Pufferausbildungen. The sheath also covers the engagement area of the inlet mouth.

The avoidance of the noisy engagement between the detent of the pawl and the main catch of the latch is in the EP 1 500 762 A2 treated. Here, the casing on the abutment surface of the main catch on a noise-damping shape.

The known motor vehicle lock ( DE 102 16 313 A1 ), from which the invention proceeds, has basically the same construction as described above. The latch is here again provided with a jacket, which also covers the engagement area of the inlet mouth. In this engagement area, but also in other areas of the sheath, additional buffer bags are provided. The buffer pockets are filled to optimize the damping behavior with a material that is softer than the material of the shell otherwise.

All measures described above relate primarily to the reduction of noise when closing and possibly when opening the vehicle door or the like .. Not taken into account are noise that occurs during driving by a relative movement between the striker and the latch. Such sounds are also called "creaks". They go back to the well-known "stick-slip effect" and are determined on the one hand by the coefficient of friction of the material pairing between closing wedge and latch and on the other hand by the vibration behavior of the mechanical arrangement. Incidentally, undesirable squeaking noises are often associated with the above relative movement.

In a known motor vehicle lock ( DE 102 20 225 A1 ) it is provided to avoid the "creaking", the metallic locking wedge o. The like. And / or a cooperating with the closing wedge o. The like., Metallic part of the lock with a surface coating of a hard material layer. Such hard coatings of metallic surfaces are known, for example, in the field of tool production, in particular the production of drilling or milling tools. With this measure, a high surface hardness on the one hand and a low coefficient of friction on the other hand can be realized. The disadvantage here is the fact that the need for metallic surfaces again lead to unwanted impact noise between closing wedge o. The like. And with the closing wedge o. The like. Cooperating part of the castle. Furthermore, the high manufacturing expense is disadvantageous.

In another known motor vehicle lock ( US 4,756,564 A ), it is provided that the sheath of the latch in a region of the inlet mouth is made of a softer material than in another area of the inlet mouth. The original for the holding engagement with the closing wedge or the like. Provided engagement region of the inlet mouth is designed in all variants of this motor vehicle lock free of damping material.

The invention is based on the problem to design the known motor vehicle lock such and further, that the noise caused by the relative movement between the closing wedge o. The like. And the lock trap is reduced by simple structural means.

The above problem is solved in a motor vehicle lock according to the preamble of claim 1 by the features of the characterizing part of claim 1.

It is essential to realize that optimum results in terms of achievable noise reduction can be achieved by the fact that the sheath of the latch formed of two different materials.

The first material is preferably a soft elastic plastic with good self-damping behavior. This material serves to reduce the engagement noise between the pawl and latch, for example, the noise resulting from the engagement of the pawl.

The second material serves to reduce the engagement noise between the locking wedge and latch. This second material thus finds application primarily in the area of engagement of the inlet mouth in which the closing wedge or the like comes into engagement with the lock catch.

Compared to the first material, the second material has a lower coefficient of friction and / or a greater hardness and therefore counteracts the occurrence of the stick-slip effect between the closing wedge o. The like. And latch. A "creaking" that occurs due to the relative movement between the locking wedge and the latch can be easily avoided.

The jacket can also reduce noise in other areas. In that regard, the present description is not restrictive. For example, it has also been recognized that the stick-slip effect can also occur in the region of the bearing of the latch, ie between a bearing mandrel and a bearing bore of the latch. In the preferred embodiment according to claim 3, the casing also in the region of the bearing bore of the second material with a relatively low coefficient of friction and / or high hardness.

Thus, it is true that, in principle, different measures have to be taken for different noise sources during operation of the motor vehicle lock. According to the proposal, an optimal noise reduction, which takes into account all the different sources of noise, but simply by the fact that the Schloßfallenummantelung - with a suitable design - consists of two different materials.

The preferred embodiments according to claims 8 to 11 allow a particularly simple production of the proposed lock latch. The existing of the second material portion of the sheath is on or used with a simple mechanical assembly step.

According to another teaching, which also has independent significance, the lock latch of the motor vehicle lock is claimed as such. Reference may be made to the above statements.

The proposed motor vehicle lock has, in addition to the illustrated locking elements latch 1 and pawl 2 and a lock mechanism, not shown, a lock housing, not shown on. In the present case, however, the design of the latch 1 is of interest in the first place.

The latch 1 is in an open position, a main closed position ( Fig. 1 . 3 ) and in a Vorschließstellung relocatable. For this purpose, the latch 1 has a main catch 3 and a pre-rest 4. The pawl 2 is in a raised state, in which the latch 1 is free from the pawl 2, and in a sunken state ( Fig. 1 . 3 ), in which the pawl 2 holds the latch 1 in the main closed position and in the prelocking position, brought. For this purpose, the pawl 2 can be brought with a detent 5 in engagement with the main catch 3 and the pre-detent 4.

In the main closed position and in the prelocking the latch 1 is in holding engagement with a striker 6, which can also be configured as a locking pin or as a striker. For this holding engagement, the latch 1 has an inlet mouth 7 with a corresponding engagement area 8.

The structural design of the lock catch 1 is of particular importance in the present case. It has a preferably metallic base body 9 and is otherwise encased to reduce the engagement noise between the pawl 2 and latch 1 and between the locking wedge 6 and latch 1 with a damping material. In this case, there is the sheath 10 to reduce the interference noise between pawl 2 and latch 1 of a first material, preferably made of a soft elastic plastic with good self-damping behavior.

It is essential that the sheath 10 in the engagement region 8 of the inlet mouth 7 consists of a second material, which has a lower coefficient of friction and possibly a greater hardness compared to the first material. It has been explained in the general part of the description that hereby the occurrence of the stick-slip effect between the striker 6 and the latch 1 can be counteracted. In the Fig. 1, 2 . 3 the area of the casing 10 consisting of the first material is designated 10a and the area of the casing 10 made of the second material is designated 10b.

It can be the representations in Fig. 1 . 3 From the lower part of the fork-like shape of the lock catch 1 on the engagement portion 8 of the inlet mouth 7, ie on the existing shell of the second material shell 10, acts on the lower part of the closing wedge 6 in the closed motor vehicle door o. Characterized in that the second material has a relatively low coefficient of friction and possibly a relatively high hardness, the latch 1 in the engagement area 8 effectively acts as a sliding bearing for the striker 6, so that with the relative movements occurring between the striker 6 and the latch 1 during driving hardly any noise developments are connected.

In the in the Fig. 1, 2 . 3 illustrated and so far preferred embodiments, it is such that the lock catch 1 is designed as a rotary latch axis rotatable about a catch 11 and that the catch is mounted on a bearing pin 12 and this has a bearing bore 13 with corresponding bearing surface 14. In this case, the sheath 10 passes over the bearing surface 14 of the bearing bore 13. The sheath 10 in the region of the bearing bore 13 consists of the second material, which has a lower coefficient of friction and possibly a greater hardness compared to the first material. With this additional measure, the occurrence of the stick-slip effect between the bearing bore 13 and the bearing mandrel 12 can be avoided.

The proposed solution can best be realized in that the first material and the second material are plastic materials. The first material is preferably a thermoplastic polyester elastomer (TPE). The commercially available materials Hytrel® 4774, Hytrel® 5526, Hytrel® 6356 from DuPont® or Riteflex® 677 from Ticona® have proved particularly advantageous. The respective Shore hardnesses (ISO 868, 15s) are preferably between 43 and 77, preferably 51 (Hytrel® 5526).

The soft-elastic nature of these materials ensures the damping of pulse-like suggestions of the latch 1, for example, when the pawl 2. The resulting intrinsic sound radiation is absorbed to other areas of the latch 1.

By contrast, the second material is optimized as described to avoid the stick-slip effect. The second material is preferably a polymer sliding bearing material. Can be advantageously used here, the materials commercially available Iglidur ® G, Iglidur ® W 300 and Iglidur ® J of Igus ®. The Shore D hardnesses (DIN 53505) lie in a range between 74 and 81. The sliding coefficient of friction of these materials is preferably between 0.08 and 0.23.

The 3 and 4 show an embodiment of the latch 1 of the proposed motor vehicle lock, which is very easy to customize. In this case, the casing 10 is configured as an insert element 15 in the engagement region 8 of the inlet mouth 7. For example, the insert element 15 may be designed in the manner of a bearing shell. This is in Fig. 4 shown. The bearing shell extends over an angular range 16 between 180 ° and 190 °, preferably between 182 ° and 185 °.

Furthermore, it may be advantageous to design the casing 10 in the region of the bearing bore 13 also as an insert element. A particularly preferred embodiment provides that the sheath 10 in the engagement region 8 of the inlet opening 7 and the casing 10 in the region of the bearing bore 13 are connected, preferably as a single, more preferably as a one-piece insert element 17, configured. The former variant is in the Fig. 1, 2 shown. For example, it is conceivable that the unitary insert element 17 is mounted with a single assembly movement in the axial direction. Other types of installation are conceivable.

Die Seitendarstellung der Schließelemente Schloßfalle 1 und Sperrklinke 2 dieses Kraftfahrzeugschlosses entspricht der Darstellung in Fig. 1.In a preferred motor vehicle lock according to Fig. 5 a uniform insert element 17 is provided, which comprises the sheath 10 in the engagement region 8 of the inlet mouth 7 and the sheath 10 in the region of the bearing bore 13 and which can be mounted in a particularly simple manner. The side view of the closing elements latch 1 and pawl 2 of this motor vehicle lock corresponds to the representation in Fig. 1 ,

Diese beiden Ummantelungen 10 erstrecken sich im wesentlichen senkrecht zu den Flachseiten der Schloßfalle 1.At the in Fig. 5 illustrated embodiment, the insert member 17, as in the in Fig. 2 illustrated embodiment, two parallel between the engaging portion 8 and the bearing bore 13 extending legs 17a, 17b, each resting on a flat side of the latch 1. The legs 17a, 17b are preferably flat in the manner of a small plate o. The like. Designed. At one end, the sheaths 17a, 17b join the sheath 10 in the engagement region 8 and at the other end the sheath 10 in the region of the bearing bore 13. These two sheaths 10 extend substantially perpendicular to the flat sides of the latch 1.

At the in Fig. 5 illustrated and so far preferred embodiment, the two legs 17a, 17b of the insert member 17 via the sheath 10 of the engagement portion 8, and not connected via the sheath 10 in the region of the bearing bore 13 with each other. The casing 10 in the region of the bearing bore 13 is formed by two sleeves 17 c, 17 d, which in each case adjoin a leg 17 a, 17 b of the insert element 17. A gap 17e always remains between the two sleeves 17c, 17d, so that manufacturing tolerances are unproblematic.

For mounting, the insert element 17 can be bent slightly in the region of the casing 10 for the bearing bore 13. As a result, the insert element 17 can slide over the latch 1 until the sleeves 17c, 17d snap into the bearing bore 13. The assembly is connected with minimal effort.

For the embodiment of the casing in the region of the bearing bore 13 various other variants are conceivable. For example, it may be provided that only a single sleeve 17c is provided, which adjoins one of the two legs 17a, 17b. This sleeve preferably extends over the entire width of the latch 1, that is, from one flat side to the other flat side of the latch 1.

Of course, a plurality of insert elements may be provided, for example one for the engagement region 8 and one for the bearing bore 13. The attachment of the insert elements 15, 17 may be done by clipping, welding or gluing.

In a particularly preferred embodiment, it is provided that the existing of the first material portion of the sheath 10 is molded onto the latch 1 and that the existing of the second material portion of the sheath 10 on or inserted, preferably clipped, welded or glued , But it can also be provided that the entire casing 10 is molded onto the latch 1.

In all illustrated embodiments, it is preferably such that the transitions between the existing of the first material sheath 10a and the respective existing of the second material sheath 10b are continuous, so realized without edges or heels. For example, the legs 17a, 17b of the insert element 17 form a surface with the casing 10 in the rest.

Finally, it should be pointed out that the latch 1 of the proposed motor vehicle lock is claimed as such. In that regard, reference may be made to the above statements.
